New Podcast Let Us Reason - A Christian/Muslim Dialogue

This view says that nothing good comes from the church's involvement in politics.  It is wrong because God left Christians on earth to influence society and that by being involved in all aspects of life , which include being in government.  Both church and government  are instruments to help restrain evil; 1 john 3: 8. This view is usually held by pacifists, and it disagrees with Romans 13:1-6 ,where it says that government is a servant of God.  They take Luke 4: 5-7 out of context. We should also take the whole view of the Bible.  Daniel  4: 7 , says that the most high rules the kingdoms of men.  So God is in control of governments not Satan.  God allows governments to go after evil doers, He appoints governments, and he is the one that establishes them (all of them).  The job of the civil government is punish  those who do evil.  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

This view states that there is no room for religion in government and is promoted by the ACLU.  It violates the first amendment by keeping religion out of government instead of keeping the government out of religious affairs.  It also promotes atheisms as the religion of the government.  Romans 13:4 talks about government as God's agent to institute righteousness and punish evil.  If we take God out of government we remove  absolute morality and promote relativism.  Daniel 4:27,Luke 3:19, and Acts 24:25, are good examples of the influence of religion in government.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

 This view of government causes wars, and we have examples from the history of the church.  Jesus was opposed to this view, Luke 9: 52- 55.  True faith can not be forced; it is a voluntary decision.  We should appeal to people; Matt. 11: 28, Acts 28: 23.  In conclusion: Governments should never attempt to force religion on people, but provide freedom for all.    Forcing religion could lead to religious persecution or having false converts.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Jay Smith talks with Al Fadi about the many different Qurans that he and Hatun Tash found. Al Fadi discusses what  the believers reaction should be  towards rioting.  He says that we should not take sides, but think of people who are created in God's image. Al Fadi continues his study on hope from the gospel of John . He says that Jesus is the revealer of God; If we want to know God we need to know Jesus.  We need to be courageous and confident because God is in us and with us. In verses 15-17 , Jesus says that if we love him we need to obey his commandments; 1. our obedience is an evidence of our faith. 2. He will send the Holy Spirit as our helper,and the H.S. in us is another reason for hope. Al Fadi is sharing how to ask muslims the hard question about polygamy .  He uses Q 4:3 as a reference that talks about marrying many wives.  He points out that the Quran ordain and commands muslims to marry more than one wife ,but the Bible does not do that. In Genesis 2:24 and Matthew 19:3, the Bible talks that marriage is one man and one woman becoming one. Sahih Al Bukhari, vol.9:93, # 589, says that Allah said: the Prophet said, "Allah said, "I have prepared for My righteous slaves (such excellent things) as no eye has ever seen, nor an ear has ever heard nor a human heart can ever think of.' This is a copy of what the Apostle Paul said what God has prepared for his people in 2 Corinthians 2:9.  2. Ibin Kathir include the narration of how Paul met Jesus on the way to Damascus. Al Fadi and Sam Shamoun are trying to expose the lies about the Apostle Paul by discussing the mention and confirmation of the Apostle Paul in the Quran and by the commentators.  Quran 61: 14 talks about Jesus' followers were strengthened and will be dominant over everyone.  Quran 36:13,14 talks about Paul as a messenger sent by Jesus.
