Allow yourself to settle, And find the sweet caress, Of the rhythm of your breathing, It’s gentle, sweet finesse. PAUSE… Now let yourself unravel, Releasing all the weight, You have carried mountains, Now take them off your plate. PAUSE… Breathe… And let it all go. Breathe… Find a gentle flow. LONG PAUSE… You probably may not notice, How special it is at all, That you manage so much, All the big and small. PAUSE… Not only are you planning, All you need for you. Knowing and Protecting Your Boundaries

And knowing and protecting your boundaries is a core part of loving yourself. In doing so, we make more room for what feels good. And proactively say no to what feels bad. Boundaries change and evolve as we change and evolve. So this morning’s meditation will give you the space to explore your boundaries so you can gain clarity on what they are and any ways you can protect them. So close your eyes if they’re not already, And take a deep breath in as we set an intention for today. May I gain clarity on the boundaries I need to feel more joy in my life, And release any judgements that may arise. And may I be bold as I claim them. PAUSE… Lower your hands, And settle deeper into your position, Letting the warmth of your calming breath pull you in deeper, Its rhythm soothing you into a space of calm. Be here. Breathing in, And breathing out. Letting any thoughts float away, As you sit in the silence. PAUSE… Now take a moment to think about a recent time where you felt anger, or stress, or frustration. Let yourself see those moments without connecting to the emotions they brought up. PAUSE… Take a look at them. And ask yourself this question, Was there a boundary I could have set that would have prevented these emotions? Perhaps you could have said no. Perhaps you could have been more diligent about your schedule or daily habits. Maybe you could have accepted help. Give yourself a moment to simply sit with any of the answers that come up for you, Careful to let go of any self-judgements that may come up. LONG PAUSE… Now take a deep breath in, inviting in courage and strength and an enormous amount of self-love, And as you breathe out, relax, And feel yourself aligned. Clear. Whole. PAUSE... Today’s practice is one you can come back to any time anger, stress or frustration alert you that a boundary might be off. So you can be kind with yourself as you get to know and protect your boundaries. The night is inviting you to sleep deeply tonight, my love, So you can awaken to a new, fresh beginning tomorrow morning. Where the weight of today has vanished and anything is possible. So gently ease yourself into your most favorite sleeping position, Squeezing your eyes shut tight for just a few seconds, One, two, three… And then release the tension and relax, Feeling the weight of your eyelids gently soften your face. Now take a deep breath in, Filling up your belly with air, And then holding it for just a few seconds. Hold it. And then exhale, Releasing the air, releasing the tension, releasing the day. PAUSE… Find your breath. Let yourself follow it, In and out. Expanding and contracting. Cleansing and releasing. Surrender to it, The rhythmic motion of air, Like the waves of the ocean dancing with the beach, Rising and covering the sand, And then retracting and releasing its hold. Breathing in, Breathing out. Breathe… PAUSE… Everything that you’re holding onto right now, All those thoughts, Worries, Plans, Desires, Breathe them out every time you exhale. They do not belong here. They have no power in this moment. It’s only you, And your breath. So breathe them out, And let them go. PAUSE… Feel a space slowly open up inside, A space with no past, A space with no expectations, A space with no boundaries. And see if you can feel this space expand just a bit more with every new breath in. Breathe out and release, Breathe in and expand. PAUSE… Melt deeper into your bed, And feel the spaciousness inside of you grow, Making room for tomorrow’s new beginning. A chance to wake up to a fresh, clean slate. Anything is possible here. Nothing from the past can imprison you, Nothing from the future can scare you, Let that all go, And be here now with the lightness of this space inside, Where new beginnings abound. Feel it deeply relax your eyes, Soften your cheeks, Release your jaw, Soften your mouth, And relieve your neck. LONG PAUSE… Notice as the soft, lavender light travels down, Wrapping its soothing energy around your shoulders, Your right arm, Your left arm, Your hands. PAUSE… Notice the soft hum of sleep it spreads here, And then feel your shoulders drop, Your right arm and your left arm melt, And your hands soften and relax, LONG PAUSE… The soothing lavender light now settles onto your chest, Relaxes your belly, And slowly cascades down your back, Following your spine from your neck, All the way down to your lower back. Relaxing and releasing, Relaxing and releasing. LONG PAUSE… Invite the calming energy of the soft, lavender light to spread into your hips, Down into your thighs, And circling around your left leg, And now your right leg. PAUSE... Watch it spiral all the way down into your right foot, And then your left foot. And then covering your toes, One by one. LONG PAUSE… Breathe deeply, And feel yourself wrapped lovingly in the soothing, Lavender light of the night. And allowing these noticings to pull us back into the present moment. LONG PAUSE… Find your breath. Feel the cool air on your nose as you breath in, And the warm air on your nose as you breathe out. PAUSE… Feel the rise and fall of your stomach with each cycle. PAUSE… Let each exhale relax your body a bit further, Imagining yourself melting into comfort. PAUSE… Breathe… And allow yourself to be here for a bit, Mindful of the thoughts, Mindful of the feelings, Mindful to bring yourself back into the now. Hello from Katie : The Energy of Worry vs the Energy of Trust
How do you feel when you wake up in the morning lately? I’ve noticed that I wake up under the weight of a never-ending task list. I spend my mornings in my head, organizing, prioritizing and putting life’s puzzle pieces together. I get a lot of satisfaction out of this. (Anyone else’s brain work like tetris?) But, I’ve noticed that there’s an undercurrent of anxiety here. Kinda like, if I keep checking things off this task list, “it” won’t get me. I can keep “it” at bay. What is “it?” I’m not too sure yet. But what I do know is that there are a lot of moving parts in my life right now. (You too?). Many big things in transition. So, perhaps my tetris brain feels some sense of control as all these things are on the move. Perhaps this in and of itself is fine, but what about the underlying worry? It’s like I’m watching an artist painting a mural and I’m unsure of how the big, red stroke of color she just made fits in. I can’t see the larger picture. So I worry. I let anxiety pool up inside my mind and body and fret about each brushstroke. I seem to forget that I can just sit back and trust that the artist will create the most magical masterpiece. That I can surrender to the flow of the process. And I forget that I am the artist. And that I am creating this vision with the Universe. Can you think of an area of your life where you are in the energy of worry lately? What are you always trying to control? What are you always trying to organize? Now breathe… How can you invite in more trust? How can you loosen your grip on all the details? Trust the process. Trust yourself. Trust the flow. Trust in the divine purpose of it all. And how does that make you feel? Today I’m making a few declarations, commitments to myself, and you’re welcome to join in with me if it feels right for you. I choose to pause each morning and become aware of my energy. I choose to remember who I am, so that I may move through my day aligned. I choose to follow what feels good, and trust my intuition. I choose to remember that I am the painter…the creator of my life. Each color, each brushstroke is up to me. I choose to let go of the energy of worry and surrender to the energy of trust.
