'Soulless Spurs'

Host Ricky Sacks was joined by Lee McQueen, Jamie Brown from Daily Hotspur and Chris Cowlin on this Last Word On Spurs. Jorginho's first-half penalty saw Chelsea deservedly beat Tottenham 1-0 as Thomas Tuchel won his first game on the road in charge of the Blues. The Italy playmaker converted from the spot after 24 minutes following a foul by Eric Dier, who needlessly brought down Timo Werner in the decisive moment of the match. Jose Mourinho's side barely threatened thereafter in what was a lacklustre display from the hosts, who have now lost their last three games in a row, including their previous two at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the first time at their new ground. As a result, Chelsea have jumped up to sixth in the Premier League, while Spurs stay eighth in the table. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #TOTCHE #SPURS #LWOS Learn more about your ad choices. 'Seagulls Down Spurs'

Host Ricky Sacks was joined by Lee McQueen, John Wenham and Richard Cracknell on this Last Word On Spurs Brighton boosted their survival chances after securing their first home success of the season with a 1-0 victory over a lacklustre Tottenham. Graham Potter's side were by far the better of the two sides in the first half, but they only had Leandro Trossard's 17th-minute strike to show for their dominance. Spurs, who handed Gareth Bale just his second Premier League start since his return to the club in place of the injured Harry Kane, struggled for any sort of rhythm and it took them until the 75th minute to fashion their first real chance as Robert Sanchez brilliantly saved substitute Carlos Vinicius' strike. Brighton spurned a golden opportunity late on through Aaron Connolly to make the game safe, but they weren't punished as Spurs failed to find an equaliser on what was a disappointing night for Jose Mourinho and his side. Victory sees Brighton move seven points clear of the relegation zone, while the result means Spurs, who have suffered back-to-back defeats in the league, stay sixth. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #LWOS Learn more about your ad choices. 'Liverpool Punish Spurs'

Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Lee McQueen, Jamie Brown from Daily Hotspur and Chris Cowlin on this Last Word On Spurs. Liverpool returned to form in impressive fashion as the Premier League champions secured a convincing victory at Tottenham Hotspur. After a run of five league games without a win - four of those without a goal - Liverpool moved back into the top four as they discovered their cutting edge in style at the expense of an uninspiring Spurs. Spurs, who lost striker Harry Kane to an ankle injury at half-time, had an early Son Heung-min strike ruled out for offside before Liverpool's threat was rewarded with their first league goal in 482 minutes in first-half stoppage time. Brazil striker Roberto Firmino took advantage of hesitation between Eric Dier and Hugo Lloris to tap in Sadio Mane's low cross from close range. France keeper Lloris was at fault again two minutes after the break when he pushed Mane's shot into the path of right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, who finished emphatically. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg's 20-yard strike gave Spurs hope almost immediately but Liverpool were always in control of an entertaining second period. After Mohamed Salah saw a goal disallowed by VAR for handball by Firmino in the build-up, Mane stole in at the far post to pounce on an error by the otherwise impressive Joe Rodon to secure the win for Jurgen Klopp's side. Liverpool are now four points behind leaders Manchester City having played a game more. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #LWOS Learn more about your ad choices. 'N'Domballer'

Host Richard Cracknell was joined by Jamie Brown from the Daily Hotspur, Chris Cowlin and Jason McGovern on this edition of the Last Word On Spurs. Tottenham needed three goals in the final five minutes as they survived an FA Cup scare to overcome a spirited Wycombe 4-1 on Monday. Fred Onyedinma slotted Wycombe ahead midway through the first half as a much-changed Spurs were punished for their early wastefulness at Adams Park. Gareth Bale hauled Spurs level on the stroke of half-time, converting his fourth presentable chance, but a stubborn Wycombe refused to roll over, forcing Jose Mourinho to turn his star-studded bench to avoid extra-time. And, with four minutes remaining, Spurs' quality finally told as Harry Winks' first FA Cup goal and a late double from Tanguy Ndombele set up a fifth-round tie away at Everton. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #LWOS Learn more about your ad choices. 'Ndombele Sprinkles Stardust'

Host Ricky Sacks was joined by Lee McQueen, John from Lilywhite and Richard Cracknell on this Last Word On Spurs. Stunning goals from Tanguy Ndombele and Harry Kane fired Tottenham into the top four as Sheffield United's troubles continued with a 3-1 defeat at Bramall Lane on Super Sunday. The Blades claimed their first league win of the season against Newcastle on Tuesday but were brought back down to earth when Serge Aurier headed Spurs ahead inside five minutes, before Kane added a second with a brilliant individual effort shortly before half-time. David McGoldrick's sixth goal of the season gave United hope of staging a second-half comeback, but their challenge was extinguished by a goal-of-the-season contender from Ndombele, whose outrageous lob restored Spurs' two-goal cushion three minutes later. Spurs climb up to fifth in the Premier League, four points off leaders Manchester United ahead of their trip to Liverpool, after returning to winning ways, while United remain rooted to the foot of the table, 11 points from safety. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #SHUTOT #LWOS Learn more about your ad choices. 'Same Old Story'

Host Richard Cracknell was joined by Lee McQueen, Jamie Brown from Daily Hotspur and Chris Cowlin as the Last Word On Spurs returned. Tottenham dropped more points in their pursuit of the Premier League pacesetters as Ivan Cavaleiro scored a late equaliser for Fulham in a 1-1 draw. Jose Mourinho's men looked in full control of the game when Harry Kane headed home (25) a fantastic Sergio Reguilon cross but a second goal evaded them. Heung-Min Son was denied in spectacular fashion by Alphonse Areola just before the break and then struck the post on 72 minutes. Fulham always carried plenty of weight with their attacks, though, and it wasn't a surprise when Ivan Cavaleiro equalised following a wonderful cross from Ademola Lookman (74). Spurs finished the match with a front four but lacked the required attacking rhythm to put any pressure on Fulham, who have now drawn their last five matches. Only Brighton (12) and Sheffield United (11) have now dropped more points from winning positions than Spurs (10) in the Premier League this season. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #TOTFUL Learn more about your ad choices. 'Simply Devine'

Host Richard Cracknell was joined by Lee McQueen, Jamie Brown from the Daily Hotspur and Antony Costa as the Last Word On Spurs returned. Carlos Vinicius scored a first-half hat-trick as Tottenham avoided an FA Cup third-round upset after easing past non-League Marine 5-0. The Premier League side, sitting 160 places above their hosts in the football pyramid - the biggest such gap in the competition's history - were given an early scare when Neil Kengni rattled the bar from distance. Thereafter, though, it was all Spurs, with Vinicius opening the scoring midway through the first half with a simple tap in, before doubling his team's lead with another close-range finish on the half-hour mark. Two minutes later, Lucas Moura's curling free-kick made it 3-0 to Spurs and Vinicius completed his hat-trick with a delightful lob eight minutes before half-time. Sixteen-year-old substitute Alfie Devine completed the scoring with a low drive on the hour-mark as Jose Mourinho's side cruised into Monday night's draw for the fourth and fifth rounds. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #MARTOT #FACUP Learn more about your ad choices. 'José's Dream'

Host Richard Cracknell was joined by Lee McQueen, Jamie Brown from Daily Hotspur and Chris Cowlin on this Last Word On Spurs. Moussa Sissoko and Heung-Min Son were on target as Tottenham eased into the Carabao Cup final after overcoming Brentford 2-0 on Tuesday night. Sissoko scored his first goal since December 2019 to break the deadlock with a well-placed header (12), with Son's emphatic finish (70) doubling Tottenham's lead seven minutes after Ivan Toney's close-range strike was ruled out by VAR for offside. Brentford's hopes of reaching Wembley were ended in the final six minutes when Josh Dasilva was dismissed for a dangerous challenge on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg that was missed by referee Mike Dean in real-time, with the red card shown upon review. Tottenham have been chasing silverware for 13 years, since lifting this trophy under Juande Ramos in 2008, and they will now await the winners of the Manchester derby in the other semi-final on Wednesday. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #TOTBRE #CARABAOCUP Learn more about your ad choices. 'How Good Were Leeds'

Host Richard Cracknell was joined by Lee McQueen, Jamie Brown from Daily Hotspur and John Wenham from Lilywhite Rose as the panel returned. Heung-Min Son's 100th Tottenham goal helped his side return to winning ways as a 3-0 victory over Leeds moved Spurs back into the top four, even though the win was soured by Matt Doherty's late red card. Harry Kane put Spurs ahead from the spot just before the half-hour mark after Steven Bergwijn was fouled by Ezgjan Alioski, and moments before half-time Son doubled the lead when he combined yet again with the England striker to stroke past Illan Meslier. Patrick Bamford was guilty of missing Leeds' best chance but the visitors created few clear-cut opportunities to worry Hugo Lloris, while at the other end Toby Alderweireld headed in his first goal since July to add Spurs' third from Son's corner. Tanguy Ndombele and Bergwijn both tested Meslier as Spurs looked to add to their lead but their victory moved them joint third in the Premier League and ahead of Leicester on goal difference, with Doherty's second bookable offence in injury time the one blot on the hosts' copybook on an otherwise perfect afternoon. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #TOTLEE Learn more about your ad choices. 'Saiss Thwarts Spurs'

Host Richard Cracknell was joined by Lee McQueen, Jamie Brown from Daily Hotspur and Antony Costa on this Last Word On Spurs. Romain Saiss' late goal earned a well-deserved 1-1 draw for Wolves after Tanguy Ndombele had put Tottenham ahead inside a minute. It was almost a classic Jose Mourinho performance once again from Tottenham, as Ndombele send a low, hard strike past Rui Patricio after 57 seconds. They then sat back and soaked up plenty of Wolves pressure, having only one shot in the second half and their last shot on target in the 21st minute. Spurs were let down by some lax set-piece defending as Saiss flicked home from a corner in the 86th minute to seal a point for the hosts. Ruben Neves and Fabio Silva both had late chances to win it for Wolves, but were thwarted by Hugo Lloris. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #WOLTOT Learn more about your ad choices. 'Spurs Sink Stoke'

Host Richard Cracknell was joined by Lee McQueen, Jamie Brown from Daily Hotspur and Chris Cowlin as the Last Word On Spurs returned. Tottenham moved to within two wins of a first major trophy since 2008 after seeing off Championship Stoke City in the Carabao Cup. Gareth Bale's third goal since returning on loan from Real Madrid saw Jose Mourinho's side take the lead, the Wales forward beating Andy Lonergan with a flicked header from Harry Winks' wonderful delivery. Spurs were dominant and should have scored more before half-time but Lonergan, part of Liverpool's title-winning squad of last season, made good saves to twice deny Dele Alli as well as Harry Kane. Stoke were much better after the interval and equalised with their first shot on target when Jacob Brown picked out Jordan Thompson to produce a controlled finish past Hugo Lloris. But Ben Davies' 25 yard finish in-off the post ensured Spurs regained the lead before Kane lashed home his side's third goal. Tottenham avoided holders Manchester City in the semi-final draw and will now face Championship side Brentford in early January in a one-off tie. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #STKTOT #CARABAOCUP Learn more about your ad choices. 'Spurs Out-Foxed'

Host Richard Cracknell was joined by Lee McQueen, Jamie Brown from Daily Hotspur and John Wenham from Lilywhite Rose. Tottenham handed Leicester a couple of early Christmas gifts, as Jamie Vardy's penalty and Toby Alderweireld's own goal took the Foxes to a 2-0 victory and second place in the Premier League table on Sunday. At the end of an even first half, Serge Aurier, in what Sky Sports pundit Roy Keane described as a moment of "utter madness", barged into Wesley Fofana in the Spurs box and, after a VAR check, a spot-kick was awarded, which Vardy (45+4) thumped home. The Foxes thought they had gone two clear at the start of the second half, when James Maddison converted a long pass forward, but VAR spotted an offside. However, the otherwise impressive Alderweireld gave Leicester another helping hand on 59 minutes, turning Vardy's header into his own net, after the striker out-jumped Moussa Sissoko. The result compounds a bad week for Jose Mourinho's side, who now have just one win in five Premier League games and sit fifth after Manchester United's win over Leeds, but Leicester will spend Christmas as Liverpool's nearest challengers, four points off top spot. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #TOTLEI #LWOS Learn more about your ad choices. 'The Fine Margins'

Host Richard Cracknell was joined by Lee McQueen, Jamie from Daily Hotspur and Chris Cowlin as the Last Word On Spurs returned. Roberto Firmino's last-minute header broke Tottenham's stubborn resistance at Anfield and sent Liverpool to the top of the Premier League table. An entertaining encounter looked set to end in stalemate before - with the game entering stoppage time - Firmino soared to flash a header high past Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris from Andrew Robertson's corner. Liverpool flew at Spurs in the opening exchanges and went ahead when Mohamed Salah's shot took a big deflection off Eric Dier and looped over Lloris. Spurs had barely left their own half but struck with a counter punch seven minutes later when Son Heung-min raced clear to slip a composed finish past Alisson. Spurs actually had the better chances in the second half, with Steven Bergwijn firing wide then hitting a post when clean through and Harry Kane heading over from point-blank range. Manager Jose Mourinho was left to regret those missed opportunities as a late Liverpool surge ended with Firmino's winner to send the defending champions three points clear at the top of the table and inflict Spurs' first Premier League loss since the opening weekend home defeat against Everton. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #LIVTOT #TOTLEI Learn more about your ad choices. 'Guaita Saves Palace'

Host Richard Cracknell was joined by Lee McQueen, Jamie Brown from Daily Hotspur and John Wenham from Lilywhite Rose as the Last Word On Spurs returned. Jeffrey Schlupp struck late to earn Crystal Palace a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Tottenham as the points were shared in the rain at Selhurst Park. Harry Kane's ninth Premier League goal of the season gave visitors the lead midway through the first half (22), with Vicente Guaita beaten from 25 yards out by the striker's swirling effort. But Spurs seemed content to sit on their slender lead, and Palace deservedly equalised through Schlupp after Hugo Lloris spilled Ebere Eze's free-kick (81). Guaita made a superb one-handed save to deny Eric Dier's free-kick in stoppage time as Palace moved above Newcastle and Wolves into 11th place while Jose Mourinho's side remain top courtesy of a superior goal difference following Liverpool's surprise 1-1 draw at Fulham later on Sunday. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #CRYTOT Learn more about your ad choices. 'Top-Spot Secured!'

Host Richard Cracknell is joined by Lee McQueen, Jamie Brown from Daily Hotspur and returning guest to the Last Word On Spurs in George Sessions. Second-half goals from Carlos Vinicius and Giovani Lo Celso saw Tottenham top their Europa League group with a comfortable 2-0 win over Royal Antwerp. Vinicius should have put Spurs ahead before half-time when played through by Lucas Moura but shot straight at Alireza Beiranvand, before making amends with a tap-in 10 minutes into the second period after Gareth Bale's free-kick had been tipped onto the post. Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son and Tanguy Ndombele were surprise additions from the bench moments later and the former had a hand in Spurs' second, feeding Lo Celso to slot in from a closing angle with 19 minutes to go. Spurs needed victory to secure top spot and a favourable route in next week's last-32 draw, and comfortably saw out the three points against their Belgian visitors, who did not manage a shot on target across 90 minutes. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #TOTANT #UEL Learn more about your ad choices. 'Arsenal Get Mourinho'd'

Host Richard Cracknell was joined by Lee McQueen, Jamie Brown from Daily Hotspur and Antony Costa as Last Word On Spurs return. The Premier League's deadliest current double-act struck again as Heung-min Son and Harry Kane were both on target as Tottenham beat Arsenal 2-0 to return to the top of the table in Sunday’s north London derby. Kane played in Son after 13 minutes for the South Korean to curl home a majestic opener for his 10th league goal of the season, much to the delight of the 2,000 fans in attendance. Son repaid the favour on the stroke of halftime as Kane lashed in his side's second. Victory means Jose Mourinho's side move two points clear of Chelsea who had claimed top spot on Saturday. 'Spurs Scrape Through'

Host Richard Cracknell was joined by Lee McQueen, Jamie from Daily Hotspur and Chris Cowlin as Last Word On Spurs returned. Heung-Min Son, Gareth Bale and Dele Alli papered over a poor Spurs performance as a 3-3 draw at LASK ensured Jose Mourinho's side qualified for the Europa League last 32. Spurs were outplayed in the first half on a freezing night in Linz and trailed to Peter Michorl's long-range effort which squirmed under Joe Hart (42). But the visitors were gifted an equaliser when Andres Andrade handled Tanguy Ndombele's shot and Bale beat Alexander Schlager from the penalty spot (45+2). After the break, Spurs barely improved but, needing only a point to qualify, found another goal to afford them some breathing space as Son ran through to score after good work from Ndombele (56). Bale should have put the result beyond doubt six minutes later with the goal at his mercy, but attempted to square for Son and missed his team-mate altogether. Hart was then again at fault to allow Johannes Eggestein to level from outside the box (84). LASK had themselves to blame for losing another foothold within minutes, however, with substitute Steven Bergwijn brought to ground in the box by Philipp Wiesinger. Alli set himself to cheekily chip Schlager from 12 yards and restore Spurs' lead, with the sort of swagger the rest of their performance had been severely lacking. There was still time for more drama in added time as another substitute, Mamoudou Karamoko, levelled with another effort from distance which this time left Hart with no chance. It was not enough to keep LASK's hopes alive, as their head-to-head record against Spurs saw them eliminated while their visitors progressed. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #SPURS #TOTARS Learn more about your ad choices. 'A New Mentality'

Host Richard Cracknell was joined by Lee McQueen, Jamie Brown from the Daily Hotspur and Antony Costa on this edition of the Last Word On Spurs. Tottenham returned to the top of the Premier League despite being held by Chelsea in a highly-competitive yet goalless London stalemate. The eagerly-anticipated fixture between two teams in excellent form failed to produce a goal as both sides cancelled each other out at Stamford Bridge. Edouard Mendy kept out Serge Aurier's ferocious strike while Steven Bergwijn scooped another Spurs chance over the bar. Chelsea were looking to celebrate Roman Abramovich's 1,000th game as club owner with victory over a Spurs team managed by their former boss Jose Mourinho. The Blues struggled to carve out clear-cut chances although Hugo Lloris produced a great late save to deny Mason Mount. Spurs, replaced at the top by Liverpool on Saturday, return to the summit, level on 21 points with the Reds but with a superior goal difference. 'Four-Midable Spurs'

Host Richard Cracknell is joined by Lee McQueen, Jamie from Daily Hotspur and Antony Costa as the Last Word On Spurs returned. Carlos Vinicius opened his Tottenham account with a double, while Harry Winks scored an amazing 56-yard fluke as Spurs cruised to a 4-0 win over Ludogorets in the Europa League. Victory put Tottenham into second place in the standings with two games remaining, level on points with Royal Antwerp who won 2-0 away at Austrian side LASK. Welsh forward Gareth Bale started for Tottenham, as did out-of-favour Dele Alli, but it was Vinicius, signed on loan from Benfica as backup for Harry Kane, who took his chance to shine. The 25-year-old put Tottenham in front after 16 minutes when Alli's ball intended for Bale deflected off a Ludogorets player into the path of Vinicius who rolled in an easy finish. Tottenham were totally dominant and Alli was also involved in the second goal, unselfishly squaring to Vinicius after Tanguy Ndombele's shot was parried out by goalkeeper Plamen Iliev. Just past the hour mark Winks enlivened the second period when he received the ball from a throw-in some 50 metres out on the left and launched a shot that flew over the head of Iliev. Tottenham were not finished, though, and Vinicius teed up Lucas Moura to fire his side's fourth. There was still time for 16-year-old striker Dane Scarlett to come off the bench for his Spurs debut and become the club's youngest-ever player to appear for the first team. Scarlett almost capped a memorable day with a chance in stoppage time but his shot rolled across the face of goal. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #LWOS #TOTLUD Learn more about your ad choices. 'Tottenham Hotspur - Top Of The League'

Host Richard Cracknell was joined by Lee McQueen, Jamie Brown from the Daily Hotspur and John Wenham from Lilywhite Rose as the Last Word On Spurs returned to discuss Tottenham Hotspur going top of the Premier League. Spurs went top of the Premier League after producing a display of clinical efficiency and tactical discipline to beat Manchester City. In the usual battle of wits between Jose Mourinho and his old adversary Pep Guardiola, the Spurs manager came out on top as his team's season gathered further momentum. Son Heung-min put Spurs in front after five minutes, finishing coolly from Tanguy Ndombele's pass before Manchester City had a first-half goal ruled out by VAR for a handball by Gabriel Jesus after Aymeric Laporte's finish. City continued to enjoy greater possession but Spurs, as you would expect from a Mourinho side, were fiercely drilled and resilient, taking their chance when it came to double their advantage and finish the game. It came in the 65th minute after a dream substitution from Mourinho, Giovani lo Celso beating Ederson with a low finish from another Kane pass 35 seconds after coming on for Tanguy Ndombele - the only cloud for Spurs coming with a late injury to Toby Alderweireld after an outstanding performance. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #TOTMCI Learn more about your ad choices. 'Andy Reid - Special'

Host Ricky Sacks was joined by John Wenham from Lilywhite Rose and former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Andy Reid on this Last Word On Spurs. Skilful midfielder Andy Reid played for Spurs between the years 2005 to 2006. After protracted negotiations, lasting for the bulk of his last season at the club, Reid completed his move from Forest to Tottenham on the last day of the January 2005 transfer window. He was joined by Michael Dawson for a combined fee of £8 million. Andy made his debut in a 3–1 win over Portsmouth on 5 February 2005, with Martin Jol saying "Andy Reid also did well on his debut, and you worry a bit how new players will cope with the Premiership". The Dublin born former player who won 29 caps for the Republic of Ireland over a ten year period, was a player who had a wand of a left foot and who was good at making key passes in games. After starting his career off at Cherry Orchard, Reid joined Nottingham Forest in 1998 where he spent seven years at before joining our beloved Spurs in the January of 2005. Reid made 26 league appearances for the Lilywhites before moving onto Charlton Athletic in the summer of 2006. He would also go onto play for the likes of Sunderland and Blackpool before returning to Nottingham Forest in 2011 who he finished off his career with. Now retired from playing, Reid coaches Nottingham Forest’s under 23 side as well as being the head coach of the Republic of Ireland’s under 18 side. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #LWOS Learn more about your ad choices. 'Late Great Kane'

Host Ricky Sacks was joined by Lee McQueen, John from Lilywhite Rose and Antony Costa on this week's Last Word On Spurs. A third successive league victory temporarily lifted Spurs to the top of the table on Sunday before Leicester replaced them after their 1-0 win against Wolves. A game of few chances seemed destined to end goalless after Hugo Lloris had kept out Darnell Furlong's second-half header and a flurry of Tottenham chances had come and gone without reward. But, as has been the case so often in the past, Kane punished a minor lack of concentration to head home an 88th-minute winner. Mourinho said: "This guy does much more than scoring goals. For example, last five minutes he was playing as a number six and winning balls in front of the defence. Special." He added: "Harry Kane you have to say has this many goals, this many assists, this number of balls recovered, this number of duels won. This number of balls that he saved his team in defensive set-pieces. This is Harry Kane. It's goals plus this and this and this and that." The England captain's latest feat comes only days after he scored his 200th goal for the club. Midfielder Eric Dier paid tribute to his team-mate's latest "fantastic record". He said: "He broke one in midweek and now he has another one. It won't affect him too much, he will want another 150." The decisive moment arrived when West Brom's defence failed to track Kane's run into the box, allowing him to leap unchecked to meet Matt Doherty's cross and guide the ball over goalkeeper Sam Johnstone. For West Brom, who have now scored once in their last five games, it was a result that keeps them in the relegation zone and already facing a tough battle to retain their top-flight status. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #WBATOT Learn more about your ad choices. 'Another Kane Landmark'

Host Ricky Sacks was joined by Lee McQueen, Jamie from the Daily Hotspur and Chris Cowlin as the Last Word On Spurs returned to review Spurs' 3-1 victory away to Ludogorets. Harry Kane marked his 300th appearance for Tottenham with his 200th goal as Jose Mourinho's side dominated a Europa League mismatch in Bulgaria. Kane, 27, long-since cemented his place in the Spurs history books but few could have predicted his prodigious goalscoring rate when he came into the first team seven years ago. Only 1960s legends Jimmy Greaves and Bobby Smith stand ahead of him in the club's records and if he stays fit - and at the club - the England captain looks set to break record after record. He could, and should, have already scored twice when he headed in a Lucas Moura corner to put Mourinho's side ahead against Ludogorets. Kane then set up Moura for Spurs' second before being replaced at the interval as the Premier League side utterly dominated the multiple Bulgarian champions. Mourinho was furious last week with his side's insipid display in Antwerp and was rewarded with a controlled, ruthless first-half performance, but the hosts were able to reply early in the second half through Claudiu Keseru. That was an anomaly though, as Giovani lo Celso's tap-in secured a routine victory that puts Spurs back in contention in Group J. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #LUDTOT #UEL #WBA #WBATOT Learn more about your ad choices. 'Bale Wins It'

Host Ricky Sacks was joined by Lee McQueen, Chris Cowlin and Richard Cracknell as the Last Word On Spurs to review Tottenham Hotspur's 2-1 win against Brighton in the Premier League. Gareth Bale's first goal since re-signing for Tottenham helped his side beat Brighton to go second in the Premier League table. In an action-packed game, Harry Kane put Spurs ahead from the penalty spot, his 149th Premier League goal, after a video assistant referee check deemed Adam Lallana had fouled the England captain. Tariq Lamptey scored a controversial equaliser, the exciting 20-year-old sweeping home after Solly March appeared to foul Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in the build-up. Referee Graham Scott consulted the pitchside monitor before allowing the goal to stand, much to Tottenham's disbelief, before substitute Bale had the final say. The Wales forward powered home a cross by Sergio Reguilon past debutant Brighton keeper Robert Sanchez, his first Spurs goal since May 2013. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #TOTBHA #BALEISBACK Learn more about your ad choices. 'Lessons To Learn'

Host Ricky Sacks was joined by Lee McQueen, Jamie Brown from Daily Hotspur and Chris Cowlin as the Last Word On Spurs returned to review the 1-0 defeat against Royal Antwerp. Tottenham slipped to a first away defeat since July after a mistake by Ben Davies helped Royal Antwerp leapfrog their Europa League opponents to go top of Group J. Davies, making his 200th Spurs appearance, was easily dispossessed by Dieumerci Mbokani, whose pass allowed Lior Refaelov to smash past Hugo Lloris. Flat and uninspired, Spurs struggled to carve out chances and Jose Mourinho made four changes at the start of the second half in an attempt to inject some urgency into his side. But it could have been worse for Tottenham, Mbokani somehow blazing over from three yards out before Harry Kane was sent on in an attempt to rescue the game. Simen Juklerod also missed a fine chance for the hosts after being sent clean through as Spurs failed to score for the first time since the opening weekend of the season. Mourinho's side are three points behind Royal Antwerp in Group J after two games, level on points with Austrian side LASK, who beat Ludogorets 4-3. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #ANTTOT #UEL #TOTBRI #PL Learn more about your ad choices. 'Kane & Son's Magic Show'

Host Ricky Sacks was joined by Antony Costa, Chris Cowlin and Jamie Brown from the Daily Hotspur as the Last Word On Spurs returned to provide instant reaction to the 1-0 victory against Burnley at Turf Moor. Son Heung-min and Harry Kane linked up yet again for the only goal as Tottenham claimed a fortunate win away to Burnley. Kane headed Erik Lamela's pass into the path of Son, who headed home Spurs' first effort on target. That is the 29th time the pair have combined for a Premier League goal, while Son is now the division's leading scorer with eight. Burnley were unfortunate to lose with Ashley Barnes having a goal ruled out for offside and Kane clearing a James Tarkowski header off the line. Ashley Westwood and Johann Gudmundsson also forced Hugo Lloris into saves. Sean Dyche's Clarets remain in the relegation zone on one point, while Spurs move up from 11th to fifth. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #BURTOT Learn more about your ad choices. Behind The Scenes | All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur

Host Ricky Sacks was joined by Jamie Brown from the Daily Hotspur along with special guest to this week's Last Word On Spurs in three-time Bafta winner John Douglas and series producer Clare Cameron to find out the secrets behind All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur. After the success of All or Nothing: Manchester City, the second Premier League club to open the doors to Amazon Prime Video are Tottenham Hotspur. With a jaw-dropping new stadium, an established and popular manager and a Champions League final in 2018-19, fans and the club probably expected the series to showcase a club on the rise and possibly even some long-awaited silverware. But things didn’t quite turn out as expected. All or Nothing Tottenham Hotspur captures a team in crisis, the explosive arrival of new manager José Mourinho and a global pandemic shutting down the entire Premier League. Producers 72 Films have captured intimate scenes in the dressing room, on the training ground and inside the manager’s office, as they lift the lid on an extraordinary season and dig into the characters at one of the biggest football teams in the country. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #SPURS #AMAZON #AllOrNothingSpurs Learn more about your ad choices. Tottenham beat LASK 3-0 on Thursday night to get their Europa League campaign off to a winning start, with Lucas Moura and Son Heung-min both on the scoresheet. Moura dispatched the opening goal of the game after receiving the ball in the box from debutant Carlos Vinicius before Gareth Bale's squared pass was diverted into his own net by LASK defender Andres Andrade. 'Spurs Psychologically Collapse'

Host Ricky Sacks was joined by Lee McQueen and returning guest to the Last Word On Spurs in Antony Costa along with debutant to the show in Marcus Buckland, as the panel review Tottenham Hotspur's 3-3 draw against West Ham United. Spurs endured a horrific three-goal, second-half collapse as Manuel Lanzini's last-minute stunner secured West Ham a 3-3 draw on Gareth Bale's Premier League return. Spurs looked to have put the game beyond their visitors inside a quarter of an hour as they raced into a three-goal lead. Heung-Min Son scored a fine opener from Harry Kane's stunning pass with just 45 seconds played, before the two combined again for Kane's shot to nutmeg Angelo Ogbonna and wrong-foot Lukasz Fabianski (8). West Ham were pulled apart every time Tottenham attacked early on, and Kane doubled his tally on the quarter-hour from Sergio Reguilon's back-post cross as they showed the confidence of their stunning wins at Southampton and Manchester United in recent weeks. But after West Ham hung on until the break, they looked the better side throughout the second period as Spurs floundered, and despite Kane striking a post and Bale's introduction with 20 minutes to go, it was richly deserved when Fabian Balbuena's header from an Aaron Cresswell free-kick beat Hugo Lloris. Spurs had given up a 3-0 lead to win 3-2 at the London Stadium last season and it looked like a case of deja vu when Davinson Sanchez headed beyond his own goalkeeper from Vladimir Coufal's cross. This time, though, there would be no let-off. After clearing a 94th-minute free-kick seemingly to safety, a stunning drive from substitute Lanzini rattled in off the crossbar to earn West Ham a point and leave Tottenham stunned, and still searching for a first home win this season. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #LWOS Learn more about your ad choices. 'Dimitar Berbatov | Birthday Special'

The Last Word On Spurs celebrated it’s third birthday by welcoming Tottenham Hotspur legend Dimitar Berbatov to the show. The Bulgarian featured for Spurs between the period of 2006-2008, making 90 appearances and scoring 46 goals along with winning the League Cup with Spurs in 2008. A unique talent, Dimitar Berbatov simply oozed class. His languid style, flawless technique and temperament was never more illustrated than when he tucked home a penalty in the League Cup Final against Chelsea in 2008. Berba signed for us in 2006 and his impact was instant, firing home within seven minutes of his home debut. He returned to N17 most recently in March, 2019, playing his part in the second of two test events at our new stadium as our Legends took on Inter Forever, with the Bulgarian naturally finding the target with a fine looping header late in the second half. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #LWOS #BERBATOV Learn more about your ad choices. 'Lads, It's Tottenham'

Host Ricky Sacks was joined by Lee McQueen and returning guests to the Last Word On Spurs in Richard Cracknell and Talia Coren as the Last Word On Spurs returned to review Tottenham Hotspur's historical 6-1 win against Manchester United. Son Heung-min and Harry Kane scored twice, with Tanguy Ndombele and Serge Aurier also on target as 10-man United suffered a defeat on a par with their 6-1 thrashing at home by Manchester City in 2011. It meant it was not only the heaviest defeat since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took temporary charge in December 2018, but also the largest United have suffered since Ed Woodward took over as executive vice-chairman in 2013. Tottenham moved up to fifth after emerging from a packed schedule of five games in 11 days in three competitions with a creditable four wins and a draw - their last two games have had five-goal winning margins. It is also Tottenham's biggest win at Old Trafford and matches their record home win over United, 6-1 in September 1932. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #LWOS #MUNTOT Learn more about your ad choices. 'Winning The Lot'

Host Ricky Sacks was joined by Lee McQueen, Jamie from the Daily Hotspur and Chris Cowlin as the Last Word On Spurs provided instant reaction to Tottenham Hotspur beating Macabbi Haifa 7-2 to advance to the Europa League group-stages. Harry Kane scored a hat-trick and Dele Alli also found the target to help Tottenham reach the group stage of the Europa League courtesy of a hugely entertaining victory over Israeli side Maccabi Haifa. With this their seventh game in 19 gruelling days at the start of the season, you would have forgiven Spurs for easing into the encounter. Instead, a frantic first half yielded five goals, four of which went to the home side. Harry Kane slotted in the opener from close range before former QPR forward Tjaronn Chery curled in a superb equaliser for the visitors. This only served to provoke further attacking brilliance from the home side, who restored their lead when Lucas Moura flicked the ball in off his back from a corner, and then claimed total control courtesy of two Giovani lo Celso finishes, assisted by the lively Steven Bergwijn and crafty Kane. The Argentine made way to allow Alli to play the second half, which was somewhat overshadowed by two penalties awarded via controversial handballs. Spurs Matt Doherty and Maccabi's Ernest Mabouka both had their arms by their side to block crosses but each were penalised, leading to Nikita Rukavytsya narrowing the three-goal margin before Kane restored it. The England captain then completed a superb night with a neat chipped finish following a Bergwijn pass, before Alli won a penalty with sharp turn to draw a foul that he himself converted. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #LWOS Learn more about your ad choices. 'The Winning Mentality'

Host Ricky Sacks was joined by Lee McQueen, Jamie from Daily Hotspur, Chris Cowlin and John from Lilywhite Rose as the Last Word On Spurs returned to provide instant reaction to Tottenham Hotspur beating Chelsea on penalties to advance to the last eight of the Carabao Cup. A total of nine penalties had been converted before Mount stepped up to take the 10th, but the England midfielder's effort clipped the post and went wide. Chelsea had dominated the first half and new signing Timo Werner netted his first goal for the club with a clinical finish into the bottom corner. Spurs responded well after the break and debutant Sergio Reguilon's side-footed effort from inside the area was pushed over the crossbar by Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, who was also making his first appearance for his new club. Jose Mourinho's side got their rewards seven minutes from time when Spaniard Reguilon's cross sailed through to the back post for Erik Lamela to coolly convert from six yards. With no extra time played, the match went straight to penalties and Mount was the only player to miss. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #EFLCUP #TOTCHE Learn more about your ad choices. 'Game Gone Mad'

Host Ricky Sacks was joined by Lee McQueen and returning guests to Last Word On Spurs in Richard Whitehead MBE and Abbi Summers as we reviewed Tottenham Hotspur's 1-1 draw against Newcastle United in the Premier League. Newcastle rescued an injury-time point against Tottenham Hotspur from the penalty spot entirely against the run of play after another controversial handball decision. Spurs could have been 5-0 up if they had taken their chances by the time Andy Carroll headed a cross against Eric Dier's arm from close range. The decision was made after video assistant referee consultation. Callum Wilson stepped up to score the penalty with practically the last kick - and Spurs boss Jose Mourinho walked down the tunnel in disgust. Lucas Moura had put Spurs ahead at the back post from a low cross by Harry Kane, the England striker's fifth assist in two league games. Spurs would have been out of sight had it not been for Magpies keeper Karl Darlow, who made 11 saves - including two excellent ones to deny Kane. Son Heung-min, who scored four goals in last weekend's 5-2 win over Southampton, hit the woodwork twice but was replaced at half-time. Newcastle were cautious and created very few chances as they failed to have a shot on target until the late, late drama. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURSWOMEN #LWOS Learn more about your ad choices. #BaleIsBack

The whole of the Last Word On Spurs panel returned for a very special show as Tottenham Hotspur signed Gareth Bale, seven years after his departure and announced the signing of team-mate Sergio Reguilón from Real Madrid. Bale originally joined Tottenham as a 17-year-old from Southampton in 2007 for an initial payment of £5m. Bale has also won two La Liga titles, one Copa del Rey, three Uefa Super Cups and three Club World Cups with Real. He remains the most expensive British player in history, as well as the top-scoring British player in La Liga - with 80 goals and 40 assists in 171 league appearances, averaging a goal or assist every 104 minutes. Tottenham have signed Spain defender Sergio Reguilon from Real Madrid on a five-year contract. The 23-year-old came through the youth set-up at Real and made his first-team debut in October 2018. He was on loan at Sevilla last season and helped them win the Europa League as well as finish fourth in La Liga. 'Ndombele's Moment'

Host Ricky Sacks was joined by Lee McQueen, Jamie form Daily Hotspur and John from Lilywhite Rose as the panel reviewed the game against Lokomotiv Plovdiv and previewed Southampton to come. Tottenham might hope Gareth Bale had better things to do than watch this. They managed to extricate themselves from trouble against a limited Lokomotiv Plovdiv but only after the Bulgarian side had imploded when the finishing line was in sight. When Martin Minchev scored with 18 minutes to play Spurs were facing humiliation and a season away from the European stage. Two sendings off, a Harry Kane penalty and a Tanguy Ndombele winner later, the situation had been salvaged and Bale’s imminent return could keep its leading role in the headlines. In the end Spurs were fortunate not to join Iskra Danilovgrad, Spartak Trnava and OFK Belgrade among Lokomotiv’s scalps from the past two decades. They controlled most of the game but only carved open their opponents on two or three occasions before going for broke in the latter stages.Lokomotiv were down to nine men by the time Ndombele awkwardly prodded in a lay-off from his fellow substitute Lucas Moura and they had no resources to mount a response. The identity of the scorer did, at least, allow José Mourinho to eke a genuine note of optimism from the evening. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #LOKTOT Learn more about your ad choices.
