When trying to understand how to pray for America, many Christians look to 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” It’s like “If we Americans pray and repent, all will be well.” Perhaps God may choose to use much tougher measures to create a wake-up call to America, and we must be willing to pray for that, as well.
