As you may know, we have been following the progress of Niles Graham in Sacramento, CA, from the moment he signed up for The Journey, checking in with him a few times along the way. Hear Niles, the Influencer, who has a new perspective on Abiding in Christ and making disciples and is so excited about the next chapter of his life. At the recent Women’s Leadership Summit, we had some great Equipping Seminars with panels of leaders from around the country. This session included panelists: Eric Pate(Global Board Member), Rocky Fleming (Founder), Roberta Hoppe (Memphis) and Nicole Thompson (Memphis). We talked about how The Journey process, which was originally written for men, translates into a women’s group.

At the recent Women’s Leadership Summit, we had some great Equipping Seminars with panels of leaders from around the country. This session included panelists: Eric Pate(Global Board Member), Elizabeth Daoust (Dallas-Fort Worth), Roberta Hoppe (Memphis) and Kyle Neely (Global Board Member). We talked about our Leadership model, applied to Journey Guides as well as Regional Leaders. Great discussion and worth the listen, for Men and Women alike.

Bryan interviews our founder Rocky Fleming who talks about his recent heart attack and double by-pass surgery. He talks about this experience and lessons learned, and how it has served to usher in a new excitement for the future.

The session was all about the uniqueness of The Journey and what it means to Abide in Christ. This was moderated by Bryan Craig and included questions from the audience. A big reason we do the Leadership summits is to continue to impart the DNA we have been entrusted with as a ministry. On Saturday morning of The Summit, Rocky and Bryan talked about the DNA from the stage in a podcast interview style. There is a certain DNA to our Leadership, to The Journey process and to our Expansion. We can’t emphasize this enough.

Bryan interviews Franko Besinaiz, one of the key leaders in Bakersfield, CA about his story of being abandoned as a young boy and living on the streets, leading up to a near-death experience at 19 years of age. God spared him and pursued him, in and out of prison, until he finally surrendered and became a new creation. Then, hear how God guided him to The Journey and a newfound purpose. With the upcoming Women’s Leadership Summit fast-approaching and the ministry so rapidly growing, we must continue to emphasize the DNA that drives this ministry. This week, we interview Kirk Sterling, a Journey brother out of Memphis, TN who lost his wife, Sandra, to COVID 5 months ago. Although it is still very raw and painful, Kirk was gracious to share his story because he believes going through The Journey and learning to Abide prepared him to face this extreme trial. Listen and be touched at how much our Lord truly does Know and Care, in the words of a desperate man whom the Lord has been carrying.

Bryan and Rocky discuss God’s call for us to make disciples of all nations and how we have taken The Journey to multiple countries and languages. We talk about lessons learned and truths revealed which have prepared us for the international opportunities we see emerging today. Hear about the history of the women's movement in Influencers and the motivation which led to this conference. We have been tracking the progress of Journey Participant, Niles Graham, from Sacramento, CA. We interviewed him right as he started The Journey, and then, right after his first Prayer Retreat. His group just completed their Spiritual Gifts retreat, and we interviewed him again. Niles talks about the things he’s learned about The Holy Spirit, about Pruning and about His Spiritual gifts. It is so encouraging to hear Niles’ depth of wisdom and insight. The Lord is definitely doing a mighty work in his life. Listen and be encouraged.

Rocky and Bryan talk about how Faith is such an important part of Christmas. They recount their faith perspectives growing up and how the world needs the Faith of Christmas more than ever right now.

Bryan interviews Zyla Brown, one of our women Influencers in Northwest Arkansas. Zyla recounts her experience with church after church during her early years, as her heart was searching for the truth. Something always seemed to be missing for her until a friend invited her to church where they were starting a Journey group. She wasn’t even a member of the church but they welcomed her with open arms, and she found what she’d been looking for her whole life, an intimate relationship with Christ. Bryan interviews Hassan Kibirango and Moses Ndahiro, two sharp young Influencers who live in Rwanda, Africa. They are currently going through a Virtual Journey Group and are catching a vision for discipleship for their country. This is more evidence that God is inviting us to a bigger territory than we ever thought possible. “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.” Ephesians 3:20 Listen and be inspired and also PRAY about how you can help take Influencers to the nations.

On the closing night of our Leadership Summit, Nate Sweeney gave a talk on body, soul and spirit health that was a blessing and challenge for our leaders. Bryan Craig shares the talk he gave at the Leadership Summit as he recounted God's fingerprints on this ministry over the past 20 years. You may have caught our interview with Niles Graham 3 months ago when he was just starting his Journey Group. We wanted to track the progress of a Journey participant. Niles is from Sacramento and in our last interview, he talked about his tough background and mixed feelings on faith. We caught up with Niles at the Leadership Summit and interviewed him, just after completing his 1st Extended Prayer Session in The Journey. The participants he has recruited have had marginal commitment, transformation and reproduction, but once He started turning the recruiting over to God, He has seen amazing results. This week they talk about the Secret of Abiding in Christ: The kingdom’s greatest secret for living a faithful, abundant Christian life is found in Abiding in Christ. There will be found no clearer or more important instruction for right living and fruitful service than this guidance Jesus gave to His disciples in the past, and He gives to us now. When we live in an abiding union with Christ, we will have a life that will live with purpose, will finish its race strong, and will gain the crown of life promised to us.

In the physical world, we know light dispels darkness, as evidenced by a light being turned on in a dark room. In the spiritual realm the same principle applies, as God’s light will expose the darkness of evil. There will come a time in the life of God’s Champion, when he or she will face an evil that will be conquered only one way. We must rely on God’s defense, and His Divine Illumination to expose the deeds of darkness. Therefore, stand firm, and patiently trust the King of Kings to eventually bring His light into the situation.

We are “More than conquerors through Christ.” There will come a time in the life of a true Believer that we must face our lonely valleys with only the fact of God’s sovereignty and faithfulness to comfort, encourage and protect us. It is at this place that we must abandon our rights to our self and to the logical and perceived reality of our situation, and then trust God without reservation. When we face those valleys that challenge us using only one plan—God’s Plan, which is hope in God’s step-by-step involvement with us, we come to see those lonely valleys are places of great faith building, and we grow closer to our King as a result. It is in these valleys Courage is forged, and it is there that this man becomes more than a conqueror over trouble, hardship, persecution, famine, nakedness, danger or sword.
