Asheville is a smaller city in North Carolina where I had the pleasure of experiencing one of my favorite ghost tours. This happened many years ago and the violence and the residue of that event seems to have left an energy that still traverses the same area where the crimes took place to this day. Joint Base McGuire–Dix–Lakehurst in Trenton, New Jersey is a very unique military base in that it is the only tri-service base in the United States Department of Defense. All six armed forces branches have units stationed there. The name is derived from the United States Air Force's McGuire Air Force Base, the United States Army's Fort Dix and the United States Navy's Naval Air Engineering Station Lakehurst. This location was the scene of the horrific crash of the Hindenburg in the 1930s. Several buildings on the base are said to be haunted. Phantasmal Crime 30 - 1909 Savannah Axe Murders

bonus

A man was on a simple afternoon stroll on December 9, 1909 in his Savannah, Georgia neighborhood when he heard moaning coming from 401 W. Perry Street. What he found inside the small wooden house would horrify the city. One woman lay dying and two more were already dead. An axe had been used and the murders were brutal. As to who committed the crime, that remains a mystery, although the husband of one of the women was convicted and served some time in prison before being pardoned. Ep 507Ep. 507 - Mount Washington Hotel

Omni Hotels & Resorts own a long list of haunted hotels and they embrace that reputation. One of their hotels is the Mount Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire. This is a beautiful location surrounded by the White Mountain National Forest, so it is no wonder that the rich would make this one of their playgrounds. Some of the grandest hotels ever built in America's history, were built here. Perhaps it is that link to the Gilded Age that has locked in spectres to this establishment. Join us as we share the history and hauntings of the Mount Washington Hotel. The Moment in Oddity features The Hambone Award and This Month in History features the first World Series radio broadcast.
