He is Aleut/Unangan, originally from the Shumagin Islands community of Sand Point, Alaska. We shouldn't have to copy other's successes because we are struggling with our own—when we tap into our own authenticity we shine! Sometimes the most jaw-dropping gardens are the wildest and least conventional... We shouldn't be burning out on churning out new content again and again…we can compost and rework our creative content to form a consistent message that nourishes our success as herbal educators and practitioners…. We shouldn't have to beg people to be in our programs – our biggest fans will show up and stick with us (just like those friends that come over and absolutely love galavanting around your garden with you smelling and tasting and seeing all the beautiful things). Trying to promote your herbal services may be an overwhelming task - the outcome of which often feels out of our control. But it doesn't have to be. Today's episode is Howie Brounstein's keynote from the 2019 Breitenbush Herbal Conference. We were lucky enough to find out a former student of Howie's was in the audience and they recorded it from their phone. Since it was recorded on a phone, the audio is a wee bit wonky.
