Ep 110UVALDE: How to Help and Learn More about Reducing Gun Violence
We continue to share information about the Ulvade Community and as importantly what each of us can do to support it. Right now, the familias in Ulvade are leaning on each other, and we need to help them directly by supporting their local organizations. At the State and Federal Level, call your representative as well as Texas representatives and let them know you demand they change the gun laws in order to protect our children. Banning assault rifles and lifting the age requirements are two common sense restrictions we can demand. A constitutional right to own guns does not mean we have the right to murder innocent children. Eighteen year olds should NOT have the right to buy assault rifles, period. The Children and Familias of Ulvade needs us right now--take action!!HOW TO HELP ULVADE FAMILIESRobb Elementary Memorial FundFirst State Bank (FSB) of Uvalde has created a fund for the families of Robb Elementary. Ep 109Gun Violence is a Public Health Crisis For Which We Are All Responsible
WE are all responsible: how do WE have the constitutional right to own a gun and not allow the murders of innocent children? How do WE allow politicians who represent us to get away from legislating safety measures so that WE do not allow the murders of innocent children? How do WE allow our children who are exhibiting self-destructive behavior to keep on destroying themselves without helping them?. How do WE allow guns to be in the hands of children...assault rifles at that. WE are all responsible and WE need to take action--this is the only way to save our communities and save our children. Do not vote for those who are not protecting us from gun violence by legislating gun safety measures that WE know work. Demand gun safety measures! WE have the power to change this epidemic of preventable violence. For those families that have lost their loved ones, their children, WE owe them, WE owe them.

Many of us are getting sick with flu like symptoms. The symptoms of Omicron that makes it different it from the flu are: **The loss of smell and taste, which you will not find with the flu. **High fever and sometimes severe headaches, which is being reporting by those infected with Omicron. If you do have those symptoms, it’s much more concerning that you may have gotten COVID than the flu. Because Covid testing is now taking more days to get your results, it’s important to take better care of yourself for your family and your community If you can’t find n95 or kn95 mask wear two masks even if you are vaccinated. Wear a disposable mask and a cloth mask. This virus is staying longer in the air and can get through a single cloth mask. It’s also really important get your Covid 19 vaccines. The data shows that those without vaccines are the vast majority in our hospitals. Our Elders are also at high risk for hospitalizations, so wear your masks for the elders around us. If you are NOT vaccinated, then double mask to protect yourself and others around you. Don’t be afraid to tell people you are sick that’s the responsible thing to do, so they can take extra care of themselves Help Stop the spread of Omicron!
