National Health Center Week - Safety Net Clinic Coalition of Santa Cruz County Today on HealthCare UnTold, our co-host, Jasmine Najera facilitated a roundtable discussion with members of the Safety Net Clinic Coalition (SNCC), which brings together leaders to improve health outcomes for Santa Cruz County residents who receive care through publicly funded programs. Each year, SNCC leaders join thousands of communities across the nation to recognize and celebrate the innovative work of health centers during National Health Center Week, with the goal of raising awareness about the mission and accomplishments of healthcare clinics. This year, NHCW is August 7- August 13 and the them is “Community Health Centers: The Chemistry for Strong Communities,” reminds us of the key elements that help shape a healthy and equitable environment that includes our most vulnerable communities.
