Our big focus will be on our community—the Church—which is both a living organism and an organization with structure. As Eugene Peterson says, "Whether we like it or not, the moment we confess Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, that is, from the time we become a Christian, we are at the same time a member of the Christian Church." It behooves the follower to understand the nature and purpose of the Church.

This week we will explore Peter’s teaching to live differently, as exiles, in the times in which we live. ​

Are you full of the joy of your salvation? Joy is to be a characteristic of the follower of Jesus. In this second "Different" message from 1 Peter we will look deeply into what joy is and how to experience it as a follower of Jesus.

In this first message in our "Different" series from 1 Peter we will see that Peter establishes some identifying characteristics of the follower of Jesus and then identifies what it means to live as a new creation in Jesus. This is very relevant teaching as we live in a time that is confused and conflicted and we must be established in who we are in Christ.

This week we will conclude our series in Ruth as we see how God can bring blessing and redemption out of brokenness.

This week we will look at Ruth 4:1-12 as we see how God used Boaz, a Kinsman-Redeemer, to restore the lives of Ruth and Naomi. Boaz demonstrates Christlikeness as he shows how we can become God's instruments of grace to others. Often God's grace comes in the form of a person and we who love Jesus will be used by God to grace the lives of others as we follow His ways and use the gifts and resources He has given us to benefit others. This is what it means to be "grace givers". ​

Ruth, a Moabite woman, once a foreigner to God's people Israel, grows in grace quickly and demonstrates a reliance on God's ways. She has not only embraced God, she is willing to live her life according to His ways, relying on Him for divine intervention.

We are on the second week in our Ruth series and in this message, from Ruth chapter 2, we see that Ruth begins to encounter the blessings of a kinsman redeemer. She goes out to glean after the harvesters ending up in Boaz's field, who is a kinsman redeemer. This message looks at what this means and how it points to what believers experience in Jesus who is our kinsman redeemer.

This message begins a 5-week series from the book of Ruth. In this series we will see how God takes a ruined life and redeems it. The one who is redeemed is to live in reliance on God, experiencing restoration and a renewed identity. In this first message we will see that we may make plans but ultimately God orders our steps. Sometimes what we view as problems are the means that God uses to touch our lives deeply.

Ryan Koltiska When you see injustice, what is your response? When your faith is trampled on, what do you do? When God gives you the opportunity to take part in His work, do you have a willing heart? In the book of Judges, Deborah praises those who don’t sit on the sidelines, but willingly offer themselves to fight for the Lord.

Pastor Aaron Cloud This week we will look at Moses example of overcoming obstacles in his continued faithfulness to God’s call.

Through the life of King Josiah in 2 Chronicles 34, we will take a look at how powerful repentance can be in the life of a believer. Whether you've followed Jesus all your life or are just seeing what He’s about, repentance is a key part of the Christian life. Because of that, we’ll be looking at what it means to turn to the Lord and change for His glory.

God calls us to a life of courageous faith in relationship with Him, but our fears often prevent us from living it out. This week we will explore Moses' example of surrendering fully into God’s plan for us as we learn what we need to resist and what we need to remember in order to live out a life of courageous faith.

We are starting our Timeless series looking at stories from the Old Testament. This week we look at Elijah's response to a situation that didn't meet his expectations. When things go wrong how do we respond and trust God even when it feels as though nothing is going right.

In this last message in our series, "God's Design for a WELL-LIVED Life" we will look into Jesus' idea of church. Jesus intends for His followers to understand they are part of His church; it is part of our identity and therefore we need to understand what the Church is all about.

In this message we will see that excitement about Jesus becomes a propelling force in the life of the Christ-follower. We've seen over the last couple of weeks that God's people are sent to sow. Excitement—a feeling of great enthusiasm and eagerness—often propels this sharing to take place naturally. Excitement in Jesus emboldens and motivates the follower.

We are in the midst of our series "God's Design for a Well-Lived Life." In this message we will discover that part of our new identity in Jesus is living and interacting with others in a way that makes Jesus known. That can be intimidating so this message will address that intimidation. The main text will be from "The Parable of the Sower" focusing on what it means to sow and how people respond. You, as a Christ-follower, have been sent to sow.

This week we will look at how God’s design for a well-lived life means we are called to live sent on mission with gospel urgency.

Our memories are interesting. Sometimes we remember the most unusual pieces of information or lyrics to a song from our childhood, while at the same time we forget very important things. God’s people, the Israelites, had this same problem: they kept forgetting God. But God shows us how important it is to remember Him and what He has done.

In this second message of our series, God's Design for a WELL-LIVED Life we will see that we are spiritually helpless. The amazing thing is that God uses the smallest acts on our part and multiplies them for His kingdom purposes. He frequently turns our little into a lot. A well-lived life is not about what you have but your willingness to use whatever you have, even small acts, to serve God.

This Sunday, we will kick off our new series as we explore how Jesus’ teaching and a relationship with Him allows us to live life well.

This is the last message in our 1 John series. John closes out his epistle with the big thought that the most important pursuit for the follower of Jesus is to love God and obey His commands. This equips the follower to love others most effectively. On this Mother's Day, the best gift a mom or dad can give to their spouse or kids is to love God and follow His ways. Doing this will equip them to love their family as they should.

This week we will look at the Biblical truth that God’s love for us, demonstrated in the life of Jesus, becomes the source and inspiration of our love for others.

In this message we get back to our 1 John series and will see that God has given us a "dynamic duo"—obedience and the Person of the Holy Spirit—so that we can experience life changing transformation.

Easter provides a wonderful opportunity to celebrate God's plan of redemption through Jesus. May the Lord anoint you as you celebrate this wonderful tradition of remembering the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. ​

In this message we'll look at the Old Testament account of the death of Uzziah paired with the New Testament account of the Triumphal entry of Jesus as models of how to handle big life changes. This is a timely message considering what the last couple of years have been like.

In this week's passage from 1 John, the author breaks down the difficult question of “what is love?” In our present day, love can feel confusing and complicated, but John wants to bring clarity to that. First, he’ll showing us what love is not. Then, what love actually is, before finishing with how we can love people like Jesus would.

This week we will explore what it looks like to actively live out our identity as God’s beloved children.

In our 1John series, John now takes us to the perspective that, if you've put your faith in Jesus, you will live your life differently, following Him. The encouraging news is that there are some huge motivating factors that make a life change in Jesus something that can truly be experienced. In this message, we will dive deeply into these motivating factors.

In this message from 1 John 2, we will see that John reveals some essential facts we must know about our faith, including how to identify antichrists and how not to be led astray by them.

Part of your identity in Christ is knowing where you belong. In this message, from 1 John 2:15-17, John makes it very clear that, as followers of Jesus, our place is not in the World. In this message, we will clarify what is meant by the World and why we cannot love both the World and God.

This week we will explore what it looks like to live and walk obediently with Jesus, as we tangibly live our faith.

This Sunday, in our second message from 1 John, we will look at God's original intention for humanity and how sin caused us, as God's creation, to be less than we were designed for. This could be summarized as "Glory Lost". Jesus came to address the fallen condition of humanity; He offers salvation and so much more. In Jesus, we have gained grace and this is the means by which we will experience an ever-increasing glory. We can become the people God originally intended. This message is foundational to understanding the identity we have in Jesus. ​

Every single one of us spends our days putting our time, our energy, and our money and resources into the things we think we need and want. And many of us have much more than we need or want. But have you ever stopped and asked yourself if what you’re seeking after is what you really need?

In this 4th message of our Revelation series, we come to the church in Sardis. Jesus has some sobering words for this church that was looking good from the outside. Jesus is not fooled by image. He desires followers who are faithful to remember Him and live for Him. The words to the church in Sardis are a timeless reminder to the people of God that the Lord wants our hearts.

This week we will explore how the Church can remain rooted in the truth and hope of Jesus through both good and challenging seasons.

In this message we will examine the churches of Pergamum and Thyatira. Both of these churches were being divided by deceitful teaching and a lack of discernment. God's people must be careful about who they listen to and never become tolerant of the intolerable.

In this first message of our “Revelation: The Seven Churches” series, we open with Jesus addressing the church at Ephesus. Throughout the series we will see Jesus addressing what the churches are doing well, what needs to change, and how they can move forward. In this first letter to Ephesus we come to the big idea of maintaining our first love. It is a great way to start the series and the new year.

The theme for this Advent season has been "Rejoice" and this final message before Christmas is focused entirely on this theme. The follower of Jesus should rejoice because, through faith in Jesus, sin's yoke is shattered. Jesus is mighty to save!

This week we will explore what the prophet Isaiah has to say about living rooted in Joy through all seasons of life.

On this second Sunday in Advent we will dive deep into what it means that Jesus is a brilliant light that has dawned on the land of deep darkness. We will use the multiple models of physical light as the framework to look at the multiple meanings of the light of Christ.

In this last message of our Romans series, "Practical Christianity", we are brought to the big thought that we serve a God of hope. We are to have a prevailing hope in Jesus and His transformative work that He is willing to do in our lives as we submit to Him. This message of hope is a powerful way to end this series and to launch us into the Advent season.

In our series from Romans 13-15 Paul has been bringing us to the big thought of this message: We are to be of one mind and voice in Jesus. In other words, we are to have a spirit of unity as the people of God. This does not mean uniformity—Paul has made it known that there will be differing convictions on disputable matters—but rather that unity is experienced as together we follow hard after Jesus.

In Romans 15 we will look at Paul’s teaching and encouragement that those who are strong in the faith are to lead the way in cultivating unity in the body of Christ.

This week we will look at how to move beyond disputable matters as we seek to be faithful to the redemptive mission and purpose that Jesus calls His church to.

​In Romans 14 Paul addresses the topic of disputable matters. This is our third week of examining what God, through Paul, says regarding disputable matters. In this message's text, Romans 14:13-18, we are brought to a climactic conclusion: We are not to be a stumbling block or an obstacle to others. We are to be sensitive to them and how we are affecting their faith, not letting disputable matters destroy relationships.

In this message we will continue to look into the topic of disputable matters, realizing this is much bigger than just the case of eating meat or not eating meat. Oftentimes there are many alternatives to a particular disputable matter and the Lord calls us to be convinced of our own course of action but considerate of others who follow a different course.

This is the first of several messages from Romans 14 addressing the topic of how to get along with others. In this week's message we will deal specifically with disputable matters. It is important for the follower of Jesus to focus on what matters and to refrain from making secondary issues too important.
