LITTER BITS: The LEGO Bet
EWill Jay take Rodney up on his friendly bet? The Film School Janitors aren't made of money so you never know!

Netflix's Day Shift Review
EWhat's worse than facing a vampire at night? Facing them during the day...? (The pay isn't as good in the daytime, you see.) And that's the premise of Netflix's latest offering, DAY SHIFT. Jamie Foxx needs to save his house, his family, and his daughter's teeth (she's not a vampire - she just needs braces), and to do so, he rejoins a vampire hunting union to make some money. The Film School Janitors get it. These film school students are blood suckers as well.

Netflix's The Gray Man Review
EAfter a couple bouts with COVID, the Film School Janitors are back, but are they excited about it? First up is the (already forgotten/soon-to-be) Netflix classic: THE GRAY MAN. Ryan Gosling plays a guy that runs around and fights a lot of people and protects a kid and tries not to get killed. If you're familiar with Netflix's programming, you get the gist!

NCU 32: Deadfall (1993) Review
EThe Film School Janitors are back in school, and they're going to Nic Cage University! Their goal is to watch and review every film Nicolas Cage has ever made... and will ever make! This week's assignment: DEADFALL In an epic gesture of grand nepotism, Nic Cage takes a scene-chewing role in his brother's crack at a Tarantino-esque film (think more RESERVOIR DOGS than PULP FICTION, which wasn't out yet). Don't know if there was something in the air for all these neo-noir films of the 90's, or not, but this one is watchable mostly because of Nic's "choices" and that's what the Janitors are back in school for.

RRR (2022) Review
EThe Film School Janitors go international again! (It should probably happen more often...) RRR is a Pan-Indian film about two of its early revolutionaries that fought for freedom from Britain. There's action, there's adventure, there's romance, there's intrigue, there's dancing. Oh, there's one more thing: fighting. Lots of superhuman level, superhero style, inventive fighting. What did the Janitors think? listen and find out!

FOUND BEHIND THE VENDING MACHINE: Gone in 60 Seconds (1974) Review
EAfter watching the remake for class at NCU, the Film School Janitors decided to check out the original GONE IN 60 SECONDS from 1974. How similar were they? How different? Does Eleanor get top billing? Listen to find out!

LITTER BITS: San Diego Comic Con 2022 Reveals
EEven though some reveals creeped into their other reviews, here's the Film School Janitors discussing all the ones that matter to them!

NCU 31: Gone in 60 Seconds (2000) Review
EFULL LENGTH VERSION! The Film School Janitors are back in school, and they're going to Nic Cage University! Their goal is to watch and review every film Nicolas Cage has ever made... and will ever make! This week's assignment: GONE IN 60 SECONDS The Janitors wrestle with trying to review this film in full-length form versus their sixty second review. Can they do it? Listen and find out! (Or just look at the length of this podcast, I guess...)

AN EPISODE IN THE BOWL: Disney+'s Ms. Marvel (Episode 6) Review
E(We regret to inform you that our host that types these up has passed out after watching the season one finale of MS. MARVEL. You may have read elsewhere what happened in the episode, or you might glance at this podcast's tags, but as the replacement typist, I will not. Oh, I almost forgot. This is the Film School Janitors' review of the finale for MS. MARVEL.)

Thor: Love and Thunder Review
EHow many things can (kinda) rhyme in this movie? Thor... Gorr... Korg... Necrosword... ...4 (as in official film number in Thor series - oh!)... ...Thor... The Film School Janitors watched THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER, and they may not have loved everything about it, they definitely didn't thunder anything. Check it out!

NCU #30: Fire Birds (1990) Review
EThe Film School Janitors are back in school, and they're going to Nic Cage University! Their goal is to watch and review every film Nicolas Cage has ever made... and will ever make! This week's assignment: FIRE BIRDS What do you have a need for? A need for... speedy helicopters? In this late game TOP GUN ripoff, Nic Cage plays the Maverick character who is even more batshit crazy than Tom Cruise is in real-life. Remember when Cruise did that couch-jumping thing on Oprah? That's Cage in this film. Listen to find out what else the Film School Janitors thought about this early NCU film!

Netflix's Stranger Things (Season 4, Part II) Review
EWell there goes another season of the flash-in-a-pan, pop culture absent, streaming service show called... what was it again? Oh yeah - STRANGER THINGS! The Film School Janitors get into the weeds (not living hive-mind vines) and discuss the back half of season four, and what might happen in season five. Take a listen! Leave a listen! (Wait, that's what you do with pennies...)

AN EPISODE IN THE BOWL: Disney+'s Ms. Marvel (Episodes 4 and 5) Review
EThese are the last two episodes of MS. MARVEL before the season (series?) finale! The show has moved at a very brisk pace, and does it help or hurt the world-building and character introducing so far? The Film School Janitors discuss it all, so listen to find out more!

AN EPISODE IN THE BOWL: Amazon Prime's The Boys (Season 3, Episodes 7 and 8) Review
EThe last two episodes of season three have aired, and did THE BOYS stick its landing? Or did it shove a fist through somebody's chest (that happens a lot on this show)? The Film School Janitors break down the penultimate (love that word) episode and the finale, and they also simply break down. Listen and enjoy!

AN EPISODE IN THE BOWL: Disney+'s Ms. Marvel (Episode 3) Review
EWell that was quick! Our lovely MS. MARVEL went from possibly having answers about her powers, including some mentors, to having some enemies, and it all happens at her brother's wedding! What do the Film School Janitors think about the new MCU hero so far? Listen to find out!

AN EPISODE IN THE BOWL: Disney+'s Obi-Wan Kenobi (Episode 6) Review
EThis is it! The series (season?) finale of OBI-WAN KENOBI! Did it justify its own existence (which is what every piece of art must do, of course)? Listen to hear what the Film School Janitors think about the (not) final battle between Obi-Wan and "Darth"! Plus, what do you think about the (over) use of parentheses in these write-ups? BONUS: Did Yoda move to Dagobah to avoid paying Yaddle child support for Grogu? The Janitors discuss what might have happened.

AN EPISODE IN THE BOWL: Amazon Prime's The Boys (Season 3, Episode 6) Review
EThis is the episode everyone was waiting for! (Of THE BOYS, but maybe also of the Film School Janitors...) The Janitors discuss the events of "Herogasm" and whether it lived up to the infamous hype. Enjoy!

NCU #29: Adaptation (2003) Review
EThe Film School Janitors are back in school, and they're going to Nic Cage University! Their goal is to watch and review every film Nicolas Cage has ever made... and will ever make! This week's assignment: ADAPTATION What's better than one Nic Cage in a movie? Two Nic Cages in a movie! This film follows the struggle of screenwriter Charlie Kaufman trying to adapt an unadaptable book into in a film script. Meanwhile, his ne'er-do-well brother, Donald, takes an idea with an insane premise and sees the script through to completion. Is the movie more fun than it may sound here? Listen to find out what the Film School Janitors think!

AN EPISODE IN THE BOWL: Disney+'s Ms. Marvel (Episodes 1 & 2) Review
EThere was some internal debate about whether the Film School Janitors should review MS. MARVEL or not, but ultimately, it's still a Marvel show! Do they go off the rails discussing a superhero show primarily aimed at the younger generation of fans? Of course!

AN EPISODE IN THE BOWL: Disney+'s Obi-Wan Kenobi (Episode 5) Review
EIt's the penultimate episode of the only (first?) season of OBI-WAN KENOBI and what do the Film School Janitors think about it, the season altogether, and what will happen in the last episode? (SPOILER: They think Luke will grow up thinking Old Ben Kenobi is some desert hermit!)

AN EPISODE IN THE BOWL: Amazon Prime's The Boys (Season 3, Episode 5) Review
EThe Film School Janitors watched the fifth episode of THE BOYS, in which a real-life celebrity makes a fool of himself on a webcam and a musical dance number takes place in a hospital. Is it the craziest episode? Not by a long shot. But it's still THE BOYS.

NCU #28: The Sorcerer's Apprentice (2010) Review
EThe Film School Janitors are back in school, and they're going to Nic Cage University! Their goal is to watch and review every film Nicolas Cage has ever made... and will ever make! This week's assignment: THE SORCERER'S APPRENTICE Based upon the classic Mickey Mouse short where he floods a room and dances with brooms, this has nothing to do with that! Well, other than the name of the film, the fact that it's a Disney project, and a couple homages to the cartoon. But the true question isn't - is this any good? The question is - is this a good Nicolas Cage movie? The Film School Janitors have your answer - take a listen!

FOUND BEHIND THE VENDING MACHINE: The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920) Review
ESo this review might seemingly be coming from out of nowhere, but actually, it was suggested by the Film School Janitors' studies at NCU - Nic Cage University, While watching THE UNBEARABLE WEIGHT OF MASSIVE TALENT, the main characters (including Nicolas Cage's "Nick Cage")discuss their favorite films. They name two: PADDINGTON 2 and THE CABINET OF DR. CALIGARI. This is the Janitors review of the 100 year old, black & white, silent film classic.

FOUND BEHIND THE VENDING MACHINE: Paddington 2 (2018) Review
ESo this review might seemingly be coming from out of nowhere, but actually, it was suggested by the Film School Janitors' studies at NCU - Nic Cage University, While watching THE UNBEARABLE WEIGHT OF MASSIVE TALENT, emphasis on "bear," the main characters (including Nicolas Cage's "Nick Cage")discuss their favorite films. They name two: PADDINGTON 2 and THE CABINET OF DR. CALIGARI. This is the Janitors review of the sequel about a bear that loves marmalade sandwiches.

AN EPISODE IN THE BOWL: Disney+'s Obi-Wan Kenobi (Episode 4) Review
EThe Film School Janitors continue along for the OBI-WAN KENOBI ride, and here we are at episode 4 (not that Episode IV... or is it?) Homages abound in this... second... rescue... mission, and is the endgame (not that Endgame) in sight? Check out what the Janitors had to say about all that!

AN EPISODE IN THE BOWL: Amazon Prime's The Boys (Season 3, Eps 1-4) Review
EWell, Amazon went on right ahead and delivered the first three episodes in one dump, and the Film School Janitors didn't have the time to get to those before the fourth episode arrived, but here's the first half of the season 3 review for THE BOYS, and also one of the longest run-on sentences ever!

NCU #27: Looking Glass (2018) Review
EThe Film School Janitors are back in school, and they're going to Nic Cage University! Their goal is to watch and review every film Nicolas Cage has ever made... and will ever make! This week's assignment: LOOKING GLASS Is it a clever take on "Alice in Wonderland"? Hardly! Is it a rip-off of "Bad TImes at the El Royale"? No, they came out the same year! Is it any good? Listen to find out what the Film School Janitors thought!

Netflix's Stranger Things (Season 4, Part I) Review
EShould Netflix have released their flagship show STRANGER THINGS on a weekly basis to keep the conversation about the going longer? Well, it would have helped the Film School Janitors make a shorter review! Instead, Big Red N split the season in two, so this is the Janitors first part of the fourth season breakdown!

Men (2022) Review
E"How does a guy mansplain what water in the ground is called?" "A well, actually..." Join the Film School Janitors as they review A24's latest film: MEN! What is MEN, you may be asking? Well, actually it's Alex Garland's follow up to ANNIHILATION and EX MACHINA, and it's a folk horror film about a woman alone, grieving, in a small English village. Listen to find out more!

EIt's not really Episode III, but it is Part III! The Film School Janitors review for the latest installment of OBI-WAN KENOBI drags us across the galaxy to a less sandy planet, and maybe a fateful showdown (I said maybe!)... Listen to find out what they thought!

Disney+'s Chip 'n' Dale: Rescue Rangers Review
EWhat should have been a very light and breezy review of CHIP 'N' DALE: RESCUE RANGERS, gets a little dark due to real-life stories. Thanks for nothing, Film School Janitors! (Also, it should be noted that I have to put both apostrophes around the letter N. Otherwise, I'd face legal repercussions from Disney's legal team...)

Netflix's Love, Death & Robots Volume 3 Review
ENetflix is back with another round of LOVE, DEATH & ROBOTS, and so are the Film School Janitors! Well, the Janitors may not have any love or robots (*sad trombone noise*), but at least they're "dying" for you to listen to this review for the third volume!

This week's assignment: THE UNBEARABLE WEIGHT OF MASSIVE TALENT Can you believe it?! What did the Janitors think about this self-referential film? Listen to find out!

PULLING A DOUBLE: Top Gun (1986) & Top Gun: Maverick (2022) Review
EThe Film School Janitors attempt Mach 10 into the nostalgia zone, as they revisit and visit TOP GUN and TOP GUN: MAVERICK. The sequel waited a long time to finally be released into theaters, and was it (all) the right move(s)? Or was it risky business? And did the original hold up? Or did it fall into oblivion? (That's all I feel like trying today, and saying "trying" sounds like I put work into it.) Listen and find out!

AN EPISODE IN THE BOWL: Disney+'s Obi-Wan Kenobi (Episodes 1 & 2) Review
EIf you had five guesses what OBI-WAN KENOBI's series was going to be about, would you have guessed it? If you've managed to avoid any spoilers or details about the show, the Film School Janitors have plenty of spoilers and details to add, so take a listen to their review of the first two episodes.

PULLING A DOUBLE: Firestarter (1984) and (2022) Review
EThe Film School Janitors are pulling another double with the release of the remake of FIRESTARTER! They watched the classic(?) Stephen King adaptation from 1984 and the recent Blumhouse version, and they compare notes! BONUS! IQ tests are taken by the Janitors, so expect to hear three specific numbers always referenced until the end of time!

AN EPISODE IN THE BOWL: Paramount+'s Halo (Episode 9) Review
EThe last episode of HALO happened (for the season at least), and the Film School Janitors took a day off of work to watch it multiple times (well, twice for some of them). Why isn't everybody else talking about this show? Is this description maybe a little bit sarcastic? Listen to find out what the Janitors really thought...

AN EPISODE IN THE BOWL: Paramount+'s Halo (Episode 8) Review
EWe're almost to the end of the great experiment that is HALO! As this long-anticipated adaption winds down, has it made its fans happy? Even though a second season is in the works, will it get the same budget as this season? Why do we, a couple of Film School Janitors, care about some video game TV show's budget? Maybe we like the show, despite its flaws? Listen and find out our thoughts!

Obviously, based on the length of this podcast episode, they have a lot to say about a movie that's barely any longer. Is it a great DOCTOR STRANGE movie? Maybe an insightful SCARLET WITCH flick? Or is it Sam Raimi's return to form? Listen and find out!

LITTER BITS: Previews before Doctor Strange 2, including Avatar 2
EThe Film School Janitors chit-chat about the trailers for ELVIS, LIGHTYEAR, and the AVATAR sequel, whose full name I refuse to look up right now as I write this.

EThe Film School Janitors missed a week but they're back with the final two episodes review of MOON KNIGHT! ELEMENTARY FSJ: Spider-Men: Reviewing the Five Maguire/Garfield Films
EThe Elementary Film School Janitors break down all five SPIDER-MAN films that previously had nothing to do with the MCU (spoilers!), and it takes awhile... there are three Tobey Maguire films and two Andrew Garfield ones. That's a lot!

AN EPISODE IN THE BOWL: Disney+'s Moon Knight (Episode 4) Review
ELayla! You got Steven Grant on his knees! The fourth episode of MOON KNIGHT picks up where episode three left off (that's how TV shows work right?), and we get a nice showcase of Layla's skillset for most of the episode - but then!!! I won't put anything too much down here. You'll just have to hear what the Film School Janitors say about it!

AN EPISODE IN THE BOWL: Paramount+'s Halo (Episode 5) Review
EThe action heats up in episode 5 of HALO, and the Film School Janitors still aren't warming to that subplot on Madrigal. What are their other thought? Listen and find out!
