Alan Carter is the President & CEO of Cabral Gold, a mineral exploration company with a focus on gold and copper with a key asset is the Cuiu Cuiu gold project located in Northern Brazil. A geologist by background, Alan has an extensive career across South America so is well-positioned to develop this gold project in Brazil and give us an update on the Cuiu Gold project plus news on other discoveries in the local area. In this episode, we chat with Kerim Sener, Managing Director at Ariana Resources, an AIM-listed gold exploration and development company focused on epithermal gold-silver and porphyry copper-gold deposits in Turkey. Kerim is an experienced exploration geologist within the junior mining space. He has worked in Australia, Europe, Africa, and North America and gives us an update on Ariana’ Kiziltepe, Tavsan and Salinbas projects and what Turkey is like as a mining jurisdiction. Their first drilling program had an unprecedented success rate of 30%. They got excellent results, including 2.5 grams of gold and over 1000 grams per tonne of silver. Tier One Silver has the only complete system in Southern Peru, which means immense potential for multiple metals. They have got their exploration licences and have not experienced any operational delays due to the jurisdiction that they are working in. The civil unrest has not negatively affected them. In this episode, we chat to Ritch Wigham, CEO and Director of Slave Lake Zinc. A mineral exploration company focused on the development of critical and precious minerals at its O'Connor Lake property located in the South Slave regions, in the Northwest Territories of Canada. Ritch has a finance background. He is leading this junior miner into the future. Today, he talks to us about the history and what the company is looking to do to move their project forward with this critical mineral. KEY TAKEAWAYS O´Connor Lake had a shaft built in 1952. The operation was shuttered when the price of zinc dropped. Decades ago, 25 showings of zinc and lead were found, but the project was shelved and forgotten. Recent airborne geophysics confirmed historic analysis and shows the area has rich deposits. Slave Lake Zinc has a collaboration agreement in place with the indigenous people of the area. The indigenous community appreciate that their young people need good jobs to stay in the area, which mining is providing. The site has year-round access and transport. Hydro power will soon be available, just a couple of kilometres away. Zinc is on a lot of country´s critical metals lists.
