We have a question for you. Answer with the first thing that comes to your mind. What is your favorite statement piece in your home? Were you able to answer right away? Between the three of us, we have probably made almost any decorating mistake you can make. Nothing schools a decorator better than a few whoppers! The tired old elf is gonna look even more bedraggled next year! Ok, now you have the cherished & LOVED decor to pack away. Use bins or sturdy boxes. Clear or labeled work best. Kelly suggests creating an "open first" box that contains the items you like to start with so you aren't opening bin after bin looking for a certain item. Kelly & Yvonne both start decorating with their mantles. So their "open first" boxes will contain all the items for the mantle. Get the idea... Organize your bins by area, tree or even color, but do organize them and group 'like' things together. The 'like' can be where they go, the color or type of thing. This makes decorating next year easier & more efficient. If you have artificial trees and no tree bag pick up a pack of these tree bags. O, CHRISTMAS TREE... O, CHRISTMAS TREE! We all love to decorate a Christmas tree. They may all look different and we may have certain opinions about what goes on a tree and what doesn't. Christmas trees are a very individual thing. Today we are sharing how to make your tree the best from the tree skirt to the star on the top!!!! The most important thing to do with a faux tree is to "fluff" it. Make sure the branches are pulled apart and fluffed up! If you have a live tree make sure to recut the bottom of the tree off. And keep it well watered! Cover your floor before you set up your tree. When you are putting up your tree make sure to wear garden gloves to protect your hands. After you get your tree in its stand the lights come next. Make sure to check the lights to make sure they all work! See the LIGHT KEEP PRO to fix a string of light that don't work.
