I try to get out and walk him every day and I combine it with a "Gratitude Walk" for me (since, I am for sure grateful for spending time with our dog). The walk yesterday was powerful all due to a very simple sound I heard. I hope you can connect with special memories from your life. I look to do it a bit more often after this happened. :-)

“Send Coach John a message”I don't know who needs to hear this.... part 5 of 8, but sometimes the weight we need to lose isn't on our body! A very interesting thought, especially here at New Years’ time where we tend to look at fitness. The "weight" we may need to lose could be so many other things other than "pounds" or "lbs". I know I need to get rid of plenty of things - some of them physically things (we have a lot of extra stuff in our house that we need to purge). But more importantly, my bad attitudes, bad habits, negative thoughts, fears, worries, etc., are things for sure that I need to throw out. “Send Coach John a message”A bigtime plate of humble pie got served to me in a very embarrassing evening that was supposed to be a joyous occasion. I'm going deep here in the authentic department to share a not so fun situation where I learned (and still learning) some very valuable lessons. I'm not proud of this at all - but I wanted to share this lesson in being humble, to take your "medicine" when you do something wrong, when you need to fix things inside yourself for better things to happen, especially to help your relationships with those you love.
