Talking Soundtracks: Interview with Christophe Beck

Christophe Beck, an Emmy-winning film and television composer, has defined the sound of iconic productions such as FROZEN, THE HANGOVER franchise, THE MUPPETS and the cult classic series BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER. Jason Drury had the pleasure of speaking with Christophe via Zoom at his Los Angeles home near the end of September 2024. During the conversation, they talked about his career to date, being tutored by the legendary Jerry Goldsmith, his work on BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, and composing for the MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE, including AGATHA ALL ALONG. But first, they discussed another of his recent scores, THE INSTIGATORS, which will be released on APPLE + in August 2024. Doug Liman directed the film, which stars Matt Damon and Casey Affleck as reluctant partners: a desperate father and an ex-con thrown together to steal a corrupt politician's ill-gotten gains. When the heist goes wrong, the two are caught up in a whirlwind of chaos. Enjoy! —— Special thanks to our Patreon supporters: Matt DeWater, David Ballantyne, Joe Wiles, Maxime, William Welch, Tim Burden, Alan Rogers, Dave Williams, Max Hamulyák, Jeffrey Graebner, Don Mase, Victor Field, Jochen Stolz, Emily Mason, Eric Skroch, Alexander Schiebel, Alphonse Brown, John Link, Andreas Wennmyr, Matt Berretta, Eldaly Morningstar, Jim Wilson, Glenn McDorman, Chris Malone, Steve Karpicz, Deniz Çağlar, Brent Osterberg, Jérôme Flick, Sarah Brouns, Aaron Collins, Randall Derchan, Angela Rabatin, Michael Poteet, Larry Reese, Thomas Tinneny, William Burke, Rudy Amaya, Stacy Livitsanis, Rick Laird, Carl Wonders, Nathan Blumenfeld, Lee Wileman, Daniel Herrin, Scott Bordelon, James Alexander, Brett French, Ian Clark, Ron, Andy Gray —— Cinematic Sound Radio is fully licensed to play music by SOCAN. The Flagship Show: All Request Halloween Special 2024

Since launching the CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO PODCAST Patreon in April of 2021, we've offered our patrons exclusive perks based on the tier they signed up for. One of those perks is participating in all request programs. If you want to join in future all-request shows, please head over to our Patreon page, and join the community in any tier that is $5 USD/month or above. Once you do, you can participate in all upcoming all-request programs. Before we get into today's episode, we must first discuss its origins. On October 30, 2023, I worked late into the evening to complete the first ALL REQUEST HALLOWEEN SPECIAL. The audio was recorded, tracks were chosen, and the editing was finished. I tried to export the show, and to my horror Adobe Audition crashed. I restarted the application and tried again. Same result, but this time I received an error message indicating that my voice-over file was corrupt. It took nearly an hour to record the voiceover and several hours to edit the episode. I was also in the midst of one of my busiest years ever, so I didn't have the time or energy to do it all over again, so I informed my Patrons that the show would be postponed and rescheduled for this year! Thank goodness I have a wonderful community of patrons over there, they understand and waited patiently for the show to be done. Fast forward almost 365 days, and here we are; everything has been re-recorded, re-edited, and... I am pleased to announce that the show has been successfully exported for you to enjoy today! For this first ever Patreon All Request Halloween Special show, you get to hear some spooky favourites from the biggest supporters of the Cinematic Sound Radio Podcast including Alan Rogers, Al Brown, Glenn McDorman, Don Mase, Will Welch, Angela Rabatin, Deniz Çağlar, Jérôme Flick, Stacy Livitsanis, Lee Wileman, Joe Wiles, Jeffrey Graebner, Victor Field, Eldaly Morningstar, Steve Karpicz, Dave Williams and Carl Wonders. They requested tracks from such composers as Ronald Stein, John Harrison, Christophe Beck, Herdís Stefánsdóttir, Christopher Young, Jerry Goldsmith, James Horner, Wojciech Kilar, Bruno Coulais, Bruce Broughton, Dean Kopri, Joesph LoDuca, Alejandro Amenabar, and John Williams. Thank you to everyone who participated. Again, if you didn't get a chance to submit a request but want to be a part of the next all-request program, we'd love to have you join the CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO PODCAST Patreon community. However, you should not feel obligated to participate. I am not forcing anyone to join. Remember, this podcast is always free to listen to, but if you want to support the program and join the Patreon community, we'd be delighted to have you. Enjoy the show! —— Special thanks to our Patreon supporters: Matt DeWater, David Ballantyne, Joe Wiles, Maxime, William Welch, Tim Burden, Alan Rogers, Dave Williams, Max Hamulyák, Jeffrey Graebner, Don Mase, Victor Field, Jochen Stolz, Emily Mason, Eric Skroch, Alexander Schiebel, Alphonse Brown, John Link, Andreas Wennmyr, Matt Berretta, Eldaly Morningstar, Jim Wilson, Glenn McDorman, Chris Malone, Steve Karpicz, Deniz Çağlar, Brent Osterberg, Jérôme Flick, Sarah Brouns, Aaron Collins, Randall Derchan, Angela Rabatin, Michael Poteet, Larry Reese, Thomas Tinneny, William Burke, Rudy Amaya, Stacy Livitsanis, Rick Laird, Carl Wonders, Nathan Blumenfeld, Lee Wileman, Daniel Herrin, Scott Bordelon, James Alexander, Brett French, Ian Clark, Ron, Andy Gray —— Cinematic Sound Radio is fully licensed to play music by SOCAN. The Flagship Show: Cinematic Sound Radio's 28th Anniversary

On today’s program, I’m celebrating the 28th anniversary of CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO, which began on September 20th, 1996, at CHMR / C101.5 FM at Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario. The station is now called INDI 101. For all of our anniversary programs, and yes, some years I forget to do one, I try to create something new. Sometimes it's clever, and other times it's just a simple, dumb idea that's relatively simple to implement. This show is the latter. Since the show is now 28 years old, I've decided to base it on that number. So, you'll hear tracks that are either 28 seconds long, scores that are 28 years old, films with the number 28 in the title, the 28th track on the album, take place in 1928, or were written in 1928 featuring composers Mark Snow, John Murphy, Charlie Chaplin, Thomas Newman, Danny Elfman, Terence Blanchard, Joseph Conlon, Marc Sharman, David Arnold and Dominic Frontiere. Admittedly, this is silly, but it was quite enjoyable to put together. In any case, I hope you'll enjoy it. —— Special thanks to our Patreon supporters: Matt DeWater, David Ballantyne, Joe Wiles, Maxime, William Welch, Tim Burden, Alan Rogers, Dave Williams, Max Hamulyák, Jeffrey Graebner, Don Mase, Victor Field, Jochen Stolz, Emily Mason, Eric Skroch, Alexander Schiebel, Alphonse Brown, John Link, Andreas Wennmyr, Matt Berretta, Eldaly Morningstar, Jim Wilson, Glenn McDorman, Chris Malone, Steve Karpicz, Deniz Çağlar, Brent Osterberg, Jérôme Flick, Sarah Brouns, Aaron Collins, Randall Derchan, Angela Rabatin, Michael Poteet, Larry Reese, Thomas Tinneny, William Burke, Rudy Amaya, Stacy Livitsanis, Rick Laird, Carl Wonders, Nathan Blumenfeld, Lee Wileman, Daniel Herrin, Scott Bordelon, James Alexander, Brett French, Ian Clark —— Cinematic Sound Radio is fully licensed to play music by SOCAN. Talking Soundtracks: Interview with Emilio Audissino

In 2014, author, film studies academic, and film musicologist Emilio Audissino published the first edition of his book THE FILM MUSIC OF JOHN WILLIAMS. In 2021, the book's second edition was published. While focusing on John Williams' music and career by analyzing the composer's approach to writing music, the book also discussed three significant film scores in Williams' filmography: JAWS, STAR WARS, and RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. In early June 2024, Jason Drury had the pleasure of speaking with Emilio via Zoom at Linnaeus University, Sweden, where he was an Associate Professor. To commemorate the book's tenth anniversary, they discussed its origins and delved into John Williams' musical career, featuring music from many of the composer's most memorable scores. The Flagship Show: A Tribute To Douglass Fake - Intrada Records

In this episode, CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO pays tribute to a genuine soundtrack hero and pioneer… Intrada Records founder, Douglass Fake, who passed away at the age of 72 on July 13, 2024. Who was Douglass Fake? Well, one of Doug’s closest friends and colleagues, Joe Sikoryak, wrote a beautiful obituary a few days after Doug’s passing on Facebook. You can read it HERE! I personally never met Doug, but I did communicate with him and Roger Fiegelson, Intrada’s executive producer, many times when requesting albums to play on my soundtrack show, which began in 1996. Doug and the rest of the crew at Intrada have been supporting the show for over 25 years, and I do remember Doug telling me that if I ever needed anything, I should call or email him or Roger and they’d send whatever I requested down immediately. It didn’t matter if it was a new release or a release that came out ten years ago; if they had it in stock, they’d send it down. We planned to release this episode a few weeks ago but a few things popped up that slowed down production (work and illnesses). On top of that, the fine folks at Intrada Records were guests on Robert Emmett's soundtrack radio program "The Norman Bates Memorial Soundtrack Show," where they produced their own three-hour tribute show to Doug on Saturday August 24, 2024. So, not to step on any toes, I decided to delay the release of my own tribute show to today. So, on today’s show, we’ll be playing not only selections from Intrada’s extensive soundtrack library, but also messages of remembrance from fans such as Amer Zahid, Chris Malone, Ian Clark, Jason Drury, Jim Wilson, Nick Zwar, Lee Wileman, and Victor Field. Doug’s was a legend in the soundtrack community and we owe him a debt of gratitude for bringing much joy into our lives. Thank you, Doug. You will be missed. Enjoy the show! PS – During the program, you'll hear me mention that Chris Malone produced a heartfelt tribute to Doug on YouTube. You can see that video by clicking HERE! I also mentioned an episode of The Goldsmith Odyssey dedicated to the production of Intrada Records RIO CONCHOS recording. You can listen to that episode HERE! —— Special thanks to our Patreon supporters: Matt DeWater, David Ballantyne, Joe Wiles, Maxime, William Welch, Tim Burden, Alan Rogers, Dave Williams, Max Hamulyák, Jeffrey Graebner, Don Mase, Victor Field, Jochen Stolz, Emily Mason, Eric Skroch, Alexander Schiebel, Alphonse Brown, John Link, Andreas Wennmyr, Matt Berretta, Eldaly Morningstar, Jim Wilson, Glenn McDorman, Chris Malone, Steve Karpicz, Deniz Çağlar, Brent Osterberg, Jérôme Flick, Sarah Brouns, Aaron Collins, Randall Derchan, Angela Rabatin, Michael Poteet, Larry Reese, Thomas Tinneny, William Burke, Rudy Amaya, Stacy Livitsanis, Rick Laird, Carl Wonders, Nathan Blumenfeld, Lee Wileman, Daniel Herrin, Scott Bordelon, James Alexander, Brett French, Ian Clark —— Cinematic Sound Radio is fully licensed to play music by SOCAN. The Archive with Jason Drury: Episode 41 - The London Symphony Orchestra

On Sunday, June 16th, 2024, Jason Drury traveled to London’s Barbican Centre to watch and listen to music performed by the world’s greatest film music orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra. The evening celebrated the orchestra’s 90th anniversary of performing film scores. Under the direction of the equally great Dirk Brossé, they performed suites from twenty scores, some well-known, some underrated, all pure quality. Listening to all that wonderful music gave Jason an idea. Why not produce an Archive Show celebrating the music of the LSO featuring scores all performed by this wonderful ensemble? So, that’s what we are going to do today. In addition, as with the concert, Jason will play one cue from the film or a small suite. And, because it is a ‘concert’, you will hear several of these suites with as little contribution from your trusted host as possible. Welcome to Cinematic Sound Radio’s celebration of the music of the London Symphony Orchestra. The Flagship Show: Timeline, Wild Rovers, The Crow and more

This episode's origin comes from my time recovering from gallbladder surgery last month. I was looking for something to watch when I saw Richard Donner's TIMELINE on my Plex server. I hadn't watched the film in over 20 years... 20 YEARS?!?!?!?!... and so I thought I'd put it on to see if it was as bad as I remembered. It wasn't all that bad, but Brian Tyler's score really irritated me. So, after watching the film, I listened to both Tyler's replacement score and Jerry Goldsmith's rejected score and decided to write some notes. Well, you know me; I ended up writing about 700 words. For a brief moment, I thought about resurrecting my blog, but I hate sharing my writing, so I decided to turn it into a podcast episode. As I continued to write, one thing led to another, and before I knew it, my script was 2814 words long. In addition to writing about TIMELINE, I also wrote about action music, which led me to write about action cues that subverted the norm using two examples by Michael Giacchino (STAR TREK and MEDAL OF HONOR: FRONTLINE). Then I remembered an interview from the early 80s where Jerry Goldsmith talked about the function of film music and writing a specific action cue for the 1971 film, WILD ROVERS. So, I wrote about that. I then remembered to write about my experience at TriCon 2024 here in Kitchener last winter and discuss my newfound appreciation of Graham Revell's THE CROW. I then concluded with a birthday shout-out to David Shire, who turned 87 on July 3rd, the day of this recording. So, after finishing my FAVOURITE SCORES OF 2023 episodes, I recorded and edited this new episode, which I'm happy to share with you today. I really enjoyed the entire process of producing this episode. I liked having the opportunity to inform and educate by using specific examples instead of just doing what I've been doing over the past, however long it's been. This type of show feels more like what I do on Randy Andrew's THE ESSENTIAL SOUNDTRACKS (aka SOUNDTRACK ALLEY) than a traditional CSR episode. Anyway, let me know what you think. Also, the name is temporary. I had no idea what to call what I was doing so I just called it SOUNDTRACK POTPOURRI, which is so NPR lame. Talking Soundtracks: Interview with Jeff Russo

RIPLEY, which premiered on Netflix in April 2024, is a neo-noir psychological thriller television series created, written and directed by Steven Zaillian, based on Patricia Highsmith's 1955 crime novel THE TALENTED MR. RIPLEY. The series starred Andrew Scott, Johnny Flynn and Dakota Fanning. In late 1950s New York, Tom Ripley, a down-at-the-heels con man, is hired by a wealthy man to convince his prodigal son to return home from Italy. But Tom's introduction to Dickie Greenleaf's comfortable and leisurely life abroad turns out to be "the first step into a complex life of deceit, fraud and murder. The composer for the series score is Jeff Russo, the renowned award-winning composer, songwriter, guitarist, vocalist, and music producer whose versatile talent has left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry, from captivating TV series to compelling film scores and beyond. Jason Drury had the pleasure of speaking with Jeff via Zoom at his Los Angeles home in April 2024. During the interview, they discussed his extensive work on RIPLEY as well as his career to date, with a focus on a number of his hit shows from his extensive resume. Throughout the show, we will hear more music from RIPLEY as well as from other shows with music by Jeff Russo including FARGO, LEGION, STAR TREK: DISCOVERY and STAR TREK: PICARD. Talking Soundtracks: Interview with Dynamic Music Partners

BABYLON 5: THE ROAD HOME, which features Emmy-winning composers Lolita Ritmanis, Kristopher Carter, and Michael McCuistion of DYNAMIC MUSIC PARTNERS, has been nominated for Best Music – TV/Media at the 2024 ANNIE AWARDS. Ritmanis, Carter, and McCuistion are the first composers to write music for the series since the original composer, Christopher Franke. The score intricately weaves driving rhythms and powerful motifs that resonate with the essence of the sci-fi narrative. Ritmanis, Carter, and McCuistion combine traditional orchestral elements with contemporary sounds to create the futuristic and otherworldly atmosphere of the BABYLON 5 franchise. From thrilling action sequences to poignant character moments, the score serves as a vital storyteller, enhancing every scene.. Ritmanis, Carter, and McCuistion have collectively earned a total of twenty-eight EMMY AWARD nominations and now seven ANNIE AWARD nominations as composers for series such as MARVEL’S AVENGERS ASSEMBLE, BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD, JUSTICE LEAGUE, TEEN TITANS, BATMAN BEYOND, THE ZETA PROJECT and THE NEW BATMAN SUPERMAN ADVENTURES. For TALKING SOUNDTRACKS in February 2024, Jason Drury had the pleasure of speaking with Lolita, Michael, and Kristopher via Zoom at their respective studios in California. During the conversation, we discussed BABYLON 5: THE ROAD HOME, how DYNAMIC MUSIC PARTNERS formed, their respective projects, and where it all began, BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES, which was bought together by their mentor, the late great Shirley Walker. Steve is one of three CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO PODCAST patrons who signed up for the exclusive top COMPOSER TIER at the CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO PODCAST Patreon. He took advantage of the tier's exclusive perk to co-host a program with Erik Woods and play whatever music he wanted. As with Joe Wiles' episodes, and William Welch's episodes, Steve and Erik talked for a considerable time, so the show has been split into two parts. During this episode, William and Erik talk about choral scores, among other things. The Archive with Jason Drury: A Tribute To Mike Ross-Trevor

On Tuesday, January 2, 2024, the film music community lost one of its greatest recording engineers, Mike Ross-Trevor. His collaborations with composers such as Jerry Goldsmith and Bruce Broughton have become legendary in the film music world. Jason Drury had the pleasure of speaking with Mike in February 2018 for the CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO PODCAST. The two show shows can be heard at cinematicsound.net It was with great sadness that Jason learned of Mike's passing since he had many happy recollections of their interview and Mike has remained a close friend. So, Jason decided to produce a new program by utilizing remastered interview clips from 2018 and by playing some of the fantastic music that Mike was associated with. To give the program a distinct and intimate feel, Mike Ross-Trevor will be the only voice heard throughout, narrating his own recording career and sharing a few memories of the amazing sessions he worked on. The Flagship Show: 2023 Christmas Special

In today's program, it's our 2023 CHRISTMAS SPECIAL. We've been putting this show together annually since 2018. Before we begin, I want to personally offer my thanks to the great team here at the CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO PODCAST. Fourty-five new shows, including this one, went out this year, not including any new shows that go up until the end of the year. We passed the 500,000 downloads mark and we are 45,000 downloads away from 600,000 all time. We made it back to FM radio, albeit briefly. If I can remember correctly, only one episode went on the air at BUTE ISLAND RADIO before the s__t the fan! I’m hoping to get back on the FM dial sometime in 2024. I think that’s where the show ultimately belongs—at least a show with this format—so I just need to find a place that wants me. We've been ranking in the top 200 all over the world. Today we are #6 in Cyprus. Thanks to all of our listeners in Cyprus! The point is, people are still listening and I owe much of our success to ... Jason Drury, Eric Silver, J. Blake Fichera, Robert Daniels, Randy Andrew, the voice of CSR Tim Burden, in-house composer David Coscina, and Ley Bricknell. And of course, I cannot forget you... the listener... thank you very much for spending some time with us today! So let's get into the program, and as we did over the past SIX years, this show is a collaborative effort. Each participating host will get a segment of their own on the program to play whatever festival score they see fit. On today's program, four CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO PODCAST hosts join me again to celebrate the holiday season by playing Christmas-themed music from a wide variety of film, TV and video game scores. Join Jason Drury from THE ARCHIVE & TALKING SOUNDTRACKS, J. Blake Fichera from SCORED TO DEATH RADIO, Randy Andrews from THE ANIME SPECTACULAR & THE ESSENTIAL SOUNDTRACKS, Eric Silver from THE 1UPBEAT, and me, Erik Woods, for our annual Yuletide spectacular. On the show today, you are going to hear selections from DEN FØRSTE JULEN I SKOMAKERGATA aka CHRISTMAS IN COBBLER STREET (Storaas), HOOK (Williams), ROCKY IV (Dicola), PREP AND LANDING (Giacchino), HOGWART'S LEGACY (Rakozy) and a special gift at the end of the show. Talking Soundtracks: Interview with Kristian Sensini

MY LOVE AFFAIR WITH MARRIAGE follows Zelma on her 23-year quest for perfect love and lasting marriage, set against a backdrop of historic events in Eastern Europe. Told from a woman’s point of view, the film blends historical, biological, societal, and emotional arcs with a lively sense of humour and musical numbers. This animated film for adults tackles the issues of love, gender norms, domestic violence, fantasies, and toxic relationships to propel a woman's journey toward independence and liberation. The score for the film is by composer, pianist, flautist, and music producer Kristian Sensini. Jason Drury had the opportunity to speak with Kristian via Cleanfeed in November 2023 for TALKING SOUNDTRACKS from his residence in Rome, Italy. They discussed his music for MY LOVE AFFAIR WITH MARRIAGE, and Jason played selections from this unique score. Talking Soundtracks: Interview with Ian MacDonald - The Music of John Barry

The late, legendary composer John Barry was due to turn 90 on November 3, 2023. With host, Jason Drury and John Barry enthusiast Ian MacDonald, CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO is happy to present a special edition of TALKING SOUNDTRACKS in honour of this occasion. Welcome to a special Halloween-themed show of THE ARCHIVE on the CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO PODCAST. Your host Jason Drury has collaborated with famed soundtrack blogger, Jon Mansell, to create a show so scary, that Jason had to hide behind his chair while working on the voiceovers. The show's delights include music for THE LADY IN WHITE (Varese Sarabande Records) by composer/director Frank Laloggia, Krzysztof Komeda’s unusual work for Roman Polanski’s 1967 film THE FEARLESS VAMPIRE KILLERS (Power Bros Records) as well as Ennio Morricone’s excellent score for the not-so-excellent EXORCIST II: THE HERETIC (Warner Bros. Records). Jason and Jon also put under the spotlight music from Bronislau Kaper’s 1954 score for THEM (Monstrous Movie Music Records) and the classic Hammer horror with James Bernard’s main theme from DRACULA (Silva Screen). You'll also hear a suite from DRACULA PRINCE OF DARKNESS (Silva Screen) as well as Bruno Nicolai's theme for II CONTE DRACULA (Digitmovies). Talking Soundtracks: Interview with Leigh Phillips - Part Two

Leigh Phillips is a composer, orchestrator, and producer with experience in creating unique compositions and orchestrations for media, concert performances, and CD recordings. In May 2023 for TALKING SOUNDTRACKS ON THE CINEMATIC SOUND PODCAST, Jason Drury had the pleasure of talking to Leigh Phillips from his home in Prague. In part one of our two-part conversation Leigh discussed his musical roots, how he got into orchestration work and score reconstruction, and how he began his association with James Fitzpatrick and Tadlow Records. Part two discusses his work on Goldsmith re-recordings such as BLACK PATCH and GENERAL ELECTRIC THEATRE, his thoughts on film music today, and his fears about the employment of artificial intelligence in future film soundtracks. As with part one, you will hear music that Leigh Phillips has orchestrated or composed just for these events to highlight his immense talent. —— Special thanks to our Patreon supporters: Matt DeWater, David Ballantyne, Joe Wiles, Maxime, William Welch, Tim Burden, Alan Rogers, Dave Williams, Max Hamulyák, Jeffrey Graebner, Douglas Lacey, Don Mase, Victor Field, Jochen Stolz, Emily Mason, Eric Skroch, Alexander Schiebel, Alphonse Brown, John Link, Andreas Wennmyr, Matt Berretta, Eldaly Morningstar, Jim Wilson, Glenn McDorman, Chris Malone, Steve Karpicz, Deniz Çağlar, Brent Osterberg, Jérôme Flick, Sarah Brouns, Aaron Collins, Randall Derchan, Angela Rabatin, Michael Poteet, Larry Reese, Thomas Tinneny, William Burke, Clint Morgan, Rudy Amaya, Eric Marvin, Stacy Livitsanis, Rick Laird, Carl Wonders, Michael Poteet, Nathan Blumenfeld, Daniel Herrin, Mike Kohutich —— Cinematic Sound Radio is fully licensed to play music by SOCAN. Bute Island Radio Premiere Episode - Spy Films

Before I left Bute Island Radio, I produced two complete episodes, with one other episode still in the planning stages. One episode made it to air; the others did not. This was the episode that made it to air. This was the premiere episode of CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO for Bute Island Radio. If you are unaware of what transpired with Bute Island Radio, I suggest you read my announcement post HERE and then read my resignation post HERE. For my first episode on Bute Island Radio, I thought I'd take advantage of the popularity of MISSION IMPOSSIBLE and the recent release of MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - DEAD RECKONING PART ONE, and play music from Spy Films. On the program I played selections from MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE (Elfman), MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - DEAD RECKONING PART ONE (Balfe), MUNICH (Williams), NOTORIOUS (Webb), THE IPCRESS FILE (Barry), THE TAILOR OF PANAMA (Davey) and THE RUSSIA HOUSE (Goldsmith). This was the most fun I've had producing a program since my John Williams tribute a few years ago! I hope you enjoy the commentary and the selections. —— Special thanks to our Patreon supporters: Matt DeWater, David Ballantyne, Joe Wiles, Maxime, William Welch, Tim Burden, Alan Rogers, Dave Williams, Max Hamulyák, Jeffrey Graebner, Douglas Lacey, Don Mase, Victor Field, Jochen Stolz, Emily Mason, Eric Skroch, Alexander Schiebel, Alphonse Brown, John Link, Andreas Wennmyr, Matt Berretta, Eldaly Morningstar, Jim Wilson, Glenn McDorman, Chris Malone, Steve Karpicz, Deniz Çağlar, Brent Osterberg, Jérôme Flick, Sarah Brouns, Aaron Collins, Randall Derchan, Angela Rabatin, Michael Poteet, Larry Reese, Thomas Tinneny, William Burke, Clint Morgan, Rudy Amaya, Eric Marvin, Stacy Livitsanis, Rick Laird, Carl Wonders, Michael Poteet, Nathan Blumenfeld, Daniel Herrin, Mike Kohutich —— Cinematic Sound Radio is fully licensed to play music by SOCAN.
