Daily Word - When we mix God's will with our own we are headed toward an eventual failure. Unfortunately it is very easy to taint God's will and not even realize it. However, when we do realize it, we need to get back on track even if we've spent a lot of money going down a tainted path. Don't allow the fact that you spend money going in a wrong direction cause you to stress about changing directions because God loves you so much that He will restore whatever you spent going down the wrong path. Daily Word - The Bible teaches us that the love of money is the root of all evil, but what does that really mean? Does it mean we should give all our money away and live a very modest life? Does it mean we shouldn't devise plans to make money from our businesses? Daily Word - God's words in the Bible are powerless if they are not planted and watered in your heart. For example, an apple seed is useless until it is planted in the ground and watered properly with rain, then it can produce an apple tree. In the same way, God's words are seeds that need to be planted and watered in the ground of your heart. Once planted and watered, the word-seed's harvest is faith. Links - Join, Partner

Daily Word - Most Christians are controlled by their feelings, which is completely backward from God's viewpoint. At times, it may seem impossible, but God has designed us to control our feelings instead of the other way around. When our feelings are out of control, we become stressed, which leads to constant irritability and long-term depression. Daily Word - There are many times along your entrepreneurial journey where you need to quit certain activities to gain more success. These times occur because you either misheard God, or the seasons for those activities have ended. Daily Word - What holds most Christians in business back from maximal success is this nagging question in the back of their mind: Is pursuing money okay? This uncertainty has them charging less money than they should or wanting to give their products and services away for free. Due to worldly and churchly pressures, we are inundated with messages that say making money is bad, from Hollywood to the Pulpit. They see the pursuit of profit in business as a necessary evil at best, and at worst they see pursuing profit as taking from society and the poor. There are very few things that the world and the church agree on, and it seems like that they both have deemed pursuing profit as bad. Daily Word - As entrepreneurs, it is very tempting to see a need and start something to fill that need. We have no shortage of money-making ideas or desires to start new ministries to fix various societal ills. However, we need to execute a lot of self-control in this area because great ideas will break our focus and cause us to fail at what God has really called us to do. Daily Word - Is God punishing me? Have I done something to make God mad? Have I been disobedient to His Word? These are just a few questions we ask ourselves when bad things happen to us. However, these are actually the wrong questions to ask. In today's message, we examine why bad things happen to us, and how we can avoid them or stop many of them from happening in the first place. Daily Word - Various reasons, some out of and others in our control, cause a lack of results in our callings. A reason in our control is our growth. Not physical growth but personal growth. You see, the person you are today has to grow into the person you need to be for tomorrow's success, because the next level of success in your calling requires you to become a new person. Daily Word - When God gives you a calling, He is not putting pressure on you to achieve it all within a certain time frame. He has given you your entire life to fulfill your calling. If you feel pressure, that pressure is coming from Satan, not God. Therefore, don't condemn yourself for not having achieved more by some artificial due date. Daily Word - Our society is obsessed with credibility and credentials. If you are a chef, they want to know what culinary school you went to. If you're a business coach, they want to know what successful business you have personally made a million dollars from. If you say you are starting a ministry, people want to know what theology school you got your ministry degree from. These questions are basically trying to judge or challenge your credibility. Daily Word - There is a misconception that says, "If God called me to start a business or ministry, then I will not lack anything." Well, this is not quite true. As you are on your entrepreneurial journey, God may lead you through periods of financial lack. Now, He is not causing the lack, but the road to your calling may be paved with financial lack. Daily Word - Some Christians believe that seeking and having money will keep you out of the Kingdom of God. They hold this belief, because in the Bible Jesus told a rich, young ruler to sell all he had and give it to poor, and then he could have eternal life. Based on this Bible passage, many have drawn a negative connection between having money and entering the Kingdom of God. So is this true? Daily Word - I want to examine an interesting aspect of Jesus – He was probably really short. Most people envision Jesus as tall, very attractive, and commanding, based on Western standards. However, this was far from the case. I know that this topic seems to come out of left field, but it's important to see this about Jesus, because it will greatly increase our confidence in achieving the calling God has given us. Daily Word - For many believers, lack of financial stability is a hindrance to the calling God has given them. It is not a hindrance because God can't use us if we are in lack. However, in many cases, financial lack causes us to focus our time and creativity inwardly instead of outwardly. An inward-focused mind is in the wrong position to hear God for the fullness of the vision. Therefore, in the Bible, we see many times how God provides for people's personal financial needs first, and then they step into a major area of their vision. Links - Join, Partner

Daily Word - In our guru culture of coaches and mentors, we are being programmed to follow other people's paths to success. This is tempting to our intellect and emotions because we believe that if somebody has made six or seven figures doing it a certain way, then we'll also be successful if we just follow their way. However, this rarely happens. If you look at the results of the guru's students, they rarely reach the same level of success as the guru. And of course the guru says that if you take action, you will make it just like me. Well, people are taking actions, and it is still not working. The reason it is not working is because another person's path to success is not your blueprint from God. And by the way, this also applies to trying to follow the success of someone else's ministry. Daily Word - In life, we experience many problems that come up against us. Some problems come in the form of financial hardship. Others come as sickness, or even some come through a close relationship. However, whatever the type of problem, you can be sure that the problems you're facing are not God trying to test you. So when we are faced with the stress of financial pressures, we jump into action and try everything we know to make more money. Daily Word - According to the Bible, the one thing that opens the door to all evil is the love of money. Now, most people think that this sin can only be committed by people with money. However, this is far from the truth. The love of money can be committed by anyone, believer or nonbeliever, and those involved in entrepreneurial pursuits need to be more careful than others not to fall into the love of money trap. Daily Word - We find ourselves feeling powerless because we don't realize who we are in Christ and that God has given us the power of decision. And with this power comes great responsibility, but it is our power to use. For example, many women in abusive marriages look to pastors and Bible teachers to answer the question, "Should I get a divorce or should I stay?" And many women get answers that they find unsatisfactory in either direction, and they are plunged into a feeling of powerlessness. Or maybe you are in a job that you hate, and you want to quit your job and start a business. But others are telling you to be responsible and not quit. Or perhaps you are called to the ministry, and your church leadership disagrees with you or doesn't notice your ministry call. Yes, seek counsel from a pastor and trusted advisors, but at the end of the day, the decision (right or wrong) in any area of your life is yours to make. Links - Join, Partner

Daily Word - Research shows that two to three million churchgoers leave their church every year. Most leave because of burn out or because they were hurt in someway by their church. Daily Word - Just because you can do it or it looks profitable or seems helpful doesn't mean you should do it. The time God has given you on earth is supposed to be filled with projects commissioned by God. Daily Word - Because we live in a world where people often get sick and sometimes die from those sicknesses, we are conditioned to accept being sick. However, sickness is not something we have to accept; we can choose not to be sick. This is important because sickness not only weakens your body, but your mind as well, which stops the faith you need to succeed in your calling. Links - Join, Partner

Open Forum - We discussed how we should not allow money to govern our decisions in terms of: your vision; whether you should set up an LLC or a non-profit; why it's not advisable to go into business with your boyfriend; when to "unmake" a promise; and other interesting topics. Daily Word - The vision that God has given to you requires faith to achieve. However, if you have people in your circle of influence who are casting doubt over your vision, either in words or actions, their unbelief will contaminate your faith. When this happens, your once strong faith becomes ineffective and your vision fails. You need to remove unbelieving people from your circle of influence in order to avoid this scenario, so you can achieve success in your vision and receive all the things for which you are believing in God for. Daily Word - Christians debate back and forth over tithing. If we are not careful, we can get confused by the barrage of scripture being thrown at each side of the argument. Even though tithing is highly contested, God placed the concept of tithing in the Bible for a reason — not for us to argue over it but to learn from it. In today's message, let's travel back into the Old Testament to learn about the three different types of tithes and discover their lessons for us believers under the new covenant of grace. Daily Word - Your way is any way that is planned and implemented without the counsel of God. Most times you have good intentions, because you are walking in God's calling for your life, so it seems like you are in God's will. However, no matter how great your intentions, your way can lead to unnecessary delays and collateral damage to your marriage, friendships, followers, finances, and/or health. Links - Join, Partner

Daily Word - Divine healing is not a reward for serving God or living a holy life. Instead, it is a basic benefit of every believer that is designed to be accessed instantly with your faith. However, if we just simply look around, we notice that some people receive divine healing quickly, for others it comes a bit slower, and for many healing doesn't come at all. Why is this the case? Daily Word - As you are implementing the vision God has given you, it can be tempting to believe that you need more time than you currently have to work on your calling. So you start stealing time from your family, friends, and other areas of your life, thinking that if you have more time, you are more likely to succeed in your calling. Daily Word - Stress is a by-product of a fear-filled mind. The bible tells us that fear produces torment, and that is exactly what stress is. It is tormenting your mind with thoughts of death and lack. However, the bible also tells that the antidote to stress produced by fear is love. Links - Join, Partner
