Chaz and AJ In The Morning

Chaz and AJ were joined by comedian Emily Siero this morning, who shared a story about her neighbor. The Tribe then continued to call in about the people they are not thankful for this time of year, with a heavy emphasis on energy companies.

Dr. Ron Clark was on with Chaz and AJ this morning to talk about the most common Thanksgiving injuries he sees in the E.R. (0:00) Lt. Jordan Brown with the Waterbury Fire Department, was on the phone with Chaz and AJ to talk about the rescue of a toddler who had their head stuck in a toilet. Plus, The Tribe continued to call in about the people they are not grateful for this season. (8:00) News 8's Mike Cerulli is an expert at getting out of talking about politics, so he was in this morning to help the Tribe with his methods for the Thanksgiving table. (19:47) Darren Monahan, a former prison guard at San Quentin, was on with Chaz and AJ to talk about the 5 years he spent there. During his time, he was in charge of the infamous "Fame Row," which housed Charles Manson and Richard Ramirez. (29:30) In Dumb Ass News, a valet in Cleveland took a $100,000 car for a joyride. Chaz and AJ invited Chef Gerry Iannaccone from Encore by Goodfellas in studio to help the Tribe with their Thanksgiving meals. Chef Gerry shared the recipe he uses to make stuffing in the restaurant, and Joe in Bridgeport claims to have the recipe for the best pumpkin bread.

In Dumb Ass News, Chaz and AJ were able to finalize a friendly wager that will pay off at the Toy Drive, between Seymour and Beacon Falls. Plus, Vince Berry's sweater was thoroughly roasted online by the Tribe. (0:00) A woman called 911 after an eagle dropped a cat through her windshield. Chaz and AJ had audio of the call, and took calls from the Tribe about their bird strike stories. (9:12) Martin Nolan was on the phone from Julien's Auctions, to recap the rock auction items Chaz and AJ were most interested in. Especially the safe that Tommy Lee and Pam Anderson's "tape" was taken out of. (28:20)

Chaz and AJ were happy to welcome Kevin Gagliard into the studio from Pepe's, who offered his opinions on a recent list of the 50 best rock bands of all time.

Chaz and AJ's Bad Idea Island banished a Super Bowl commercial that killed everyone's good mood at their watch parties, by talking about dead kids. (0:00) In Seymour, a card shop was tageted in a Pokemon card heist. The shop's owner, Dave Regalado, was on the phone with Chaz and AJ to talk about the cards that were taken, and might have wound up with a lead thanks to a call from a Tribe member. (5:47) In Dumb Ass News, a man in Detroit became a local news fan favorite for his viral reaction to a goat named Smoke. However, the reporter leading the story completely took the spotlight with his strange reporting technique. (9:08) Foreigner's Lou Gramm was on the phone with Chaz and AJ to talk about their show next month at the Toyota Oakdale Theater. Plus, the argument he and the band got into with Mutt Lange after he tried to make them sound like AC/DC. (17:20) In Dumb Ass News, a dog was responsible for a man taking a shotgun blast to the lower back, and 81 monkeys and meth were found by police. (32:40)

Chaz and AJ spoke with Lisa Dickal, an Animal Control Officer from Shelton about a dog that was found in a duffel bag in Derby over the weekend. There is a reward for information about the owner.

(0:00) Scot Haney was on the phone with Chaz and AJ to talk about all the wonderful visits from Tribe members, and the gourmet meal they enjoyed together after their first 12 hours in the box. Chaz and AJ began the countdown to the box, by remembering some past years of AJ in the box, alone. The first year, when he had to listen to Mason Ramsay, was particularly tough on him. Sheryl explained how she discovered the animal as a baby, alone and in trouble, and helped it to survive for months. Chaz and AJ replayed an interview with Vietnam veteran Art Wiknik, who survived the Battle of Hamburger Hill. Art survived the climb to the summit, despite being blinded, and lit on fire by a shot to the chest. (0:00) Chaz and AJ wanted to get some real, local stories from the Tribe. AJ began by sharing a story about his Uncle Anthony from World War 2. (12:18)More service stories from veterans, and about family members who have served. Next week, Chaz and Scot Haney will be in a box for 24 hours, listening to the same song on repeat. Scot was on the phone this morning as Chaz and AJ took calls from the Tribe for song suggestions, and ideas for things that could happen while they are in the box to help raise money for the Toy Drive.

During Dumb Ass News, Chaz and AJ had audio of an Uber driver losing their mind on passengers who asked to have the radio on. Uber Tim called in to share his stories of passengers that acted like morons. (0:00) Professor Ari Loeb was on the phone with Chaz and AJ this morning to talk about the mysterious comet in our solar systenm. The comet has not behaved like a normal comet, gaining speed, gaining mass, and leading many to think this could be a probe sent by aliens. (7:10) Commander Keith was in studio for his Top 5 list, which is the places he thinks the government can still save money. Plus, his firsthand experience from witnessing the plane exploding in Louisville. (18:14)

A week from today, Chaz and Scot Haney will begin their 24 hours in a box together. One of the last pieces to put in place, is the song that will play the entire time on an endless loop. The Tribe called in the songs they think will provide the most entertainment for everyone, except Chaz and Scot.

Chaz asked his wife, Jennifer to call in to talk about the incident that happened in the house last night. Audio was shared of the traumatic event, involving the death of the spider. Plus, National Saxophone Day was celebrated, as AJ's house was surrounded by some live saxophone music. Some Tribe members called in to share their stories of being scammed, while expressing a lot of sympathy for Joseph. To start the show this morning, Chaz and AJ put out a warning about the uptick of deer accidents since the clocks changed. The Tribe called in to share some of their stories involving accidents with deer, and to share tips on how to properly hit them (if needed.) Plus, the story of AJ's vehicle being impounded for not having a parking sticker. Ruth, her friend Kate, and Carlos Reis all toured the Ansonia Opera House. This year, Chaz and Scot Haney will be sharing 24 hours together in a tiny box for charity. The box will live at Crabtree Chevrolet and Lexus of New Haven from November 13th through the 14th, with Chaz and Scot inside the whole time! All donations will go to benefitting the Chaz and AJ Toy Drive in December.

Nancy from Long Island called Chaz and AJ for the very first time this morning, to share some info about Lassie. Several minutes into her call, we learned she had started her day with three shots of espresso. The Chaz and AJ Monster's Ball saw a costume winner that rivaled the Susan Lucci run of nominations before their first win. Lindsey was on the phone this morning to talk more about her $1,000 bat costume. (23:23) The rotary madness in West Hartford continues, as the town engineer has blamed drivers for his bad design. Plus, Debbie was on the phone this morning to talk about the viral cat video that landed her in third place on America's Funniest Home Videos. (29:40) Michael Bielawa was in studio for Chaz and AJ's Freak Week, talking about the most haunted places around the state of Connecticut. In the middle of his visit, Paul from Hamden called in to dump all over the segment with his opinions on ghosts. (44:18)
