Scripture: Romans 5:20-21; 6:1-17; Titus 2:11-13; John 10:1-5; 27-29; Colossians 1:21-23 Topic: Obedience Notes: - There’s more to the grace of God than saying “I’m saved.”- Gospel preaching has been diluted- It’s not just calling on the name of the Lord, but pursuing after Him; Our lives must change; how you live bespeaks who you serve- Satan will have you misapply the scriptures, which leads to misunderstanding and eventually violating the scriptures- Grace leads us to deny ungodliness- We start looking for Jesus to come back which makes us watch how we’re living- There’s a frustration in young couples in the church, especially those with children… “Is this my life?” Satan plants the desire to be free…- In our society we watch too much trashy television; we start to want what they have- If you want it, the devil will help you get it- A sheep knows his master’s voice, will not follow a stranger- How do I know I’m saved? Know Jesus’ voice.- The person who is hearing and following… cannot be snatched out of His hand- If saved, then when you sin it breaks your heart, you run back to Him are forgiven- It’s not where you go to church, but how you hear and obey- We’re too comfortable with sin; get down to business or you’re his next victim

Scripture: Romans 5:1-5 Topic: Grace Notes: - If it hasn’t happened to you yet, it will... a dark time spiritually depleted and numb- Panic and fear will make you wander... fear is brought into your life by Satan- Before you get to that valley, you need to know what He said about His faithfulness- Others have already been there and will be there again- Know that He cannot lie and will never leave or forsake you- Because of Jesus, God treats me as though I’ve never sinned- I don’t like the sun to go down, dark places; we will all experience a sunset some time- Stand in the grace of God and glory in tribulation, building perseverance- There’s not much hope in the idea that I might not make it even after He saved me- The same Jesus that found me and saved me will keep me and take me home- I’m not hopeful if it’s up to me to make it- I’ve changed my mind about God but God will not change His (about Israel or me)
