Hard Cotton? | Lowe key | Return engagements

Our Bill Kurelic and Mark Porter are here to wax poetic on the bowl game, talk Class of 2025 recruiting priorities and answer all the live viewer questions we can handle from You Tube, X and Facebook. Buckeyes to sign top-3 class | Where's the beef?
Ohio State will sign one of the top-3 recruiting classes in the country today and that is of course good news for the Buckeyes. However, are there enough quality linemen in the class? Speaking of quality linemen, the No. 4 DL in the nation, Amaris Williams, will announce his decision this afternoon. Will it be OSU or Auburn? Also, will the Buckeyes sign all of their commits, or might one of them (or more) flip to another program? Right before the show, news broke that Steve Wiltfong put in a Crystal Ball pick for Eddrick Houston to flip from OSU to Alabama. Not the news we wanted to hear to begin the day. Furthermore, the media is meeting with Ryan Day today at noon to discuss the Buckeyes' recruiting class and more. Dave Biddle flies solo on the Wednesday 5ish to talk Ohio State recruiting, the biggest topics we're curious to hear Day address and much more. Signing Day Eve | In or out? | Portal permutations
The clock is ticking ... like really ticking. National Signing Day is tomorrow. Will Ohio State secure signed commitments of Jeremiah Smith, Eddrick Houston, Jeremiah McClellan and the rest of the Class of 2024 commitments? Will there be spatualas involved ... good and bad? Will Ohio State secure transfer portal additions? Will the sky actually land on your head? Questions that need answers. Thankfully, we have Bill Kurelic and Mark Porter here. They're answer men. Monday morning quarterbacking | Flipping out?
It is a quarterback-themed version of the show as Dan Rubin joins Dave Biddle. What do we expect from Devin Brown in the Cotton Bowl against Missouri? Who do we think will be the Buckeyes' starting QB in 2024? Will it be Brown? Lincoln Kienholz? Air Noland? Might Ryan Day take another look in the portal for a quarterback if Brown (and/or Kienholz) does not play well in the bowl game? Also, former OSU quarterback Kyle McCord has landed at Syracuse. Are we surprised that a bigger program did not gobble up McCord, or does this seem about right? Also, are the Buckeyes about to see some of their 2024 commits get flipped to other programs? Or is there no fire to go along with that smoke? All of that and much more is coming your way on the Monday 5ish. It sure felt like the changing of the guard when quarterback Devin Brown was one of Ohio State's players that were made available to the media on Tuesday. Buckeyes earn No. 1 ranking in CFP | Missing Miyan
Ohio State earned the No. 1 spot in the first College Football Playoff rankings of the 2023 season on Tuesday. Is this just a fun thing for fans, or does it actually mean something that the Buckeyes received top billing? Also, it is football and injuries are going to happen. But the ailments are starting to pile up for Ohio State. Head coach Ryan Day revealed on Tuesday that running back Miyan Williams will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury. Also, Day did not appear to be confident that safety Lathan Ransom would be available anytime soon following a leg injury he suffered against Wisconsin last week. Furthermore, quarterback Kyle McCord continues to deal with an ankle ailment that he appeared to re-injure against the Badgers. The news is not all bad though on the injury front. Wide receiver Emeka Egbuka is expected to play this Saturday at Rutgers after missing the last three games. Also, backup quarterback Devin Brown – who is dealing with a high ankle sprain – was expected to return to practice on Tuesday (in limited fashion). On today’s show, Patrick Murphy joins Dave Biddle to discuss the Buckeyes being ranked No. 1 by the CFP committee, the latest on OSU’s injuries and much more. That is coming your way on the Wednesday 5ish. To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices.
