<p class="MsoNormal">This week’s audio of the week leads off the Shoot Around as a Wheel of Fortune contest went viral for guessing “Right in the Butt” on a toss-up. That spirals us into our all-time favorite viral videos, from “Sum Ting Wong” to the bug-in-the-mouth reporter. We also get Rob’s inside take on the Lakers coaching search and why it’s taking so long to hire a new coach. Plus as Steph Curry and his wife welcome their fourth child, Rob and Jenners share experiences of our kids’ births. It was also wild to see Travis Kelce get booed at the Western Conference Finals, and we find out if Rob is excited for Bad Boys and other films that deserved a sequel. And after Dolphins linebacker Jaelen Phillips found an iguana in his toilet we joke about Rob’s run-ins with wildlife.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Just like we all predicted, we’re on the verge of TWO series sweeps, as the Celtics sweep the Pacers out of the Eastern Conference Finals and punch their ticket to the Finals. Rob has coaching questions about how the Pacers chose not to foul down the line, and how that played out in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals. And with the Gobert mismatch in the WCF, B-Dog wants to know why they are so reluctant to move him to the bench. And Jenners would like everyone to slow down on the whole “best backcourt in NBA history” narrative surrounding Kyrie and Luka, because until they win a ring it’s a pretty invalid conversation. Rob wants to know if the league is freaking out at the possibility of having a solid week off between the end of the conference finals and the start of the Finals. We also reflect on the life of Bill Walton, friend of the show, and weigh in on Rich Paul saying LeBron was a free agent. We also look back on NBA history as just 22 years ago this week we had Robert Horry’s iconic “Big Shot” moment against the Kings, something he still gets chills about to this day. <p>We open the bonus show this week with a question on the minds of many Cleveland basketball fans... if you could choose, do you want to keep Darius Garland or Donovan Mitchell? Mike Malone was SALTY after the Nuggets got eliminated, we get Rob's walkout song if he could choose one, and we discuss Tyler Hansbrough's newfound love of pickleball, and in turn what sport besides basketball Rob could challenge someone to and win. We close with Jelly Roll, who admitted he only wears a pair of socks ONCE and throws them out, so we ask Rob what his most frivolous celebrity purchase was - Rob's Ferrari, and his blinged out Rolex!</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Here we go! Rob and the guys go deep into the Timberwolves pulling out a huge Game 7 victory in Denver, with amazing audio from Anthony Edwards and Karl Anthony-Towns. Rob takes a look at all the things the Wolves did right, how impressive Ant Man is at such a young age, and how that compares to when he felt comfortable in the NBA. And after Dallas eliminated OKC, Rob and B-Dog both think they need to stay young and find some difference makers, as Rob hopes they are able to hold their core together this time and not let them get away like their original Big 3. We also go big on the Eastern Conference Finals, now that the Pacers did away with the Knicks. Rob believes that Boston is just built too well for this series, and breaks down what the Pacers can do to try and hold on against the most well-rested team in the Playoffs. Sam Cassell is in the mix for the Lakers head coaching position and Rob debates whether or not he’d take Sam up on an offer to join the Lakers coaching staff. Plus after the Scottie Scheffler arrest, Rob talks about times he’s had a run-in with the cops. And we break down the Harrison Butker kerfuffle, give out a dope Big Shot of the Week, and round it out with another classic round of Walmart or Waffle House.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Reggie Miller made headlines this week and opens up our bonus show, as we debate who he was taking shots at when he talked about a “Mount Rushmore guy” who points fingers. We also try to figure out why the Knicks fans still hate Reggie 30 years later and where that comes from. A listener asks Rob what has happened to Jrue Holiday (after his lack of scoring the postseason) and after Malik Monk got a Rolex from a teammate we ask Rob what was the best gift he got from a teammate. We also learn that Rob is a really good poker player, and Rob lays down exactly how the Lakers would operate if he were to take the reins. And after Dana White got a FedEx driver fired on accident we find out that Rob might have gotten a waiter fired, plus Pat Bev’s suspension has us talking about how much Rob’s shove of Steve Nash really cost him.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">After Rob’s trip to Atlanta last week, we go over the stuff that happened while he was on the road – and how surprised some of us were that Jamal Murray didn’t get suspended for his heat-pad toss. It’s also wild to see the Timberwolves playing with way less effort and enthusiasm with Rudy Gobert in the line-up, proving to Rob and B-Dog that he should not have been Defensive Player of the Year. We also take a quick look at Shaq’s feud with Shannon Sharpe after it got super personal, and how we love the Big Fella but he needs to have thicker skin. The Knicks and Pacers series has been officiated very poorly according to Rob, and he knew it would happen because the Knicks are worn out and the league is doing them a favor. And as all good teams do, the Celtics held the Cavs off and it looks like curtains for Cleveland. Will JJ Redick be the next Lakers coach? Rob says would retire from Spectrum if he was, and compares it (though B-Dog feels unfairly) to Steve Nash’s time as the Nets head coach. Rob says he would definitely take the gig if it were offered to him, but only if he could pick his coaching staff, because he feels like that makes all the difference. Ultimately Ty Lue is the big winner, because he’ll get caught in a bidding war between the Lakers and Clippers. Plus the Hawks win the draft lottery in a year where there is no high profile talent on the board, because that’s Atlanta, we have some amazing audio of the week from Luka’s postgame press conference (where is sounds like someone was watching something dirty), offer up an inspiring Big Shot of the Week, and play another fun round of Shot Clock!</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">A really fun bonus show kicks off the weekend with the amazing Brady roast – which Tom Brady immediately regretted – Rob tells us the story about getting committed to judging a pregnant bikini contest. And after a member of the Padres AAA affiliate found out he was getting traded while standing on second base, we ask Rob where he was when he found out he got traded to the Suns for Charles Barkley. Plus did a new sandwich cutting style on the Internet change the game forever? Nope, because Rob is a crazy man who does not cut his sandwiches at all. We also talk about the unfortunate case of Lonzo Ball, who just picked up his huge option with the Bulls despite having not played for the last two years. We also nerd out by calling in our four favorite X-Men to save our butts in a fight, and dive into the WILD story about Vladimir Putin stealing Robert Kraft’s Super Bowl ring!</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">There is SO much to get into on this week’s show – and we start with the Timberwolves, as Minnesota shocks the world by taking the first two games in Denver… but not Robert Horry! Rob aw the flaws in the Denver bench during the Lakers series. And somehow the Timberwolves were better without Rudy Gobert, Trae Young saying Ant Man should have been an Atlanta Hawk, and whether Jamal Murray will get suspended for throwing the heat pad on the floor in Game 2. We throw some love to Josh Hart for his exceptional play as the Knicks take Game 1 against the Pacers, even though Rob is still rolling with the Pacers to win the series. And the Clippers burn Jenners again, as they dip out in the first round to the Mavericks and we deep dive into the money owed to that roster and whether Paul George stays in LA. We also get Rob’s take on Darvin Ham and the Lakers entire coaching staff being shown the door, and even though it’s LeBron’s 6<sup>th</sup> coach to be let go, Rob doesn’t think it’s a LeBron issue and sees him getting an extension in LA. And everyone has words for Pat Bev after the insane drama of throwing a ball into the stands, insulting a female ESPN reporter because she didn’t subscribe to her podcast, and what this means for his future beyond the NBA. Plus we debate whether the Suns will trade Devin Booker, give out an inspiring Big Shot of the Week to a Buffalo firefighter who saved a dog’s life, and play another classic round of Black Crime or White Crime.</p>

We were all stunned to learn that Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson is going to be a REAL fight, and wonder what will prevail - Tyson's power and experience, or Jake Paul's stamina. And after Stallone and Arnold did their sit down interview, we debate our favorite action heroes of all time. And after Jenners' daughter accidentally watched the new Deadpool trailer, we talk about the things we watched as kids that we knew were inappropriate.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">We roll into this week’s show with LeBron flinching on a woman in the front row of the Nuggets-Lakers Game 5, and how Rob felt about the Lakers performance as they were eliminated in the first round. Rob thinks Denver is vulnerable as they prepare to take on the high-powered Timberwolves, and while Rob picks Minnesota to win and advance, B-Dog thinks Denver will show the championship pedigree and find a way to win. Plus we debate about whether LeBron played his final game as a Laker – and while Rob says no, he does think the Lakers move on from Darvin Ham. The wild Suns payroll has our heads spinning as rumors circulate about them moving on from Frank Vogel, and we all discuss how Kyrie and Harden have both been exceptional in the Clippers-Mavericks series. We also get into Joel Embiid’s dirty play against the Knicks, and from there a debate about whether Embiid is a dirty player across his career. And we dive head first into the NFL Draft with a debate about whether the Falcons were wise or stupid to draft Michael Penix Jr after signing Kirk Cousins in the offseason – and amazing Draft audio from Xavier Leggette and Keon Coleman who both set the Internet on fire this week. We close out with Reggie getting his Heisman back, audio of the week from Charles Barkley as he took on the city of Galveston Texas, a Big Shot of the Week to a couple of barbers who saved a young girl’s life, and an eye-opening NBA game called Salary Cap.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The NBA Playoffs always bring back memories for Rob as we kick off this week’s bonus show. We also get into Jim Harbough’s Michigan tattoo, and ask Rob if there was ever a tattoo promise on any team he played for… and he says if the Lakers had gone 16-0 in the playoffs they probably would have gotten a tattoo. We also kick around the anonymous poll of NBA players, where they crowned the most overrated players in the league, topped out by Rudy Gobert, Jordan Poole and Trae Young… and a few others that just seem like players hating on them, like Harden, Randle and Tatum. And Bovada’s random and terrible list of the Top NBA Champions of all time gets Rob all riled up, and the debate rages as Rob defends his teams that didn’t make the list. We also joke that this is the type of draft that will get someone fired, but Rob disagrees because there is so little talent on the board that everyone will earn a pass this year. Plus Jason Kelce lost his Super Bowl ring in a chili scavenger hunt, which spawns the question about the worst thing Rob ever lost, and we gauge everyone’s excitement level now that the new Deadpool and Wolverine trailer has dropped.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">We go BIG on the NBA Playoffs this week, especially after Rob had to work the Lakers-Nuggets Game 2 where the Lakers blew a 20-point lead. Rob says Jamal Murray is going to continue to be a problem for the Lakers, as his averages against LA are way up from the regular season, and we all question the game plan down the stretch and how the team mentality changed. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>We also break down the wild end to the Knicks game as they go up 2-0 against the 76ers, Zion Williamson’s unfortunately timed hamstring injury, and how good the Clippers looked in Game 1 of their series against the Mavericks. There are also flowers for Dame Lillard and Anthony Edwards, both who went OFF in their individual games, and we especially look into the dominance of Ant-Man in a huge spot. We also get Rob’s thoughts on Anthony Davis saying “the league doesn’t like me” after another Defensive Player of the Year snub, and while Rob thinks he has a point he also thinks the award has been a joke since the they gave it to Marc Gasol. Plus Jontay Porter’s lifetime fine and what it means for the future of sports betting, Caitlin Clark’s run-in with an unintentionally creepy reporter, and the debate about whether Jags GM Trent Baalke farted during a press conference this week! And we close it out with a viral video Big Shot of the Week where good Samaritans saved a man from a burning vehicle in Minnesota, and a fun new game called Tip Drill where Harp and Rob play hot potato with trivia questions.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The bonus show opens with the Allen Iverson statue controversy coming out of Philadelphia, after the Internet turned on the 76ers for unveiling a very small statue for Allen Iverson… but context matters, because every Philly legend has the same small statue outside the practice facility. Plus Kevin Durant talks about staying healthy this season by avoiding “floppers and crash dummies,” guys that Rob used to call “fake hustle” guys. We even dive into how much fun WrestleMania was this year, from guys that are NOT wrestling fans and really enjoyed it. And Rob weighs in on the Scottie Scheffler dilemma, as his wife was pregnant with their first child while he was leading the Masters, and he said he’d walk off the course if his wife went into labor… and Rob says he would leave any event, but Jenners contends that guys don’t have much to contribute during delivery. Plus, after the passing of OJ Simpson last week, Rob recounts what it was like playing in the NBA Finals the night of the OJ Simpson Bronco chase. And we close things out by talking about the 20 instances of guys scoring more than 50 in a game this season, and the final debate about who gets our MVP votes now that the regular season is over.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">It’s a full NBA Playoff Preview on this week’s show, and we open things up with Mike Greenberg’s comments about the Lakers “tanking” the play-in game so they can try to get the #8 seed to face OKC instead of taking the #7 seed and facing Denver… and Rob AGREES with him! We debate the merit of playing the tougher teams early instead of late, and dive deep into all the play-in games and first round matchups. Rob says that the Thunder are young, but they are NOT ready, and thinks the 8 seed in the West will<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>have a legit shot to knock them out in the first round. And Rob and B-Dog debate the merit of Rudy Gobert in the playoffs, how entertaining the Clippers-Mavericks series will be, and what will happen to the Bucks without Giannis in the opening round. We also throw some props to Victor Wembanyama and take an eye-opening look at Caitlin Clark’s rookie deal with the WNBA. Plus some amazing audio from Boban’s missed free throw that won Clippers fans free chicken, and a fun new game called “Imposter” where Rob and B have to sniff out the NBA player that does not belong in the category.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">We are loaded for the bonus show this week, and we start with former Warriors GM Bob Myers who somehow couldn’t find the leak of the Draymond Green vs Jordan Poole fight. Even though the team keeps track of everyone in and out of practice, Rob thinks it must have been hacked or buried on purpose. We also dive into some listener questions about whether the Bucks are regretting their hire of Doc Rivers, what has happened to the once great sports city of Oakland now that the A’s are going to Sacramento for a few seasons, what would happen to the Bulls if Billy Donovan takes the Kentucky. Rob also weighs in on last week’s bad look for the Dodgers, after the way they handled the young woman who caught Shohei Ohtani’s first home run in LA and they all but threatened her to give up the ball for far less than it was worth. And after the New York earthquake last week, Rob and the crew reflect on some of the wildest natural disasters that we’ve lived through.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">We’re a day late this week because Rob had to have a colonoscopy, which leads to some weird and funny observations about going to the doctor. We also ask Rob if he thinks the Lakers have turned their back on Darvin Ham, and Rob says seeing guys walk out of the huddle is very normal in the NBA because guys know the play that the coach is drawing up. Props go out to UConn for bringing home their second straight National Championship – and specifically to Rob’s friend Dawn Staley for leading South Carolina to a women’s title and completing the unbeaten season. We also feature some of Dawn Staley’s post game audio, as she had a class move in recognizing Caitlin Clark. And we all contemplate if <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>the buzz from the women’s tournament will carry over to the WNBA this season. Rob also talks about how much the “one-and-done” killing the storylines in the men’s game, and we all think that Bronny James declaring for the Draft is more of a portal move, and he’ll likely stay in college but move to a new program. Plus we debate whether Paul Pierce is drinking again on TV, thinking the Lakers would trade LeBron for Spida – but we do wonder what the Cavs are going to do with Donovan Mitchell… could he work in San Antonio with Wemby? A cool Big Shot of the Week gets us into some eclipse talk, and it’s a History Making Edition of the High/Low game!</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">We open up the bonus show this week by looking at the sale of Kobe's championship ring at auction, which set a record, and Jenners did not realize that they gave every winner two rings for winning a title. And a listener question asks if the Lakers need a third star this offseason and Rob jokes that if the guys, they have plays to their potential they won't need one. We also throw some love to Isaiah Thomas for getting another 10-day with the Suns, debate whether Jokic should be okay to sit out as opposed to playing through small injuries, and joke about the squatters that are apparently ruining LeBron's neighborhood in Beverly Hills. Rob also weighs in on "foul hunters" and disagrees that Jalen Brunson falls into that group. but agrees that there are other guys that do.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Rob was in the building to see Alabama knock off North Carolina and advance to the Final Four, and the crew talks about the DJ Burns phenomenon at NC State, the Iowa-LSU game on the women’s side, and Zach Edey’s controversial comments after Purdue advanced to the Final Four. We also get into the LeBron James comments that his career is reaching its end, largely because that wasn’t breaking news, but Rob looks at it from the perspective of a former player who was worn down from the mental and physical grind of playing in the league. Jenners also has to eat some crow after Anthony Davis has reached 70 games started, and we play some audio of the funniest April Fool’s prank on an unassuming mom! Plus Joel Embiid’s possible return this week could be a turning point for the Sixers, what Draymond Green has done to the Warriors dynasty, and Paul George’s future in LA or elsewhere. We also give out one of the best Big Shots of the Week we’ve heard in ages, and Rob and B-Dog face off in another classic round of Black Crime or White Crime!</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Rob wants to know how B-Dog treats his beard as we open the bonus show this week. We also take a minute to recognize Opening Day as the national holiday it deserves to be, and we ask Rob how important it really is for players to play in a city they love as we reflect on the failure of the Nets to attract star players. Plus Rob reminds Mike Greenberg and everyone listening that NO college team at level could even attempt to compete with pro teams. And Kendrick Perkins saying he’d ride with Brunson over all other point guards spurs a debate about what point guard we would want to run with into the postseason. Paul Pierce also brings a debate to the show as he said that Steph’s influence on the NBA was greater than Jordan or Magic’s. And we close it out with a Start-Bench-Cut between Draymond, Pat Bev and Bobby Portis.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Rob is going to see Alabama take on North Carolina in the Sweet Sixteen in LA this week, as Rob hopes to see his Tide avenge his last college basketball loss which came at the hands of UNC. Plus the tournament talk launches us into a debate about the merits of the transfer portal, in both basketball and football, and how bad the NCAA has been about regulation. And even though Kentucky continues to be a relevant brand, Harper wants to know how long it will be before they move on from John Calipari. We also dive deep in to the Western Conference standings, and how the Warriors need to keep an eye on the Rockets regardless of how Draymond Green seems to feel. And Boston’s disappointing performance against the Hawks (blowing a 30 point lead) didn’t really change anyone’s opinion that the Celtics are the team to beat in the East. There’s also some hilarious audio from Bol Bol, who accused the refs of “d*** riding” for Victor Wembanyama and doesn’t even catch a tech! And with Houston being on a hot streak, Jenners is surprised by the story that the Rockets tried to move him to the Nets for Mikal Bridges. The Big Shot of the Week goes to Travis Hunter who bought his mom a “nice ass house” – followed by a debate about how many bathrooms a house SHOULD have! And we close it out with a classic round of Shootout!</p>

Draymond Green thinks Victor Wembenyama is already a Top 20 payer in the league, which leads Rob and B-Dog to discuss how San Antonio can make the most of him while they have him. We close out with the Evan Fournier fine, which Rob says is normal as soon as an object is hurled into the stands, and after Paul Pierce was robbed this week, Rob shares his story about being burgled.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Robert Horry opens the show this week by talking about his dislike for coffee, the cool special needs event he was privileged to attend this week, and the upcoming interview he has with his son Christian now that he’s committed to UCLA. We also talk about the Jalen Johnson dunk on Austin Reaves, and the dunk of the year, as Anthony Edwards postered John Collins in epic fashion this week. That spins into a conversation about Ant Man’s upside, what Rob expects to see from him in the coming years, and how good the Pelicans have been now that Zion Williamson has returned to his #1 pick form. And as we discuss how Stephen A Smith had to walk-back his take on Zion, we also get into Mad Dog Russo’s ridiculous take that Jokic is better than Shaq, and how mainstream sports media leans so heavily on gimmicks. Kyrie Irving’s WILD game winner over the weekend puts us back in a positive mindset when it comes to Kyrie, largely because the off-court noise has been at a minimum since he arrived in Dallas. We also address one of the big questions of the week – is DeMar DeRozan a Hall of Famer? Rob says yes, B-Dog says no, and the HOF conversation spins out from there. And after Rudy Gobert caught a $100K fine for flashing the money sign at the refs, we wonder why there has been such a lack of consistency with fines among players and coaches this year. And following Jason Kelce’s emotional retirement speech, we ask Rob if he’s ever had to make a big speech… and did he actually officially retire from the NBA? We close it out with Chris Paul, who said he thinks he’ll win a title before his career is over, we debate whether or not that will actually happen.</p>

This video has since popped off on YouTube, and Clayton talks why he made it, why he loves hoops, and why he chose to put the spotlight on Rob’s career. We also joke about stories that Clayton uncovered about Rob, how Tim Duncan used to tease him, and how none of our moms approved of our choices. Clayton sticks around for the rest of the show, as we dive into LeBron eclipsing the 40,000 point mark, why Caitlyn Clark would go to the WNBA over the NIL money she’ll get in college, Darvin Ham’s future with the Lakers and our individual MVP candidates. Plus Rob pulled some click bait headlines this week, we offer up a really great Big Shot of the Week to the cops who saved an autistic girl from a Florida swamp, and play a hilarious round of Walmart or Waffle House with Clayton!</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">So how many people got married on Leap Day yesterday? Rob thinks it’s a masterful move so you only have to celebrate your anniversary once every four years! Plus lots more NBA stuff, including audio of Draymond Green and his disappointment about Ant Man goofing off in the All-Star Game, but Rob’s point is that everyone goofed off in the All-Star Game. That also spins us into a discussion about the young faces of the league going forward. We also have a laugh about Shaq’s memories of Dennis Rodman saying he smelled like “Garbage Truck Water” – and Rob says that Shaq actually left something out… not only would he not shower after games, but he’d work out too. Plus our listener questions for the week include whether Kevin Durant finish his career in Phoenix, the way Durant handled a loud-mouthed fan, and MLB’s new see-through uniform pants. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>And the audio of the week is hands down Kenyon Martin DESTROYING George Karl on Gilbert’s show, wow!</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Rob’s YouTube tribute from a fan kicks things off this week, and it’s really well done even though Rob doesn’t know the guy who put it together. And of course we get right into Monty Williams killing the refs after the end of the Pistons-Knicks game, and we all discuss just how big of an issue the bad calls and questionable refereeing has been this season. Rob feels like there are too many new rules in the NBA for these refs to keep up with and it causes more problems than it should. We also take a look at the Heat-Pelicans fight, as Jimmy set the fuse and that whole game fell apart at the end. And LeBron had the media sideways this week after telling the media to “back off” Bronny and let him be a kid, even though he was the one who posted on social media that Bronny could play in the league right now. That also spirals into a conversation about the expectations that the children of pro athletes have to face as they try to make their own way, something Rob has to deal with in regards to his son Christian. Court storming is also a lightning rod of the week after Kyle Filipowski got hurt when Wake Forest fans stormed the court, and Rob wishes it wasn’t a thing, while we disagree because it’s a true sports tradition. And another one of Stephen A’s rants about Zion’s weight catches a stray from Stephon Marbury and Rob has thoughts. Plus the new Clippers logo feels too “high-brow” for the NBA, a really cool Big Shot of the Week to the NY Transit Authority Police, and another fun game about real businesses and fake businesses called “The Next Big Thing”.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Somehow the bonus show kicks off with a discussion about Girl Scout Cookies and which ones torture us more than others. Plus Jenners has a list of NBA stars that have scored the most points without logging any assists, and while Kobe was on this list, Rob says he never had that issue with Kobe because Kobe was always looking for him. Also, listener questions this week include the Bucks terrible record under Doc Rivers (and how long he can last if it continues), has Rob ever been postered by a signature dunker, and who agrees with Barkley that Kevin Durant is a follower and not a leader. And we close things out with our most recent show recommendations, including Stranger Things, You and the newest installment of True Detective.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">We open up this week with the news that Rob’s son Christian is committed to UCLA! Rob is thrilled because it’s where he wanted to play and it’s a great school, even though there’s an allure to play at USC because his mom’s and alumni and Bronny is there. Plus everyone piles on the All-Star Game after a very poor showing by the NBA’s best players – after no one tried, they tossed up ridiculous three-point shots, and Rob says the only solution is to scrap the game entirely and do something new. And Rob wants to see more of the women’s players involved in the All-Star festivities because it will keep the weekend in the spirit of fun and inclusion. LeBron to the Warriors was the story of the week that wasn’t actually a story, as Rob says he doesn’t see any road where LeBron actually leaves LA before he retires. And Rob’s best friend Ty Lue saying he wants to kick the refs earned him a $35K fine, along with the Nets dismissing Jaques Vaughn as Brooklyn remains in purgatory. The Big Shot of the Week goes to a South Bend police officer who saved a dog who had its snout zip-tied shut, and a hilarious round of Black Crime or White Crime during Black History Month!</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">We tip off the Shoot Around this week by looking at the Obi Toppin dunk fail against the Knicks, which spins us into a conversation about how we fail trying to show off… and it always seems involve trying to impress a girl. Rob is asked who is to blame for the Duncan Robinson-Jaylen Brown fight over the weekend, because it got ugly quickly, and Rob thinks it was a freak accident but didn’t like the angle of how Robinson’s arm went back. We also get listener questions about when we are willing to admit the Warriors dynasty is over, what cities are the best to host events like this weekend’s NBA All-Star game, break-up protocol after Marcus Jordan and Larsa Pippen have apparently split, and how excited we are for the Deadpool & Wolverine movie.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">It’s a huge Super Bowl after show for the guys, as we talk about Beyonce, Patrick Mahomes, and a huge debate breaks out about the definition of a “dynasty” in sports. Plus B-Dog believes Patrick Mahomes is the greatest quarterback of all-time after that win, which the Robs don’t agree with due to his young age, but everyone does agree that Usher killed it at the halftime show performance. And we laugh at the fact that neither team understood the new overtime rules, and B-Dog has a bone to pick with Kyle Shannahan. Oh yeah, and we actually talk basketball on the show, as Rob does NOT like the addition of Spencer Dinwiddie to the Lakers because he can’t figure out how they’re going to use him. We also jump into some of the bigger splash moves from the trade deadline, the buzz about Trae Young’s future in Atlanta, and how much Rob enjoyed the unveiling of the Kobe statue and where the three statues will go. The LA Fire Department gets our Big Shot of the Week for a daring river rescue, and with Valentine’s Day this week we play a game called “Heart Broken” about the biggest losses sports fans have ever suffered.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">We open the bonus show this week by looking at the players that have already been eliminated from season awards due to the new rules. And Rob uses the opportunity of Embiid’s injury to make a case for Jayson Tatum, while B-Dog throws his support behind Anthony Edwards. LeBron also gave a bunch of advice for the “younger generation” and Rob says<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>he’s offered the same advice before also – and adds that staying in college with NIL is better than the G-League, and also learn to interact with the media. Another listener question brings up a debate about coaches (like Doc Rivers) that shouldn’t get another shot to coach, and within that question we debate the value of “coaching trees”. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Rob also regrets not taking a free Super Bowl ticket after finding out the walk-in price for a ticket, and we close with the Kentucky player who kisses the Tennessee player in the middle of an on-court skirmish.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Rob is getting hammered with rain in Southern California and is afraid of having to dodge falling rocks and mudslides in the unprecedented Cali weather. Plus Rob weighs in on the loss of Vanderbilt for the Lakers, and how their bench seems to find ways to step up on nights when LeBron and AD are out of the starting lineup. And Rob has some laughs about LeBron raising everyone’s eyebrows with the Knicks towel and social media shenanigans this week. The loss of Joel Embiid will clearly hurt Philly, but Rob thinks they are going to take a big step back because of their upcoming schedule. We also dive into the fact that we’ve been sleeping on the Cavaliers, why Rob turned down a FREE ticket to the Super Bowl, and why he hasn’t capitalized on knowing Usher’s manager to both bet on the Halftime Show and also get him on this podcast. A really inspiring Big Shot of the Week all the way from the UK, and we see if Rob and B-Dog can remember where iconic NBA superstars ended their careers.</p>

Big Chris asks Rob, would you rather win a bunch of titles for one team, or would you rather win a title with every different team you play for? Rob wants the dynasty of winning in multiple cities. Plus Snoop's Top 5 active players, what moves Rob wants to see by the deadline whether its Dejounte Murray or Kyle Lowry, and why Rob is irrationally terrified of small private planes.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Rob and the crew are back, and immediately try to figure out why the Bucks fired Adrian Griffin and why they chose to retread Doc Rivers as their next head coach – and Rob thinks that there was more happening behind the scenes than anyone knows. And after Luka hung 73 on the Hawks, we go deep on the lack of NBA defense over the last decade, with some stats that are eye opening for NBA fans. Plus we talk to Georgia Tech basketball head coach and NBA legend Damon Stoudamire, who lays out stories about playing against Rob, the guys he used to hate facing in the league, the state of today’s game, and what drew him back to college basketball. And like almost every NBA star we have on the show, he can name every player drafted ahead of him! Of course we jump into the wild NFL playoff weekend, hand out an inspiring Big Shot of the Week, and wrap things up with a little round of NBA high/low!</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">We open the Shoot Around this week by diving into the Kelly Stafford drama coming out of the Lions-Rams game a couple of weeks ago, as she claims her children were booed by Lions fans... and Rob says he had that talk with his kids a long time ago because it's part of his profession. We also answer a listener question about how much we talk to ourselves, and we both confess that we do so more in the car than anywhere else. Jay Gruden vs RGIII brings up the topic of Rob's long standing beefs, our final meals if we were on death row, and how long the hot water lasts in our house after the story about the Chiefs claiming the Bills turned off their hot water.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Rob and Rob open the show this week by talking about Joel Embiid going off for 70 points, and KAT putting up 62 in a losing effort and becoming an afterthought. We’re also joined by an NBA legend in Dominique Wilkins who talks about the state of the Hawks, the reality of seeing your statue outside the arena you played in, the evolution of the NBA game today and specifically the lack of defense. Nique also jokes with Rob about the days they used to face off, how he feels like all the guys who made the 75<sup>th</sup> team should be in the GOAT conversation, guys who shoot too many threes and the games he used to cook Robert Horry! Rob also talks about the trade rumors around Dejounte Murray and how that affects the way he plays. Plus we get into the NFL Playoffs, recapping a wild division round weekend, the Bills kicker, Jason Kelce stealing the spotlight from Taylor Swift and who we think plays for a Super Bowl. The post-game presser uncovers that Rob lived in a college dorm that DIDN’T allow girls, a dilemma about a teammate’s girlfriend being promiscuous, Victor Wenbanyama’s bedtime and movies they’ve made too many of.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">It’s the weekly bonus show, and we open with a question about our favorite songs, and as that’s a tough one to answer we talk about our favorite artists and the moods that call for them. We also dive into a list of the statistically best players in the league, bringing up a huge debate about how guys are graded and ranked as compared to how they are actually producing on the floor. Rob also weighs in on Wizards guard Ryan Rollins who got caught stealing candles, food and body wash from Target – and it prompts the question, have you ever been caught stealing? Plus the most disappointing player on every roster gets us deep into debate, especially around Jrue Holiday’s inclusion on this list. And Rudy Gobert airballing free throws and getting mocked by Westbrook and the Clippers, leads us to wonder if Rob ever struggled with free throws.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Rob’s son Christian had a huge weekend tournament but missed his “Big Shot” moment, with a smile on his face he joked about it with the media. We also jump right into the Nick Saban retirement news with Alabama alumni Robert Horry, who says he was shocked to see the legend move on. And every coach that got a raise due to the threat of becoming Saban’s replacement owes Nick a bottle of champagne! Plus we get Rob’s take on Austin Reeves being a possible trade option for Dejounte Murray, a move he’s not that excited about. And we haven’t had a better rant than Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic, who called out the NBA referees for “a complete crap” of a game against the Lakers, and enjoyed the hell out of Mike Brown bringing highlights to the post-game presser. Dwyane Wade’s state going up in Miami prompts a conversation about other superstars that deserve a statue that hasn’t gotten one yet. And the conversation about Bill Belichick leaving New England poses the question about whether he was only great because of Tom Brady. Big Shot of the Week goes to an amazing couple feeding the Austin, Texas community, and we close it out with a hilarious round of Rapid Fire!</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">It’s a huge round of Buy or Sell on the clickbait headlines of the week – including how Rob feels about Joel Embiid’s scoring prowess, LeBron no longer being a Top 10 player, the Clippers winning a title, Luca’s game, the end of the Warrior dynasty, Chet’s Rookie of the Year campaign and Donovan Mitchell wanting out of Cleveland. We also answer listener questions about Pat Bev advocating for more old school trash talk in the NBA, and Rob says never felt baited by trash talk because it was such a common element of the game when he played. Lamar Odom is also pushing for the Lakers to implement the triangle offense, and even though Rob played in that system in LA, he says it takes special players to buy into that format and have it work. And we close it up with old school movies that hold up today, and the man who skinny dipped in a Bass Pro Shops fish tank prompts us to discuss stores that we just don’t get.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Rob opens the show with genuine surprise that the Lakers beat the Clippers, which launches the entire show into a debate about the current status of the Lakers. Plus where do Rob and B-Dog fall in on the criticism surrounding Davin Ham, the Lakers trying to make moves at the deadline, and George Karl blaming AD for the Lakers’ shortcomings this season. And with Draymond Green making his return to the floor, Jenners and B-Dog both lay into him over his retirement sob story to Adam Silver, because this is very much a situation of his own making. B-Dog covers the Hawks for our station in Atlanta and says it’s about to be a fire sale, with the exception of Trae Young and Jalen Johnson Jr. We also send some congratulations to our buddy Shaq for having his jersey retired in Orlando, give up another Big Shot of the Week to Mark Cuban for bonusing all his employees, and Rob and B-Dog square up in another classic round of Shot Clock.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">We celebrated the Detroit Pistons snapping their record-setting 29-game losing streak, by discussing things we are not very good at or just never win at… and the front runners are Monopoly, Madden and Fantasy Football. Plus Draymond Green made headlines for attending LeBron’s birthday party – but does it matter that he’s currently suspended? This also leads Rob to talk about the celebrities that threw the best birthday parties, and he shares a story about crashing Vin Diesel’s birthday party in Miami. And ESPN is in trouble for airing a woman flashing her boobs during a shot from Bourbon Street during the Sugar Bowl, so Rob shares his experience at Mardi Gras and talks about other events he wants to attend in his lifetime. And with Jokic saying he wants to be left alone and become “unknown” when his career is over because he hates the attention, we ask Rob if he can relate or has any stories about being baited by the public. Finally Rob has not heard of the Gypsy Rose Blanchard story, which blows everyone’s mind, and we talk about New Year’s Resolutions we set and then end up dodging as we start 2024.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">We’re back for a big 2024!! Rob spent the New Year in Portland, watching his son battle in a tournament, and of course both Rob and B-Dog on the woes of the Lakers line-up. Plus Rob weighs in on the Lakers possibly making a move for Dejounte Murray out of Atlanta, but isn’t sure the Lakers are willing to part with the players and picks needed to get him. We also take a look at the standings as we hit the 2024 half of the season, including how good the Thunder have been and what setbacks the All-Star packed Suns have faced. And we never miss an opportunity to pick on Rob after the Alabama Crimson Tide lost the College Football Playoff in terrible fashion… even though Georgia showed the country they were clearly the best team in the country and should have been playing in these games. Plus Ja’s “gunshot” celebration, the MVP ladder that is shockingly missing Anthony Edwards, an inspiring Big Shot of the Week from England, and a hilarious edition of Walmart or Waffle House!</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">We open the show this week with Ja Morant’s return to the NBA. Rob is really happy to see him back and we all loved the cinematic ending to win the game in his first game back, but the Grizzlies have a mountain to climb in the West. Plus, does the Spurs horrible record affect Wemby’s shot at Rookie of the Year? Especially considering how good Chet Holmgren has been playing as the Thunder continue to roll in the West. And of course we get deep into Draymond’s latest suspension, which screams of a much bigger problem for the Warriors. Rob thinks he will need to address his “on-court aggression” otherwise he may end up hurting his team and it will become a reflection on Steve Kerr’s coaching. Speaking of coaching, we also try to figure out why Ime Udoka is pouring fuel on the Dillon Brooks fire in Houston as opposed to finding a way to grab the reigns and teach this young team the right way to play. B-Dog also has a mixed reaction to the Lakers hanging an In-Season Tournament banner, as everyone believes that it’s nice to celebrate but feels “less than” every other banner in the rafters in Los Angeles. And with all the media buzz around Ant Man saying he wants to “cook LeBron”, Rob feels that is the right attitude to have, and he shouldn’t be dragged for wanting to face off against the best player on the floor. We also give our predictions for the College Football Playoff and who we think will be playing for a title when we return from the break. Shaquille O’Neal gets our Big Shot of the Week for FILLING a gym with gifts for Atlanta kids in need. And we round it out with a hilarious Christmas-themed edition of Black Crime or White Crime. Rob also informs us that the Lakers plan to hang a banner for the In-Season Tournament and we CANNOT believe it! We’re also stoked to see Bronny finally hit the court with some confidence after a scary situation with his heart, and Rob has an earnest conversation about Zion Williamson’s weight and how it can affect his health down the line after seeing him up close in Vegas. Tyrese Haliburton can also name all the players drafted ahead of him and so can Robert Horry! Plus Rob doesn’t agree with the Shohei Ohtani contract deferment, largely because he would NEVER do it. We give out a really cool Big Shot of the Week, and close out the show with a funny round of “Loaded Questions” – which include Rob’s favorite breakfast, why Rob hates cleaning bathrooms, everyone’s porn name, and jumping wolf spiders.</p>
