On this edition of Wrestlecorner we go over the 3 big wrestling events of the summer. NJPW- G1 Climax 27, NXT Takerover Brooklyn III and Summerslam.

We talk about have a full on run down of the NFL season, we talk Zeke, the Thomas-Irving trade and of course Floyd vs. Conor. (We apologize for the quality of the episode, we had a tough time recording)

We take our third tour of Yoshiaki Kawajiri here on 3Blackgeeks, this time with a classic among otaku. For what reasons its a classic is...because it was shown on Showtime and Sci Fi in 90's that's why. We talk about "The Glow", monsters, Kawajiri repeating designs, plot armor, a racist af voice over and a one hit kill!

Well this film turned out to be entertaining. There was so much that this movie could've did to shoot itself in the foot with the premise. The movie ultimately ends up working as an action comedy. Ryan Reynolds and Sam Jackson work well together, Salma Hayek is the real MVP of the movie, and Gary Oldman acts his ass off as the main bad guy. Only downside to the film is that the tone ends up being all over the place. One minute its an action comedy romp then the film gets serious out of nowhere which tends to take you out the movie for a minute. Overall its a fun watch. 3BG rating: 3.5 out of 5

CJ and PrimeGundam talk about all the comic book and movie news coming out of SDCC 2017 and get into the happenings in the comic world of DC and Marvel.

Deadzone, Bojack Unbound and Broly the Second Coming...all three represent stages in the evolution of Gohan on Dragonball Z. We talk about Piccolo ready to run them hands, Bojack sucking, Goku breaking the rules of heaven and of Dragonball Z, Namakian cultural appropriation and of course Gohan.

We visit a mind fuck of an anime, Satoshi Kon's classic Perfect Blue. We talk about Pop Stars, the Disney image, Japanese life and other stuff. We're savage as usual but you expect that.

Long story short, Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey give great performances but the story was lacking. They set up this interesting world but don't even fully explore it. Instead they tease it and leave you wanting to see and know more. If you're a Stephen King fan you'll be disappointed. 3BG rating: 2 out of 5

Coming off of Operation Overdrive, Disney was coming to a crossroads with the franchise. They had just bought Marvel and the writers strike was on the horizon. So in comes Jungle Fury which despite the outside issues managed to become a very underrated season. Much like Mystic Force, it manages to tell a very condensed story and get straight to the point. It has its issues but it doesn't take away from the entertainment this season provides.

With Season 3 of Young Justice underway, Executive Producers Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti and Character designer Phil Bourassa sat down and gave some indepth tidbits about the upcoming season and the process in delivering storylines for this show. Lots of good information to listen to.

Dee and CJ are back to recap the Money in the Bank PPV and the Great Balls of Fire PPV. They also go over the El Patron/Paige saga(lol), Global Force Wrestling Takeover, preview the G1 Climax, GFW Slammiversary, and G1 United States special. Lots to unpack but sit back and give it a listen. *Sidenote: The audio gets a bit choppy early in this episode but it clears up*

With the success of Arrow, it was only a matter of time for CW to try and do another show with a new hero. In comes The Flash which basically ended up being a huge hit. Right off the bat the show went all in and embraced the comic book nature of the character and all the lore. Very fun show and the guys talk about these 3 seasons.

So Spiderman Homecoming blew up big as expected so alongside @AverageJoeArt and @PrimeGundam, we go indepth on this film and talk about the pros and cons, theories, and easter eggs. Sit back and enjoy!

After making his mark in Civil War, Spiderman is back with another solo movie but this time its set in the MCU. Homecoming is a very good title for this film because its indeed a big deal seeing Spiderman interact with his corner of the MCU. We finally get a Peter Parker dealing with legit high school stuff and it isn't glossed over. On top of that he's also dealing with a legit good villain in The Vulture. Overall this is a solid movie that puts the focus on Peter Park/Spiderman and his corner of the MCU world. 3BG rating: 4.5 out of 5

Back in the late 80's, a wrestling promotion was started called GLOW(Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling) which spotlighted women doing entertaining wrestling much like the men. In comes Netflix who decided to do a semi-comedic take on the formation of this promotion and it turned out to be quite entertaining and captivating. So we finally get to yet another movie we put off and despite us taking the piss out of it, its actually a genuinely fine film at the end of the day despite out ridiculous the ending is. Its been awhile since we've done a black cinema film but when we do it, we have fun so enjoy the ride!

Another year and another AwesomeCon in the books. Dee and CJ talk about the happenings at this years convention and also talk about NegroCon which was a side event that happened as well. Also we got some surprises at the start of this episode so its definitely worth a listen.

Called one of the worst seasons of Power Rangers, Operation Overdrive had potential to be a really good season. The problem is that you're given characters that you don't care for(save for 3 of them) and bad guys that don't really do anything worth of damn except for Moltor. So yeah what you have is 32 episodes of just blandness and thats even with the anniversary teamup.

Fives movies into this franchise and at least on the action Michael Bay has improved. Story wise? Not so much which is a shame cause The Last Knight had potential to be really good on that end. What we have is a movie thats decently entertaining but the addition of Marky Mark's personal subplot kills the main plot momentum. If you know what you're getting into with these Bay movies, you'll like it otherwise if it isn't your thing then don't watch it. 3BG rating: 2 outta 5

With the upcoming Transformers The Last Knight film coming out, we thought it was perfect timing to talk about the 1986 Transformers movie. Its easy to tout this movie as great but honestly its not but the movie knows its whole aim is to sell toys. Either which way you have a wonky film that was made to kickstart new characters and ditch the old.

Wonder Woman has been out for some weeks now so we finally start diving deep into spoilers and give our full blown complaints, grievances, praises, and predictions of where the character's future is in the DCEU. Dee and CJ are back to talk about the NBA Finals and all the stories coming out of the phenomenal win from the Golden State Warriors. They also touch on some NFL news, some baseball, and Mayweather/McGregor finally happening.

So after years of putting it off we finally tackle The Last Dragon. This is a movie that just oozed everything about the 80's from the fashion right down to the soundtrack which was basically artist from Barry Gordy's Motown label. Movie may be cheesy but you know what? Its still an entertaining film that's fun to watch.

Okay so the Black Panther teaser trailer dropped and sweet jesus is it so damn good. What started out as just us doing a quick talk on this turned into 90 minutes of us just sitting back in amazement of what was presented to us. Black Panther is gonna be lit!!!! So another Extreme Rules PPV in the books and it turned out to be a pretty entertaining one at that. After 1 polarizing film and 2 films that soured folks on the DCEU, here we have Wonder Woman swooping in to save the day. This film is really good and what makes it work is how simple they kept things. It didn't need to be ridiculously complicated. Gal Gadot nails Diana/Wonder Woman perfectly and her supporting cast does the job as well. Definitely a must see film. 3BG rating: 4 out of 5

We end this month is a sweet movie. No seriously it's a sweet story. Only like 4 fight scenes and 50 plus year old Jackie falling in love with a teenager. Oh shut up, it's a wholesome goddamn it!

What happens when you mix Power Rangers with the magic sensibilities of Harry Potter? You get Power Rangers Mystic Force. What we have is a season that is written very tight with not much leeway in terms of character depth mainly because this season was only 32 episodes. So while some characters got some shine, others didn't. Not a bad thing but it would've helped. Overall its an enjoyable enough season to watch. Light spoiler review of the most excellent sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy. It was a sequel with purpose in that the characters got fleshed out more and it further expanded on the MCU cosmic universe. What can we say about the Farrelly brothers...More often than not they can put together a movie with a weird premise and make it funny. Me, Myself, and Irene is one of those movies. This film takes full advantage of the insanity of what Jim Carrey can do comedic wise. On top of that you have a good supporting cast in Anthony Anderson, Tony Cox, Renee Zellweger, and Robert Forrester. All around what you got is a funny movie that still holds up. Time Force dabbled a bit on the police theme of Power Rangers so SPD expands on it more so with a full blown season dedicated to it. Remember when this series started out being about street races? Pepperidge Farms remembers. With the 8th film in the franchise, Director F. Gary Gray manages to keep the crazy shenanigans this series is known for intact and also keep the casts camradery intact as well. It makes for a very fun and entertaining film overall. You won't be disappointed. 3BG rating: 4 outta of 5

Vin's first big hit and the movie that said "Sure, let's have him kill CGI bugs, we got nothing to lose." And then they made profit.

It's amazing how beloved this movie is. Maybe its the comedy of Eddie Murphy, maybe it's the mystic Asian magic, maybe it's the 80s cheese, or maybe just maybe you only saw this movie once and you didn't want to be the only person in the room who didn't like the movie.
