So we finally get to yet another movie we put off and despite us taking the piss out of it, its actually a genuinely fine film at the end of the day despite out ridiculous the ending is. Its been awhile since we've done a black cinema film but when we do it, we have fun so enjoy the ride!

Another year and another AwesomeCon in the books. Dee and CJ talk about the happenings at this years convention and also talk about NegroCon which was a side event that happened as well. Also we got some surprises at the start of this episode so its definitely worth a listen.

Called one of the worst seasons of Power Rangers, Operation Overdrive had potential to be a really good season. The problem is that you're given characters that you don't care for(save for 3 of them) and bad guys that don't really do anything worth of damn except for Moltor. So yeah what you have is 32 episodes of just blandness and thats even with the anniversary teamup.

Fives movies into this franchise and at least on the action Michael Bay has improved. Story wise? Not so much which is a shame cause The Last Knight had potential to be really good on that end. What we have is a movie thats decently entertaining but the addition of Marky Mark's personal subplot kills the main plot momentum. If you know what you're getting into with these Bay movies, you'll like it otherwise if it isn't your thing then don't watch it. 3BG rating: 2 outta 5

With the upcoming Transformers The Last Knight film coming out, we thought it was perfect timing to talk about the 1986 Transformers movie. Its easy to tout this movie as great but honestly its not but the movie knows its whole aim is to sell toys. Either which way you have a wonky film that was made to kickstart new characters and ditch the old.

Wonder Woman has been out for some weeks now so we finally start diving deep into spoilers and give our full blown complaints, grievances, praises, and predictions of where the character's future is in the DCEU. Dee and CJ are back to talk about the NBA Finals and all the stories coming out of the phenomenal win from the Golden State Warriors. They also touch on some NFL news, some baseball, and Mayweather/McGregor finally happening.

So after years of putting it off we finally tackle The Last Dragon. This is a movie that just oozed everything about the 80's from the fashion right down to the soundtrack which was basically artist from Barry Gordy's Motown label. Movie may be cheesy but you know what? Its still an entertaining film that's fun to watch.

Okay so the Black Panther teaser trailer dropped and sweet jesus is it so damn good. What started out as just us doing a quick talk on this turned into 90 minutes of us just sitting back in amazement of what was presented to us. Black Panther is gonna be lit!!!! So another Extreme Rules PPV in the books and it turned out to be a pretty entertaining one at that. First up, Dee and CJ got a chance to talk to Marcus Williams and Greg Burnham, creators of the Tuskegee Heirs comic. Great book and the first issue has officially dropped. After 1 polarizing film and 2 films that soured folks on the DCEU, here we have Wonder Woman swooping in to save the day. This film is really good and what makes it work is how simple they kept things. It didn't need to be ridiculously complicated. Gal Gadot nails Diana/Wonder Woman perfectly and her supporting cast does the job as well. Definitely a must see film. 3BG rating: 4 out of 5

We end this month is a sweet movie. No seriously it's a sweet story. Only like 4 fight scenes and 50 plus year old Jackie falling in love with a teenager. Oh shut up, it's a wholesome goddamn it!

What happens when you mix Power Rangers with the magic sensibilities of Harry Potter? You get Power Rangers Mystic Force. What we have is a season that is written very tight with not much leeway in terms of character depth mainly because this season was only 32 episodes. So while some characters got some shine, others didn't. Not a bad thing but it would've helped. Overall its an enjoyable enough season to watch. Light spoiler review of the most excellent sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy. It was a sequel with purpose in that the characters got fleshed out more and it further expanded on the MCU cosmic universe. What can we say about the Farrelly brothers...More often than not they can put together a movie with a weird premise and make it funny. Me, Myself, and Irene is one of those movies. This film takes full advantage of the insanity of what Jim Carrey can do comedic wise. On top of that you have a good supporting cast in Anthony Anderson, Tony Cox, Renee Zellweger, and Robert Forrester. All around what you got is a funny movie that still holds up. Time Force dabbled a bit on the police theme of Power Rangers so SPD expands on it more so with a full blown season dedicated to it. Remember when this series started out being about street races? Pepperidge Farms remembers. With the 8th film in the franchise, Director F. Gary Gray manages to keep the crazy shenanigans this series is known for intact and also keep the casts camradery intact as well. It makes for a very fun and entertaining film overall. You won't be disappointed. 3BG rating: 4 outta of 5

Vin's first big hit and the movie that said "Sure, let's have him kill CGI bugs, we got nothing to lose." And then they made profit.

It's amazing how beloved this movie is. Maybe its the comedy of Eddie Murphy, maybe it's the mystic Asian magic, maybe it's the 80s cheese, or maybe just maybe you only saw this movie once and you didn't want to be the only person in the room who didn't like the movie. Look, whatever reason you have more than likely we covered it for you. Thank you to the fans who voted for this movie.

Hollywood doesn't really have a great track record when it comes to doing live action films based on anime. Only twice have they accomplished in doing great adaptations with Speed Racer and Guyver: Dark Hero. So in comes Ghost In The Shell which despite it being a film thats all fluff and no substance, it manages to also not being an entirely horrible film. 3BG rating: 3 out of 10

South Korea did a revenge flick that has melodrama. Yeah, yeah I know you guess that already, but this is a good one tho. The guys close the month with this action movie that will have you on the edge of tears.

So we FINALLY get the last piece of the Defenders with Iron Fist. What we have is a show that ends up being just 'OK' at best. Quick Rundown: This Power Rangers movie turned out to be quite a surprise and a great addition to the franchise mythos. You have the core 5 cast who have great chemistry with one another with RJ Cyler being the breakout star. The action is serviceable and works for what the movie is accomplishing in giving us these rangers in action. Elizabeth Banks hams it up as Rita Repulsa and it works greatly. Filler is everywhere in Sailor Moon, you can't avoid it. So instead of running away from pointless episodes that don't move the story forward, we decide to talk about it. Ali and En fight, Moonlight Knight sucking butt, Monsters of the Day do jack, and Usagi remembers EVERYTHING! AND DIVA IS WITH US AGAIN!!!

We're back!!!! CJ and Dee run down the latest NFL offseason news and give our NCAA bracket choices.

One of the best action movies, not just in the 2010s but ever. And it wasn't produced in America, Hong Kong, or the UK. It's in Indonesia! Not only did this movie surprise audiences, but it also caused the Action genre to step its game up. God bless you, Gareth Evans. We talk about this new classic and why you don't f*ck with Mad Dog!

Kong: Skull Island unlike Godzilla, manages to strike a fine balance between the human characters and Kong himself which results in a movie that's is really entertaining and fun to watch. They waste no time giving you King Kong but the island the characters are on is also the highlight as well. John C. Reilly ends up stealing the show but Sam Jackson is right behind him as well. Definitely a must-see movie. 3BG rating: 7 out of 10

If you're gonna do a month on Asian Cinema you have to do a Hong Kong Police drama. This time Sammo Hung is the bad guy and Donnie Yen is the star. We are not worthy.

Unlike previous X-Men films that kept the strong tradition of delivering in the first half of the movie only for the second half of the movie to shit the bed, Logan actually stays consistent from beginning to end. Hugh Jackman, Dafne Keen and Patrick Stewart were all good...hell very good at times and X-23 ends up stealing the movie. The downside though is that the pacing is DULL. The plot, DULL. Backstory, ALMOST NON-EXISTANT. And as always...mutant powers misused. End of the day, Manigold made the movie he wanted but your mileage of enjoyment will vary depending on if you're anal about comic book accuracy and such. 3BG rating: 2.5 out of 5

We end this month with an underrated movie from the 90s. Omar Epps goes undercover to stop the drug lord GOD. How will he stop GOD and will he lose himself trying to stop him? We also talk about Nia Long being cursed, Hill Harper, and Ohio drug dealers with NY accents.

So back in 95, Saban wanted to capitalize on the HUGE popularity of MMPR so we as fans were graced with this movie. Lets just say despite it giving you what you want out of a Power Rangers film at the time, it hasn't held up so much especially with the new movie coming out. Quick overview: Folks this is a damn good movie that disposes of all the conventional horror movie tropes and does something fresh and new with the genre while also having a lowkey commentary on our society. Time for a black comic book movie. Well kinda. I doubt the Black Delegation wants a poorly told story with dog shit cgi. That being said we finally get this comic classic.
