We dissected Daryl Morey's interview on Mikey Miss and talked about a few things that he could be hinting at as far as trade targets on the Kings, Hawks and maybe one other team/player that could be involved. Most importantly we tried to figure out who is the "top 40" player that Morey is talking about? We also touched on a report by our guy Keith Pompey, Jason Dumas' appearance on Si6 where he spilled some more information including one heavily discussed player who the Sixers are 100 percent not interested in. Next we talked about Embiid's dominant performance against the Orlando Magic and why he could be the MVP of the league despite the calculator boys crying about this. We discussed how he stacks up against Jokic and Giannis and why the narrative is so important for the award. Plus, where does Embiid rank amongst Sixers players of the last 35 years? Lastly we gave Seth Curry his flowers because he his in the middle of the best season of his career and the tide amongst Sixers fans seems to be turning against him for some reason. Another week, another slopfest. But first, the Blue Chew Review of the Week. Next on this episode we had on Brenden Nunes of the Kings Herald, Kings Pulse Podcast and the Sacramento Bee to talk about a possible Ben Simmons (and Tobias Harris?) deal to the Kings. We discussed every aspect of why a deal could happen and why the Kings and Sixers demands in negotiations could prove to be too much for the other side. Would the Kings let a deal fall through because they are unwilling to move Tyrese Haliburton? Will the salary matching be too difficult? Would Ben automatically become a top 3 all time Sacramento King? I also made the argument for why I think this is a perfect destination for Ben despite the fact that he wanted to play for the other California teams. We talked about a ton of stuff including: Hawks wing/big John Collins to the Sixers, where local and national insiders are getting their information from during the Ben Simmons saga, and Tobias Harris possibly being on the move in addition to Ben.
