To the surprise of pretty much the entire sports world, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck announced that he was retiring from football on Saturday, August 24. If you can imagine the shockwave Luck’s retirement made throughout the NFL, then the reverberations his decision have made and will continue to make in fantasy football are just as big. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon break down the stunning events in this episode of the Yahoo Fantasy Football Podcast (0:30).Jacoby Brissett will now be the starting QB of the Colts. Training Camp is in full swing, and players are already doing their best to show out. Unfortunately, not all is well. As players begin to up their intensity, so too does the risk of injury rise. As the last puzzle pieces of free agency come into place, Matt Harmon and Liz Loza start off the show this week by addressing a very serious voicemail from a distraught Giants fan driven to the brink of despair by GM Dave Gettleman (3:00).Anyway, back to our regularly scheduled programming! Week 14 is all but done, and many fantasy players saw their hopes for a run in the playoffs come to an end. Odds are they faced Derrick Henry, but the Titans runner wasn't the only player to shock the masses.In a rather surprising turn of events, the Saints' offense has utterly sputtered two weeks in a row.
