Ep 102Week 13 Recap: Turkey day leftovers & a week for the underdogs

RIP to most Survivor entries. Our thoughts are with everyone who trusted Sam Darnold this week. Salute to those of you who trusted the likes of DeVante Parker and Derrius Guice in a must-win Week 13.Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss all those performances and more from a crazy Week 13 the latest fantasy football podcast. After recapping some of the Thanksgiving action (03:04), and the Ravens/49ers matchup of the day (14:04), Liz and Matt break down Sunday’s slate which was full of surprising underdog performances. Devlin “Duck” Hodges and Benny Snell helped take down the Browns. (18:05) The aforementioned Sam Darnold and the red-hot Jets? Embarrassed by the Bengals. (22:09)DeVante Parker LIT UP the Eagles (7 catches, 159 yards, 2 TDs). (28:50)Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry ruined many of the Colts’ playoff dreams. (32:13)Gardner Minshew took back his rightful place as the Jacksonville Jaguars' starting QB in an otherwise troubling loss to the Buccaneers (36:11)Derrius Guice went off (10 rushes, 129 yards, 2 TDs) in a huge upset over the Panthers. (40:57) Elsewhere in the NFL, Darwin Thompson finally gets an opportunity in KC, the Rams offense awoke in shocking fashion against the Cardinals, Drew Lock got a nice QB win in his first start and Green Bay found their WR2 -- all hail the Lazard King! Please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBCheck out the rest of the Yahoo Sports Podcast family at https://apple.co/2Abi8jk or at yahoosports.com/podcasts See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 101Week 13 Preview: Turkey day action and a MNF beat-down

Liz Loza and Matt Harmon are back with a special Wednesday edition of the fantasy football podcast, ahead of the turkey apocalypse otherwise known as Thanksgiving![Play in Yahoo’s NFL $200K Baller. $10 entry fee and $20K to first place]But Thanksgiving is on Thursday, how about that you-know-what whoopin’ the Ravens put on the Rams on Monday night? Liz & Matt gush about Lamar, lament the Rams & preview the NFC West matchup between the Rams & Cardinals later in the week. Are we sure Arizona is the worst team in the division? (05:00)Back to the holiday spirit, our experts run through all the Turkey Day action, starting with ... ugh ... Bears vs. Lions. In the event that the questionable Jeff Driskel can’t take the field on Thursday, his backup is, and this is not a mistake, David Blough. Blerg. Is there anything positive to take away from this matchup. Our experts try to find the marshmallows in this rotten bowl of sweet potatoes. (09:05)They then move on to Buffalo vs. Dallas in what might be the most interesting matchup of the holiday. Both teams have been criticized for being weak against squads over .500. Which team will silence the doubters on Thursday? (12:01)Finally, our football dinner ends with a dessert of New Orleans vs. Atlanta. Can New Orleans prove their surprising loss to the dirty birds two weeks ago was just an aberration? Or will this flightless Falcons team put up one last fight against a division rival before they pack it in for the season? (19:03)After the Turkey Day discussion, Liz and Matt look towards the weekend and preview each game from the remainder of Week 13 and tell you the one thing you should look for in each game. (25:45)Don’t forget to play in Yahoo’s Week 13 NFL $200K Baller contest! $10 entry fee and $20K to first place! Ep 100Week 12 Recap: Backup RBs go off, more Wentz worry and is it N'Keal Harry time?

Sure, Christian McCaffrey and Nick Chubb had big days, as expected, but a lot of backup running backs had memorable outings in Week 12. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss the captivating performances from Rashaad Penny, Latavius Murray, Qadree Ollison, Benny Snell and more in the latest fantasy football podcast. (01:25)Liz and Matt hit mostly every game from Week 12’s Sunday slate, including fantasy owners finally getting a solid look at first round Patriots WR N’Keal Harry. Should fantasy owners invest in the rookie or are there better options in the depleted New England receiver corps? (13:25)Elsewhere in the NFL, we witnessed another disappointing outing by Carson Wentz. So, for the umpteenth time, what’s wrong with Wentz? (21:28)The Browns went off in the Week 12, as everybody with fantasy value — Baker Mayfield, Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry, Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt — ate, while on the other side, DeVante Parker turned 11 targets into six catches for 91 yards (for what it’s worth). (31:45)Oakland got caught in a classic west-to-east trap game in East Rutherford. Matt & Liz take a look at Sam Darnold’s performance and the Jets’ light schedule to round out the season (36:30)Don’t get your ponytail in a bunch, but Derrick Henry had himself a day against the Jaguars and Leonard Fournette got into the end-zone twice as well. Could Ryan Tannehill be the answer in Tennessee and man, it definitely seems like Foles is not in Jacksonville. (41:58)John Brown is becoming (or rather, has become) one of the safest wide receivers to roster in fantasy (48:12), Mason Rudolph got benched one week after you-know-what, only to watch the Duck, Devlin Hodges, come in and help the Steelers get the W (51:30).Liz and Matt discuss all that and more fantasy tidbits from Week 12’s games. Ep 99Week 12 Preview: Strong second-half rookies, are the Falcons good now and is Rivers washed?

Are we seeing the end of Philip Rivers? On a scale of 1-gross, how bad was Goff vs. Trubisky last week? Oh, and what’s going on with Nelson Agholor’s supposed burner account?Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss that and much more on the latest Yahoo Fantasy Football Podcast, starting with the...shall we say...rough outing between the Rams and Bears last Sunday night. (1:30)On Monday night, the Chiefs beat the Chargers in Mexico City, but most notable were Philip Rivers' 4 picks. Is the veteran quarterback nearing the end? (7:10)[Play in Yahoo’s NFL $200K Baller. $10 entry fee and $20K to first place]Elsewhere in the NFL, the Pittsburgh Steelers have been holding their own even though they’re dealing with a plethora of injuries to their top fantasy weapons. JuJu Smith-Schuster has already been ruled out, James Conner is questionable, and Diontae Johnson is in concussion protocol. Have the surprisingly .500 Steelers finally about collapse under the weight of injuries?(10:30)Speaking of surprises, the lowly Falcons have won two games in a row by a margin of 55-12. What's behind Atlanta's sudden resurgence, and should we pay attention to this team in the second half? (16:25)Next, Liz and Matt discuss some rookies who could provide strong second-halves, which could prove very useful in fantasy. Names like Noah Fant, Hunter Renfrow, Deebo Samuel (who could be in for some positive touchdown regression), Darius Slayton and Andy Isabella may be of potential interest if they're available in your league or if you're thinking about keeping them (21:40). After discussing all that, our experts give one bit of advice for every game on the Week 12 slate (32:40), as well as some DFS bargains and fades (51:45).Oh, and don’t forget to join the Week 12 NFL $200K Baller daily fantasy contest. Ep 98Week 11 Recap: Kyler is heating up, Lamar is on fire and what's wrong with Watson & Wentz?

Four passing touchdowns. 222 passing yards. 86 yards on the ground. Just another day in the office for Lamar Jackson. The MVP front-runner (don't @ us, Russell Wilson lovers) is continuing his hot streak and despite losing this weekend, Kyler Murray is showing strong flashes that he could be Lamar Jackson (or Patrick Mahomes, or Cam Newton) 2.0.Matt Harmon is joined by Dalton Del Don on a Week 11 Sunday night to discuss the results of the too-close-for comfort San Francisco 49ers win over the Arizona Cardinals (02:30) and the blowout win for the Baltimore Ravens over the Houston Texans (07:45).Later in the show, our experts hit the rest of the Sunday games including:- New England @ Philadelphia: What's wrong with Wentz? (19:35)- New Orleans @ Tampa Bay: The Saints get right against the Bucs (21:15)- Denver @ Minnesota: The Vikings finally allow a TD to a TE (29:30)- Atlanta @ Carolina: The end of Riverboat Ron? (31:00)- Dallas @ Detroit: It's a Bo Scarbrough revenge game! (36:30)- Cincinnati @ Oakland: Perhaps Ryan Finley isn't the answer (40:30)- Jacksonville @ Indianapolis: Marlon Mack fractures his hand (44:45)- Buffalo @ Miami: Josh Allen finds his deep ball (52:00)- New York Jets @ Washington: gross (52:25)Please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBFollow Dalton @DaltonDelDonCheck out the rest of the Yahoo Sports Podcast family at https://apple.co/2Abi8jk or at yahoosports.com/podcasts See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 97Week 11 Preview: Nick Foles is back, RBs to stash and WR3s to stream

Well, as fun as Minshew Mania was, it has indeed come to an end. Nick Foles is returning to the Jaguars this week, but what does it mean for the fantasy values of Jaguar studs like Leonard Fournette and D.J. Chark? (1:10)Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss that and much more on the latest Yahoo Fantasy Football Podcast.[Play in Yahoo’s NFL $200K Baller. $10 entry fee and $20K to first place]Elsewhere in the NFL, two of the top tight ends in fantasy won’t be on the field in Week 11. Austin Hooper will now be out for a month, and considering he’d been the top tight end in fantasy, we feel your pain, fantasy managers. Is Luke Stocker a viable fantasy option now?George Kittle is set to miss another game, and unfortunately, it’s against the Cardinals, the team which has been friendliest to opposing TEs this season. Liz and Matt seek out TE dart-throws in the wake of these injuries for Week 11. (5:45)As you very well know, it’s #HandcuffSZN, but beyond that, Liz and Matt list the running backs fantasy managers should be stashing — regardless of whether they’re rostering the lead backs in the same offense. (15:05)Next up, our experts talk about the random group of wideouts in the top 30-50 who seem to produce week in and week out, and which of them are worth streaming based on their matchups. Ep 96Week 10 Recap: Barkley, Kamara, Johnson falter & a rare O.J. Howard sighting

Alvin Kamara. Saquon Barkley. David Johnson. There is no doubt that these three names were among the first six or seven picks in your league. Yet today, Kamara was only RB14 on the week and Barkley & Johnson...you don't want to know (1:21).Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss these star running back performances and much more in the latest fantasy football podcast.Moving from the broad strokes of disappointing RBs to recapping the Sunday games:- O.J. Howard made an extremely rare appearance in the Buccaneers' win over the Cardinals (19:26)- Is it Rashard Higgins time in Cleveland after the Browns beat the Bills? (24:50) - Ryan Tannehill turned some heads in Tennessee's upset victory over the Chiefs (27:50)- Taylor Gabriel finally found the end zone in Lions @ Bears (34:30)- Baltimore thrashed the Bengals as Lamar Jackson continues to be the most exciting player in the NFL (37:45)- Don't let the Steelers fool you, their offense is still bad (41:30)- Did Kalen Ballage establish himself as the starter in Miami? Ep 95Week 10 Preview: Kareem Hunt is back – why you should avoid the hype

We have reached Week 10 of the fantasy football season — are you tired yet? Hey, fantasy fatigue is a real thing, and Liz Loza and Matt Harmon are here to help you get through it in the latest fantasy football podcast.[Play in Yahoo’s NFL $250K Baller. $10 entry fee and $25K to first place]It’s been an eventful week across the NFL. Cam Newton’s season is over, as the Panthers placed their (former) starting quarterback on IR (1:20). Evan Engram is now in a walking boot ahead of a same-stadium rivalry game between the Jets and Giants (8:55). Kareem Hunt is set to play vs. Bills after serving his suspension – what does this mean for Nick Chubb (11:45), and finally, quarterback god Patrick Mahomes is set to make his return from injury, and it begs the question whether his return will positively or negatively affect Damien Williams (17:50).After discussing all that, our experts preview some interesting Week 10 matchups, including a pair of awesome primetime NFC matchups in Vikings/Cowboys (20:35) and Seahawks/49ers (25:10). After that they preview the rest of the Sunday Week 10 slate (29:00)They then wrap up the show giving some daily fantasy bargains and fades for the week (59:00).Don’t forget to join the Week 10 NFL $250K Baller daily fantasy contest. Ep 94Week 9 Recap: Time for a QB change in PIT and CHI?

There was a lot of unimpressive quarterback play early in Week 9, but few signal-callers disappointed more than Mason Rudolph and Mitchell Trubisky. It’s not that they played terribly, but you just always seem to expect more from these passers considering their respective situations. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss these performances and much more in the latest fantasy football podcast. No one realistically expected Mason Rudolph to be Big Ben 2.0, but considering that he has the No. 1 pass-blocking unit protecting him and strong weapons on the outside, his subpar performances aren’t cutting it in either fantasy or reality. In fact, if not for Jacoby Brissett going down with a knee injury early, the result of this game could have been different. And speaking of Brissett, Liz and Matt discuss the fantasy fallout of the Colts weapons — like Zach Pascal, who shined in T.Y. Hilton’s absence — if Brissett has to miss time and Brian Hoyer is the starting QB for Indy (1:15).If you think Rudolph is sub-par, you can only imagine what Liz and Matt think about Mitchell Trubisky (11:15). Another game, another Bears loss, another crappy performance by Mitch. Oh, and DeSean Jackson, who just came back, got hurt again. Just horrible luck.Elsewhere in the NFL, Damien Williams reappeared, rushing for over 125 yards while also out-touching LeSean McCoy (22:30). On the other side of the field, Adam Thielen re-injured his hamstring (but Stefon Diggs didn’t produce in his stead, unfortunately).Devin Singletary may have finally asserted himself over Count Dracula I mean Frank Gore against Washington, as the electrifying rookie went off to the tune of 95 rush yards and 45 receiving yards (along with a touchdown on the ground). His older counterpart across the field, Adrian Peterson, had a solid game as well, rushing for over 100 yards (30:40).In the late afternoon, Russell Wilson mustered his usual magic in the Seahawks' overtime win over the Buccaneers (36:20). In a game where Tyler Lockett looked incredible & D.K. Metcalf broke out, fantasy owners must consider that Seattle added Josh Gordon over the weekend. What can we expect out of Gordon on the 7-2 Seahawks?Oakland's win over Detroit was about as exciting a fantasy matchup as we had this weekend (41:30). Our experts break down the Raiders' win and emergence as an offensive powerhouse.Liz and Matt then continue their Week 9 recap with some quick fantasy hitters (45:15), like Kenyan Drake’s raucous Cardinals debut, Nick Foles impending return to Jacksonville, and Preston Williams’ league-winning potential (oh, and the Jets are bad). Ep 93Week 9 Preview: RBs to stash in the second-half and goodbye to Dalton & Flacco

With Liz Loza out Halloween-ing, Matt Harmon is joined by Yahoo’s very own Scott Pianowski for the latest fantasy football podcast.[Play in Yahoo’s NFL $250K Baller. $10 entry fee and $25K to first place]And with Halloween on the mind, there are some scary situations in the NFL, starting the Steelers backfield, which is a true house of horrors right now. James Conner, Jaylen Samuels, and Benny Snell are all either dealing with injuries or trying to return from them. Seems like Samuels is ready to go, but nonetheless, Scott and Matt break down these situations (3:20).From scary RBs to terrifying QBs, we got confirmation that Kyle Allen is returning under center in Carolina for at least one more week, even though it seems Cam Newton will be making his grand return soon (8:10), Andy Dalton was outright benched in favor of Ryan Finley for the Bengals (16:25), and an injured Joe Flacco will give way to Brandon Allen at QB for the Broncos (21:00).Week 9 marks the beginning of #HandcuffSZN, as a prime second-half strategy is for fantasy managers to start adding handcuffs to elite running backs (23:00) Some options include: Alexander Mattison, Gus Edwards, Ryquell Armstead, Tony Pollard, Darrell Henderson, and Reggie Bonnafon. Mark Walton is another option worth adding who is actually a starter, and maybe even Darwin Thompson is a sneaky add?Scott and Matt also discuss the value of Raiders players (like Tyrell Williams and Darren Waller) in the second half (36:25), as well as why you should be caring about second-half strength of schedule (40:05).After discussing all that, our experts preview some interesting Week 9 matchups in Chicago vs. Philadelphia and Jacksonville vs. Houston (45:25). They then wrap up the show giving some daily fantasy bargains and fades for the week (52:35).Oh, and don’t forget to join the Week 9 NFL $250K Baller daily fantasy contest. Ep 92Week 8 Recap: Sanders & Montgomery finally emerge and Danny Dimes is your QB1

You know that moment when that player you’ve been waiting to go off, finally goes off?We had a few of those on Sunday in Week 8. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon talk about those performances and much more in the latest fantasy football podcast.Above all, the most “FINALLY!” moments of the week have to go to rookie running backs, David Montgomery (1:00) and Miles Sanders (5:50). You wanna talk about waiting for guys to go off, look no further. Montgomery (31 total touches, 147 total yards, 1 TD) and Sanders (6 total touches, 118 total yards, 1 TD, 1 2-point conversion) had great days, but the question Liz and Matt try to answer is: Are these performances for real? Can we trust them going forward? The Bears' lasElsewhere in Week 8, Drew Brees returned but it was Latavius Murray who won the day (11:00). After taking over for an injured Alvin Kamara the last two weeks, Murray has been EATING, posting back-to-back 25+ fantasy point outings. That said, the party could end for Murray, as the Saints will go on bye in Week 9 and Kamara is expected to return to action in Week 10. On the other side of the field, Chase Edmonds, coming off a shocking performance in Week 8, got hurt against the Saints, but it’ll be hard to trust any Zona RB against the undefeated 49ers in Week 9.Mike Evans exploded in Week 8 (198 yards, 2 TD). The same can’t be said, unfortunately, for Tennessee's wideouts (16:20). Most of us expected the likes of Corey Davis and A.J. Brown to continue their growth alongside Ryan Tannehill, but our expectations were not met (understatement). After all that FAAB was used on Ty Johnson, the Lions continue to prove to us that their backfield is actually a minefield. Well, at least Matthew Stafford and Daniel Jones both had excellent fantasy days (22:20).The Atlanta Falcons haven't missed a step (for better or worse). With Matt Schaub under center, he came close to replicating Matt Ryan's stats but have no fear, the Dirty Birds are still in the gutter (29:10).How about those 49ers? Tevin Coleman went absolutely nuts (13 touches, 118 total yards, FOUR total touchdowns) and newcomer Emmanuel Sanders caught a touchdown on the 9ers first offensive drive. On the other side, Kyle Allen could do nothing against the vaunted San Francisco defense — so we can expect Cam Newton to return to the starting role soon when he’s ready (31:15).Liz & Matt wrap up the show with the late-breaking news that J.J. Watt will miss the remainder of the season with a torn pectoral muscle (39:50). With an already shaky defense, how will the Texans adjust and could Gardner Minshew lead the Jags in a repeat stellar performance next week against Houston? Please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBCheck out the rest of the Yahoo Sports Podcast family at https://apple.co/2Abi8jk or at yahoosports.com/podcasts See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 91Week 8 Preview: Trade season, IR season, and how those top-ADP players are doing

With the NFL trade deadline less than a week away, some teams have already begun to make moves. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss those trades and much more in the latest fantasy football podcast.Mohamed Sanu and Emmanuel Sanders are both on new teams, and in better situations, too. Sanu is now on the undefeated Patriots, who lost WR Josh Gordon to the IR (0:50), and Sanders is on the undefeated 49ers (7:30). Liz and Matt discuss those trades and how they impact the fantasy landscape.Gordon wasn't the only big name fantasy player to hit the injured reserve. The Detroit Lions placed RB Kerryon Johnson on the IR and our experts diagnose whether Ty Johnson, the most added player in Yahoo leagues, is the answer (13:00).[Play in Yahoo’s NFL $250K Baller. $10 entry fee and $25K to first place]Earlier in the week, Yahoo Fantasy’s very own James Koh tweeted out a graphic of where the top players in ADP currently stand through seven weeks of the season and ... well ... it’s not pretty. To think, the likes of Odell Beckham Jr., Joe Mixon, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Saquon Barkley are nowhere near the top-20 at their position is unreal. Liz and Matt break down this stunning group and offer up some suggestions for dealing with the reality of this situation in fantasy (19:00).After discussing all that, our experts preview some interesting Week 8 matchups in Tampa Bay vs. Tennessee (the Ryan Tannehill era is here!) and Philadelphia (can the Eagles get it together on offense?) vs. Buffalo (37:40). They then wrap up the show giving some daily fantasy bargains and fades for the week (46:45).Oh, and don’t forget to join the Week 8 NFL $250K Baller daily fantasy contest. Ep 90Week 7 Recap: Key injuries and re-injuries define the weekend

Liz Loza & Matt Harmon, unfortunately, have to discuss a LOT of injuries that occurred in Week 7, headlined by Patrick Mahomes being lost for about a month due to a kneecap injury suffered against the Broncos (1:00). Other big injuries fantasy gamers dealt with include Matt Ryan (ankle), Adam Thielen (hamstring), Kerryon Johnson (knee), and Ito Smith (head/neck), to name a few. Even Evan Engram and Saquon Barkley, who just returned from injuries, got banged up during their game. Liz and Matt discuss the fantasy implications of all those losses in this episode, particularly the Engram and Barkley re-injuries (13:15). Are players coming back too soon? Liz has thoughts.Elsewhere in the NFL, the Vikings offense looked unstoppable against the Detroit Lions (18:30) and Aaron Rodgers delivered his game of the year thus far, lighting up Oakland for over 400 yards and six total touchdowns while sharing the wealth to EVERYBODY (22:00). Jared Goff and the Rams went back to their high-scoring ways, but are they back, or is this just a symptom of playing the Falcons (27:00)? (Then again, they play the Bengals next week, so there’s that). Deshaun Watson helped DeAndre Hopkins, Kenny Stills, and Keke Coutee all enjoy productive fantasy days, albeit in a loss to Jacoby Brissett and the Colts (29:00).Please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBCheck out the rest of the Yahoo Sports Podcast family at https://apple.co/2Abi8jk or at yahoosports.com/podcasts See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 89Week 7 Preview: Rams make YOLO moves, Saquon is back and the TE wasteland

There’s a lot to talk about as we head into Week 7 of the NFL season, and Liz Loza and Matt Harmon cover it all in the latest fantasy football podcast.[Play in Yahoo’s NFL $250K Baller. $10 entry fee and $25K to first place]First up, how about that trade the Los Angeles Rams swung for Jalen Ramsey? Talk about going for it all! The Rams went YOLO with their defense and the Jaguars got a decent haul and seem to be rebuilding on the fly better than a certain aquatic team in south Florida (1:00).Elsewhere in the NFL, fantasy gamers are crossing their fingers that Saquon Barkley will return on Sunday for a plus-matchup against the Arizona Cardinals after practicing for two days straight (12:50).And now, for a topic that most fantasy gamers have been frustrated with the past couple seasons: Tight Ends! Scott Pianowski recently shuffled-up the tight end position, and now that we’ve gone past “Peach Season,” (drafting the top TEs), it’s apple-picking season. AKA, Liz and Matt discuss which tight ends are worth adding off the waiver wire and streaming via matchup, names like Jason Witten, Dawson Knox, and both Houston Texan tight ends, just to name a few (17:40).Somehow, Week 7 is cursing us with some BAD quarterbacks going against some BAD defenses. Liz and Matt discuss their thoughts on these matchups, like Ryan Tannehill (taking over the recently benched Marcus Mariota) going against the Chargers, Gardner Minshew vs. the terrible Bengals, and Daniel Jones taking on the Cardinals’ sieve-like defense (29:30).After discussing all that, our experts preview a trio of Week 7 NFC matchups in the Vikings vs. Lions, Eagles vs. Cowboys and 49ers vs. Redskins (40:15). They then wrap up the show giving some daily fantasy bargains and fades for the week (46:35).Oh, and don’t forget to join the Week 7 NFL $250K Baller daily fantasy contest. Ep 88Week 6 Recap: Darnold returns, Vikings air it out and signs of danger for Chiefs & Cowboys

Week 6 was not without a few surprises, starting with Marcus Mariota getting benched against the Broncos in favor of Ryan Tannehill (0:45). Well ... “in favor” is probably not the best use of that phrase, as Tannehill was not much better against a Broncos defense that came to play.Moving to games and teams that matter, Liz Loza & Matt Harmon break down the weekend's biggest storylines on this episode of the Yahoo Fantasy Football Podcast. In the first of two home losses on Sunday for teams in LA, the Rams were handily beat at home by the division-rival 49ers (3:15). Yeah, we know the 49ers are for real now, but what should we make of the fading Rams and their indecipherable backfield?Speaking of confusing backfields, what are the New Orleans Saints if they don't have Alvin Kamara or Drew Brees (9:30)?Sam Darnold made his (glorious?) return to the New York Jets on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys and instantly, the Jets offense changed completely (13:40). It seemed like Mononucleosis may have made Darnold stronger, as he came out firing on all cylinders; by the time the fourth quarter was halfway through, Darnold had thrown for over 300 yards and two touchdowns. But while Darnold’s absence due to an ailment ended, others emerged. Will Dissly — who seemed to be on the verge of a breakout — left with what is feared to be an Achilles injury during the Seahawks' victory in Cleveland. Matt and Liz breakdown the number of interesting storylines as a result of that game (22:50).Other big matchups on Sunday included the Vikings-Eagles, where Stefon Diggs EXPLODED for 185 total yards and three TDs (27:30). That’s back-to-back weeks where a Viking receiver has gone off — but can we trust it, or will they revert back to the Dalvin Cook Show? The Texans defeated the Chiefs, handing Patrick Mahomes and the team their second straight loss (34:10). Our experts break down this anticipated matchup, including this startling fact: Houston’s offensive line didn’t allow a single sack!Curtis Samuel went off in London, while O.J. Howard collected just two catches amidst growing trade rumors (43:05)Oh, and Adrian Peterson? Yeah, he had a big day (45:15). Ep 87Week 6 Preview: What if Mahomes is really injured?

On Monday night, the 49ers put on a running clinic in against the Cleveland Browns, but it ended up coming at a heavy cost: The team lost both their fullback and their right tackle to injury. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon open the show this week discussing the prospects of Matt Breida, Tevin Coleman and play a little game of either/or with the San Francisco backfield (2:06).There's a lot to consider in Kansas City with now that the injury bug has shown its ugly head. With Sammy Watkins getting hurt and Tyreek Hill not yet ready to return, Byron Pringle emerged against the Colts — but is he the real deal – and does any of that matter if Patrick Mahomes is hobbled with an injured ankle (9:15)?In other news, Chris Herndon made fantasy gamers rage uncontrollably after he hurt his hamstring in practice — and this is after waiting for him to return from his suspension. Not great. Liz & Matt break down the frustrating Jets offense and recommend some sage for Gang Green (15:45).Oh, and Christian McCaffrey scared the sh** out of everybody by missing practice with a back issue but he returned to a full practice (thankfully). With that said, McCaffrey’s backup, Reggie Bonnafon, impressed late against the Jaguars, making him arguably the most valuable handcuff in fantasy (24:15).Mark Walton got promoted after Kalen Ballage ... Kalen Ballage’d. Is Walton on the fantasy radar? What about the rest of the Dolphins, who are playing a must-lose game against Washington this week (31:30).[Play in Yahoo’s NFL $300K Baller. $10 entry fee and $30K to first place]After discussing all that, our experts preview a pair of sneaky-interesting Week 6 matchups in Houston/Kansas City and the London Bowl between the Panthers and Buccaneers (38:05), then wrap up the show giving some daily fantasy bargains and fades for the week (44:40).Oh, and don’t forget to join the Week 6 NFL $300K Baller daily fantasy contest. Ep 86Week 5 Recap: Big performances, and are the Panthers really better without Cam Newton?

You want to talk about big performances, look no further than Week 5. In the latest fantasy football podcast, Liz Loza and Matt Harmon recap those outings, and much more, and they’re joined by Psych and A Million Little Things alum, James Roday! We can’t talk about big performances without talking about what Christian McCaffrey did to the Jacksonville Jaguars (1:30). Run-CMC racked up a whopping 237 total yards and three touchdowns on 25 total touches. Those are video game numbers. But after another monster day by McCaffrey, the Panthers are 3-0 during the Kyle Allen era. So, it begs the question: Are the Panthers — Matt’s ex-lover — a truly better team without Cam Newton?Minshew-Mania stumbled against McCaffrey’s Panthers, but there were fantasy goodies to be had on the Jaguars side of the ball, too. Gardner Minshew (26/44 for 374 yards and 2 TDs), Leonard Fournette (137 total yards, 1 TD), D.J. Chark (164 yards, 2 TDs) all provided great days. You’ll remember last week, the frustration about the Vikings passing had boiled over, especially with their two stud wideouts, Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs. Well, the coaching staff heard — sort of. Adam Thielen and Kirk Cousins had good days; Diggs, not so much. Across on the other side of the scoreboard, the Giants lost Wayne Gallman to a concussion. And while Saquon Barkley continues to build evidence of his inhuman nature, Liz and Matt discuss Vikings/Giants and whether Jonathan Hilliman is now on the fantasy radar (11:30).Before the Sunday night clash between the Kansas City Chiefs and Indianapolis Colts, Teddy Bridgewater was the third-highest scoring fantasy quarterback. Yes, that Teddy Bridgewater, thanks to 314 pass yards and four touchdowns — so maybe this offense isn’t as in trouble as we initially thought after the Drew Brees injury (19:30).Back to the AFC South, the Will Fuller explosion happened, as the wideout turned 16 targets into 14 catches, 217 yards, and 3 TDs. His quarterback, Deshaun Watson, had a day too, throwing five touchdowns and totaling 473 yards through the air and on the ground (28:15).Have to shout out Josh Jacobs too, who, going up against the vaunted Bears defense and playing overseas, went off for 143 total yards and two touchdowns (30:30)Aaron Jones decided to put on his best Christian McCaffrey impression against Dallas, going off for FOUR touchdowns and over 180 combined yards (35:45). On the other side of the spectrum, Amari Cooper turned 14 targets into 11 catches, 226 yards, and a touchdown. Big, unexpected performances indeed. Ep 85Week 5 Preview: The curious case of Stefon Diggs and an RB wasteland

It’s no surprise that the Minnesota Vikings have loved to run the ball in 2019. Like, LOVED it. Like, Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs have been suffering because of it, and so has every fantasy gamer who drafted one (or both) of the talented Vikings wide receivers. Thielen has voiced his frustration, but, in a surprise to the entire fantasy community, it was Diggs who missed practice for a non-football reason this week. The trade rumor mill was unleashed. Liz and Matt discuss the Diggs situation and much more on the latest fantasy football podcast (0:20).[Play in Yahoo’s NFL $350K Baller. $10 entry fee and $35K to first place]Diggs returned to practice on Thursday, but when asked about the trade rumors, he said, “There’s truth to all rumors.” #SpicySpeaking of star wideouts, it seems like A.J. Green will be out longer than expected with injury. The rumors of a Green trade have surfaced as well (8:40).More on the injury front: The Bears are set to play without the services of their starting quarterback, Mitchell Trubisky, but could Chicago actually be better without him? Liz and Matt analyze the Bears (13:00), while also discussing the impending return of young Jets tight end, Chris Herndon (19:00).Liz and Matt are then joined by Brad Evans to talk about the running back situation as it stands in fantasy right now, including Brad’s favorite, David Montgomery, as well as the Eagles and the resurgence of one Ronald Jones II (24:00).After discussing all that, our experts provide some tantalizing daily fantasy bargains (38:00) as well as preview a pair of sneaky-interesting Week 5 matchups in Texans/Falcons and 49ers/Browns (49:20)Oh, and don’t forget to join the Week 5 NFL $350K Baller daily fantasy contest. Ep 84Week 4 Recap: Lions show signs of (fantasy) life, Nick Chubb explodes and is Brissett a QB1?

Week 4 has been ... interesting. After a bunch of random, waiver-wire-fodder players scored, many matchups that looked like they’d be easy wins for the favorites went down to the wire, including the game between the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs. Not only did the Lions defense surprise in holding Patrick Mahomes to no touchdowns, but Detroit’s fantasy assets showed out as well. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon break that game down and much more in the latest fantasy football podcast, starting with the Cleveland Browns offensive resurgence against the Baltimore Ravens (1:00).Matthew Stafford, Kerryon Johnson, Kenny Golladay, and T.J. Hockenson all had great days in a losing effort for the Detroit but Liz and Matt ask, should we be paying the Lions more respect (7:00)?Elsewhere in the NFL, Wayne Gallman lived up to many fantasy owners' hopes and dreams as Saquon Barkley's replacement (11:55). Gallman was the clear lead back for the Giants on a day that Daniel Jones was not at his best, and is expected to be just that as long as Saquon Barkley remains out. Speaking of that Giants game, Dwayne Haskins finally made his NFL debut in a plus matchup ... and it wasn’t great. Our experts debate whether he’s worth a stash in fantasy.Speaking of quarterbacks, Jacoby Brissett has now delivered back-to-back high-scoring fantasy weeks (20:15). The question Liz and Matt aim to answer is: Do we consider Brissett a QB1 going forward?Liz and Matt would be remiss if they didn’t address the fact that DeAndre Hopkins has now gone three consecutive weeks with quiet outputs after his Week 1 explosion. What do we make if it? Our experts discuss the Houston receiver and the Texans' receiver corps without Kenny Stills (26:40).Gotta talk about the Rams-Buccaneers game, which was not only the highest-scoring game of the season so far, it’s the highest-scoring game in Tampa Bay history. Our experts break down that game and all the action that took place (33:30). They wrap up with the exciting Thursday night game between the Packers and Eagles marvel at the Green Bay offense that is putting up points but doesn't seem to have it all together yet (36:50).Please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBCheck out the rest of the Yahoo Sports Podcast family at https://apple.co/2Abi8jk or at yahoosports.com/podcasts See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 83Week 4 Preview: Saquon gone, Melvin's back, and weird top-30 at wide receiver

The Giants dealt with a double-edged sword in Week 3. On the one hand, Daniel Jones took the reins of New York’s offense and delivered an awesome performance. Unfortunately, during the game, the Giants (and fantasy gamers) lost Saquon Barkley. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon talk about the reverberations of those events in this week’s fantasy football podcast (0:40).With Saquon out for a few weeks, do we trust Wayne Gallman to carry the load? And can Daniel Jones continue to spread the ball around to his receivers in the weeks to come the way he did against Tampa Bay, without his star running back alongside him?[Play in Yahoo’s NFL $400K Baller. $10 entry fee and $50K to first place]Elsewhere in the NFL, Melvin Gordon ended his holdout on Wednesday evening, and the screams of everyone who had been riding Austin Ekeler these past three weeks were heard the world over (4:40). But hey, it’s not all bad — Gordon won’t be active for Week 4; he probably will need a couple weeks before entering his full workload. So, to everyone rostering Ekeler: Enjoy the Miami Dolphins up next!In their second trade in as many weeks, the Pittsburgh Steelers traded a 2020 5th round pick for Seahawks TE Nick Vannett. Liz & Matt discuss what the trade could mean in both Seattle and Western Pennsylvania (11:10).Liz and Matt are then joined by Dalton Del Don to discuss the strange wide receiver situation in fantasy, and how the current top 30 at the position is full of some unexpected names (SAMMY WATKINS IS NO. 3, FOR GOD’S SAKE). You’ll recall, Dalton wrote up a draft piece on the Zero-WR method. He discusses how his piece is reflected by this weird top-30 (21:55).Speaking of wide receivers, T.Y. Hilton has been enjoying a great start to the season, but he’s now dealing with a quad injury. Our experts discuss recommendations for replacing him if he has to miss Week 4 vs. Oakland (30:35).After discussing all that, our experts then preview some key Week 4 matchups (32:55) and close out the show with some daily fantasy bargains and fades (40:40).Oh, and don’t forget to join the Week 4 NFL $400K Baller daily fantasy contest. Ep 82Week 3 Recap: It's Daniel Jones and Kyle Allen's NFL, we just live in it

What if I told you that the top-scoring fantasy quarterbacks of Week 3 before Sunday Night Football would be Patrick Mahomes (duh), Russell Wilson (fine), Deshaun Watson (expected), DANIEL JONES (huh?) and KYLE ALLEN (what?!)?I’d sound crazy, but in a week when 20 quarterbacks under the age of 26 started an NFL game, that indeed is the result at the quarterback position #TheFutureIsNow. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss those performances and much more in the latest Yahoo Fantasy Football podcast. They open the show recapping a trio of games: the Lamar Jackson/Patrick Mahomes duel in Kansas City (0:35), Russell Wilson and Tyler Locket putting up some impressive numbers against the Saints (3:30) and and the disappointing Chargers showing at home against the Texans (6:05).Kyle Allen and Daniel Jones showed out for their respective teams en route to impressive victories. Daniel Jones — who lost Saquon Barkley to an ankle injury early — attacked the Buccaneers with his arm and his legs, totaling four touchdowns (11:10). Allen helped showcase just how potent this Panthers offense can be, aiding Christian McCaffrey, Greg Olsen, and Curtis Samuel to big days (16:05). Elsewhere in the NFL, the dominant 49ers from last weekend? They were nowhere to be seen, barely eking out a win versus the uninspired Steelers (23:45). Matt breaks down another week with his roller-coaster favorite team. The Vikings continued to prove that this is the Dalvin Cook show, with some Adam Thielen sprinkled in (three catches, 55 yards, one touchdown, one rush, one touchdown) (27:20). It’s Cook’s third 100+ yard rushing game of the season.Playing without DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery, Carson Wentz and the Eagles primarily turned to Miles Sanders (126 total yards) and Nelson Agholor (50 yards, two touchdowns) in a loss against the Lions (30:55). How will this offense look when everyone is healthy again? The Atlanta Falcons continue to put up great numbers for their fantasy owners, but have a hard time pulling away with the W in real life. Matt and Liz try to make sense of this confounding team (34:15). No one is confused about Minshew Mania, however. Liz takes a victory lap after the Jags got their first win of the season against the Tennessee Titans and our experts wonder not when, but if Nick Foles will return (36:45).Liz and Matt wrap up this episode talking pickups for Week 4, including Phillip Dorsett, Preston Williams and coming off his surprising Week 3 performance, Buffalo Bills tight end, Dawson Knox (41:30).Please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBCheck out the rest of the Yahoo Sports Podcast family at https://apple.co/2Abi8jk or at yahoosports.com/podcasts See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 81Week 3 Preview: New QB roundup, plus injured units in KC and PHI

If the story of Week 2 were the star QBs injured and out for the foreseeable future, then the story of Week 3 are the fresh faces we'll be seeing in their places. On this edition of the Yahoo Fantasy Football Podcast, Liz Loza & Matt Harmon dive into the offenses we'll be seeing this weekend manned by unproven young passers.First, Mason Rudolph is stepping in for Big Ben with the Steelers. How will the 2018 third-rounder fare versus a San Francisco team that stomped all over Cincinnati last weekend (1:35).With Drew Brees reportedly out for six weeks, will we see our first QB-by-committee in New Orleans, led by Teddy Bridgewater and Taysom Hill (7:15)?Who is Kyle Allen and why is he being discussed in my fantasy podcast? Liz & Matt are surprisingly excited about Cam Newton's backup in Carolina and the loaded cast of skill players at his disposal (12:20).Finally, it's the end of an era in New York. With Eli Manning passing the torch to Daniel Jones this weekend in Tampa Bay, this can't possibly be a downgrade for the Giants, right (16:25)?The injury monster reared its ugly head of late, and it has not stopped terrorizing the league since. David Njoku took a brutal hit on Monday Night Football, fracturing his wrist and leaving the game with a concussion. DeSean Jackson is out with a hip strain, and he’s not the only Eagle dealing with ailments. LeSean McCoy looked set to get his first start in the Kansas City backfield ... and then he hurt his ankle. Luckily, there’s no structural damage, but both he and Damien Williams are questionable for Sunday’s matchup against the Ravens.Liz Loza and Matt Harmon are joined by Yahoo's very own Andy Behrens to process all these injuries and who could be the beneficiary of these absences this weekend (24:15).[Play in Yahoo’s NFL $500K Baller. $10 entry fee and $50K to first place]After discussing all that, our experts then preview some key Week 3 matchups (39:45) and close out the show with some daily fantasy bargains and fades (45:50).Oh, and don’t forget to join the Week 3 NFL $500K Baller daily fantasy contest. Ep 80Week 2 Recap: Niners and Chiefs roll and time to give up on Cam?

The San Francisco 49ers didn’t do much to impress, fantasy-wise, in Week 1. They did win, 31-17, but it was their strong defense that stole the show. Well, things changed in Week 2, as everything on the offensive side of the ball seemed to be working for the Kyle Shanahan-led unit en route to a 41-17 domination of the Cincinnati Bengals. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon break down that performance and more in this week’s Yahoo Fantasy Football Podcast (0:20).Can’t mention the 49ers without mentioning the fact that Matt chose them to be the team he’d be a lifelong fan of in 2019, and he’s definitely pleased with his choice after Week 2. Jimmy Garoppolo, Deebo Samuel, Marquise Goodwin, Raheem Mostert, Jeff Wilson, and Matt Breida all shined individually in this game. While the Niners looked great, it called into sharp contrast Matt's previous lifelong favorite team: the Carolina Panthers. Liz & Matt debate the Panthers' crushing Thursday night loss and whether fantasy owners should give up on Cam Newton (3:30).Elsewhere in the NFL, a tale of two tight ends: Will Dissly shined with two touchdowns, while O.J. Howard continued to disappoint in Tampa (7:00). Speaking of disappointments, the Steelers continued to struggle on offense with and without Big Ben (10:10).The Patrick Mahomes-led Chiefs continue to be great, although the lack of a running game — and a Sammy Watkins repeat (though he did have 13 targets) — were a bit alarming considering the Raiders were beaten early in this game (14:35).Fantasy gamers suffered through the entire Rams-Saints game with bated breath, awaiting word of the extent of Drew Brees’ injury (22:25).One team with very few worries right now are the Dallas Cowboys, who are getting great production out of just about everybody (28:25).Liz and Matt wrap up this episode talking pickups for Week 3, including the ageless, probably immortal Frank Gore (32:50) and all of the Jacksonville wide receivers (35:35).Please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBCheck out the rest of the Yahoo Sports Podcast family at https://apple.co/2Abi8jk or at yahoosports.com/podcasts See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 79Week 2 Preview: Jets and Chargers injuries emerge, 'Tilted or Jilted'

Well, the Week 2 action is here, but we’ve already begun dealing with the injury monster. Once again, Hunter Henry has fallen victim, this time thanks to a fracture in his left knee. His fellow Charger, Mike Williams, is also dealing with a knee injury of his own. Sadly, Derrius Guice underwent surgery for a torn meniscus and will be sidelined for about eight weeks. Quincy Enunwa is out for the year with a neck injury.Oh, and speaking of Jets, quarterback Sam Darnold will also miss some time ... with mono. It’s been rough being a Jets fan of late, to say the least.Liz Loza and Matt Harmon break down all those injuries on this week’s Yahoo Fantasy podcast, starting with the weirdness in East Rutherford (0:20), moving to the bad vibes in LA (6:40) and wrapping up with Guice's Thursday morning surgery with Dr. James Andrews (10:35).Liz and Matt are joined this week by the human sports encyclopedia, Scott Pianowski to go through some overreactions to Week 1 — specifically, which players have left them jilted or tilted from the likes of Tyler Lockett, Corey Davis, Aaron Rodgers, Devin Singletary and Geronimo Allison (15:50).Our experts then preview some key Week 2 matchups (31:25) and close out the show with some daily fantasy bargains and fades (44:15).Please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBFollow Scott @scott_pianowski See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 78Week 1 Recap: Rookie WRs go off in Week 1, rookie RBs...not so much

Before we get into all the most important talking points of the first Sunday of Week 1, Liz Loza and Matt Harmon would be remiss if they didn’t talk about the mind-boggling Antonio Brown situation (0:10). This is the stuff conspiracy theories are made for. After all the craziness of AB’s extremely short-lived tenure with the Raiders, Brown is now a member of the New England Patriots. Tom Brady will now have the luxury of throwing to Julian Edelman, Josh Gordon, and Brown. Can’t make this stuff up, folks. But let’s move onto a wild football Sunday, starting with the tie in Arizona (5:05). Was the come-from-behind stalemate a good sign for Kyler Murray and Kliff Kingsbury's air raid offense?Jacksonville’s offense suffered a massive blow on Sunday, losing quarterback Nick Foles to a broken clavicle. Rookie Gardner Minshew entered and threw the football well, but the Jags couldn’t keep up with the Chiefs machine (10:00). What does this mean for the outlooks of Leonard Fournette, Dede Westbrook, D.J. Chark, and Chris Conley (who all had their moments on Sunday)?Liz and Matt then run down some of the rookie performances on Sunday, and, well, the rookie receivers outclassed their running back counterparts (16:30). Led by Marquise “Hollywood” Brown (4 catches, 147 yards, 2 TDs), A.J. Brown (3 catches, 100 yards) and Terry McLaurin (5 catches, 125 yards, 1 TD) showed OUT early, while Devin Singletary (4 rushes, 70 yds/5 catches, 28 yds), David Montgomery (10 rushes, 18 yds/1 rec, 27 yds), and Miles Sanders (11 rushes, 25 yds/1 catch, 2 yds) had their moments, but couldn’t outshine the receivers. We received as hard of a confirmation as we could have possibly gotten from the Minnesota Vikings’ new offensive philosophy, as running back Dalvin Cook took his 23 touches for 113 total yards and two TDs (35:40). For comparison, Kirk Cousins had just 10 passing attempts. One confirmation we didn’t receive this week was the expected high-flying Browns offense, which totally bottomed out this week.Baker Mayfield had an ugly day, throwing three picks, and the offense just couldn’t get any consistency going against the Titans (39:00). On the flip-side, the Baltimore Ravens had EVERYTHING going on Sunday, crushing the Dolphins, 59-10. Lamar Jackson silenced his haters (at least this week) by throwing five touchdowns and completing 85 percent of his passes. Oh, and he had just three rushing attempts. Please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYB See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 77Week 1 Preview: Zeke's back, AB is not

In this episode of the Yahoo Fantasy Football podcast, Liz Loza and Matt Harmon tackle some of the biggest news of the NFL ahead of Week 1, and you’d be hard-pressed to find bigger news than Antonio Brown’s supposed, impending suspension. After a reported altercation between AB and Raiders GM Mike Mayock, it seems like any wishes fantasy gamers had of a resurgent AB in Oakland are going up in smoke. Before they get to AB, Jerry Jones gave Ezekiel Elliott the richest RB-contract in NFL history, and the star runner is set to take the field in Week 1. Our experts discuss the fantasy fallout of Zeke’s return, including the subsequent dimmed outlook for Tony Pollard (0:20).Also in the news, OBJ is still being bothered by his hip injury (7:15). What can fantasy owners expect out of the electric receiver? From one stud receiver to another, Julio Jones' status for opening weekend is also in question (9:30). To wrap up the receiver talk, Matt & Liz discuss the latest soap operatics from Oakland's erratic Antonio Brown (15:15).Liz and Matt are then joined by Yahoo’s very own, The Reverend, Andy Behrens. They reveal some of their boldest predictions for 2019, including Andy’s call of Larry Fitzgerald leading the NFL in receptions, Liz expecting Jimmy Garoppolo to finish as a top-15 fantasy QB, and Matt predicting that Miles Sanders ultimately outscores fellow rookie running back, David Montgomery, on route to a top-15 finish (20:50).Finally, they wrap up the show with a preview of Week 1, focusing in on Lions/Cardinals, Steelers/Patriots, Chiefs/Jaguars and Rams/Panthers (44:00).Please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBFollow Andy @AndyBehrens See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 76All those crazy Texans trades, plus PPR receiver roundup

In this episode of the Yahoo Fantasy Football podcast, Liz Loza and Matt Harmon call each other early on Labor Day morning to go over the weekend's whirlwind roster moves starting with the one guy who can't quite decide if he wants to show up for work this week: Ezekiel Elliott (1:00).They keep it in Texas and move to the Houston Texans' bevy of trades which saw them lose Jadeveon Clowney but add Laremy Tunsil, Kenny Stills and Carlos Hyde. Liz & Matt analyze this suddenly new-look Texans offense (4:55).In other weekend moves, Liz & Matt discuss the Kansas City Chiefs signing LeSean McCoy (13:40) and the Patriots shuffling of Josh Gordon and Demaryius Thomas (18:50).Next up, our experts take a deep dive into the players who are often overlooked in the wide receiver landscape, but can prove to be PPR assets this fantasy season. The slot receivers who often don’t get the star treatment of their outside-counterparts but who do a lot of the dirty work on the field. Liz and Matt talk about the fantasy outlooks of slot receivers like Adam Humphries, Hunter Renfrow, Cole Beasley, Trey Quinn, Jamison Crowder, and Willie Snead (21:05).Finally, they wrap up the show taking a pair of listener voicemails on what to do in the fifth round of drafts and the oddities of return yardage leagues (39:45).Remember to leave your voicemail for a future episode at 888-85-YAHOO (that's 888-859-2466).And please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYB See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 75Overvalued/undervalued, McKinnon stays sidelined and AFC East preview

Another day, another curveball for the 49ers backfield. After reports that Jerick McKinnon is suffering a setback in his ACL recovery, Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss the San Francisco backfield and how, while the news is disappointing, it actually adds clarity to the previously foggy RB situation (1:10).Later, our experts are joined by Christopher Harris of HarrisFootball.com to debate players whom they’re wayyyy off the consensus on (6:40). Some of these players include Mark Ingram and Stefon Diggs (who our experts are higher on than most) and James Conner and Kyler Murray (lower on than the consensus). Our experts then preview the AFC East New England Patriots (33:30), New York Jets (39:30), Buffalo Bills (45:20) and Miami Dolphins (49:20).Remember to leave your voicemail for a future episode at 888-85-YAHOO (that's 888-859-2466).And please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYB See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 74Luck retires, Cam's foot, Lamar Miller's ACL and NFC East preview

To the surprise of pretty much the entire sports world, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck announced that he was retiring from football on Saturday, August 24. If you can imagine the shockwave Luck’s retirement made throughout the NFL, then the reverberations his decision have made and will continue to make in fantasy football are just as big. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon break down the stunning events in this episode of the Yahoo Fantasy Football Podcast (0:30).Jacoby Brissett will now be the starting QB of the Colts. Liz and Matt give their thoughts on Brissett being a viable fantasy option now that he’s at the helm of this offense. And speaking of which, what does this all mean for the fantasy weapons of Indy? Big names like T.Y. Hilton, Marlon Mack, and Eric Ebron all have to be viewed in a different light in fantasy drafts (12:40).Elsewhere in the NFL, Cam Newton went down with a sprained left feet during the Panthers third preseason game against the Patriots. Lots of optimism surrounded Newton after he showed off a new throwing motion and some pretty deep ball completions in training camp. Panthers GM Marty Hurney said the team is “cautiously optimistic” that Newton would be ready by Week 1. Liz and Matt give their thoughts on the matter (21:15).The Houston Texans' Lamar Miller also went down with an injury over the weekend and the worst was confirmed, as he was placed on the IR with a torn ACL. Matt & Liz discuss the confusing RB situation in Houston and ask whether the Texans' starter is even on their roster right now (22:45).Our experts then preview the NFC East New York Giants (27:50), Washington Redskins (40:30), Philadelphia Eagles (44:20) and Dallas Cowboys (50:40).Remember to leave your voicemail for a future episode at 888-85-YAHOO (that's 888-859-2466).And please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBCheck out the rest of the Yahoo Sports Podcast family at https://apple.co/2Abi8jk or at yahoosports.com/podcasts See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 71Andrew Luck's mysterious injury, 4 WRs to avoid and AFC South preview

Well, this isn’t good. After a report that Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck would probably not play the entire preseason this year because of a calf injury, Colts’ owner Jim Irsay said it’s a bone issue. And before talking about this “small little bone,” Irsay referenced Kevin Durant (we all remember what happened to KD’s Achilles in the NBA Finals) and how everyone is erring on the side of caution after the new Brooklyn Net’s injury.[Join or create a 2019 Yahoo Fantasy Football league for free today]This is obviously not the news fantasy football gamers want to hear in regards to Luck. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon try to make sense of it all in this episode of the Yahoo Fantasy Football Podcast. Is it his calf? Is it his ankle? What “small bone?” Luck is one of the few quarterbacks who can actually challenge Patrick Mahomes for the title of top fantasy QB in 2019, as Luck’s situation in Indy is arguably the best it’s ever been since he was drafted. Yet, what does this injury mean for his fantasy value (1:20)?After discussing this bit of bad Luck (get it?), Josh Norris of RotoWorld calls in to help Matt and Liz put some players on notice. They warn fantasy owners about the likes of Nelson Agholor, Rashaad Penny, Dante Pettis, Sammy Watkins and Jarvis Landry (7:00).Josh and our experts then preview the AFC South Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Texans, Tennessee Titans, and aforementioned Indianapolis Colts for fantasy (28:00).To wrap up the show, Matt & Liz take a listener voicemail about the Los Angeles Rams confounding backfield situation (47:10).Remember to leave your voicemail for a future episode at 888-85-YAHOO (that's 888-859-2466).And please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBCheck out the rest of the Yahoo Sports Podcast family at https://apple.co/2Abi8jk or at yahoosports.com/podcasts See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 69Should you avoid drafting Ezekiel Elliott & Melvin Gordon?

Liz Loza and Matt Harmon are joined in this episode of the Yahoo Fantasy Football Podcast by a familiar face (and very familiar voice), the Big Noise himself, Brad Evans! Before they can get to the regularly scheduled program, Liz, Matt and Brad have the great David Montgomery debate of 2019 (1:00). Friendships will be tested. Minds will be opened. Chicago running backs will be discussed.Next, they dissect one of the looming stories of fantasy draft season: The major holdouts of Melvin Gordon and Ezekiel Elliott (8:45). We already went through a tough year (or lack thereof) with Le’Veon Bell last season, and nobody wants to deal with that again.[Join or create a 2019 Yahoo Fantasy Football league for free today]So, our experts discuss how to manage holdouts in fantasy. As the holdouts cause the running backs to fall in drafts, when is it the right time to scoop them up?Speaking of running backs, Liz, Matt, and Brad discuss the runners of Round 1 (19:45). How many should go in the round? Saquon Barkley, Ezekiel Elliott, Christian McCaffrey, Alvin Kamara, and David Johnson seem like virtual locks, but what about the likes of James Conner, Melvin Gordon, Le’Veon Bell, Joe Mixon, Nick Chubb, Dalvin Cook — and even Todd Gurley? Our experts finish up by previewing the AFC North Cleveland Browns (26:45), Baltimore Ravens (31:20), Pittsburgh Steelers (38:10) and Cincinnati Bengals (49:10).Remember to leave your voicemail for a future episode at 888-85-YAHOO (that's 888-859-2466).And please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBFollow Brad @YahooNoise See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 67Early injury reverberations, drumbeats, and Hollywood tales

Training Camp is in full swing, and players are already doing their best to show out. Unfortunately, not all is well. As players begin to up their intensity, so too does the risk of injury rise. We’re seeing some big names banged up already, with the biggest headline involving A.J. Green, who suffered yet another lower-body injury, this time to his ankle. He will reportedly not be on the field for a couple of regular season games. The Bengals have been hit hard by injuries to the O-line too — so what should fantasy gamers do about this team (3:50)?Liz and Matt help fantasy gamers sift through the early wave of injuries in this week’s fantasy football podcast.[Join or create a 2019 Yahoo Fantasy Football league for free today]Elsewhere in injury and transaction news, Matt and Liz cover the Lions cutting RB Theo Riddick and the health scares caused by Titans RB Derrick Henry and Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill (22:15)On to a more positive note, the fantasy drumbeat continues to grow for key players (26:15). Curtis Samuel, a Harmon favorite, continues to shine in camp. Jordan Howard is reportedly getting first-team reps with the Eagles thus far, which may damper the thoughts of Miles Sanders’ truthers. Ep 66Thirst-trappers, NFL villains, and player props

Let’s face it: Every single fantasy football draft season, we as fantasy gamers all fall in love with that one specific player that we become convinced is gonna go off. Whether it’s the hype or the analysis or the predictions, we’re certain that this player will take us to the fantasy promised land. And then it all goes to crap, and the player either does nothing or fails to meet any and all expectations. We get thirst-trapped.[Join or create a 2019 Yahoo Fantasy Football league for free today]For many, the 2018 version of that thirst-trapper was Royce Freeman (sorry Brad). But hey, it happens to us all. People got thirsty for Freeman. So, who are people getting thirsty for this season? In this episode of the Yahoo Fantasy Football Podcast, Liz Loza and Matt Harmon identify the players who fantasy gamers are set to be thirst-trapped by (4:30). They include Geronimo Allison, Darrell Henderson, Austin Ekeler, Derrius Guice, and Kenny Golladay, to name a few.Next, our experts talk about the experience of being at Comic-Con last week, where Marvel revealed a plethora of movies for Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With Thanos out of the picture, the MCU has a hole where villains should be, but the NFL and fantasy sure don’t.Yet, where there are villains, there’s the chance for redemption. So, Liz and Matt choose who the football villains of 2019 are and whether they deserve another shot (22:30). Are we to forgive the likes of Corey Davis, Leonard Fournette, Marquise Goodwin, Devin Funchess, and Trey Burton? Finally, Liz and Matt talk through some player props for the 2019 season (42:00).Remember to leave your voicemail for a future episode at 888-85-YAHOO (that's 888-859-2466).And please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBCheck out the rest of the Yahoo Sports Podcast family at https://apple.co/2Abi8jk or at yahoosports.com/podcasts See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 65Strange fantasy takes from the upside-down and 2019 NFL divisional futures

As much as summer is full of outdoorsy activities, it’s also a season to binge watch TV shows (the television and air conditioner are especially enticing when it’s 100 degrees outside). In this episode of the Yahoo Fantasy Football Podcast, Liz Loza and Matt Harmon investigate some fantasy takes through the lens of their latest obsession: season three of Stranger Things. They talk about some NFL takes that might be could be from the upside-down but might be more likely than you think, including:- how Royce Freeman could be Denver's top back this year (4:40)- why Tom Brady should be ignored in drafts (11:10)- why the Cardinals' run game will be more impressive than its new-look passing attack (17:25)- a claim that a certain ornery Giants WR could maintain fantasy relevance on an otherwise crappy team (26:00)[Join or create a 2019 Yahoo Fantasy Football league for free today]Moving away from strange scenarios, Liz and Matt look to 2019 NFL future bets and go through some divisional winner odds, picking out some value picks and some stay-aways (31:40).Remember to leave your voicemail for a future episode at 888-85-YAHOO (that's 888-859-2466).And please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBCheck out the rest of the Yahoo Sports Podcast family at https://apple.co/2Abi8jk or at yahoosports.com/podcasts See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 64Melvin Gordon drama, late-round QB strategy and 2nd year breakout candidates

Fantasy Football players awoke to the news that stud running back Melvin Gordon was holding out against the Los Angeles Chargers in an attempt to receive a new contract. According to Gordon, he will not be reporting to camp until a new deal is made. If no deal is made, he will demand a trade!Matt Harmon and Liz Loza break this news down and much more in this week’s Fantasy Football Podcast episode (2:15).[Join or create a 2019 Yahoo Fantasy Football league for free today]If Gordon indeed lives up to his demands, does this affect your thoughts on his fantasy draft value? He’s been a perennial first-round talent the last couple of seasons, but as we’ve seen with Le’Veon Bell, a draft-day fall could be in the cards for the Chargers RB. On that same note, does Austin Ekeler become more than just a handcuff now?Liz and Matt then move onto quarterback strategies for fantasy drafts. They’ve preached waiting on a QB as opposed to investing a high pick on names like Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson too early. They talk about which QBs to target and which to avoid if you wait on QB until the late rounds (7:05).Our experts then return to the 2018 draft class, the class that gave us the likes of Baker Mayfield and Saquon Barkley. Liz and Matt take a long look at the class and see which now-second-year players — guys like DJ Moore, Sony Michel, Kerryon Johnson, and Hayden Hurst — are set to take a Mahomes-level sophomore leap this season (22:20).Finally, Liz and Matt reveal some early draft trends they’ve noticed from their time in the Scott Fish Bowl this year (46:25).Remember to leave your voicemail for a future episode at 888-85-YAHOO (that's 888-859-2466).And please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBCheck out the rest of the Yahoo Sports Podcast family at https://apple.co/2Abi8jk or at yahoosports.com/podcasts See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 63Best Ball is here — and let's declare independence from crappy takes!

Summer is here, and that’s not the only thing to get excited about. In this week’s fantasy football podcast, Liz Loza and Matt Harmon talk about the launch of Yahoo’s new game, Best Ball (1:50)! Yahoo Fantasy Best Ball launched on desktop with free public leagues and will be launching on mobile later this summer, along with private and paid leagues. If you’ve never played or never heard of Best Ball before, it’s a format that removes the week-to-week roster management and automatically starts your best players every week. Doesn’t get any more convenient than that. Best Ball highlights the best part of fantasy (the draft) and takes away the grind of the regular season.[Join or create a 2019 Yahoo Fantasy Football league for free today]You’ll draft 20 players overall and every week the highest scorers at each position will be automatically added to your lineup. That’s 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 TE, 1 FLEX & 1 DEF/ST (nope, no kicker). No adds, drops, or trades. Best Ball is about your drafting skills and your ability to construct strong rosters. And since it automatically chooses the highest scorers at each position, that means you won’t have to worry about that random Sunday where DeSean Jackson goes nuts for 170 yards and 3 TDs — on your bench.Next up in this episode, Liz and Matt wanted to talk a little bit about independence (20:15). With the 4th of July around the corner, they decide to declare themselves independent from all those fantasy football takes that suck. Things like not drafting a guy because he did nothing for you the year before. What fantasy football takes are you canceling this year?Remember to leave your voicemail for a future episode at 888-85-YAHOO (that's 888-859-2466).And please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBCheck out the rest of the Yahoo Sports Podcast family at https://apple.co/2Abi8jk or at yahoosports.com/podcasts See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 62TE strategies, RB/WR 'stayaways' — and is Brett Favre coming back!? No.

So, how high are you drafting Brett Favre in your 2020 fantasy football drafts? By now you’ve no doubt come into contact with the random, now-deleted Instagram post from the man himself claiming to be coming out of retirement for the 2020 season. So, because why not, Liz Loza and Matt Harmon start this week’s fantasy football podcast trying to answer the question: Where should Favre be in the 2020 fantasy QB rankings? In more believable news, Kyle Rudolph — who was recently speculated to be a trade candidate — signed an extension with the Minnesota Vikings. So, with this new information, who is the more draftable Viking tight end: Rudolph, rookie Irv Smith, or neither?[Join or create a 2019 Yahoo Fantasy Football league for free today]On the subject of tight ends — which were such a headache in 2018 — Liz and Matt offer some general strategies for drafting them (4:35). Are they reaching for the top tier trio of Zach Ertz, Travis Kelce, and George Kittle, or are they waiting to fill the position? And if they wait, what are their thoughts on streaming tight ends week-to-week from the later rounds?Next up, Liz and Matt outline who they’re not only looking to avoid but who they’re staying away from in drafts at both running back (24:55) and wide receiver (. They split the positions by tiers and reveal who they will not be targeting (34:45).Remember to leave your voicemail for a future episode at 888-85-YAHOO (that's 888-859-2466).And please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBCheck out the rest of the Yahoo Sports Podcast family at https://apple.co/2Abi8jk or at yahoosports.com/podcasts See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 61To keep or not to keep Christian McCaffrey, 'Ma'am's,' and QB updates

In this week’s fantasy football podcast, Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss what a “Fantasy Ma’am” is. A “Fantasy Ma’am.” Yes, Liz delves into ... whatever that is.Later, our experts deliver some quarterback news. Russell Wilson has come out and said he wants to play until he’s 45 (but will the Seahawks protect him enough to achieve that goal?). Andy Dalton apparently loves his new head coach, Zac Taylor, while Baker Mayfield is being drafted ahead of the likes of Matt Ryan and Drew Brees — are gamers getting too hyped on the Browns signal caller, or is the hype warranted?[Join or create a 2019 Yahoo Fantasy Football league for free today]Liz and Matt got an interesting voicemail this week. A fantasy football gamer has been debating whether he should forego the 10th overall pick in his 10-player, full-PPR keeper league draft in favor of keeping stud running back, Christian McCaffrey.Run-CMC went nuts in fantasy last season, delivering first round value. And lest we forget, McCaffrey went viral earlier this year for showcasing Hulk-like arms, so maybe the best is yet to come? That said, this particular fantasy gamer is questioning keeping him and letting his draft pick go, especially considering that Carolina added Jordan Scarlett and Elijah Holyfield in the 2019 NFL Draft. Ep 60Breakout WR candidates and rookie RBs to watch out for

June is here, and we’re edging closer and closer to fantasy football draft season. Gamers and industry experts alike are already mocking, including our very own Liz Loza and Matt Harmon. Everyone has their own specific processes for getting themselves ready to draft. Reading material and tools aplenty exist, and Matt himself happens to be a pioneer of a popular one.In this week’s podcast episode Matt and Liz discuss exactly what Reception Perception is, how it works, and how it can help fantasy players with their wide receivers (7:40).Key things have stood out to Matt this year, like the massive gap between the Panthers WRs (13:50), the elite success of Calvin Ridley (24:50), and the truth of Amari Cooper as a Dallas Cowboy (24:50). Oh, and Michael Thomas had perhaps the best season Matt’s ever tracked over the last 5 years (30:10).[Join or create a 2019 Yahoo Fantasy Football league for free today]Liz and Matt also delve deeper into the pool of lesser-known rookie running backs, talking about the likes of Benny Snell, RyQuell Armstead, and Dexter Williams (36:20).Oh, and Gerald McCoy signed with the Carolina Panthers (4:25) — any thoughts, 49ers fans?Remember to leave your voicemail for a future episode at 888-85-YAHOO (that's 888-859-2466).And please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYB See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 59Industry mock drafts and the grey area between RB1s and 2s

We’re in the waning days of May, but it’s never too early to talk fantasy football, and one of the most enjoyable aspects of the offseason is being able to mock draft. Matt Harmon and Liz Loza have been taking part in some industry mocks lately, and they start off this week’s fantasy football podcast episode by talking about the drafts they’ve completed thus far (5:00).As you know, our fantasy football experts have been putting out their team previews for the 2019 season, and most recently they took on the Indianapolis Colts. Liz filmed a video in which she questioned whether Colts running back Marlon Mack can finish the season in the RB1 tier. Can he join the likes of Saquon Barkley, Ezekiel Elliott, and Alvin Kamara? On that same note, which other running backs are worthy of the fantasy RB1 tier? Liz and Matt take on the backs who fall in that grey area between RB1 and RB2 including Mack, Damien Williams, James Conner, David Johnson, Melvin Gordon, Le'Veon Bell, Nick Chubb and Dalvin Cook (17:00).[Join or create a 2019 Yahoo Fantasy Football league for free today]Finally, Liz and Matt tackle the over/under win totals for the AFC/NFC South (34:50) and the AFC/NFC West teams (41:50). Can the Rams and Chiefs repeat as double-digit victory division winners? Will Tampa Bay and Oakland reach .500?Remember to leave your voicemail for a future episode at 888-85-YAHOO (that's 888-859-2466).And please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYB See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 58Questionable WR groups, plus AFC/NFC North win totals

There are 32 teams in the NFL, yet how many of them boast a true WR1? Sure, the Texans have DeAndre Hopkins, the Falcons Julio Jones, but not every team is so lucky. Matt Harmon and Liz Loza address this and more in this week’s fantasy football podcast episode. Before we can get to that, we have to get to Liz' exciting weekend at the NFLPA Rookie Premiere party, schmoozing with all the biggest 2019 rookies (0:45). She gets into her Reddit-infamous photo with Denver Broncos QB Drew Lock and dishes the dirt on which rookie QB will now be known as 'the breadstick boy.'[Join or create a 2019 Yahoo Fantasy Football league for free today]Back to those aforementioned wide receivers. The conversation began thanks to a voicemail message Matt and Liz received. The caller asked who is the most relevant wide receiver on the San Francisco 49ers: Dante Pettis, Deebo Samuel, or Jalen Hurd (15:00). Sure, the caller didn’t mention Marquise Goodwin (or Jordan Matthews), but it sheds light on a larger question regarding wide receiver groups lacking a true No. 1 target — a true X-receiver .Liz and Matt discuss some of these WR corps with unclear hierarchies including the Ravens, Bills, Patriots, Jaguars, Panthers, Cardinals, Steelers and Packers (19:00).Finally, Liz and Matt tackle the over/under win totals for the AFC-and-NFC North teams, and it seems like the Cincinnati Bengals and Detroit Lions will be the only teams on the wrong end of .500 (42:30).Remember to leave your voicemail for a future episode at 888-85-YAHOO (that's 888-859-2466)Please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYB See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 57Talking Jets, RB rankings, AFC/NFC East win totals and special guest Boban Marjanović

You know, for a moment there, it seemed like the New York Jets were actually moving in the right direction. Their young quarterback, Sam Darnold, showed signs of potential greatness last season. They hired an offensive-minded head coach in Adam Gase. They signed Le’Veon Bell. The defense looks promising. And then they fired their general manager and vice president of player personnel. Suffice it to say, Liz Loza and Matt Harmon have some thoughts about the state of the Jets’ franchise in this week’s fantasy football podcast episode (0:20).[Join or create a 2019 Yahoo Fantasy Football league for free today]Elsewhere in the NFL, there are whispers of Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph being on the trade block. What with the Vikings’ cap space and their selection of rookie Irv Smith in the 2019 NFL Draft, Rudolph’s future with the team remains up in the air. Where would you like to see him land, were he to be traded?Liz and Matt currently have Rudolph in the late-teens on their TE draft rankings (12:15). They also talk about the state of their current running back draft rankings on this week’s episode (21:05).Moving from fantasy to reality, Liz and Matt try to predict over/under win totals for the NFC-and-AFC East teams (31:05).Normally, Liz and Matt would move onto answering their voicemails, but, in order to discuss something very important, a special guest joined them on this podcast episode:Philadelphia 76ers (very) big man, Boban Marjanović!Boban joined Liz and Matt to discuss the release of his new film, John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum as well as his road to the NBA from Serbia (39:45).Please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYB See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. With the 2019 NFL Draft in the rearview mirror, we’ve been taking a long look at each team’s offseason acquisitions to gauge who got better, who got worse, and who stayed the same. In this week’s fantasy football podcast, Liz Loza and Matt Harmon continue to review the state of some key squads. And how could they talk team changes without mentioning the big trade the Miami Dolphins pulled off that sent quarterback Josh Rosen to the Sunshine State? Is there a chance Chosen Rosen can revive his career as a ‘Fin, or is he just a placeholder in Tankville (2:00)?Liz and Matt also discuss rookie runner Josh Jacobs who, after the unfortunate season-ending Achilles tear suffered by Isaiah Crowell, looks like the man in Oakland (12:40). Ep 53Incoming rookie RBs, and is that a Gronk replacement?

The 2019 NFL Draft is right around the corner. Last week, Liz Loza and Matt Harmon broke down the biggest names at quarterback and tight end, and this week it’s time to look into fantasy football’s glamour position: Running Backs. In this week’s fantasy football podcast however, Matt is joined by Eric Edholm, who returns to Yahoo as our NFL Draft Analyst! Before they get to the draft talk though, the New England Patriots and New York Giants made some noteworthy moves. In the wake of Rob Gronkowski’s retirement, the Pats signed tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins (3:10), and of course he will deliver the same fantasy value as Gronk has always done (insert sarcasm here). The Giants, on the other hand, turned inward, signing wide receiver Sterling Shepard to an extension (7:10). Can he eat sans Odell Beckham, Jr., or will he be hindered by Eli Manning? The incoming running back class is led by Alabama’s Josh Jacobs, but Matt and Eric also discuss what promise (if any) the likes of Miles Sanders, Justice Hill, and Bryce Love will bring to both fantasy and reality (16:20).Please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBFollow Eric @Eric_Edholm See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
