Ep 122Gurley & Gordon find new homes, but where will Cam Newton land?

Well, it’s official: The Cam Newton era is over in Carolina.Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss the Panthers releasing the former MVP and more a bit later on the latest fantasy football podcast.First, two big-name running backs switched teams. The Los Angeles Rams released Todd Gurley, and he was subsequently signed to a one-year deal with the Atlanta Falcons. (3:55)The Denver Broncos signed free agent Melvin Gordon, adding him to a backfield that already contained Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman. Our experts discuss what the moves mean for fantasy. (10:15)Newton reportedly had a successful physical in Atlanta that proved his health, so, with that knowledge in tow, where do we think he’ll land? (18:30)Out of the backfield and switching to out wide, Robby Anderson — signed with the Carolina Panthers (28:00) — and Breshad Perriman — replaced Anderson on the New York Jets — are off the free-agent board. (37:20)Another wide receiver, Devin Funchess, signed with the Green Bay Packers, giving Aaron Rodgers a new ... weapon? (43:20)Liz and Matt breakdown all those moves — and discuss sweatpants, lasagna and kumquats on another quarantine edition of the Yahoo Fantasy Football Podcast. Please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBCheck out the rest of the Yahoo Sports Podcast family at https://apple.co/2Abi8jk or at yahoosports.com/podcasts See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 121Todd Gurley released, QBs on the move as Free Agency continues

What a YEAR this week has been! Tom Brady to the Buccaneers — could Antonio Brown join him? — Philip Rivers to the Colts, both DeAndre Hopkins and Stefon Diggs got traded, and Cam Newton gave a very Cam-Newton-like reply to the Panthers allowing him to seek a trade. (6:56)All in a week’s worth of NFL Free Agency — and it’s not over yet. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss it all and more on the latest fantasy football podcast.Another quarterback was on the move this week: The Jacksonville Jaguars traded Nick Foles to the Chicago Bears. (8:50)Does this mean the Gardner Minshew era has begun in Duval? Should Mitchell Trubisky be terrified?Elsewhere on the QB carousel, the Denver Broncos waived Joe Flacco due to what is being called a “failed physical designation.” Are they going all-in with Drew Lock — or are they about to make a move? And in one of the more shocking moves of the day, the Los Angeles Rams announced they would be releasing star running back, Todd Gurley! (18:24)And speaking of running backs, there is also reported mutual interest between Melvin Gordon and the Buffalo Bills.Got all that? Good, because there’s probably gonna be more to come! Ep 120Tom Brady waves goodbye to New England and more Free Agency talk

Technically, the free agency period for the 2020 NFL season actually starts on March 18th, but you would think we were midway through the period the way the deals have been flying!Liz Loza and Matt Harmon talk about all the biggest moves made in the latest fantasy football podcast. After a Monday that included a mind-boggling DeAndre Hopkins-to-the-Cardinals trade -- that our own Matt Harmon called the worst trade of all time -- and a late-night trade for Stefon Diggs by the Buffalo Bills, Tuesday came in strong as well.It seems like Tom Brady, 6-time Super Bowl champ, is taking his talents to Tampa Bay. We'll look at how TB in TB will impact Mike Evans and Chris Godwin as well. (01:24)Load up the kids into the RV, Phil Rivers is going to Indy. (09:26)Our one word reaction to the Hopkins/Johnson trade: WTF! Okay, that's technically an acronym, but on the bright side Houston signed Randall Cobb tho. (12:23)Stefon Diggs gets traded to Buffalo and adds another weapon to a sneaky good offense. (20:48)If you listen closely you can actually pinpoint the exact moment Matt's heart breaks in two: Cam Newton is likely to be traded or cut in Carolina... and will be replaced by Teddy Bridgewater. (28:37)Bears add Jimmy Graham and Robert Quinn. But not all hope is lost, Chicago is reportedly interested in Nick Foles or Andy Dalton. (36:52)Browns add Austin Hooper and Jack Conklin while fantasy football writers nationwide get ready to write about the loaded Browns offense ... again. (43:54)Falcons replace Austin Hooper with former Raven Hayden Hurst. (45:32)And our experts will continue to talk through all the news as the updates keep coming! Please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYB See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 119NFL Dysfunctional Franchise Power Rankings

This second week of March is not the busiest time in the NFL calendar. In the valley between the combine and the start of free agency, with an important labor vote potentially getting resolved over the weekend, NFL fans and prognosticators alike feel like they're about to crest the first drop of a roller coaster. Lots of anticipation. Not much action.Have no fear, the Yahoo Fantasy Football Podcast still rolls out the important #content on a weekly basis. Inspired by last week's discussion of Amari Cooper's bumpy tenures in Oakland & Dallas, Matt Harmon & Liz Loza spend the podcast today doing their first annual NFL Franchise Dysfunction Rankings. After a shared top 4 of the usual clown show franchises (hello, Dan Snyder!), the real arguments begin. Why are Matt & Liz so far apart on the Cowboys and Patriots? Are the Lions truly a bad franchise or is their consistency worthy of praise? Is the Bill O’Brien era in Houston a sign of operational competency or ineptitude? Why are our hosts so low on the Steelers? New logo aside, are the Rams truly a top tier franchise or are they teetering on the verge of being the Chargers? Please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBCheck out the rest of the Yahoo Sports Podcast family at https://apple.co/2Abi8jk or at yahoosports.com/podcasts See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 117Brady on the move? Bucs on the QB hunt? The NFL Combine rumor mill is in full swing!

The NFL Scouting Combine has begun, and so too the rumor mill begins to spin. Everything from Cam Newton to Joe Burrow’s hands have already been discussed.Liz Loza and Matt Harmon run down those storylines and more in the latest fantasy football podcast.ESPN's Jeff Darlington is reporting sources close to Tom Brady is evaluating free agency with the intention of departing. Is someone punking the American public or should you order your TB12 Las Vegas Raiders jersey right now? (3:45)The Tampa Bay Buccaneers raised eyebrows when head coach Bruce Arians and General Manager Jason Licht spoke on the future of the quarterback position. Arians said he’d like to see "Tom Brady. Philip (Rivers) is another guy. We'll see." Jameis Winston’s days as Tampa’s starting QB might be numbered. (10:20)[Yahoo Sportsbook powered by BetMGM: Deposit $10, Get $100 in Free Bets. NJ only. 21+. What I’ve told everybody I’ve been in touch with since I took this job is we’re gonna evaluate every position every year. If we can get better, we will.” (14:45)Further north in the NFC South, the Panthers brain trust has opened up a little more on on the future of Cam Newton with the team. Could he be on the trading block? (18:05)Ron Rivera and the Redskins' brass reportedly met with Tua Tagovailoa and Joe Burrow at the combine. Could the Skins really be exploring moving on from Dwayne Haskins, Jr.? (23:30)After some rumors that Joe Burrow could pull an Eli Manning and turn his back on Bengals at the podium (and some hilarious talk of the size of his hands), he set the record straight, saying he’d absolutely report to Cincinnati. (27:10)Elsewhere in the rumor mill, Dave Gettleman is saying Dave Gettleman things in New York about the Giants' fourth overall pick (29:15), while the Bears are taking their sweet time deciding what to do with Mitch Trubisky’s fifth-year option. (33:00)Next up, our experts go into detail on Liz’s top prospects to watch at the combine: CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma; Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama; Henry Ruggs III, WR, Alabama; D’Andre Swift, RB, Georgia; JK Dobbins, RB, Ohio State; Jonathan Taylor, RB, Wisconsin. It’s the second full week of February, and for many folks, that means love is in the air — yes, Valentine’s Day.And in the spirit of happy couples, Liz Loza and Matt Harmon decided to play matchmaker in the latest fantasy football podcast. But instead of bringing couples to the perfect V-Day restaurant or pairing a significant other with the perfect gift, they’re taking the top soon-to-be free agents and placing them in a new team.[Yahoo Sportsbook powered by BetMGM: Deposit $10, Get $100 in Free Bets. (25:40) Kenyan Drake was broken up with (freed?) by the Miami Dolphins and went on to produce successfully with the Cardinals — so is this pairing the real thing? Matt thinks he should not have FLEX eligibility — what do you think? (21:55)Speaking of shadowy quarterback situations, there continue to be reports out of Chicago that the Bears will add a veteran QB presence to challenge Mitchell Trubisky in camp. Ep 113Chiefs vs 49ers: Taking a longer look at both backfields and Deebo vs. Mecole in 2020

With the big game just a few days away, Liz Loza and Matt Harmon preview the matchup and much more from Radio Row in Miami on the latest fantasy football podcast! Before they get to that, breaking news out of Chicago: Mitchell Trubisky went under the knife to fix an injured shoulder. Could this cure his passing woes from 2019? Too bad it was his non-throwing shoulder that was injured the whole time. Loza continues to lament the QB situation in the Windy City. (0:35)Later, our experts give their initial thoughts on staying down in Miami, plus their experiences on Media Night, where Liz got the cold shoulder from Tevin Coleman. (3:05) The San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs both provided a lot of fantasy goodness last season, and they’ll have some intriguing and interesting situations at both running back and wide receiver in 2020.Raheem Mostert has established himself as the leader of the 9ers backfield in recent weeks, but considering how things were playing out early in the season (with Tevin Coleman and Matt Breida shining in individual moments), is Mostert worthy of high draft capital next season? On the other side of the spectrum, will Damien Williams finally be a trustworthy season-long asset, or will we be teased with the upside of Darwin Thompson yet again? (10:20)At wide receiver, both teams have talented youngsters who will be entering Year 2: Deebo Samuel for the 49ers and Mecole Hardman for the Chiefs. The 2019 rookie wide receiver class was truly incredible — and an even better one might be coming in 2020. (15:25)[Yahoo Sportsbook powered by BetMGM: Deposit $10, Get $100 in Free Bets. Ep 112Packers & Titans post-mortem, Eli retiring, and ranking the QBs in 2020

This is it. The matchup is set. The Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers will meet for all the marbles at Super Bowl LIV. Who ya got?Liz Loza and Matt Harmon give their initial thoughts on the matchup in the latest fantasy football podcast. But we can’t forget about the teams the Chiefs and 49ers beat to get here. Liz and Matt give their thoughts on both the Titans and Packers — two squads that probably played beyond their means in these playoffs. (1:10) [Yahoo Sportsbook powered by BetMGM: Deposit $10, Get $100 in Free Bets. NJ only. 21+. After hiring Jason Garrett as their new offensive coordinator, the Giants are now linked to Freddie Kitchens. (13:15)Speaking of the Giants, Eli Manning announced his retirement on Wednesday, and almost immediately the Hall Of Fame debate began — which side are you on? (19:40)The Jaguars hired Jay Gruden as their new OC, but head coach Doug Marrone has kept talks of a 2020 starter at quarterback under wraps thus far. (28:00)Our fantasy analysts published their way too early top 10 ranks at every position this week. Liz and Matt compare their notes on quarterbacks, and debate between Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes for the 2020 fantasy season. Ep 111Divisional round recap, championship preview, and more coaching changes

The NFL playoffs have not disappointed thus far, giving Liz Loza and Matt Harmon a lot to discuss on the latest fantasy football podcast!Kicking off the weekend, Kyle Shanahan, Robert Saleh and the San Francisco 49ers put on a show on both sides of the ball, completely dominating the Minnesota Vikings. Particularly impressive was the re-emergence of Tevin Coleman in the SF backfield. As always, the 49ers RB situation is hard to parse from a fantasy angle, but it demands your attention. (0:35)In an immense upset, Ryan Tannehill, Derrick Henry, and the Tennessee Titans continued their magic to knock off the Baltimore Ravens IN Baltimore one week after taking out Tom Brady and the Patriots IN New England. Derrick Henry, in particular, has been unreal in these playoffs, running for over 180 yards in consecutive weeks. Liz and Matt discuss whether the behemoth runner will be worth a top-five fantasy draft pick next season. (8:40).The Texans-Chiefs game was absolutely nuts. The Texans were up 24-0 at one point in the game, yet lost 51-31 to quarterback-god, Patrick Mahomes, and the Chiefs. Sorry, Bill O'Brien and the Texans, but our hosts are at a loss on how to stop this team. (20:25)Wrapping up Sunday's games, the Packers advanced to the NFC Championship on the backs of a great Aaron Rodgers performance and a greater Davante Adams performance. Pretty impressive considering the rest of the Green Bay WRs are Allen Lazard and a bucket of spare car parts. (25:50)Elsewhere in the NFL, Kevin Stefanski was hired by the Cleveland Browns to be their new head coach, right after the 49ers shut down the Vikings offense (33:50). On the other side of the spectrum, the Broncos fired Rich Scangarello and replaced him with Pat Shurmur as offensive coordinator (39:10) and the Jaguars parted ways with John DeFilippo (43:35). Liz and Matt discuss these moves and what they mean for fantasy. Finally, Liz and Matt pick this weekend's two conference championship games against the spread in Titans/Chiefs and Packers/49ers. Ep 110The coaching carousel is in full spin and divisional playoff round preview

Happy New Year! A LOT has happened since our last episode, but Liz Loza and Matt Harmon are back to talk all things football in the latest fantasy podcast.First up, the coaching carousel is in full effect, as one of the biggest pieces was knocked off the board. Jason Garrett is gone from Dallas, replaced by veteran coach Mike McCarthy, which feels a little bit like going from vanilla ice cream to ... artisanal vanilla ice cream. Liz and Matt explain why the move is probably good news for Dak and Zeke. (02:16)Ron Rivera is now the new head coach of Washington, while the Giants went with former Patriots WR coach Joe Judge as their new HC (and Garrett might apparently not be done with the NFC East). (11:15)Former Baylor coach Matt Rhule is the new HC for the Carolina Panthers. The Browns, however, are still exploring candidates like Josh McDaniels, Jim Schwartz and Eric Bieniemy. (14:15)Liz and Matt discuss all these hirings and their impact on the fantasy landscape. The Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs was a doozy: Kirk Cousins and the Vikings went to New Orleans and took out the Saints. (34:28) Derrick Henry barreled his way through Foxborough en route to a Titans upset, what's next for Tom Brady? (38:05) The Seahawks defeated an Eagles team that lost Carson Wentz to an injury just minutes into the game. (46:45) And Deshaun Watson led the Texans to a win over Buffalo. (51:56) Liz and Matt recap those matchups and then preview this weekend’s divisional round. Ep 109Week 17 Preview: What went right and wrong in fantasy in 2019

Well, the fantasy championships are over — UNLESS your championship game is in Week 17. If you do, we are obligated by the fantasy overlords themselves to say: “Your league is crazy.” But, if you like to live dangerously, Liz Loza and Matt Harmon have you covered for Week 17 in the latest fantasy football podcast.[Yahoo Sportsbook powered by BetMGM: Deposit $10, Get $100 in Free Bets. NJ only. 21+. Terms apply]First things first: with the Ravens sitting Lamar Jackson (and others) for their Week 17 matchup against the Steelers, is RGIII a viable starter in daily fantasy? (0:50)Before we get to the rest of the Week 17 games, with 95% of leagues wrapped up for the year, there’s no time like the present to look back at the fantasy season. What happened to the consensus top four — Christian McCaffrey, Saquon Barkley, Alvin Kamara, and Ezekiel Elliott — this season? How did they finish the year? Was the consensus all wrong, or is this just part of variance? What about the rest of the guys drafted in the top 10? (4:20)After his incredible 2019 season, could Lamar Jackson be next year’s #1 overall pick? (7:00)And speaking of QBs, what do we make of the current top 10 — Jackson, Deshaun Watson, Dak Prescott, JAMEIS WINSTON, Russell Wilson, Josh Allen, Mahomes, Kyler Murray, Matt Ryan, and Carson Wentz — going into 2020? Should the whole “Wait on a QB” strategy change? Should we be looking to target dual-threat quarterbacks only? (15:05)Liz and Matt then look towards Week 17 and tell you the one thing you should look for in each game. Ep 108Week 16 Recap: Strange gifts and performances handed out in championship weekend

Just in time for the holidays, the football gods gifted us a strange Week 16 to wrap up the 2019 fantasy football season. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss the wild Week 16 and the gifts they think each team received as a result of the weekend's games. For example, the Eagles gifted Cowboys fans what appears to be the end of the Jason Garrett era in Dallas. (01:22)Alvin Kamara found the end zone twice this week – his first scores since Week 3 – which might've been a gift that was too little, too late for his fantasy owners. Despite Kamara's season-long performance that didn't meet expectations, is he still a top 5 pick in 2020? (05:41)Brett Hundley, of all people, staved off a late comeback attempt by the Seattle Seahawks after Kyler Murray left the Cardinals game with a hamstring injury. Perhaps more so than #1 pick Murray, the real gift in Arizona might be Kliff Kingsbury, who is proving himself to be a more than competent NFL head coach. (10:42)Every Denver Bronco fan has been wishing for a QB ever since Peyton Manning hung up the cleats in 2016. Is Drew Lock the gift they've been waiting for? (13:48)In a startlingly high-scoring game, the Giants and Washington went into overtime tied 35-35! Dwayne Haskins went down with an injury, but it didn’t appear to be too serious. Daniel Jones, on the other hand, went absolutely nuts, throwing for 352 yards and FIVE touchdowns. What can we expect from these two young quarterbacks in their sophomore year? (21:02)Speaking of strangely high-scoring, how about those Bengals and Dolphins? Two months ago, this game looking like a snoozefest, and despite their bad records, these teams have set themselves up for interesting futures. (25:10)All those games and more on the last Sunday-night episode of the season. Ep 107Week 16 Preview: What you need to know before your fantasy championship – and what's going on in Jacksonville?

It’s fantasy championship week (unless your chip is in Week 17 — if so, probably should change that), and Liz Loza and Matt Harmon have you covered with all things Week 16 in the latest fantasy football podcast.[Play in Yahoo’s NFL $175K Baller. $10 entry fee and $15K to first place]One of the biggest news items heading into the fantasy championship is Dak Prescott dealing with an injured throwing shoulder. Prescott himself has said he’ll be good to go for the Cowboys’ must-win matchup against the Eagles, but Liz and Matt discuss the potential fantasy ramifications this injury could have. (1:30)Elsewhere on the injury front, star wide receiver Chris Godwin (hamstring) will not be available for his fantasy managers as he was ruled out of Saturday’s game vs. the Texans. Breshad Perriman is expected to step into the WR1 role for the Buccaneers. What should we expect from Perriman and the rest of the fantasy assets in that game? (8:20)Our experts then discuss their Christmas wishes for the 2020 Jacksonville Jaguars. The 2019 version of the time just went through an odd, tumultuous week culminating in the firing of Tom Coughlin (coaches are probably next). (12:20)After doling out some more Christmas cheer to the struggling Rams & still-injured AJ Green (20:20), Liz and Matt then look towards Week 16 and tell you the one thing you should look for in each game. Ep 106Week 15 Recap: Fringe playoff heroes and recap of a crazy semifinal week

What do Kenyan Drake, Breshad Perriman, Kenny Stills, Greg Ward, A.J. Brown, and Jamison Crowder all have in common? They probably sent some fantasy managers to the championship in Week 16.Liz Loza and Matt Harmon recap those performances and much more in the latest fantasy football podcast. (02:51)[Yahoo Sportsbook powered by BetMGM: Deposit $10, Get $100 in Free Bets. NJ only. 21+. Terms apply]It was a wild Week 15, with plenty of touchdowns to go around, making for some undoubtedly high-scoring fantasy semifinal matchups. Also, pure mayhem went down in the Bay area after the Oakland Raiders lost their final home game (14:27), and the San Francisco 49ers got shocked at home by the sorry Atlanta Falcons. (21:34)Sadly, not only did Dalvin Cook go down in Week 15 with a shoulder injury, but he was immediately ruled out for the rest of the game, which hints at the potential severity of the ailment. Does Mike Boone enter league-winner status? (19:20)Elsewhere in the NFL, the Kenny Stills, of all people, put the Houston Texans in the driver's seat for the AFC South with 2 TDs against the Tennessee Titans. (24:00)Somehow, the Bears wide receivers — specifically Allen Robinson and Anthony Miller — are making things work even though Mitchell Trubisky is ... not amazing. (26:53).At long last, Tyler Lockett returned to fantasy glory — but the Seahawks cannot play a normal game to save their lives (which might be good or bad, depending on what side of the fantasy fence you’re on). (29:34)Saquon Barkley delivered two touchdowns (although, since they were his first since Week 7, it might have been too little, too late for fantasy managers). Oh, and Eli Manning is back to .500! (33:08)Finally, Liz & Matt wrap up the show lamenting the complete no-show from the Los Angeles Rams and offensive explosion from the Dallas Cowboys. Ep 105Week 15 Preview: Big injuries at the wrong time, and dreadful sits-starts for the semifinals

One of the best feelings ever is to know you’re going into the fantasy football playoffs with a completely healthy lineup. Unfortunately, the way Week 14 went, it’s hard to have a completely healthy team right now. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss all those injury losses and more in the latest fantasy football podcast.[Play in Yahoo’s NFL $175K Baller. $10 entry fee and $15K to first place]The Philadelphia Eagles — who are trying to not only make the playoffs but beat out the Dallas Cowboys for the NFC East crown — lost Alshon Jeffery to IR and Nelson Agholor’s status is up in the air for Week 15 against Washington. Now, their wide receiver corps is reduced to JJ Arcega-Whiteside, Greg Ward Jr., someone named Robert Davis and ... who knows. Washington isn’t scot-free either, as Derrius Guice — who was showing off his potential in previous weeks — was placed on IR again with a sprained MCL. (2:00)[Yahoo Sportsbook powered by BetMGM: Deposit $10, Get $100 in Free Bets. NJ only. 21+. Terms apply]Two fantasy studs in Mike Evans and Marvin Jones were both lost for the season. Targets galore for Kenny Golladay and Chris Godwin, respectively, although fantasy managers should take note that Jameis Winston has been playing with a fracture in his hand. (8:40)Next up, Liz and Matt discuss some of the worst players they’re being forced to start in the semifinals, along with some of the better players they might have no choice but to bench! Ep 104Week 14 Recap: How the NFL playoff race is affecting your fantasy playoffs

Sadly, we regret to inform you that the Patriots' dynasty is over. Kaput. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss the state of the Patriots dynasty and much more in the latest fantasy podcast.Speaking of contenders, they are few and far between in the NFL while there are a plethora of eliminated (or close to eliminated) teams. Yet, some of those teams are still putting up a fight. Liz and Matt talk about which teams are frisky (like the Broncos, Falcons, and Colts) and which teams are packing it in (like the Browns, Panthers, and Jaguars). (02:39)The New England Patriots lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 14, 23-16. The Texans beat them, 28-22, in Week 13. And we all know what the Ravens did to them a couple weeks ago. That’s three AFC contenders the Pats lost to. So ... what do we make of this? (23:29)Elsewhere in the NFL, the aforementioned Texans (after that impressive win over the Pats) were embarrassed in Week 15, 38-24, by Drew Lock and the Broncos. Now, Houston is in a virtual tie at the top of the AFC South with the Titans, who have been BALLIN. How will this battle play out in the coming weeks? (28:21)Unfortunately for fantasy managers, Week 14 was replete with injuries. Mike Evans, Jared Cook, DeVante Parker, and Derrius Guice all went down, among others. Liz and Matt discuss the ramifications of those losses. Ep 103Week 14 Preview: Playoff injury roundup, Eli's last ride and one thought for each game

Week 14. The start of the fantasy playoffs. Whether you made the tournament or are on the outside looking in, it’s been a wild, memorable season, and it’s safe to say that the best could be yet to come.Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss the start of the playoffs and the players you need to know about on the latest fantasy football podcast.[Play in Yahoo’s NFL $200K Baller. $10 entry fee and $20K to first place]Though the fantasy playoffs are set to begin for many leagues in Week 14, that doesn’t mean they’re starting smoothly for every fantasy manager. Dalvin Cook suffered an injured shoulder on Monday night in Week 13, but does it mean Alexander Mattison will become more than just a stash (Cook did say he’ll be fine for Week 14)? (6:10)Marlon Mack returned to practice (11:35), and Kerryon Johnson is reportedly eyeing a return in Week 16 — but should you stash him for the fantasy championship? Also, TJ Hockenson is headed to the IR. We do some Lions talk to get you prepared for the playoffs. (15:00)Daniel Jones, is looking doubtful for Week 14 with an ankle sprain, so you know what that means: ELI IS BACK! Liz and Matt discuss the trickle-down effect for the Giants wideouts rest-of-season. RIP to most Survivor entries. Our thoughts are with everyone who trusted Sam Darnold this week. Devlin “Duck” Hodges and Benny Snell helped take down the Browns. (18:05) The aforementioned Sam Darnold and the red-hot Jets? Embarrassed by the Bengals. (22:09)DeVante Parker LIT UP the Eagles (7 catches, 159 yards, 2 TDs). (28:50)Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry ruined many of the Colts’ playoff dreams. (32:13)Gardner Minshew took back his rightful place as the Jacksonville Jaguars' starting QB in an otherwise troubling loss to the Buccaneers (36:11)Derrius Guice went off (10 rushes, 129 yards, 2 TDs) in a huge upset over the Panthers. Ep 101Week 13 Preview: Turkey day action and a MNF beat-down

Liz Loza and Matt Harmon are back with a special Wednesday edition of the fantasy football podcast, ahead of the turkey apocalypse otherwise known as Thanksgiving![Play in Yahoo’s NFL $200K Baller. $10 entry fee and $20K to first place]But Thanksgiving is on Thursday, how about that you-know-what whoopin’ the Ravens put on the Rams on Monday night? Liz & Matt gush about Lamar, lament the Rams & preview the NFC West matchup between the Rams & Cardinals later in the week. Are we sure Arizona is the worst team in the division? (05:00)Back to the holiday spirit, our experts run through all the Turkey Day action, starting with ... ugh ... Bears vs. Lions. In the event that the questionable Jeff Driskel can’t take the field on Thursday, his backup is, and this is not a mistake, David Blough. Blerg. Is there anything positive to take away from this matchup. Our experts try to find the marshmallows in this rotten bowl of sweet potatoes. (09:05)They then move on to Buffalo vs. Dallas in what might be the most interesting matchup of the holiday. Both teams have been criticized for being weak against squads over .500. Which team will silence the doubters on Thursday? (12:01)Finally, our football dinner ends with a dessert of New Orleans vs. Atlanta. Can New Orleans prove their surprising loss to the dirty birds two weeks ago was just an aberration? Or will this flightless Falcons team put up one last fight against a division rival before they pack it in for the season? (19:03)After the Turkey Day discussion, Liz and Matt look towards the weekend and preview each game from the remainder of Week 13 and tell you the one thing you should look for in each game. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss the captivating performances from Rashaad Penny, Latavius Murray, Qadree Ollison, Benny Snell and more in the latest fantasy football podcast. (01:25)Liz and Matt hit mostly every game from Week 12’s Sunday slate, including fantasy owners finally getting a solid look at first round Patriots WR N’Keal Harry. Should fantasy owners invest in the rookie or are there better options in the depleted New England receiver corps? (13:25)Elsewhere in the NFL, we witnessed another disappointing outing by Carson Wentz. So, for the umpteenth time, what’s wrong with Wentz? (21:28)The Browns went off in the Week 12, as everybody with fantasy value — Baker Mayfield, Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry, Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt — ate, while on the other side, DeVante Parker turned 11 targets into six catches for 91 yards (for what it’s worth). (31:45)Oakland got caught in a classic west-to-east trap game in East Rutherford. Matt & Liz take a look at Sam Darnold’s performance and the Jets’ light schedule to round out the season (36:30)Don’t get your ponytail in a bunch, but Derrick Henry had himself a day against the Jaguars and Leonard Fournette got into the end-zone twice as well. Could Ryan Tannehill be the answer in Tennessee and man, it definitely seems like Foles is not in Jacksonville. (41:58)John Brown is becoming (or rather, has become) one of the safest wide receivers to roster in fantasy (48:12), Mason Rudolph got benched one week after you-know-what, only to watch the Duck, Devlin Hodges, come in and help the Steelers get the W (51:30).Liz and Matt discuss all that and more fantasy tidbits from Week 12’s games. Ep 99Week 12 Preview: Strong second-half rookies, are the Falcons good now and is Rivers washed?

Are we seeing the end of Philip Rivers? On a scale of 1-gross, how bad was Goff vs. Trubisky last week? Oh, and what’s going on with Nelson Agholor’s supposed burner account?Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss that and much more on the latest Yahoo Fantasy Football Podcast, starting with the...shall we say...rough outing between the Rams and Bears last Sunday night. (1:30)On Monday night, the Chiefs beat the Chargers in Mexico City, but most notable were Philip Rivers' 4 picks. Is the veteran quarterback nearing the end? (7:10)[Play in Yahoo’s NFL $200K Baller. $10 entry fee and $20K to first place]Elsewhere in the NFL, the Pittsburgh Steelers have been holding their own even though they’re dealing with a plethora of injuries to their top fantasy weapons. JuJu Smith-Schuster has already been ruled out, James Conner is questionable, and Diontae Johnson is in concussion protocol. Have the surprisingly .500 Steelers finally about collapse under the weight of injuries?(10:30)Speaking of surprises, the lowly Falcons have won two games in a row by a margin of 55-12. What's behind Atlanta's sudden resurgence, and should we pay attention to this team in the second half? (16:25)Next, Liz and Matt discuss some rookies who could provide strong second-halves, which could prove very useful in fantasy. Names like Noah Fant, Hunter Renfrow, Deebo Samuel (who could be in for some positive touchdown regression), Darius Slayton and Andy Isabella may be of potential interest if they're available in your league or if you're thinking about keeping them (21:40). After discussing all that, our experts give one bit of advice for every game on the Week 12 slate (32:40), as well as some DFS bargains and fades (51:45).Oh, and don’t forget to join the Week 12 NFL $200K Baller daily fantasy contest. Ep 98Week 11 Recap: Kyler is heating up, Lamar is on fire and what's wrong with Watson & Wentz?

Four passing touchdowns. 222 passing yards. 86 yards on the ground. Just another day in the office for Lamar Jackson. The MVP front-runner (don't @ us, Russell Wilson lovers) is continuing his hot streak and despite losing this weekend, Kyler Murray is showing strong flashes that he could be Lamar Jackson (or Patrick Mahomes, or Cam Newton) 2.0.Matt Harmon is joined by Dalton Del Don on a Week 11 Sunday night to discuss the results of the too-close-for comfort San Francisco 49ers win over the Arizona Cardinals (02:30) and the blowout win for the Baltimore Ravens over the Houston Texans (07:45).Later in the show, our experts hit the rest of the Sunday games including:- New England @ Philadelphia: What's wrong with Wentz? (19:35)- New Orleans @ Tampa Bay: The Saints get right against the Bucs (21:15)- Denver @ Minnesota: The Vikings finally allow a TD to a TE (29:30)- Atlanta @ Carolina: The end of Riverboat Ron? Ep 97Week 11 Preview: Nick Foles is back, RBs to stash and WR3s to stream

Well, as fun as Minshew Mania was, it has indeed come to an end. Nick Foles is returning to the Jaguars this week, but what does it mean for the fantasy values of Jaguar studs like Leonard Fournette and D.J. Chark? (1:10)Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss that and much more on the latest Yahoo Fantasy Football Podcast.[Play in Yahoo’s NFL $200K Baller. $10 entry fee and $20K to first place]Elsewhere in the NFL, two of the top tight ends in fantasy won’t be on the field in Week 11. Austin Hooper will now be out for a month, and considering he’d been the top tight end in fantasy, we feel your pain, fantasy managers. Is Luke Stocker a viable fantasy option now?George Kittle is set to miss another game, and unfortunately, it’s against the Cardinals, the team which has been friendliest to opposing TEs this season. Liz and Matt seek out TE dart-throws in the wake of these injuries for Week 11. (5:45)As you very well know, it’s #HandcuffSZN, but beyond that, Liz and Matt list the running backs fantasy managers should be stashing — regardless of whether they’re rostering the lead backs in the same offense. (15:05)Next up, our experts talk about the random group of wideouts in the top 30-50 who seem to produce week in and week out, and which of them are worth streaming based on their matchups. Ep 96Week 10 Recap: Barkley, Kamara, Johnson falter & a rare O.J. Howard sighting

Alvin Kamara. Saquon Barkley. David Johnson. There is no doubt that these three names were among the first six or seven picks in your league. Yet today, Kamara was only RB14 on the week and Barkley & Johnson...you don't want to know (1:21).Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss these star running back performances and much more in the latest fantasy football podcast.Moving from the broad strokes of disappointing RBs to recapping the Sunday games:- O.J. Ep 95Week 10 Preview: Kareem Hunt is back – why you should avoid the hype

We have reached Week 10 of the fantasy football season — are you tired yet? Hey, fantasy fatigue is a real thing, and Liz Loza and Matt Harmon are here to help you get through it in the latest fantasy football podcast.[Play in Yahoo’s NFL $250K Baller. $10 entry fee and $25K to first place]It’s been an eventful week across the NFL. Cam Newton’s season is over, as the Panthers placed their (former) starting quarterback on IR (1:20). Evan Engram is now in a walking boot ahead of a same-stadium rivalry game between the Jets and Giants (8:55). Kareem Hunt is set to play vs. Bills after serving his suspension – what does this mean for Nick Chubb (11:45), and finally, quarterback god Patrick Mahomes is set to make his return from injury, and it begs the question whether his return will positively or negatively affect Damien Williams (17:50).After discussing all that, our experts preview some interesting Week 10 matchups, including a pair of awesome primetime NFC matchups in Vikings/Cowboys (20:35) and Seahawks/49ers (25:10). After that they preview the rest of the Sunday Week 10 slate (29:00)They then wrap up the show giving some daily fantasy bargains and fades for the week (59:00).Don’t forget to join the Week 10 NFL $250K Baller daily fantasy contest. Ep 94Week 9 Recap: Time for a QB change in PIT and CHI?

There was a lot of unimpressive quarterback play early in Week 9, but few signal-callers disappointed more than Mason Rudolph and Mitchell Trubisky. It’s not that they played terribly, but you just always seem to expect more from these passers considering their respective situations. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss these performances and much more in the latest fantasy football podcast. No one realistically expected Mason Rudolph to be Big Ben 2.0, but considering that he has the No. 1 pass-blocking unit protecting him and strong weapons on the outside, his subpar performances aren’t cutting it in either fantasy or reality. In fact, if not for Jacoby Brissett going down with a knee injury early, the result of this game could have been different. And speaking of Brissett, Liz and Matt discuss the fantasy fallout of the Colts weapons — like Zach Pascal, who shined in T.Y. Hilton’s absence — if Brissett has to miss time and Brian Hoyer is the starting QB for Indy (1:15).If you think Rudolph is sub-par, you can only imagine what Liz and Matt think about Mitchell Trubisky (11:15). Another game, another Bears loss, another crappy performance by Mitch. Oh, and DeSean Jackson, who just came back, got hurt again. Just horrible luck.Elsewhere in the NFL, Damien Williams reappeared, rushing for over 125 yards while also out-touching LeSean McCoy (22:30). On the other side of the field, Adam Thielen re-injured his hamstring (but Stefon Diggs didn’t produce in his stead, unfortunately).Devin Singletary may have finally asserted himself over Count Dracula I mean Frank Gore against Washington, as the electrifying rookie went off to the tune of 95 rush yards and 45 receiving yards (along with a touchdown on the ground). His older counterpart across the field, Adrian Peterson, had a solid game as well, rushing for over 100 yards (30:40).In the late afternoon, Russell Wilson mustered his usual magic in the Seahawks' overtime win over the Buccaneers (36:20). In a game where Tyler Lockett looked incredible & D.K. Metcalf broke out, fantasy owners must consider that Seattle added Josh Gordon over the weekend. What can we expect out of Gordon on the 7-2 Seahawks?Oakland's win over Detroit was about as exciting a fantasy matchup as we had this weekend (41:30). Our experts break down the Raiders' win and emergence as an offensive powerhouse.Liz and Matt then continue their Week 9 recap with some quick fantasy hitters (45:15), like Kenyan Drake’s raucous Cardinals debut, Nick Foles impending return to Jacksonville, and Preston Williams’ league-winning potential (oh, and the Jets are bad). Ep 93Week 9 Preview: RBs to stash in the second-half and goodbye to Dalton & Flacco

With Liz Loza out Halloween-ing, Matt Harmon is joined by Yahoo’s very own Scott Pianowski for the latest fantasy football podcast.[Play in Yahoo’s NFL $250K Baller. $10 entry fee and $25K to first place]And with Halloween on the mind, there are some scary situations in the NFL, starting the Steelers backfield, which is a true house of horrors right now. James Conner, Jaylen Samuels, and Benny Snell are all either dealing with injuries or trying to return from them. Seems like Samuels is ready to go, but nonetheless, Scott and Matt break down these situations (3:20).From scary RBs to terrifying QBs, we got confirmation that Kyle Allen is returning under center in Carolina for at least one more week, even though it seems Cam Newton will be making his grand return soon (8:10), Andy Dalton was outright benched in favor of Ryan Finley for the Bengals (16:25), and an injured Joe Flacco will give way to Brandon Allen at QB for the Broncos (21:00).Week 9 marks the beginning of #HandcuffSZN, as a prime second-half strategy is for fantasy managers to start adding handcuffs to elite running backs (23:00) Some options include: Alexander Mattison, Gus Edwards, Ryquell Armstead, Tony Pollard, Darrell Henderson, and Reggie Bonnafon. Mark Walton is another option worth adding who is actually a starter, and maybe even Darwin Thompson is a sneaky add?Scott and Matt also discuss the value of Raiders players (like Tyrell Williams and Darren Waller) in the second half (36:25), as well as why you should be caring about second-half strength of schedule (40:05).After discussing all that, our experts preview some interesting Week 9 matchups in Chicago vs. Philadelphia and Jacksonville vs. Houston (45:25). Ep 92Week 8 Recap: Sanders & Montgomery finally emerge and Danny Dimes is your QB1

You know that moment when that player you’ve been waiting to go off, finally goes off?We had a few of those on Sunday in Week 8. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon talk about those performances and much more in the latest fantasy football podcast.Above all, the most “FINALLY!” moments of the week have to go to rookie running backs, David Montgomery (1:00) and Miles Sanders (5:50). You wanna talk about waiting for guys to go off, look no further. Montgomery (31 total touches, 147 total yards, 1 TD) and Sanders (6 total touches, 118 total yards, 1 TD, 1 2-point conversion) had great days, but the question Liz and Matt try to answer is: Are these performances for real? Can we trust them going forward? The Bears' lasElsewhere in Week 8, Drew Brees returned but it was Latavius Murray who won the day (11:00). After taking over for an injured Alvin Kamara the last two weeks, Murray has been EATING, posting back-to-back 25+ fantasy point outings. That said, the party could end for Murray, as the Saints will go on bye in Week 9 and Kamara is expected to return to action in Week 10. On the other side of the field, Chase Edmonds, coming off a shocking performance in Week 8, got hurt against the Saints, but it’ll be hard to trust any Zona RB against the undefeated 49ers in Week 9.Mike Evans exploded in Week 8 (198 yards, 2 TD). The same can’t be said, unfortunately, for Tennessee's wideouts (16:20). Most of us expected the likes of Corey Davis and A.J. Brown to continue their growth alongside Ryan Tannehill, but our expectations were not met (understatement). After all that FAAB was used on Ty Johnson, the Lions continue to prove to us that their backfield is actually a minefield. Well, at least Matthew Stafford and Daniel Jones both had excellent fantasy days (22:20).The Atlanta Falcons haven't missed a step (for better or worse). With Matt Schaub under center, he came close to replicating Matt Ryan's stats but have no fear, the Dirty Birds are still in the gutter (29:10).How about those 49ers? Tevin Coleman went absolutely nuts (13 touches, 118 total yards, FOUR total touchdowns) and newcomer Emmanuel Sanders caught a touchdown on the 9ers first offensive drive. On the other side, Kyle Allen could do nothing against the vaunted San Francisco defense — so we can expect Cam Newton to return to the starting role soon when he’s ready (31:15).Liz & Matt wrap up the show with the late-breaking news that J.J. Watt will miss the remainder of the season with a torn pectoral muscle (39:50). With an already shaky defense, how will the Texans adjust and could Gardner Minshew lead the Jags in a repeat stellar performance next week against Houston? Please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBCheck out the rest of the Yahoo Sports Podcast family at https://apple.co/2Abi8jk or at yahoosports.com/podcasts See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 91Week 8 Preview: Trade season, IR season, and how those top-ADP players are doing

With the NFL trade deadline less than a week away, some teams have already begun to make moves. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss those trades and much more in the latest fantasy football podcast.Mohamed Sanu and Emmanuel Sanders are both on new teams, and in better situations, too. Sanu is now on the undefeated Patriots, who lost WR Josh Gordon to the IR (0:50), and Sanders is on the undefeated 49ers (7:30). Liz and Matt discuss those trades and how they impact the fantasy landscape.Gordon wasn't the only big name fantasy player to hit the injured reserve. The Detroit Lions placed RB Kerryon Johnson on the IR and our experts diagnose whether Ty Johnson, the most added player in Yahoo leagues, is the answer (13:00).[Play in Yahoo’s NFL $250K Baller. $10 entry fee and $25K to first place]Earlier in the week, Yahoo Fantasy’s very own James Koh tweeted out a graphic of where the top players in ADP currently stand through seven weeks of the season and ... well ... it’s not pretty. To think, the likes of Odell Beckham Jr., Joe Mixon, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Saquon Barkley are nowhere near the top-20 at their position is unreal. Liz and Matt break down this stunning group and offer up some suggestions for dealing with the reality of this situation in fantasy (19:00).After discussing all that, our experts preview some interesting Week 8 matchups in Tampa Bay vs. Tennessee (the Ryan Tannehill era is here!) and Philadelphia (can the Eagles get it together on offense?) vs. Buffalo (37:40). They then wrap up the show giving some daily fantasy bargains and fades for the week (46:45).Oh, and don’t forget to join the Week 8 NFL $250K Baller daily fantasy contest. Ep 90Week 7 Recap: Key injuries and re-injuries define the weekend

Liz Loza & Matt Harmon, unfortunately, have to discuss a LOT of injuries that occurred in Week 7, headlined by Patrick Mahomes being lost for about a month due to a kneecap injury suffered against the Broncos (1:00). Other big injuries fantasy gamers dealt with include Matt Ryan (ankle), Adam Thielen (hamstring), Kerryon Johnson (knee), and Ito Smith (head/neck), to name a few. Even Evan Engram and Saquon Barkley, who just returned from injuries, got banged up during their game. Liz and Matt discuss the fantasy implications of all those losses in this episode, particularly the Engram and Barkley re-injuries (13:15). Are players coming back too soon? Liz has thoughts.Elsewhere in the NFL, the Vikings offense looked unstoppable against the Detroit Lions (18:30) and Aaron Rodgers delivered his game of the year thus far, lighting up Oakland for over 400 yards and six total touchdowns while sharing the wealth to EVERYBODY (22:00). Jared Goff and the Rams went back to their high-scoring ways, but are they back, or is this just a symptom of playing the Falcons (27:00)? (Then again, they play the Bengals next week, so there’s that). Deshaun Watson helped DeAndre Hopkins, Kenny Stills, and Keke Coutee all enjoy productive fantasy days, albeit in a loss to Jacoby Brissett and the Colts (29:00).Please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBCheck out the rest of the Yahoo Sports Podcast family at https://apple.co/2Abi8jk or at yahoosports.com/podcasts See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 89Week 7 Preview: Rams make YOLO moves, Saquon is back and the TE wasteland

There’s a lot to talk about as we head into Week 7 of the NFL season, and Liz Loza and Matt Harmon cover it all in the latest fantasy football podcast.[Play in Yahoo’s NFL $250K Baller. $10 entry fee and $25K to first place]First up, how about that trade the Los Angeles Rams swung for Jalen Ramsey? Talk about going for it all! The Rams went YOLO with their defense and the Jaguars got a decent haul and seem to be rebuilding on the fly better than a certain aquatic team in south Florida (1:00).Elsewhere in the NFL, fantasy gamers are crossing their fingers that Saquon Barkley will return on Sunday for a plus-matchup against the Arizona Cardinals after practicing for two days straight (12:50).And now, for a topic that most fantasy gamers have been frustrated with the past couple seasons: Tight Ends! Scott Pianowski recently shuffled-up the tight end position, and now that we’ve gone past “Peach Season,” (drafting the top TEs), it’s apple-picking season. AKA, Liz and Matt discuss which tight ends are worth adding off the waiver wire and streaming via matchup, names like Jason Witten, Dawson Knox, and both Houston Texan tight ends, just to name a few (17:40).Somehow, Week 7 is cursing us with some BAD quarterbacks going against some BAD defenses. Liz and Matt discuss their thoughts on these matchups, like Ryan Tannehill (taking over the recently benched Marcus Mariota) going against the Chargers, Gardner Minshew vs. the terrible Bengals, and Daniel Jones taking on the Cardinals’ sieve-like defense (29:30).After discussing all that, our experts preview a trio of Week 7 NFC matchups in the Vikings vs. Lions, Eagles vs. Cowboys and 49ers vs. Redskins (40:15). Ep 88Week 6 Recap: Darnold returns, Vikings air it out and signs of danger for Chiefs & Cowboys

Week 6 was not without a few surprises, starting with Marcus Mariota getting benched against the Broncos in favor of Ryan Tannehill (0:45). Well ... “in favor” is probably not the best use of that phrase, as Tannehill was not much better against a Broncos defense that came to play.Moving to games and teams that matter, Liz Loza & Matt Harmon break down the weekend's biggest storylines on this episode of the Yahoo Fantasy Football Podcast. In the first of two home losses on Sunday for teams in LA, the Rams were handily beat at home by the division-rival 49ers (3:15). Yeah, we know the 49ers are for real now, but what should we make of the fading Rams and their indecipherable backfield?Speaking of confusing backfields, what are the New Orleans Saints if they don't have Alvin Kamara or Drew Brees (9:30)?Sam Darnold made his (glorious?) return to the New York Jets on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys and instantly, the Jets offense changed completely (13:40). It seemed like Mononucleosis may have made Darnold stronger, as he came out firing on all cylinders; by the time the fourth quarter was halfway through, Darnold had thrown for over 300 yards and two touchdowns. But while Darnold’s absence due to an ailment ended, others emerged. Will Dissly — who seemed to be on the verge of a breakout — left with what is feared to be an Achilles injury during the Seahawks' victory in Cleveland. Matt and Liz breakdown the number of interesting storylines as a result of that game (22:50).Other big matchups on Sunday included the Vikings-Eagles, where Stefon Diggs EXPLODED for 185 total yards and three TDs (27:30). That’s back-to-back weeks where a Viking receiver has gone off — but can we trust it, or will they revert back to the Dalvin Cook Show? The Texans defeated the Chiefs, handing Patrick Mahomes and the team their second straight loss (34:10). Our experts break down this anticipated matchup, including this startling fact: Houston’s offensive line didn’t allow a single sack!Curtis Samuel went off in London, while O.J. Howard collected just two catches amidst growing trade rumors (43:05)Oh, and Adrian Peterson? Yeah, he had a big day (45:15). Ep 87Week 6 Preview: What if Mahomes is really injured?

On Monday night, the 49ers put on a running clinic in against the Cleveland Browns, but it ended up coming at a heavy cost: The team lost both their fullback and their right tackle to injury. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon open the show this week discussing the prospects of Matt Breida, Tevin Coleman and play a little game of either/or with the San Francisco backfield (2:06).There's a lot to consider in Kansas City with now that the injury bug has shown its ugly head. With Sammy Watkins getting hurt and Tyreek Hill not yet ready to return, Byron Pringle emerged against the Colts — but is he the real deal – and does any of that matter if Patrick Mahomes is hobbled with an injured ankle (9:15)?In other news, Chris Herndon made fantasy gamers rage uncontrollably after he hurt his hamstring in practice — and this is after waiting for him to return from his suspension. Not great. Liz & Matt break down the frustrating Jets offense and recommend some sage for Gang Green (15:45).Oh, and Christian McCaffrey scared the sh** out of everybody by missing practice with a back issue but he returned to a full practice (thankfully). With that said, McCaffrey’s backup, Reggie Bonnafon, impressed late against the Jaguars, making him arguably the most valuable handcuff in fantasy (24:15).Mark Walton got promoted after Kalen Ballage ... Kalen Ballage’d. Is Walton on the fantasy radar? What about the rest of the Dolphins, who are playing a must-lose game against Washington this week (31:30).[Play in Yahoo’s NFL $300K Baller. $10 entry fee and $30K to first place]After discussing all that, our experts preview a pair of sneaky-interesting Week 6 matchups in Houston/Kansas City and the London Bowl between the Panthers and Buccaneers (38:05), then wrap up the show giving some daily fantasy bargains and fades for the week (44:40).Oh, and don’t forget to join the Week 6 NFL $300K Baller daily fantasy contest. Ep 86Week 5 Recap: Big performances, and are the Panthers really better without Cam Newton?

You want to talk about big performances, look no further than Week 5. In the latest fantasy football podcast, Liz Loza and Matt Harmon recap those outings, and much more, and they’re joined by Psych and A Million Little Things alum, James Roday! We can’t talk about big performances without talking about what Christian McCaffrey did to the Jacksonville Jaguars (1:30). Run-CMC racked up a whopping 237 total yards and three touchdowns on 25 total touches. Those are video game numbers. But after another monster day by McCaffrey, the Panthers are 3-0 during the Kyle Allen era. So, it begs the question: Are the Panthers — Matt’s ex-lover — a truly better team without Cam Newton?Minshew-Mania stumbled against McCaffrey’s Panthers, but there were fantasy goodies to be had on the Jaguars side of the ball, too. Gardner Minshew (26/44 for 374 yards and 2 TDs), Leonard Fournette (137 total yards, 1 TD), D.J. Chark (164 yards, 2 TDs) all provided great days. You’ll remember last week, the frustration about the Vikings passing had boiled over, especially with their two stud wideouts, Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs. Well, the coaching staff heard — sort of. Adam Thielen and Kirk Cousins had good days; Diggs, not so much. Across on the other side of the scoreboard, the Giants lost Wayne Gallman to a concussion. And while Saquon Barkley continues to build evidence of his inhuman nature, Liz and Matt discuss Vikings/Giants and whether Jonathan Hilliman is now on the fantasy radar (11:30).Before the Sunday night clash between the Kansas City Chiefs and Indianapolis Colts, Teddy Bridgewater was the third-highest scoring fantasy quarterback. Yes, that Teddy Bridgewater, thanks to 314 pass yards and four touchdowns — so maybe this offense isn’t as in trouble as we initially thought after the Drew Brees injury (19:30).Back to the AFC South, the Will Fuller explosion happened, as the wideout turned 16 targets into 14 catches, 217 yards, and 3 TDs. His quarterback, Deshaun Watson, had a day too, throwing five touchdowns and totaling 473 yards through the air and on the ground (28:15).Have to shout out Josh Jacobs too, who, going up against the vaunted Bears defense and playing overseas, went off for 143 total yards and two touchdowns (30:30)Aaron Jones decided to put on his best Christian McCaffrey impression against Dallas, going off for FOUR touchdowns and over 180 combined yards (35:45). On the other side of the spectrum, Amari Cooper turned 14 targets into 11 catches, 226 yards, and a touchdown. Big, unexpected performances indeed. Ep 85Week 5 Preview: The curious case of Stefon Diggs and an RB wasteland

It’s no surprise that the Minnesota Vikings have loved to run the ball in 2019. Like, LOVED it. Like, Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs have been suffering because of it, and so has every fantasy gamer who drafted one (or both) of the talented Vikings wide receivers. Thielen has voiced his frustration, but, in a surprise to the entire fantasy community, it was Diggs who missed practice for a non-football reason this week. The trade rumor mill was unleashed. Liz and Matt discuss the Diggs situation and much more on the latest fantasy football podcast (0:20).[Play in Yahoo’s NFL $350K Baller. $10 entry fee and $35K to first place]Diggs returned to practice on Thursday, but when asked about the trade rumors, he said, “There’s truth to all rumors.” #SpicySpeaking of star wideouts, it seems like A.J. Green will be out longer than expected with injury. The rumors of a Green trade have surfaced as well (8:40).More on the injury front: The Bears are set to play without the services of their starting quarterback, Mitchell Trubisky, but could Chicago actually be better without him? Liz and Matt analyze the Bears (13:00), while also discussing the impending return of young Jets tight end, Chris Herndon (19:00).Liz and Matt are then joined by Brad Evans to talk about the running back situation as it stands in fantasy right now, including Brad’s favorite, David Montgomery, as well as the Eagles and the resurgence of one Ronald Jones II (24:00).After discussing all that, our experts provide some tantalizing daily fantasy bargains (38:00) as well as preview a pair of sneaky-interesting Week 5 matchups in Texans/Falcons and 49ers/Browns (49:20)Oh, and don’t forget to join the Week 5 NFL $350K Baller daily fantasy contest. Ep 84Week 4 Recap: Lions show signs of (fantasy) life, Nick Chubb explodes and is Brissett a QB1?

Week 4 has been ... interesting. After a bunch of random, waiver-wire-fodder players scored, many matchups that looked like they’d be easy wins for the favorites went down to the wire, including the game between the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs. Not only did the Lions defense surprise in holding Patrick Mahomes to no touchdowns, but Detroit’s fantasy assets showed out as well. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon break that game down and much more in the latest fantasy football podcast, starting with the Cleveland Browns offensive resurgence against the Baltimore Ravens (1:00).Matthew Stafford, Kerryon Johnson, Kenny Golladay, and T.J. Hockenson all had great days in a losing effort for the Detroit but Liz and Matt ask, should we be paying the Lions more respect (7:00)?Elsewhere in the NFL, Wayne Gallman lived up to many fantasy owners' hopes and dreams as Saquon Barkley's replacement (11:55). Gallman was the clear lead back for the Giants on a day that Daniel Jones was not at his best, and is expected to be just that as long as Saquon Barkley remains out. Speaking of that Giants game, Dwayne Haskins finally made his NFL debut in a plus matchup ... and it wasn’t great. Our experts debate whether he’s worth a stash in fantasy.Speaking of quarterbacks, Jacoby Brissett has now delivered back-to-back high-scoring fantasy weeks (20:15). The question Liz and Matt aim to answer is: Do we consider Brissett a QB1 going forward?Liz and Matt would be remiss if they didn’t address the fact that DeAndre Hopkins has now gone three consecutive weeks with quiet outputs after his Week 1 explosion. What do we make if it? Our experts discuss the Houston receiver and the Texans' receiver corps without Kenny Stills (26:40).Gotta talk about the Rams-Buccaneers game, which was not only the highest-scoring game of the season so far, it’s the highest-scoring game in Tampa Bay history. Our experts break down that game and all the action that took place (33:30). They wrap up with the exciting Thursday night game between the Packers and Eagles marvel at the Green Bay offense that is putting up points but doesn't seem to have it all together yet (36:50).Please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBCheck out the rest of the Yahoo Sports Podcast family at https://apple.co/2Abi8jk or at yahoosports.com/podcasts See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 83Week 4 Preview: Saquon gone, Melvin's back, and weird top-30 at wide receiver

The Giants dealt with a double-edged sword in Week 3. On the one hand, Daniel Jones took the reins of New York’s offense and delivered an awesome performance. Unfortunately, during the game, the Giants (and fantasy gamers) lost Saquon Barkley. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon talk about the reverberations of those events in this week’s fantasy football podcast (0:40).With Saquon out for a few weeks, do we trust Wayne Gallman to carry the load? And can Daniel Jones continue to spread the ball around to his receivers in the weeks to come the way he did against Tampa Bay, without his star running back alongside him?[Play in Yahoo’s NFL $400K Baller. $10 entry fee and $50K to first place]Elsewhere in the NFL, Melvin Gordon ended his holdout on Wednesday evening, and the screams of everyone who had been riding Austin Ekeler these past three weeks were heard the world over (4:40). But hey, it’s not all bad — Gordon won’t be active for Week 4; he probably will need a couple weeks before entering his full workload. So, to everyone rostering Ekeler: Enjoy the Miami Dolphins up next!In their second trade in as many weeks, the Pittsburgh Steelers traded a 2020 5th round pick for Seahawks TE Nick Vannett. Liz & Matt discuss what the trade could mean in both Seattle and Western Pennsylvania (11:10).Liz and Matt are then joined by Dalton Del Don to discuss the strange wide receiver situation in fantasy, and how the current top 30 at the position is full of some unexpected names (SAMMY WATKINS IS NO. 3, FOR GOD’S SAKE). You’ll recall, Dalton wrote up a draft piece on the Zero-WR method. He discusses how his piece is reflected by this weird top-30 (21:55).Speaking of wide receivers, T.Y. Hilton has been enjoying a great start to the season, but he’s now dealing with a quad injury. Our experts discuss recommendations for replacing him if he has to miss Week 4 vs. Oakland (30:35).After discussing all that, our experts then preview some key Week 4 matchups (32:55) and close out the show with some daily fantasy bargains and fades (40:40).Oh, and don’t forget to join the Week 4 NFL $400K Baller daily fantasy contest. Ep 82Week 3 Recap: It's Daniel Jones and Kyle Allen's NFL, we just live in it

What if I told you that the top-scoring fantasy quarterbacks of Week 3 before Sunday Night Football would be Patrick Mahomes (duh), Russell Wilson (fine), Deshaun Watson (expected), DANIEL JONES (huh?) and KYLE ALLEN (what?!)?I’d sound crazy, but in a week when 20 quarterbacks under the age of 26 started an NFL game, that indeed is the result at the quarterback position #TheFutureIsNow. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss those performances and much more in the latest Yahoo Fantasy Football podcast. They open the show recapping a trio of games: the Lamar Jackson/Patrick Mahomes duel in Kansas City (0:35), Russell Wilson and Tyler Locket putting up some impressive numbers against the Saints (3:30) and and the disappointing Chargers showing at home against the Texans (6:05).Kyle Allen and Daniel Jones showed out for their respective teams en route to impressive victories. Daniel Jones — who lost Saquon Barkley to an ankle injury early — attacked the Buccaneers with his arm and his legs, totaling four touchdowns (11:10). Allen helped showcase just how potent this Panthers offense can be, aiding Christian McCaffrey, Greg Olsen, and Curtis Samuel to big days (16:05). Elsewhere in the NFL, the dominant 49ers from last weekend? They were nowhere to be seen, barely eking out a win versus the uninspired Steelers (23:45). Matt breaks down another week with his roller-coaster favorite team. The Vikings continued to prove that this is the Dalvin Cook show, with some Adam Thielen sprinkled in (three catches, 55 yards, one touchdown, one rush, one touchdown) (27:20). It’s Cook’s third 100+ yard rushing game of the season.Playing without DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery, Carson Wentz and the Eagles primarily turned to Miles Sanders (126 total yards) and Nelson Agholor (50 yards, two touchdowns) in a loss against the Lions (30:55). How will this offense look when everyone is healthy again? The Atlanta Falcons continue to put up great numbers for their fantasy owners, but have a hard time pulling away with the W in real life. Matt and Liz try to make sense of this confounding team (34:15). No one is confused about Minshew Mania, however. Liz takes a victory lap after the Jags got their first win of the season against the Tennessee Titans and our experts wonder not when, but if Nick Foles will return (36:45).Liz and Matt wrap up this episode talking pickups for Week 4, including Phillip Dorsett, Preston Williams and coming off his surprising Week 3 performance, Buffalo Bills tight end, Dawson Knox (41:30).Please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBCheck out the rest of the Yahoo Sports Podcast family at https://apple.co/2Abi8jk or at yahoosports.com/podcasts See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 81Week 3 Preview: New QB roundup, plus injured units in KC and PHI

If the story of Week 2 were the star QBs injured and out for the foreseeable future, then the story of Week 3 are the fresh faces we'll be seeing in their places. On this edition of the Yahoo Fantasy Football Podcast, Liz Loza & Matt Harmon dive into the offenses we'll be seeing this weekend manned by unproven young passers.First, Mason Rudolph is stepping in for Big Ben with the Steelers. How will the 2018 third-rounder fare versus a San Francisco team that stomped all over Cincinnati last weekend (1:35).With Drew Brees reportedly out for six weeks, will we see our first QB-by-committee in New Orleans, led by Teddy Bridgewater and Taysom Hill (7:15)?Who is Kyle Allen and why is he being discussed in my fantasy podcast? Liz & Matt are surprisingly excited about Cam Newton's backup in Carolina and the loaded cast of skill players at his disposal (12:20).Finally, it's the end of an era in New York. With Eli Manning passing the torch to Daniel Jones this weekend in Tampa Bay, this can't possibly be a downgrade for the Giants, right (16:25)?The injury monster reared its ugly head of late, and it has not stopped terrorizing the league since. David Njoku took a brutal hit on Monday Night Football, fracturing his wrist and leaving the game with a concussion. DeSean Jackson is out with a hip strain, and he’s not the only Eagle dealing with ailments. LeSean McCoy looked set to get his first start in the Kansas City backfield ... and then he hurt his ankle. Luckily, there’s no structural damage, but both he and Damien Williams are questionable for Sunday’s matchup against the Ravens.Liz Loza and Matt Harmon are joined by Yahoo's very own Andy Behrens to process all these injuries and who could be the beneficiary of these absences this weekend (24:15).[Play in Yahoo’s NFL $500K Baller. $10 entry fee and $50K to first place]After discussing all that, our experts then preview some key Week 3 matchups (39:45) and close out the show with some daily fantasy bargains and fades (45:50).Oh, and don’t forget to join the Week 3 NFL $500K Baller daily fantasy contest. Ep 80Week 2 Recap: Niners and Chiefs roll and time to give up on Cam?

The San Francisco 49ers didn’t do much to impress, fantasy-wise, in Week 1. They did win, 31-17, but it was their strong defense that stole the show. Well, things changed in Week 2, as everything on the offensive side of the ball seemed to be working for the Kyle Shanahan-led unit en route to a 41-17 domination of the Cincinnati Bengals. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon break down that performance and more in this week’s Yahoo Fantasy Football Podcast (0:20).Can’t mention the 49ers without mentioning the fact that Matt chose them to be the team he’d be a lifelong fan of in 2019, and he’s definitely pleased with his choice after Week 2. Jimmy Garoppolo, Deebo Samuel, Marquise Goodwin, Raheem Mostert, Jeff Wilson, and Matt Breida all shined individually in this game. While the Niners looked great, it called into sharp contrast Matt's previous lifelong favorite team: the Carolina Panthers. Liz & Matt debate the Panthers' crushing Thursday night loss and whether fantasy owners should give up on Cam Newton (3:30).Elsewhere in the NFL, a tale of two tight ends: Will Dissly shined with two touchdowns, while O.J. Howard continued to disappoint in Tampa (7:00). Speaking of disappointments, the Steelers continued to struggle on offense with and without Big Ben (10:10).The Patrick Mahomes-led Chiefs continue to be great, although the lack of a running game — and a Sammy Watkins repeat (though he did have 13 targets) — were a bit alarming considering the Raiders were beaten early in this game (14:35).Fantasy gamers suffered through the entire Rams-Saints game with bated breath, awaiting word of the extent of Drew Brees’ injury (22:25).One team with very few worries right now are the Dallas Cowboys, who are getting great production out of just about everybody (28:25).Liz and Matt wrap up this episode talking pickups for Week 3, including the ageless, probably immortal Frank Gore (32:50) and all of the Jacksonville wide receivers (35:35).Please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBCheck out the rest of the Yahoo Sports Podcast family at https://apple.co/2Abi8jk or at yahoosports.com/podcasts See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 79Week 2 Preview: Jets and Chargers injuries emerge, 'Tilted or Jilted'

Well, the Week 2 action is here, but we’ve already begun dealing with the injury monster. Once again, Hunter Henry has fallen victim, this time thanks to a fracture in his left knee. His fellow Charger, Mike Williams, is also dealing with a knee injury of his own. Sadly, Derrius Guice underwent surgery for a torn meniscus and will be sidelined for about eight weeks. Quincy Enunwa is out for the year with a neck injury.Oh, and speaking of Jets, quarterback Sam Darnold will also miss some time ... with mono. It’s been rough being a Jets fan of late, to say the least.Liz Loza and Matt Harmon break down all those injuries on this week’s Yahoo Fantasy podcast, starting with the weirdness in East Rutherford (0:20), moving to the bad vibes in LA (6:40) and wrapping up with Guice's Thursday morning surgery with Dr. James Andrews (10:35).Liz and Matt are joined this week by the human sports encyclopedia, Scott Pianowski to go through some overreactions to Week 1 — specifically, which players have left them jilted or tilted from the likes of Tyler Lockett, Corey Davis, Aaron Rodgers, Devin Singletary and Geronimo Allison (15:50).Our experts then preview some key Week 2 matchups (31:25) and close out the show with some daily fantasy bargains and fades (44:15).Please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBFollow Scott @scott_pianowski See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Ep 78Week 1 Recap: Rookie WRs go off in Week 1, rookie RBs...not so much

Before we get into all the most important talking points of the first Sunday of Week 1, Liz Loza and Matt Harmon would be remiss if they didn’t talk about the mind-boggling Antonio Brown situation (0:10). This is the stuff conspiracy theories are made for. After all the craziness of AB’s extremely short-lived tenure with the Raiders, Brown is now a member of the New England Patriots. Tom Brady will now have the luxury of throwing to Julian Edelman, Josh Gordon, and Brown. Can’t make this stuff up, folks. But let’s move onto a wild football Sunday, starting with the tie in Arizona (5:05). Was the come-from-behind stalemate a good sign for Kyler Murray and Kliff Kingsbury's air raid offense?Jacksonville’s offense suffered a massive blow on Sunday, losing quarterback Nick Foles to a broken clavicle. Rookie Gardner Minshew entered and threw the football well, but the Jags couldn’t keep up with the Chiefs machine (10:00). What does this mean for the outlooks of Leonard Fournette, Dede Westbrook, D.J. Chark, and Chris Conley (who all had their moments on Sunday)?Liz and Matt then run down some of the rookie performances on Sunday, and, well, the rookie receivers outclassed their running back counterparts (16:30). Led by Marquise “Hollywood” Brown (4 catches, 147 yards, 2 TDs), A.J. Brown (3 catches, 100 yards) and Terry McLaurin (5 catches, 125 yards, 1 TD) showed OUT early, while Devin Singletary (4 rushes, 70 yds/5 catches, 28 yds), David Montgomery (10 rushes, 18 yds/1 rec, 27 yds), and Miles Sanders (11 rushes, 25 yds/1 catch, 2 yds) had their moments, but couldn’t outshine the receivers. We received as hard of a confirmation as we could have possibly gotten from the Minnesota Vikings’ new offensive philosophy, as running back Dalvin Cook took his 23 touches for 113 total yards and two TDs (35:40). For comparison, Kirk Cousins had just 10 passing attempts. One confirmation we didn’t receive this week was the expected high-flying Browns offense, which totally bottomed out this week.Baker Mayfield had an ugly day, throwing three picks, and the offense just couldn’t get any consistency going against the Titans (39:00). On the flip-side, the Baltimore Ravens had EVERYTHING going on Sunday, crushing the Dolphins, 59-10. Lamar Jackson silenced his haters (at least this week) by throwing five touchdowns and completing 85 percent of his passes. Oh, and he had just three rushing attempts.
