Voters in North Carolina made their voices heard on Tuesday night, casting their votes for several races including multiple spots on the Council of State that were up for grabs, one of those races is for State Auditor and at this hour the race not yet totally over or called by the Associated Press but it does appear likely that Dave Boliek is on the verge of becoming the next Auditor with 99% of the vote in and Mr. Boliek with a lead of just over 1,000 votes. Dave Boliek joins Chris Edwards to discuss this race.

The election results are mostly in as voters across the country and locally across North Carolina have made their voices heard for the next leaders of our state and our country, Chris Edwards breaks it all down this morning with Meredith College Political Science Professor, David McLennan.

Many might waking up this morning with an added feeling of stress or being anxious based on the results or the impending results of this election season, with Chris Edwards to offer tips on how to cope with some of those feelings about the country and the Election is Sarah Coates with 180 counseling.

A new study is shedding light on how and where people are using generative AI, and it appears it’s growing the most in the workplace. A study, commissioned by the Computer and Communications Industry Association (CCIA) shows nearly 40 percent of people use AI applications at work several times a day on their desktops and that number is expected to explode over the next year. On Thursday, Lawmakers returned to Jones Street to move forward in an aid package for those in Western North Carolina that have been impacted by Hurricane Helene as the legislature approved a new $604 million relief bill - this adds to the $273 million that was approved earlier this month. This move comes one day following Governor Roy Cooper's proposed $3.9 billion in disaster relief from the state as a response to the damage caused by Helene. The Governor also estimated the damage in Western North Carolina at around $53 billion and said the proposal yesterday would be used for costs that would not be covered by the federal government. With Chris Edwards to offer perspective on all of this is Buncombe County Senator Julie Mayfield.

The 120th World Series get underway tonight in Los Angeles at Dodger Stadium where the Dodgers host the Yankees - first pitch set for 8:08 pm on FOX and with Chris Edwards to offer a preview of this year's Fall Classic is Tony Riggsbee who joins him from Arizona.

The Craft Brewing Industry in North Carolina is rapidly growing with breweries popping up all over the Old North State, however, Hurricane Helene did impact some of these breweries in the western part of our state.
