Increase Your Power of Your Focus in 4 Steps
[[:encoded, "Living your life without practicing The Power of Focus, is like trying to hit the bull’s eye of a target you can’t see. You can spend hours launching arrows, only to miss the target entirely. You become exhausted and frustrated when your repeated efforts don’t show the results you are trying to achieve. This is what it feels like to operate without The Power of Focus.\n\nTo get to where you want to be, you must hold clear in your mind what you most want. Your subconscious mind is a powerful, goal-achieving machine, but it can’t lead you to your desired goal, if you don’t provide it with a specific target. If it doesn’t have a clear and specific target, it can’t get you there. As Stephen Covey would say, you must begin with the end in mind.\n\nThe Power of Focus is the practice of focusing on the ‘right’ tasks at hand, while minimizing distractions that take your focus away from your goals. It will improve time management, professional and personal performance, task efficiency, overall life balance, and provide your mind the information it needs to get you to the bull’s eye.\n\nWhen you focus on the ‘right’ activities that lead to ‘big’ goal achievement, you will succeed. A client of mine set a goal she was afraid to set because she had never been successful at achieving it before. We brainstormed a list of what we thought were the ‘right’ activities she needed to do in order to achieve this particular goal. She got focused on these activities, did them, and exceeded her goal! The same thing can happen for you when you focus on the ‘right’ activities.\n\nStep 1.\nCreate a Long-Term Goal List\nWhat are your Long-Term Goals within the next 3-5 years? Within 10 or 20 years? They can be anything you want - but they must be what you really want. Your Long-Term Goals should go far beyond your comfort zone and how you would ideally like to see your life. Asking to retire rich isn’t specific enough - you must include as many details as possible along with the date you would like to achieve each goal. A date includes a month, day, and year for each goal. \n\nStep 2.\nCreate a Short-Term Goal List.\nWhat are your Short-Term Goals? Within one week? Within 3 or 6 months? Whatever they are, include specific dates down to the month, day and year. Prioritize your short-term goals and put the goal that is most important to you at the top of the list. When you finish the most important things, move them off your list and do the next one, then the next Unlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! Being Professionally Persistent Can Pay Off Big!
[[:encoded, "Persistence is to success as excuses are to failure. Never, never give up - there is always a way.\n\nJim Rohn said, “If you want something, you will find a way. If you don’t, you’ll find an excuse.” And he should know. A college drop-out, and in a rut, in debt and unable to see his way out by his mid-twenties, Jim set out to achieve more. And he did. His persistence paid off and by age 31, he was a millionaire. \n\nIf you want more, you WILL find a way, because there always IS a way. With persistence and consistent action, you will make it happen. If you don't believe me, keep listening.\n\nDid you know that Thomas Edison had over 10,000 failed attempts to create the light bulb before he was successful? His persistence was as valuable as his invention. 10,000 failed attempts and look what he created! Even if you’re not out to change the world, what could you create with an unresolved persistence?\n\nAllyson Felix made it to the Olympics in just over one year. With an intense training schedule of five to six hours per day, her persistence paid off. By the end of her training season in 2003, she had broken many records, including one set by Olympic Gold Medalist, Marion Jones. At the 2004 Olympics, she won the Silver Medal by running a 22.18 in the 200-meter race. Amazingly, she did all of this while being a high-school senior and a freshman college student.\n\nPersistence always pays off - and sometimes big time! It's a known fact that more business deals are inked when one of the parties is persistent. Now, being persistent is not the same as being pushy; rather, it is voicing your ideal fit and expertise to someone that may not be aware of the benefits they will receive working with you. They will appreciate your persistence and the benefits - but you have to make them known.\n\nYou’ve probably heard of Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen, and their best-selling book series, Chicken Soup for the Soul. Did you know they marketed the original books to over 130 publishers, over a two-year period before a struggling publisher agreed to publish it. That's two years of phone calls, foot-peddling and persistence that started a best-selling book series. The authors knew the value of the book, it came down to making it known to the right publisher. Once the publisher saw the value, they knew what the benefits would be. Their first book went on to sell 8 million copies in 39 languages. And to date, the series has sold more than 100 miUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! 5 Key Principles to Business Success and How to Utilize Them
[[:encoded, "Today we are going to talk about 5 Key Principles to Business Success and How to Utilize Them.\n\nUnderstanding common keys to business success is essential to any business owner who is looking to move on to the next level. A lot of people don’t understand that almost all successful businesses have a few things in common. Figuring out exactly what these common denominators are and how to use them in your business can provide you with some very valuable insight as you seek to increase revenue and enlarge your profit margins. \n\nPrinciple #1… Be Organized\nOrganization is key when it comes to business. If you can’t take care of your desk, then how do you plan on taking care of your company? Keeping everything organized, from paperwork to personnel, will not only eliminate confusion, but will set a good example for everyone in your firm. \n\nHow to Utilize Organization for Your Business\nUtilizing this principle begins with YOU. To start with, never leave an area without making sure that you have organized it. If you have papers on your desk at night, organize them and put them away before you go home. On the same note, make sure that employees keep their areas neat and tidy. Never allow clutter or chaos to rule your workspace. If you have several people doing the same job, you can take a picture of the ideal workspace and how to organize it for maximum effectiveness. Add this photo to the procedures manual so everyone has access to it.\n\nPrinciple #2… Do Research\nNeil Armstrong once said “In much of society, research means to investigate something you do not know or understand.” When it comes to business, it is extremely important to investigate before taking a leap, and this investigation is exactly what research is. \n\nHow to Utilize Research for Your Business\nUse research to test any theories that you might have before taking decisive action. Are you thinking of carrying a new type of product? Then do some research and find out if your clients/prospects would buy such a product. Decisions that are not researched thoroughly beforehand can end up failing, especially if you happen to guess wrong about factors that could have been tested and investigated beforehand. \n\nPrinciple #3… Be Passionate\nBeing passionate about what you are doing is a must have if you want to move ahead. If you are not passionate about what you are doing, then odds are good that you are going to get burnt out and sick of it. The most successful businesses in the world were Unlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! 4 Efficient and Effective Behaviors that Increase Success
[[:encoded, "Many professionals agree that, while learning to deal with certain situations in certain ways can be beneficial, the true nature of successful behavior really begins within. In other words, you can study individual problems and how to deal with them, but the only way that you are going to be FULLY equipped to handle any situation is if you learn effective and efficient behavior patterns that literally change the way that you are and how you think. In this episode, we are actually going to discuss four different behaviors that you can take upon yourself to learn. These behaviors are sure-fire ways to change your perspective when it comes to your business, and can equip you with the tools that you need to move onto the next level. \n\nBehavior #1…. Being Proactive\nHumans are a unique type of creature in the way that they REACT to stimuli in an intelligent way. Unlike any other creature in the world, humans have the ability to decide for themselves how they will react to a particular situation or circumstance. Unlike humans, animals do not possess this ability. They respond to situations more like a computer program. They follow their instincts. But as humans, we have a choice. \n\nBeing proactive is a very human trait, and it is an especially prevalent behavior among very accomplished and professional businesspeople. In essence, to be proactive means to be the opposite of reactive. You need to move forward, always aware of your destination and of problems that might impede you. Once you get there, you will react accordingly. You might try to go around it, you might ask someone to fix it for you, or you might try to fix it yourself. \n\nBeing proactive, however, is quite different. If you go through life being proactive, then you will actively be aware of anything that could potentially slow you down or hinder you. You will also prepare yourself to deal with such problems before they arise, and will often find ways of turning them into opportunities. You will also be constantly aware of what is going on around you, and will be able to take appropriate action before the need to do something is thrust upon you. By acting quickly and before you must, you will often find that the advantage will belong to you, which is another HUGE benefit to being proactive.\n\nTo be proactive in life, start by looking around you at any possible problems that might be lingering. How can you use these problems to create new opportunities for yourself? That is what being proacUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! Going from Overwhelmed to Easy in 5 Simple Steps
[[:encoded, "Owning and running a business is no easy task as we already know. There is a lot to do every day, and odds are good that you find yourself feeling overwhelmed from time to time. With everything that needs to get done, it can be very easy to get bogged down. Looking at a to-do list for the month might discourage you, especially when you consider the fact that there are simply a LOT of things on that list that nobody else can really help you with! \n\nSo, what do you do in situations like this? How do you go from being overwhelmed to easily accomplishing everything that you need accomplished? That is a very good question, and it is the exact topic that we are going to cover today. Let’s now explore the 5 simple steps that you can use to get from the ‘overwhelmed’ stage to the ‘easy’ stage. Some of these tips might sound familiar to you, but I’ll bet that if you try these steps in order, you will find your over-filled to-do list MUCH easier to deal with!\n\nStep #1… Break It Up\nBreaking your to-do list down into smaller sections can often make it much easier to handle. Instead of looking at the entire list at once, make it a point to separate it into smaller sections. For example, instead of having a week’s worth of tasks written down and marking them off as you complete them, try breaking this week into days. This will make it that much easier to avoid getting overwhelmed. Your list should always be in priority order with the highest payoff activities at the top.\n\nStep #2… Get Organized\nOnce you have broken your task list down into smaller sections, it is time to get organized! Make sure you have allocated appropriate time on your calendar to complete your tasks. At the beginning of every new task, take a minute to gather what you will need to begin the next task on the list. Getting everything together in the beginning will streamline the process and keep you from having to take breaks to fetch things. Spending the time to completely prepare will pay for itself in the short and long run. \n\n“Discipline is doing what you know you should do at the time you should do it,\neven if you don’t feel like it.”\n– Rowena Szeszeran-McEvoy\n\nStep #3… Determine Whether or Not to Delegate\nAs a business owner, you undoubtedly have employees who can help you to perform some tasks. While some things on your to-do list might be exclusively for you to tackle, take a minute or two each day to evaluate what you might be able to delegate to others. Delegating can savUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! 6 Tips for Becoming Even More Confident in Business
[[:encoded, "Confidence is absolutely essential if you want to make friends, influence people, and wake up energized day after day. A lack of confidence can be a pretty serious problem in a lot of different ways. It can affect your goals, your daily work, how you interact with people, and how you perceive yourself. If you don’t have enough confidence to believe in yourself, then you are going to have trouble ever achieving your goals. In fact, a complete lack of confidence will likely keep you from even setting goals!\n\nAs a successful businessperson, you no doubt realize that confidence is important… and you would probably not have gotten as far as you have without having at least a good measure of it. If, however, you ever find yourself doubting whether you are ‘good enough’ or ‘capable’, then this article is for you! Let’s now explore 5 tips for becoming even more confident than you are now. Finding more confidence will help you as you venture on towards the next level of success, and can help to guard you against a recurrence in self-doubt or demotivation. \n\nTip #1… Walk Faster\nDo you ever notice how confident people seem to walk faster than people who are not as sure of themselves? This is because confident people are usually busy, full of purpose, and have a ‘method’ to their madness! Next time you go out, try to think about all of the important things that you will be needed for. Think about how important your time is, and think about how much more you could accomplish if you got to where you were going in less time. Believe it or not, brisk walking can actually fill you with a sense of purpose and security about yourself. You will actually feel more confident if you lengthen your strides and walk like you have a reason to get somewhere (which you do! You are, after all, a successful businessperson… and you DESERVE to feel like one!). \n\nTip #2… Create and Periodically Review Your “Me” File\nKeeping a ‘me’ file on hand filled with emails, letters, cards, and other positive communications or comments from clients and friends is one of the best ways to help give your confidence level a boost on those days when you don’t feel as good about yourself. Keep this file close at hand, and pull out a few letters to read when you start to feel down. If you ever feel like you are not good enough, looking back on good things that were said to you can REALLY have a positive impact. The whole point of this tip is to remind yourself that you ARE successful, and that yUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! Turn Challenging Events into Opportunities to Grow Your Biz
[[:encoded, "Just in case you haven't seen or shared with your clients and prospects something that can hopefully, favorably influence their fears and concerns about the impact of the Coronavirus (Covid-19), the one I've seen that does the good job of explaining this new virus, it's effects, and best prevention tips (without any of the media hype either way), is from the Mayo Clinic. You can view their special report link in the show notes (http://bit.ly/2IDU3Wq). Of course, there are many great, short reports out there for you to use from very reputable organizations.\n\nAfter you’ve sent an email to your clients and prospects, implementing 2 ideas I’m going to share can turn these challenging events into an opportunity to elevate your client value and grow your business.\n\n1.\tCALL every client. Glean your talking points for that conversation from the text in the email you previously sent them. Sample Script for a Financial Advisor - “You may have seen the email l sent with my thoughts about how the Coronavirus events could impact your money. The purpose of my call is to see how you’re feeling and answer any questions you may have.” Listen with empathy. Be prepared to respond to market, economy, and Coronavirus questions. Ask follow-up questions and listen with empathy. If the 'door opens' to have another phone conversation or a face-to-face meeting that may lead to being of service and doing more business, step through it. If not, feel good about being of service to your clients. Well done.\n\n2.\tCALL every prospect, friend, and family member in your database to have the same conversation. This means that you sent the same message your clients received to your prospects, friends, and family members. The same script works (for a Financial Advisor). “You may have seen the email l sent with my thoughts about how the Coronavirus events could impact your money. The purpose of my call is to see how you’re feeling and answer any questions you may have.” Listen with empathy. Be prepared to respond to market, economy, and Coronavirus questions. Ask follow-up questions and listen with empathy. If the 'door opens' to have another phone conversation or a face-to-face meeting that could lead to being of further service and doing business, step through it. Are Limiting Beliefs Stopping You from Achieving Your Goals?
[[:encoded, "Today you have the opportunity to download a complimentary special guidebook called, Are Limiting Beliefs Stopping You from Achieving Your Goals?\n\nTo give you some insight about what this special guidebook is about and why you want to read it.…I believe that, inherently speaking, there is nothing that you are not capable of accomplishing. The truth is there is no such thing as can't - you only think you can't. Success is not a special privilege handed out to a selected few; success comes to applying success-oriented beliefs. Transform limiting beliefs into success beliefs and you can achieve anything.\n\nSometimes people don't realize their limiting beliefs have created an obstacle that is stopping them from achieving their goals.\n\nFor example, let me tell you a quick story. \nDuring one of my coaching sessions with a client, I asked him about his success with obtaining referrals (which is a key to any business). He told me that he typically will receive two referrals per client. When I asked him why he thought he didn't receive more, he replied, I just can’t imagine obtaining more than two referrals per client because that is what I typically receive. Then I asked him if he expected and believed he would receive more than two referrals (something like 5, 8, 12 or 25), did he think he might actually receive more referrals? He hesitated for a minute and in an \"a-ha\" moment, said yes. He realized at that moment his limiting belief was holding him back from something more. As soon as he changed his limiting belief, he began experiencing a higher number of referrals from his clients. How are limiting beliefs affecting your success?\n\nWhen you let go of limiting beliefs, you gain the power to not only get around obstacles, but prevent your mind from creating them in the future. In this complimentary Special Guidebook, we explore 7 Success-Oriented Beliefs that will help you realize that you can do anything and any obstacles you face are only imaginary blocks created by your limiting beliefs.\n\nApply these 7 success-oriented beliefs to create a success driven business and life.\n\nDownload this complimentary guidebook, Are Limiting Beliefs Stopping You from Achieving Your Goals today and crush any limiting beliefs you have or don’t know you have. 4 Tips for Being More Consistent - Increase Business Success
[[:encoded, "When it comes to your business, consistency is absolutely essential to increasing success. Becoming and staying consistent is not always easy, but it will always produce better results. \n\nWhat exactly does it mean to be consistent? I would say that Merriam-Websters dictionary probably says it best…\n\n“Consistent - Marked by harmony, regularity, or steady continuity:\nfree from variation or contradiction.”\n\nStaying consistent will mean a number of things to you as you grow your business. To clients, you will appear reliable, dependable, capable, and steady. To your employees, you will appear congruous and constant. Consistency makes up a huge part of what causes a business to be successful, and achieving consistency will bring you a step closer to realizing this success on your own terms. \n\nWe are going to explore 4 tips that can help you to become even more consistent each and every day. Some of these tips might seem like no-brainers; however, following them faithfully can have a dramatic impact on the outcome of any project that you might be working on, be it large or small. \n\n1… Create and Execute a Game Plan\nHaving a set plan is absolutely essential to staying consistent. Without a firmly established success road map, you could very easily veer off course. This could cause variation in any part of your business, even if you are trying as hard as you can to avoid it. In truth, it is really hard to stay focused and regular when you do not have a plan to work from that can help you realize how to get to where you ultimately want to be. To help you consistently execute your plan, you need to make sure you utilize your calendar, so you can stay focused on exactly what needs to be done every day.\n\nDoes your business have policies and procedures for all of its work-related tasks? Do your employees have access to these procedures? How do you know that your employees have this information, and it is accurate? The failure to have a plan in place is a common-enough occurrence among businesses, but you would be amazed at how many businesses forget about putting together a plan for informing everyone involved, as keeping such information current is important! \n\n2… Encourage Open Communication\nHave you ever had a team member who asked you a lot of questions or the same questions over and over? Believe it or not, some people naturally get aggravated when they are asked questions, even if they pertain to the important aspects of running the businessUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! 3 Tips for Working Smarter Instead of Harder
[[:encoded, "We have all heard that old adage that tells us to ‘work smarter, not harder’. While you probably remember someone telling you this while you helped with chores on the farm, it can sometimes be difficult to employ such wisdom to a modern business. How do you do it? What does that even mean in today’s world?\n\nWhen it comes to modern business, this mentality could not be more useful… but truth be told, it can definitely be hard to fit it in if you are not used to it. So, here are three tips that will show you how to work smarter instead of harder in today’s world, so you too can enjoy an even better quality of life. These tips will not only inspire you to attack your duties from a new perspective, but will also encourage you to use your intellect as opposed to your raw, exhaustible physical effort. \n\nTip #1… Streamline the Process\nDo you find yourself putting vast amounts of time or effort into activities that are performed on a regular, consistent basis? If so, then streamlining these processes could save you a lot of time and effort. Finding the most time-effective and energy efficient way to get daily tasks accomplished is not only a way to ‘work smarter’, but is also a way to save your business valuable time and money… and if you are the boss, then it is up to you to come up with such methods for the areas you are responsible for! Every team member should have systems and processes for ALL of their respective areas. This can help to reduce training time and the time it takes to replace employees, either on a permanent or a temporary basis. \n\nStart by looking at everything that needs to be done and by identifying the areas of the greatest wasted effort or resources. How can you arrange or delegate activities so that they can be completed as efficiently as possible by the best person for each task? One example might be moving boxes from one end of the warehouse to the other. Instead of picking each one up and moving it individually, is it possible to pick up the entire pallet and just move them with a wheeled goose in one trip? \n\nSome situations might require some brainstorming, but keep in mind that there are always easier ways to do things… all you have to do to both save your company money and make your life just a little bit easier, is to discover a way to streamline the process, so that you eliminate excess effort. With current technology and continual advancements, you should always be open to new ideas.\n\nTip #2... 10 Quick and Easy Tips for Beating Procrastination
[[:encoded, "Procrastination is no joke. Putting things off until later can spell ruin for even the most successful businessperson… which is EXACTLY why it is a problem that you should make an effort to continually deal with when you notice it negatively affecting your results. If you suffer from procrastination, then you undoubtedly know that it can be extremely troublesome. You no doubt want to work hard and get things done, but some people find this more difficult to do than others. If you are one of those people, then this podcast is for you! \n\nHere are 10 quick and easy tips for beating procrastination. Winning this battle doesn’t have to be rocket science or making it harder than it needs to be. Sometimes, finding a little bit of help (like these tips) is all that you need to tip the scales back to your favor!\n\nTip #1… Get Up and Get Going\nIf you feel the urge to procrastinate coming upon you, then sometimes the best thing to do is to get up and get moving – don’t let yourself put off what you need to do. The minute you start to deviate from what you know you need to be doing is exactly when you need to take a deep breath, and just do it. Stop letting those typical excuses to stop you from getting going! Changing scenery can often change your frame of mind, and you might find that going for a walk, taking a jog, or even grabbing a cup of coffee can help you to clear your mind and get you back on track to getting things done. (Just don’t do it too often, as doing this EVERY TIME you get the urge to procrastinate can actually become procrastination itself.)\n\nTip #2… Wake Up Earlier \nWaking up earlier in the day can often improve your odds of getting things accomplished. More productive people are generally out and about during the early morning hours, and you will likely find the atmosphere a lot more conducive to productivity than the atmosphere of the early afternoon or evening hours. Get up earlier to exercise, stretch, meditate, and get those juices flowing to immediately tackle your highest payoff activities the moment you arrive at work. \n\nTip #3… Clean and Organize as You Go\nSometimes we get so surrounded by clutter and chaos that we end up getting defeated before we begin. Looking around you and seeing a mess is usually never conducive to productivity, which is why it can really pay to keep things clean and tidy as your day progresses. Five or ten minutes spent prioritizing your activities can pay big dividends as the day goes on. \n\nTip #4Unlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! How to Embrace Your Inner Power to Stick to Your Game Plan
[[:encoded, "Embracing your inner power is important if you want to continue to progress as a successful businessperson, though learning to get past your own self-imposed boundaries can be a challenge. In order to fully understand how we can use our ‘inner power’ to stick to our game plan in life, we are going to first examine what it takes to unlock it. \n\nUnlocking your ‘inner power’\nYou will hear a lot of people talk about inner power, what it is, what it does, where it comes from, and how to unlock it. You will hear a lot of people say that we, as humans, are actually made up of two different parts. There is, of course, of physically manifested body… but there is also the non-manifested consciousness. In theory, humans often hold themselves back because they only gauge and perceive the physical… not what lies beneath the surface. In theory, if you can learn to recognize that you have control over your destiny, you will be able to think, dream, or plan any reality that you want for yourself. It is all about believing in yourself, and about ‘being’ the person that you want to be. \n\nUnlocking this ability, generally, requires you to step outside of your typical thought framework and to bypass your own self-imposed boundaries. You need to open yourself up to the idea that you CAN create any reality for yourself that you choose… even if it means taking your already successful business and making it even more successful. If you believe that this will happen, to the point where you don’t really see how anything else is possible, then you will begin to feel what it means to unlock your inner power. To go through life with an attitude so positive that you literally don’t see failure as an option is going to make ALL the difference in the world. \n\nIn order to unlock this power, you need to stop setting yourself up for failure! Stop being surprised when things work out. Don’t plan on failure… plan on DOING until what you envision for yourself is accomplished. \n\n\"It is never too late to be what you might have been.\" \n- George Eliot\n\nUsing you inner power to stick to your game-plan\nIf you already have a game plan, then using your inner power to accomplish it will make it far more likely to succeed. First, you need to realize, within yourself, that failure is not an option. You can literally accomplish ANYTHING if you set your mind to it… so don’t think for a moment that your game plan might lead you to a less than ideal outcome. How to Keep Up and Stay Relevant in Today’s Fast-Paced World
[[:encoded, "There is no doubt that things change as time goes by… but never have things (especially pertaining to business) advanced as rapidly as they do now. With technology evolving and changing on a day to day basis, it can be a challenge to keep up. Marketing, communication, networking, technology, infrastructure… all of these are areas that are constantly affected by the metamorphosis of who we are as humans, and how we do business with one another. \n\nKeeping up with the business world can be a challenge, but it is definitely possible. In fact, those who are the most successful at business in the long run are usually those who are good at adapting to changes as they take place in the world around them. Regardless of what type of business you are in, you are probably going to be hard-pressed to run it without adapting to new technologies as you progress. \n\nCommunication is Only the Beginning\nIf anything has changed in the last twenty years, it has been communications. Businesses now communicate with other businesses, employees, and potential clients in ways that were unheard of just a few short years ago. There was a time (and not that long ago, either) when you mailed checks with order forms if you needed a product from a store far away. There was also a time when landline telephones were a primary method of communication. Do you remember the days when the fax machine was a revolutionary way to receive information on short notice? Even these modern-day wonders have been all but replaced by the advent of newer and more effective technologies. \n\nWhere we used to rely on catching people at home on the landline phone, or leaving a voice mail on the physical voice mail machine, we now all carry cell phones that make us reachable 24/7. Instead of fax machines, we use texting and email to send instant written messages back and forth. Even face-to-face meetings have changed! With services like Skype available to anyone, you can have a face-to-face meeting with your colleague, virtual employee, client, or prospective client from the other side of the world in real time!\n\nHow can you keep up with these changes? How do you know what is being used and what is just a passing fad? These are great questions, and the answers are not as difficult to figure out as you might think. \n\nStaying Current in a Changing World\nThe first thing to remember about staying current is to pay attention to growing and changing trends. Listen to your employees, mentors, and peers. Unlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! 5 Tips for Developing and Keeping Great Habits
[[:encoded, "Your success relies, at least in part, on you spending your time wisely. As a successful businessperson, you no-doubt realize that time is the most precious commodity that you could possibly possess. You also know that moving to the next stage of success will only be possible if you continue to permeate your life with good habits that will help you to make the most of your time. \n\n“Every person who has become successful has simply formed the habit of \ndoing things that failures dislike doing and will not do.” \t\n--John Maxwell\n\nGood habits are an asset that every successful person has to develop… but doing so is not always easy. Developing great habits can be challenging, especially when old habits threaten to rise up again during times of weakness. Therefore, we are exploring 5 tips for developing and keeping great habits. This list will help to remind you of what it takes to create those great habits, and it will also help you to keep from falling back into your old routines that aren't serving you. \n\n1… Define Your Objective\nWhy do you want to develop a certain habit? What are you hoping to achieve by it? Before starting a new routine, it is always a good idea to figure out exactly what you hope will come of it. Are you looking to do away with a bad habit by implementing a new one? Are you looking to lose weight? Are you hoping to make more effective use of your time during the day? Figuring out exactly what you hope to accomplish will enable you to look past the difficulties that you might face. \n\n2… Visualize Overcoming the Obstacles\nEvery new habit is going to be tempted with obstacles. It is important to visualize exactly what might happen that could keep you from sticking to your new habits, and to figure out beforehand how you are going to deal with them. If you are trying to effectively lose weight through better eating habits, then you are going to have to find a way to deal with how to avoid caving in when your mother sends you a box of fresh-baked cookies, or you not eating desert when your spouse regularly eats it after dinner. If you are trying to develop better workout habits, then you are going to have to plan on saying no when your friends want you to skip out on a night at the gym to watch a movie. \n\nThe truth is that good habits are not developed completely overnight. It is going to take some effort to implement them, so make sure that you can visualize a way to get through obstacles before they happen. Getting On Top and Staying On Top
[[:encoded, "Operating at the top of your game and being the very best you can be is essential to being successful. If you can find a way to always give 100%, no matter what you are doing, then you will most likely find yourself in a successful position if you keep at it long enough. But how do you continue to do your best, every single day – day in and day out? How do you keep from burning out? \n\nBurnout happens to all of us at some point along the way. We try our best in the beginning, but eventually ‘other’ things start to sneak into our mindset and overwhelm can quickly and easily take over. We allow ourselves to take shortcuts and to lose focus. We get lazy about things that are hard to focus on. We start to let quality drop in certain areas. We start to feel run-down and tired, and sometimes, we even end up losing interest in doing a great job altogether. \n\nNow we are going to explore 5 tips for always doing your best. These tips are simple, and can really help you to get on top of your game. And once you are there, they will also help you to stay there!\n\nTip #1-Get Enough Sleep\nThis might seem like a no-brainer, but sleep is essential to doing your best. Having enough sleep is actually so vital that you could find not getting enough of it can actually physically keep you from performing tasks at the height of your ability. A lack of sleep can not only cause drowsiness and the inability to focus, but can also result in impaired cognitive function, making it harder for you to reason and think logically. If you normally stay up late and find yourself drowsy and half-asleep in the morning, you might need to re-think your sleeping pattern. Try going to bed a half hour or an hour earlier than normal, so that you allow your brain the kind of time it needs to wake up on its own. Statistics actually show that many of us go through life sleep deprived. Imagine the difference that you could make in your life if you were fully rested and raring to go each and every day! Wouldn’t it be great if you didn’t wake up wishing you could sleep for another hour or two? \n\nTip #2-Maintain a Healthy Diet\nEating right is actually essential to doing your best. Some people have a huge problem with this. Their diet consists of soda, chips, cookies, and anything else they can get out of a vending machine or at the fast-food restaurant. A bad diet saps your energy, makes you tired, and hurts your immune system. 4 Steps to Building Persistent Behavior in Your Business
[[:encoded, "Persistence is sort of like a ‘magic word’ when it comes to success, in my opinion. Persistence is basically the repetition or continuation of behavior, and it is an absolutely essential part of business. As a successful business owner, you no doubt have at least a pretty good idea of what it takes to be persistent, though it never hurts to revisit a subject that is this important. \n\nThe whole idea of persistence revolves around the fact that motivation has a tendency to wax and wane a bit as time goes by. Persistence is a behavior that can be learned, but it is also a behavior which will render this troublesome waxing and waning of your motivation harmless in the long run, which is why it is so instrumental to expanding your current level of success. However, since persistence is an attribute of longevity, it can take some strength of mind and some psychological fortitude to really believe in it enough to make a commitment to practice it day after day. We are now going to discuss 4 steps to building persistent behavior. Following these steps will help you with the process of more consistently being a persistent person so you can experience even better results. \n\nStep #1… Realize That Motivation Is Not Enough\nGetting motivated is a great way to start your day, but unless you are an enigma with an endless supply of motivation… you are going to experience some downtimes. The sad truth is that, to put it quite bluntly, motivation is GOING to fail you at some point or another. A lot of people will look at a lack of motivation and think to themselves that maybe they are not doing the right thing. They will wonder why they used to be so excited about it, only to now believe that they have lost their excitement forever. \n\nThis can be a big problem if you do not know exactly what is going on. Motivation, very typically, comes and goes much like the waves on a sandy beach. One day, you might be filled with motivation. You might feel like you could conquer the world. But, as time goes by, you may notice this motivation begin to leave you. At some point, you will realize that the tide has completely gone out. You will feel drained, exhausted, discouraged, and you may even have thoughts about wanting to give up. \n\nThese are the typical ups and downs that you will experience in business, and this is EXACLTY why you need persistence! Without it, you would be more likely to act on these highs and lows instead of just riding through them and moving forward tUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! How to Identify and Change ‘Limiting Beliefs’
[[:encoded, "A limiting belief is a belief that holds you back from realizing your full potential. They can be hard to spot, but for those who suffer from them, they can be very debilitating and troublesome. So how do you identify them, and how do you change them?\n\nThe first thing that we will talk about is how to spot them. \n\nHow to Identify a ‘Limiting Belief’\nA limiting belief is almost always a negative thing. It usually manifests itself as a sub-conscious thought that keeps you from trying something. Most of the time, such a belief causes you to give up before you try, simply because you believe that you are no good at. An example could be math… if you have a limiting belief that you are ‘bad at math’, then you may not even attempt to comprehend an in-depth math problem. \n\nLimiting beliefs usually have roots in our past experiences. Perhaps someone once told you that you were bad at it, and hearing that really affected you? Or maybe you attempted it once long ago, and failed… so now you believe that you are inherently ‘bad’ at whatever it is you tried. Maybe you took a class on it in school, and failed the class… so you believe within your own mind that there is absolutely NO way that you could ever be good at that particular subject. Maybe you have always received 1-2 referrals every time you asked so you believe that is all you will ever get when you ask. \n\nIdentifying such a belief is not always easy, but it is essential to be honest with yourself. Anything that you believe is not worth trying is usually tied to a limiting belief, and you usually believe the way you do because of something that happened in the past. \n\nHow to Get Past It\nGetting past such a belief can be mentally challenging, because odds are good that you have spent a great deal of time avoiding it or putting yourself down about it or haven't ever thought outside the box and beyond it. Getting past such a mental roadblock can definitely be accomplished, but you have got to use logic… and you are often going to have to bypass your emotions or feelings of inferiority in the process. \n\nBegin by thinking about WHY you have this belief. Is it because of something that somebody said? Is it because of something that someone has done? Is it because you have failed at it in the past? Is it because you kept getting the same outcome you now don't expect more is possible? Any number of these things could have happened, but it is important that you do not let these things define who you aUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! 4 Ways in Which Time Management Principles Can Benefit You
[[:encoded, "Time management is an art that a lot of successful entrepreneurs have mastered, and for good reason. Since time is your most precious commodity, it would only make sense that you would put effort into using it as efficiently as possible. Time is an interesting resource because everyone in the world really has the same amount of it each day. Some of us choose to use it one way, while others choose to use it in different ways. \n\nAs a successful professional, you have no doubt realized that time management is essential to getting everything done, but do you know that practicing efficiency in this manner also has other benefits? Using your time wisely can offer you a lot of positives that will help you in other ways, which is exactly what this Podcast is about. We are going to explore four ways in which time management can help you as you progress to the next level of success. You might be surprised to learn how beneficial it can be to ‘watch the clock’ while you go about your day!\n\n\"We cannot waste time. We can only waste ourselves.\" \n-- George Matthew Adams\n\n1. Time Management Principles Give You Control Over Your Life\nTime management actually allows you more control over your life. By planning ahead and figuring out how you are going to fit everything in, you are allowing yourself more control over what actually gets done. Prioritizing the things that you planned can help you to get them out of the way quickly and easily, thus making more room in life for the things that you would rather be doing. \n\nA lot of people fail to remember that time is going to get used up every day, no matter what you do. Whether you get a lot done or not, you are STILL going to have 24 less hours than you did the day before. This is why it is so essential to make sure that you are controlling your own destiny by mapping out how you want to get things accomplished. Moving on to the next level of success is going to depend on you being in absolute control of your life. If you cannot even control your time, how do you think that you are going to be able to control anything else? Time management principles can DEFINITELY help with this!\n\n\"A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life.\"\n- Charles Darwin\n\n2. Time Management Principles Allow You to Be Even More Productive\nBy looking ahead and managing your time effectively, you will surely begin to notice that your productivity level will increase as well. Consistency – The Model to Increase Your Success
[[:encoded, "When it comes to business, consistency is absolutely a key to success. Becoming and staying as consistent as you need to be to achieve your goals is not always easy, but it is a behavior that anyone involved in business would do well to learn and apply.\n\nThe truth is that more businesses fail than succeed. Statistically, the odds of any new business actually 'making it' and becoming profitable enough to sustain itself are slim. But how can you overcome the odds? What can you do to propel your business to a place where it can not only be successful, but also grow and prosper? To accomplish success on this level, you need to embody several behaviors and habits, but one of the most crucial of these is consistency. \n\nIf you can learn to be consistent, then your talent can be fully realized and your ideas can be given a fair chance of working. You would be amazed at how many businesses, started by talented and intelligent people, fail because they neglect to continue in their good habits, day in and day out. A lot of factors come into play, but there is no substitute for being determined, reliable, and consistent. \n\nBecoming the ‘Model of Success’\nOne of the key concepts to understand, as it relates to consistency, lies in the idea that you need to 'become what you desire to become'. In other words, don't just hope that your business will succeed. Instead, start living it on a day to day basis. Embody your ideas to the point where you make them real. When you believe in you and in your business enough, you can only succeed!\n\nIf your company was really busy and successful, then you would most likely need to do things a certain way to generate that result and outcome. But for a new start up, for a business that has not grown to that point yet, or even for a business that is older but hasn't grown a whole lot in past years...a lot can be accomplished by, for example, showing up to work and putting in the hours that you would be required to put in if your business were incredibly busy and successful. \n\nBeing consistent in a way as simple as showing up to work, day in and day out, is often overlooked. Many people do not realize how much good a consistent presence on their part can do for their business, even if they have employees who can manage things while they are not there. For example, showing up to work and having little in the way of business actually going on might seem like a waste of time, but you can utilize down time to further your ideas Unlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! 5 Steps to Identifying and Channeling Your Motivation
[[:encoded, "Today we are going to talk about 5 Steps to Identifying and Channeling Your Motivation.\n\nMotivation can be a powerful tool, but many people struggle to ever identify, nurture, and channel it properly. In fact, if we go to the dictionary, we will see that motivation is derived from its root word, ‘motive’. So, to be motivated, you need to have a motive, which is…\n\n\t“Something (as a need or desire) that causes a person to act.” –Merriam-webster.com. \n\nAs we see from our dictionary description, motivation is, basically, a motive that is going to cause you to act. All of us have motivations for doing what we do, but rarely is this applied to its maximum effectiveness. The truth is that a lot of people struggle to get motivated. They get in a slump, they stop trying, and eventually, motivation does not cause them to move forward… it simply serves as a hibernating survival mechanism that keeps them from falling apart. \n\n“Self-motivation is the power that raises a person to any level he seeks.”\n--John Maxwell\n\nBut as a successful businessperson, you no doubt know that motivation plays an important role in the life of any successful person… and you should also know that learning to identify and channel your motivation can be a huge driving force that can carry you to the next level of success. But how do you use it? How do you identify it, and how do you channel it? We are doing to explore five simple steps that will give you everything you need to get started. \n\nStep #1… Identify your singular goal\nA lot of people fall into slumps because they are trying to do too many things all at the same time. We all have different goals in life. That cannot really be avoided… but identifying your one, true, singular goal can REALLY help to ground you and bring you back to reality. What is your purpose? What do you want to achieve? What matters more than anything else? These are questions that can help you to identify your most important goal. Once you figure out what that is, you will be well on your way to figuring out what to do next. \n\nTo download my complimentary 6-page Values Clarification Exercise to help get you started on defining and getting clarity on your singular goal and your values, go to https://www.accountabilitycoach.com/values-clarification/.\n\nStep #2… Get Inspired\nIf you have been having trouble getting and staying motivated, you might need a little bit of help in the inspiration department. How to Communicate In a Way That Produces Results
[[:encoded, "Communication is critical to every aspect of interaction with others. As a successful businessperson, you have no doubt realized the importance of communication. You know that productivity can only be achieved when proper communication has been as well. You know that nothing gets accomplished efficiently unless those in charge communicate with one another. \n\nTo put it quite plainly, nothing gets done if communication doesn’t happen! But how do you communicate effectively? How do you maximize the effectiveness of your words and correspondences so that you will see RESULTS instead of wasted time and effort? That is a great question, and that is EXACTLY what we are going to talk about in this article. \n\nWhy Is Communication Necessary?\nTo understand how to get results through communication, it is important to realize why it is so necessary. When people work together on a project, for a company, or towards the same goal, they will most likely be doing different things that are related. But in order for their actions to be helpful to one another, communication needs to take place. This is, basically, what it is all about. \n\n“If you just communicate you can get by.\nBut if you skillfully communicate, you can work miracles.”\n--Jim Rohn\n\nLearn To Listen\nListening is a key factor when it comes to communicating effectively. I once heard that our brains naturally begin formulating a response to what is said to us after an average of about 15 seconds of hearing someone else speak. That is usually not enough time! Make sure that you are controlling both your ears AND your mouth when someone is speaking to you. Once they are done, you can answer their question or react accordingly. This not only shows respect, but will also keep you from missing information and giving uninformed instructions. Effective communication can only be accomplished when both parties are open to listening to each other. \n\nDon’t Withhold Information\nSometimes, as a leader, it can be tempting to task someone to do something without giving them as much information as you have available. You might think, in your mind, that there is no reason for them to know any more than the absolute minimum. Or, you might think that their job is not to ‘know’ what you know, but rather to blindly ‘do as you say’. While this is an understandable frame of mind, to a point, you will doubtlessly find that you will become a better communicator if you tell your subordinates as much as possible as it perUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! 5 Ways To Stay More Committed To Your Business
[[:encoded, "Today we are going to talk about 5 Ways To Stay More Committed To Your Business.\n\nStaying committed to one thing is not always easy, even when it is your business. When hard times, frustrations, and low spots hit, it can be very tempting to just give up… but quitting will never ensure that you will succeed. In fact, nobody ever succeeded by giving up! Of course, you already know this to be true.\n\nAs a business owner, you are no doubt called upon to wear many hats. You probably work many more hours a week than you pay yourself for, and you likely invest far more effort and energy into the company than anyone else could even begin to comprehend… much less appreciate. All of this can quickly add up. In fact, it is not completely uncommon for business owners to toy with the idea of throwing in the towel to find a regular ‘day job’ where they will not be expected to give so much. \n\nBut staying committed will pay off! In fact, you are going to find that staying committed is not only good for your business, but also good for you as a person. Again, we are going to review 5 ways that you can stay more committed to your business. This list might not be exhaustive, but it can get you started on the path to getting things done, and it can help you get away from the thought of giving up!\n\n1-Create, Review, and Execute a Success Plan\nIf you don’t make a plan, complete with goals, expected profits, expenses, and rewards… then how can you ever expect to commit to your venture without getting burned out? A lot of people decide that they want to succeed, but you would be amazed at how many actually fail to take this simple step before they get started! By drafting yourself a simple game plan, you can give yourself an accurate and somewhat realistic idea of what it will take to get you from point A to point B. \n\n2-Commit In Small Steps\nLooking at an entire project and ‘committing’ to it in your mind can often be overwhelming, even for people who are used to taking on great amounts of responsibility. But if you take that entire project and break it down into smaller portions, you will soon find that committing to those portions is usually much easier. Overcoming large problems is almost always best accomplished by breaking it down into smaller, more specific bite-sized steps. \n\n3-Commit to the End Goal… Not To How You Get Them Done\nYou need to remember to stay flexible as you build your business. If you get too ‘set in your ways’, you can end up getting buUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! 5 Ways to Have a ‘Winning’ Attitude
[[:encoded, "Today we are going to talk about 5 Ways to Have a ‘Winning’ Attitude.\n\nHaving a winning attitude is essential to being successful. Theodore Roosevelt once said ‘Believe YOU CAN and you are half way there’. A lot of times, we end up defeating ourselves before we begin by having a negative outlook on what is going on. We sometimes tend to look at opportunities and only see roadblocks, or see only a glass that is ‘half empty’ as opposed to ‘half full’. \n\nOne of the most interesting quotes that I have ever heard is what was once said by John F. Kennedy…\n\n“When written in Chinese, the word crisis is composed of two characters. \nOne represents danger, and the other represents opportunity.”\n\nHaving a ‘winning attitude’ is all about how we view the world around us. It can be very easy to only see problems when we face hard times and new challenges, and yet the most successful people in the world have always shown that outlook plays a huge part in how successful you are. \n\nSo, how can you have a winning attitude, even in the face of adversity? Well, we are talking about 5 tips that might point you in the right direction. Following these tips will get you well on your way to defeating that negative frame of mind that threatens to dampen your spirits and discourage you when times get tough. \n\n1. Think about your strong points\nA quick assessment of your strong points can often be enough to deter negative thoughts, especially if you allow yourself to be honest. As a successful professional, you have a WIDE range of qualities that you deserve to be proud of, and part of having a winning attitude is about focusing on your strong points as opposed to your weaknesses. \n\n\"Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. \nAttitude determines how well you do it.\"\n– Lou Holtz\n\n2. Give yourself daily pep talks\nSometimes, the strongest positive voice is your own! Take some time each day to look into the mirror and to give yourself a pep talk. Tell yourself that you can do anything that you set your mind to, and remind yourself not to give up. Some people have affirmations they say out loud every day and that makes a big difference for how they start and finish their day. It might sound a bit cheesy, but building confidence and a winning attitude is going to require you to BELIEVE in yourself… and one of the best ways to accomplish this is to speak it out loud!\n\n3. Listen to motivational speakers\nBelieve it or not, there arUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! 6 Ways to Stick to Your Goals and Be Even More Successful
[[:encoded, "Sticking to your goals is not always easy, especially if the next level of success is at stake. It can be very tempting to give up and stay where you are because the next level requires a lot more work… but this is not what you really want for yourself! Part of setting worthwhile goals and sticking to them is that this process allows you to grow as a person. If you give up and go back to the way you were before, then you are not going to have the peace of mind and confidence that comes from KNOWING that you can achieve your goals when you set your mind to it!\n\nMaybe your goals are business related, or maybe they are personal. Regardless of what they are, they MUST be important to you…so why give up on them? Life is what you make of it, and achieving goals is one way to shape your life on YOUR terms. Goals are something that nobody can take from you, which is why sticking to them is SO important!\n\n“To be successful in any sort of endeavor, you must have a definite goal. You must have definite plans for attaining this goal. Nothing is ever accomplished that is worthwhile without a definite plan of procedure that is systematically and continuously followed out day by day.” \n– Napoleon Hill\n\nSo, let’s explore the 6 tips for sticking to your goals. These tips are simple to understand, but they can help you with even the most complex goals that might be on your list! \n\n1… Find a Solution\nThe first key to sticking with your goals is to find a solution whenever a problem or an obstacle presents itself. It can be very tempting to give up when faced with obstacles, so what you NEED to remember is that obstacles are a part of life. You are never going to have a goal that does not lead you through some challenges before you see it through. Having the strength of mind that it takes to find a solution, regardless of how big the problem is, is exactly what you need if you want to stay focused and not give up. \n\n2… Anticipate Problems\nTry to think ahead to problems that could arise as you pursue your goals. Getting blindsided by a problem is always worse than dealing with a problem that you saw coming, which is why learning to anticipate is going to be very helpful if you want to avoid the discouragement that comes from being pelted with problems that appeared out of nowhere. Learn to look ahead and plan for potential growing pains that may or may not come your way. \n\n3… Learn from Mistakes and Failures\nWhen you encounter setbacks, failures, or mistakeUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! 4 Steps to Manifesting Your Desire to Get Things Done
[[:encoded, "If you have ever heard of manifesting, then you probably know, at least in part, where this conversation is headed… but for those of you who might not be as familiar with the concept, I will take a moment to explain. \n\nManifestation is basically the belief that if you visualize and believe something enough, it will come to pass. There are a lot of varying beliefs about manifestation, and many people claim that it works in many different ways. Some believe that it is an almost spiritual, mystical phenomenon, while others tend to believe that any basis for it being true lies within the human mind. More people probably believe that if you believe in something enough, you will not be inhibited as you strive to achieve it… which is what actually ends up winning in the end. \n\nFor the sake of this conversation, we are going to approach manifestation from a position of pure logic. Logically, you ARE able to manifest things by visualizing and believing in them. This will enable you to break down self-imposed barriers and to give yourself the freedom that you need to pursue your goals without inhibitions. Once you acquire the ability to ‘live’ your success before it is physically in place, you will have realized what it truly means to ‘manifest’ the next level of success for yourself. \n\nGetting things done through manifestation\nIf you are one of those self-made entrepreneurs who, ironically, suffers from an inability to focus on day to day tasks, then you know EXACTLY what it feels like to WISH that you could get a lot done during the day. There are plenty of hours, but you probably feel like concentrating long enough to get most of your work done is almost impossible. This might get you down, cause you problems, and end up derailing your attempts to further yourself beyond your current level of success. So, can manifestation help a problem like this?\n\nActually, it can. \n\nManifesting your desire to get more done is actually VERY doable… you just have to go through the process from beginning to end. I’m going to outline the steps for using manifestation to get more accomplished at work. \n\n1…Take stock of what you need to accomplish\nTake a second to really think about everything that you have to do. Think about the challenges, and think about how easy it could be if you could just focus more. Think about how much more successful you will be if you could really commit yourself to getting a consistent amount of work done each day. \n\n2… Visualize yourUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! 5 Keys to Being an Effective Delegator
[[:encoded, "Delegation is one of the many keys to success, but it is, surprisingly, one of the weakest points for many leaders. Believe it or not, there are A LOT of leaders in small business who do not know how to delegate effectively. There can be a number of reasons for having difficulty in the delegation department, most of them related to the inability of the leader to relinquish control. A lot of leaders want to be in control of everything, but don’t realize that this mentality can sap time and energy that could better be spent moving them to the next level of success. \n\nIf a leader fails to realize this, then they could very well use up all of their valuable time performing tasks that COULD be done by someone else. Since they are using their time on these things, the leader will usually suffer from an inability to grow, and will often feel pressured. They can also feel like nobody understands what is wanted or needed, and can begin to feel very alone in a professional sense. \n\n“Surround yourself with the best people you can find, delegate authority, and don't interfere as long as the policy you've decided upon is being carried out.” -Ronald Reagan\n\nKey #1… Understand What It Means To Delegate\nDelegating a job to someone underneath you is not always easy, especially at first… but it is an essential part of growth, and you will likely find that you will be unable to move forward with any kind of speed if you do not have what it takes to turn a project over to someone else. Having said this, it is important that you do not simply delegate to delegate. This decision must be made with great care and professionalism. \n\nDelegating to the wrong person could be a catastrophe! However, if you do have the option to hand the project to someone below you who is capable of seeing it through to the end, then you will have the opportunity to TRULY realize how much power there is in the ability to pass things off to trusted employees or colleagues. This is what delegation is. You are giving something very important to someone who you trust, so that they can finish it for you. It is really that simple. You need to be able to communicate the needs of the project, as well as your need to be informed when certain milestones are reached. \n\nDelegation, if executed correctly, can free you up to do the things that you have to do. Being able to step away from projects that could hold you back is a huge bonus! 5 Ways to Be Even More Productive
[[:encoded, "We can always be even more productive. Time is a very valuable resource, and if you really think about it, being productive is one of the best ways to ensure that you are using your time effectively. As a successful business owner, you no doubt realize just how important productivity is. You have likely done a great deal to ensure that your employees follow procedures that are designed to make them more productive. You have also doubtlessly mastered the ability to keep working and getting things done, even when you are in danger of being distracted or losing focus. \n\nBut what about those days when it seems like you just can’t focus on anything? How can you stay productive when your usual strength of mind just doesn’t seem to cut it? In this article, we are going to talk about 5 ways to be more productive. These methods can be used at any time to help you to keep your work output high so that you can move towards the next level with no setbacks and minimal frustration. \n\n“At the end of each day you should play back the tapes of your performance.\nThe results should either applaud you or prod you.”\n--Jim Rohn\n\n1… Keep Your Work Area Free Of Clutter\nBelieve it or not, clutter can definitely kill your workday. Having needless piles of paperwork or supplies covering your workspace will not only be problematic as you try to get things accomplished, but it can also psychologically cause your brain to wane in the productivity department. Finding a way to keep your desk cleaned and organized will keep you ahead of the game when the time comes to get to work…especially if you are working for yourself and need to be a self-starter. \n\n2… Plan When You Will Make Your High Payoff Phone Calls\nMaking phone calls can eat up time, especially if you start dialing and leaving messages. Besides, you never know what might come up on short notice that could interrupt you. If you are trying to get two things done already, plus being available to subordinates, PLUS trying to make phone calls, you will likely not be able to give ANY of the tasks the kind of attention that they deserve. In order to maximize your efforts, consider scheduling phone calls for a particular time. Pick a time when you will have the highest probability to achieve the desired results and not be distracted with other things. Sometimes making calls first thing in the morning can be the best time to get good results. \n\n3… Skip Some Meetings\n\n\"Meetings are a waste of time unless you are cloUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! The Value of Being Consistent
[[:encoded, "There is nothing stopping you from changing directions or tracks and doing something the polar opposite of what you are previously doing. As an entrepreneur, you have absolute authority and control over your actions and decisions. No one is going to stop you from doing what you like. You can choose to destroy the business which you have built from scratch. People would mind but they cannot stop you from doing so. Whatever you choose to do, make sure you are consistent with your behavior. \n\nThe Importance of Being Consistent\nWhen you set goals for yourself, you keep your abilities and capacity to perform in mind. You know that if you performed optimally for the near future, you would be able to meet those goals. Hence, you have to be consistent with your performance to achieve the goals you set for your business. If you perform below your capacity or don’t make use of your abilities, your business would suffer. Simply speaking, you have to be consistent to achieve your goals and fulfill what is truly important to you in life. \n\nIn the same way, you have to be consistent with your decisions and actions. For instance, if you give an employee a slap on the wrist for an infraction, you would have the same in the future if any other employee committed the same offense. Handing out a punishment greater or lesser than the one you gave the previous employee would demoralize one of the two (depending on the punishment). \n\nAs you can see, consistency is important for any successful business person. Consistency helps you maintain a sense of stability in what you do. This rubs off on your business and you can take it towards a level where it becomes stable as well. There are some other ways in which consistency could be the key to your success. \n\nContradictions Are Roadblocks\nIf you are consistent, you will achieve what you set out to achieve. Only extremely bad luck can stop you from attaining the success you envisaged. However, inconsistency of behavior could be the stumbling block which you fall over and all your ambitions of taking your business to the next level crumble to pieces. You need to have perfect symmetry between your thoughts, actions and decisions. For an entrepreneur, being consistent is perhaps one of the most important factors to achieve success. \n\nOn the other hand, contradictions between your words and actions lead to chaos in your personal and professional life. You won’t be able to concentrate on the business. Rather, your mind woUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! 4 Commitments That Can Impact Your Success
[[:encoded, "Have you ever made a commitment to yourself or someone and for whatever reason, didn’t follow through? \n\nThere are numerous definitions for the word “commitment.” The most basic definition is that of an “act of voluntarily taking on and fulfilling obligations.” This is actually further specified as a “personal” commitment, as opposed to a professional or organizational commitment. The voluntary nature of personal commitment is what makes it so personal. However, this does not mean that a commitment has to relate only to personal interests, such as human relationships or core beliefs. Any objective can be approached with a personal commitment, a voluntary taking on of all obligations. A commitment can be given to any number of projects and causes, including an organization, a team, a faith group, or to another person. \n\nWhat Does Commitment Mean to You?\n\nMany successful people in business and life have commented that commitment is a very important factor in individual success. This is usually because the individual is the one that must spearhead his or her own cause for a period of time, at least until others can join in the cause. In order for any venture to be successful, action must first be taken, and commitment is what incites people to action. Commitment involves not only pledging one’s self to a purpose, but also practicing this system of belief on a regular basis. Defining commitment as persistence alone would be inaccurate; it is persistence with a purpose or goal, and built upon a foundation of logic that is closely linked with a person (or group’s) core beliefs.\n\nSome of the most successful businesspersons in modern times, as well and throughout history, are people that have been described as “committed” to their career or cause. They are usually not people of exceptional genius, nor have they built an empire based on dumb luck. They are individuals that have held firmly to a set of commitments and seen these commitments through. One could even say that these commitments, though largely professional, have been religiously followed through. Religious devotion is a powerful thing, as it can bring a man willingly to his deathbed, perhaps even giving him a state of calm and esoteric happiness. This same devotion, this commitment, is applicable to any field. It all depends on how passionate and committed the individual is to making the project work.\n\nMany great minds in contemporary society are more than willing to sharUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! Are Limiting Beliefs Impacting Your Success?
[[:encoded, "Limiting beliefs refers to a belief system that is self-inhibiting. This system discourages exploration of what we understand as a “wider cognitive space.” The beliefs created and perpetuated in this type of system are strongly held, often due to heavy emotional attachment. (For example, a parent’s faith passed onto a new generation.) Interestingly, self-limiting beliefs have been observed in both human beings and animals. Of what importance, though, is the idea of “limited beliefs” to you? \n\nThe first question is where limiting beliefs come from. A person’s upbringing and parental stability is an important factor in determining origins of belief. However, other factors such as a person’s own self-image, and their personal perceptions of the world (based on experience and learning) also contribute. Consider some examples of self-limiting beliefs. As you read over them, you will find that these beliefs are not so scientific at all, but very relatable statements that you might hear from friends and acquaintances. (Perhaps even from your own mouth.)\n\n•\t“This is my destiny. I cannot escape it.”\n•\t“I have to do this, because no one else can.”\n•\t“It’s just what people expect of me.”\n•\t“I’m just like my father and I can’t change that.”\n•\t“If I tell someone the truth, they will take their business elsewhere.”\n•\t“I’ve always gotten this result so anything else is unrealistic.” \n\nAll of these statements allude to limiting beliefs that assign specific qualities to the person that cannot be escaped or changed. These qualities could be capabilities, roles, or traits. The person may feel burdened to continue their path (however dangerous or miserable) because of a need to follow this limiting belief. The truth of the matter is that the person is choosing their own path and they cannot fathom having to stop the cycle and think outside this predetermined life.\n\n•\t“I can’t do it. I know I can’t.”\n•\t“There’s no point in even trying.”\n\nThese statements are alluding to limiting beliefs, in which the person decides he or she cannot succeed, and so there is no point in trying. This is not so much a quality of overall cynicism or pessimism; rather, a lack of self-confidence that doesn’t allow the person to broaden their horizons or think of a scenario that involves their success for a change. Does the person’s argument have validity, in that he or she claims under-qualification for a task at hand? In some cases this could be true. How to Get Motivated When You’re Feeling Uninspired
[[:encoded, "We all have those days when we just don’t feel like doing the work associated with achieving our goals, so the question is: How do you get motivated when you’re feeling uninspired?\n\nIt’s as simple as finding the motivating factor - the thing that will inspire you to take the next step.\n\nBut what if the thing that normally motivates you isn’t working today – right now when you need it? How do you get motivated and inspired to do what you need to do?\n\nFind a new motivator.\n\nFirst, identify your usual motivating factor by clarifying what normally leads you to action: The pleasure of achieving the desired end result or the pain of avoiding an unwanted result.\n\nIn other words, every decision you make is based on the positive attraction to the pleasure of the benefits (pleasure) or in the negative avoidance of the pain of the penalties (pain). \n\nWhen you find the dominant motivator (pleasure or pain) all you have to do is leverage it to inspire you to take action.\n\nFor instance, some days you may be motivated by pleasure, other days it might be by pain. Pay attention to the days you feel especially inspired to get motivated. Are those days when you feel most inspired driven predominantly by pleasure of the doing or pain of not doing? (This is your usual motivating factor.)\n\nTip: Log your personal motivators in a journal or notebook to identify your personal motivators and patterns to help you better manage your actions and goal achievement.\n\nWhen you discover your personal motivator factor, you know what to switch up on the days when you feel uninspired. \n\nIf you’re feeling uninspired, start by asking yourself these questions:\n\nWhat are the Results If I Do The Work?\nThis is the pleasure motivator…when you’re motivated to do the work because of the benefits it brings.\n\nIf you’re feeling uninspired, this is the first question to ask yourself. You may not feel like going to the gym, but the benefits of doing the work inspires you to take the action you need in order to achieve the end results.\n\nAsk yourself:\nWhat are the end results when I do the work?\n\nKeep going:\nAre the end results, regardless of the work that has to be done at this moment, enough to motivate me? Is my desire for the end results deep enough to get me to do what I need to do now to achieve a future goal?\n\nIf you’re inspired to do the work, you’ve found your motivating factor. 5 Ideas to Reduce the Biggest Time Wasters
[[:encoded, "Have you ever thought to yourself: “If only I had more time?” \n\nYou can do anything you set your mind to—even the things that that you think you don’t have time for! \n\nHow is this possible? By scheduling time for what’s important as well as what is fun. Of course, along with this schedule, you have to take certain steps to eliminate time wasters. What are time wasters? Time wasters can be anything, from an inanimate object to a full living and breathing person. It is important that you first learn how to identify a time waster and then learn how to stop this person, place, or thing from distracting you. Let’s start by listing some of the most common time wasters. \n\n1. There’s no question that computers and a high-speed Internet connection can provide many valuable services to you. However, these tools are among the worst time wasters in existence. Some companies have actually banned Internet usage during working hours. If banning the Internet is not an option for you, then at least make it a rule that you will not open any computer programs that are not directly related to your work. If you catch your hand slowly approaching your mouse with the intent to surf, catch yourself and get back to work. This fasting from interactive entertainment also includes avoiding blogs, email, and instant messaging services. What can you do about important emails? If you have a problem with time-consuming emails then you might consider creating a separate email account for all your professional contacts. That way, you won’t be distracted by any forwarded messages or alerts from friends. Even better, ask your friends to not include you in the personal emails they like to send to other friends. You may even choose to only check email one or two times during the day, and for a specific period of time – one time not being the first thing in the morning when you arrive at work. \n\n2. Interruptions from phones, team members, or pop-in visitors can be very distracting. Human beings have a natural inclination to sit around and chat. There’s certainly nothing wrong with this pastime, and there is no need to be rude with your peers, associates, friends, and neighbors. However, you do need to set some rules down and inform everyone who adores your company that during certain working hours you are unavailable. This applies to team members also. You create set meeting times when others can meet with you.\n\n3. 3 Steps to Achieving Your Goals Sooner Rather than Later
[[:encoded, "It’s so easy to set goals in life. How many people actually take the time to set specific life goals? Not many of us, is my guess. You want to make more money. You want to enjoy more productive relationships with friends and acquaintances. You want to make a difference in the lives of others. You want more responsibility in your career. Unfortunately, while all these goals are admirable, they are also very broad. Most people fantasize about being rich, famous, and well liked. However, these are not necessarily goals. These are common images of success that the media wants us to believe in. Human beings are programmed by books, television, movies and Internet to believe in someone else’s values. After all, did you ever want to be Bill Gates before you knew he was filthy rich? Better yet, did you ever want to be filthy rich before you knew that money could buy you luxurious accommodations, fun new gadgets, and exclusive world travel?\n\nStep 1: Know the Difference between Dreaming and Doing\n\nWhen a person claims that making a lot of money is his or her “goal”, they are not truly seeing the future. A person who is “destined” for success, programs their own mind to achieve something remarkable but feasible. A person that is motivated to achieve a goal does not think in terms of failure and winning. (As in, I failed at becoming a millionaire. So, it’s not meant to be.) Rather, this person follows a set path towards their final destination. To the successful person, succeeding in life is a daily responsibility, one full of setbacks and solutions. The successful person doesn’t merely think in terms of “becoming rich” overnight. They study the path towards financial freedom, as handed down by others, and create a feasible and specific plan to increase their profit through the years. They learn about their chosen industry. They learn about office relationships and business strategies. They learn about investing and wealth building over time. Making money is not just a fleeting thought or a wild idea that must be tried at least once—it is their continuing journey for success. \n\nSimilarly, a determined person who wants to become an actor or actress will take steps towards this ultimate goal. They will study the craft and attend auditions on a regular basis. Furthermore, they will study the history of show business and model their own career after the careers of successful actors and actresses. Support Team Performance Assessment – SAMPLE
[[:encoded, "Many simple and effective resources get created when I'm coaching my one-on-one clients. An issue or situation comes up and I create a resource tool to help them get an even better result. In today's example, my business owner coaching client wanted to better hold his support team accountable, so I created a performance assessment tool. This enhances regular communication with each team member about their specific performance of what they are responsible for. 5 Questions to Ask When You’re Not Motivated Toward Goals
[[:encoded, "Even the most motivated of achievers can sometimes feel unmotivated. So, what do you do in those crucial moments of inner negotiation - do I commit to two steps forward or relent to two steps backwards - and how do you justify your decision? \n\nWhat if not being motivated to achieve your goals is a sign of a deeper, unresolved issue? Here are five questions to uncover the possible reasons you’re not motivated to achieve your goals:\n\n1. Do I Really Want This?\nBefore you start discounting yourself as being weak or a failure, ask yourself if you really want this. Do you really want the end result? Do you want it bad enough to do whatever it takes to achieve it? If the answer is no to either question, it’s pretty obvious why you may not be motivated to doing the work the goal requires to actually achieve it.\n\nAchieving your goals doesn’t necessarily have to be hard, but it can be challenging for any number of reasons. If you don’t have enough fire, passion, and desire to achieve a goal, the process is likely going to be a lot harder than it has to be.\n\nTip: Stick to goals that you want bad enough that the decision to do what you need to do, in order to achieve it, is easy. \n\n2. If I Don’t Want This, What Do I Want?\nIf you’ve asked yourself, do I really want this? and “no” was the answer - there’s only one remaining question to ask:\n\nIf I don’t want this, what do I really want?\n\nThe answer may require some soul searching or big dreaming; just be sure it’s something that has enough desire to pull you through the “work” of achieving the goal.\n\nTip: Committing to goals you don’t really want serves little purpose. Instead, craft goals you desire with your heart, guts, and soul - those goals that inspire you to do the work required. These types of goals will get you excited and motivate you to achieving them.\n\n3. What’s My Big Why?\nIn the middle of doing the “work” of goal achievement, it’s easy to lose sight of why you’re doing it. When you find you’re not motivated to keep going, focus on the emotional reason behind why you made the initial commitment. So ask yourself:\n\n•\tWho/what inspired me to make the initial commitment to this goal?\n•\tIs my reasoning behind the commitment (my big why) still a high priority - a high enough priority to continue my commitment to doing whatever it takes – and nothing less?\n\nIf the answer is yes, connect to your big why. It’s as easy as reminding yourself of the emotion that prompted your initial comUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! Tips for Effective Multi-Tasking for Business Professionals
[[:encoded, "Multi-tasking can sometimes have a bad rap. It has been said that multi-tasking in any form is something you should never do, but as an entrepreneur, it’s almost a daily necessity. There are simply not enough hours in the day for you to afford “playing it by ear.” Your life and profession are under constant reprioritization, that’s the nature of being an entrepreneur. Don’t be intimidated by the rumors; multi-tasking can be an effective way to handle your workload. We are going to talk about several tips for effective multi-tasking. \n\nTraits of Effective Multi-tasking \n•\tGroup like tasks together\n•\tCreate a to-do list\n•\tDefined goals with the end result \n•\tBudgeted time/schedule \n•\tRemove distractions\n•\tUndivided attention and focus\n\nEffective multi-tasking for entrepreneurs is all about having a system in place to handle tasks with the greatest efficiency. First, you need to create a To-Do List or Master Task List; this will help you to see the big picture of the day’s duties and help keep you on track throughout the day. The goal is for the To-Do List to help you prioritize the “must do” tasks and complete them before the deadline. \n\nThat brings me to my next point, multi-tasking for professional and personal tasks should be handled in the same manner for entrepreneurs, because time is always of the essence. It is about being the most efficient and productive, 24/7, because your profit, or lack thereof, is always directly affected by your personal time. \n\nOne of the best tips for effective multi-tasking is to set a deadline for when these tasks need to get done. Being reminded of the goal that you are working toward will help motivate you to work with the greatest efficiency and within your deadline. Whether the motivation comes from money, the excitement of achieving a goal or the benefits of the end results, it makes no difference, as long as it motivates you to work with the greatest focus. \n\nIneffective Multi-tasking behaviors and traits include:\n•\tCombining irrelevant tasks together\n•\tUndefined goals\n•\tSetting an indefinite deadline\n•\tWorking with distractions\n•\tContinually switching gears without accomplishing anything\n•\tLack of focus \n\nThere’s a huge difference between effective multi-tasking and cramming unrelated tasks together. You’ve already learned what it takes for effective multi-tasking, now let’s take a look at what ineffective multi-tasking looks like. \n\nOne of the most common mistakUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! 7 Tips to Help You Find Meaning in Your Work
[[:encoded, "Feel like something is missing in your career? You’re not alone. It’s not uncommon for professionals to feel like something is missing in their work, even when things appear to be really good. Is it possible to find success and meaning? Use these 7 tips to help you find meaning in your work / career.\n\n1. Choose a New Career Path or Expand Your Firm\nMaybe it’s time to try something new? You may be an adventure-type and find boredom in routine and monotony. Try a new career path that engages your interests to reignite your passions. It may not require a complete life change; perhaps you could choose a new track or specialty within your current industry or expand the products and services of your firm.\n\n2. Turn Your Passions into Profits\nIf finding meaning in your work is high on your priority list, then turning your passions into profits is a sure way to find it. Now more than ever overwhelmed entrepreneurs are scrapping profit for passion and making a business out of doing what they love. If you’ve got a passion, there’s typically a way to monetize it.\n\n3. Explore New Hobbies\nIt’s not uncommon to have to wade through a bit of fog and uncertainty before you find a passion strong enough to build a career or business upon. If this is you, explore new hobbies in your personal time, before committing to them long-term. Try the things that peak your curiosity – even try things that you may not have previously considered – until you find something that keeps your interests and passions peaked.\n\n4. Necessity vs. Meaning\nWe’ve all been there….we feel trapped in a career or business because it provides necessity, in some form or another. Whether it’s the paycheck or retirement fund – security is part of what we’re after. The problem comes when insecurity prevents us from finding meaning or fulfillment. Even worse, it could be stopping us from reaching our greatest potential. Don’t let the fear and discomfort of change stop you from going for it!\n\n5. What’s Really Important?\nIf there is some aspect of your work that is causing disharmony or struggle, it’s worth examining what’s really important. At the heart of disharmony is the fact that some aspect of your life or career is not in alignment with who you really are and what you really want (your core values). Ask yourself this question: What are you being forced to give up in order to gain something else (and is it really giving up something that is serving you anyway – probably not)? 3 Steps to Discover Why You May Be Sabotaging Your Success
[[:encoded, "Today we are going to talk about What’s Really Behind the Overwhelm? 3 Steps to Discovering Why You May Be Sabotaging Your Success.\n\nBusiness owners are especially prone to overwhelm because it’s not uncommon for them to juggle multiple aspects of their business at any one time. But how much of what you think you need to handle do you actually need to handle? \n\nWhat if overwhelm is actually part of your self-sabotaging behavior being played out?\n\nOverwhelm is not a necessary evil of being an entrepreneur - it’s a symptom of an underlying issue. In three easy steps, you can find out if self-sabotaging behavior is creating unnecessary overwhelm in your business and life.\n\nStep #1: Consider the Why\nWhen you understand why you do anything, you discover why you do everything. From understanding the “why,” it’s possible to see the patterns of self-sabotaging behavior being played out in your everyday life. (Yes, creating overwhelm is one of those self-sabotaging behaviors.)\n\nIf you frequently or consistently struggle with overwhelm, there may be a self-sabotaging behavior behind it. The trick is to identify the “why” behind the self-sabotage. Common reasons for overwhelm may include:\n\n- Behavior based in limiting beliefs\n- Fear of failure/success\n- Lack of focus/discipline\n- Avoidance/procrastination\n- Lack of interest/inspiration/motivation\n- Refusal to give up total control/delegate\n\nThere is a “why” behind everything you do - or don’t do. The question is are you engaging in behavior being driven by limiting beliefs that lead to self-sabotage or empowering beliefs that lead to success? It’s pretty simple: if you’re not producing results you want, you can bet there are self-sabotaging behaviors being played out in your personal or professional life.\n\nFirst, let’s establish that everyone has self-sabotaging behaviors - even peak performers like professional athletes and Olympic competitors (which is why they hire professional coaches!). These specialized coaches help them identify (and shift) the behaviors that keep them from achieving optimal performance. \n\nWhen you know the self-sabotaging behaviors that are keeping you from achieving the best results, you know which behaviors must change in order to create even better results. It’s fairly easy to know what you should be doing…it’s not always so easy to discipline yourself to do those things. However, if you can identify self-sabotaging behaviors and discipline yourself to change tUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! How to Make the Right Choice in 3 Simple Steps
[[:encoded, "Today we are going to talk about How to Make the Right Choice in 3 Simple Steps.\n\nYou’ve been making choices every day since you were a child, yet sometimes it can feel like you are the most inexperienced decision-maker in the world. You feel uncertain about which choice to make and how your decision will ultimately affect your life. When faced with a decision that could alter the course of your life, how do you make the right choice?\n\nThe first step in any choice is to determine where you want to be. Getting clear on your goals will help you make choices that are in line with your vision. Once you get clear on your goals, it can be much easier to see how the results of your choices will lead you either closer to your goals – or further away.\n\nHere’s how you can learn to make the right choice in three simple steps.\n\nStep 1: Write Your List of Long-Term Goals\n\nYou may have a lot of long-term goals, but for now, just start with the ten most important to you. Once you have had time to focus on this short list, feel free to expand it to include ALL of your long-term goals. \n\nHere’s an example:\n\nMy Long-Term Goals\n1.\tHave $7,500 saved to take two vacations per year (starting 2014) to exotic places by 6/1/14.\n2.\tBuy new house with 15% down payment $90,000 by 10/1/2015\n3.\tPay off mortgage ($_______) by 12/31/2030 \n4.\t$5.2 million saved for retirement/financial future by 12/31/2021\n5.\tRetire by age 54: 2/23/2022\n6.\tSell house by 9/30/2015 \n7.\tDonate 5% of net income each year to charitable organizations that have personal meaning (Susan G. Komen Foundation and Habitat for Humanity) starting 1/1/2015\n8.\tComplete a full Ironman Triathlon in under 17 hours - 10/31/2016\n9.\tPlay golf 2 times per month starting 4/1/2013 \n10.\tImprove health and fitness-lose 25 pounds, and be at180 lbs by 7/1/2014\t\t\n11.\tRead fun books 1 per quarter starting 1/1/2013\n12.\tGet 1 massage per month starting 1/1/2014\t\n13.\tContinue to have date night with my significant other 2 times per month starting 1/15/13\n\nMy Long-Term Goals\n1.\t\n2.\t\n3.\t\n4.\t\n5.\t\n\nNow that you have identified your long-term goals, you can identify your short-term goals. Don’t over-analyze or critique your answers, just go with what you really want now, today, tomorrow, this week, within one month, or in the near future. \n\nStep 2: Write Your List of Short-Term Goals\n\nHere’s an example:\n\nMy Short-Term Goals (Must be measurable, specific and include speciUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! Referral/Prospect Tracking Spreadsheet - Free SAMPLE
[[:encoded, "Today we are going to talk about the Referral/Prospect Tracking Spreadsheet – SAMPLE – Free Download.\n\nIn my work with business professionals over the many years I have been coaching, I find that they often say to me that they have prospects that they haven’t followed up with (for whatever reason), or they lost track of some of the referrals people gave them. First of all, it’s hard to believe that someone wouldn’t have a process for tracking their referrals/prospects because that is potential revenue – but apparently this happens and probably more than it should. So, I came up with a simple tracking spreadsheet to help my clients better know who they have in their pool of prospects, in order for them to know where their prospective clients are at in their pipeline, and they don’t lose anyone (or drown them) on the way.\n\nDid you know that according to the National Sales Executive Associates, they say that: \n•\t48% of Sales People Never follow up with a Prospect\n•\t25% of Sales People Make a Second Contact and Stop\n•\t12% of Sales People Only Make Three Contacts and Stop\n•\tOnly 10% of Sales People Make More Than Three Contacts\n•\t2% of Sales are made on the First Contact\n•\t3% of Sales are made on the Second Contact\n•\t5% of Sales are made on the Third Contact\n•\t10% of Sales are made on the Fourth Contact\n•\t80% of Sales are made on the fifth to the Twelfth Contact\n\nWhat does that say to me? Being professionally persistent, brings in REVENUE.\n\nTo download my complimentary referral tracking spreadsheet to help you increase your revenue, so you can accelerate your results, go to https://www.accountabilitycoach.com/referral-tracking-workbook/. 8 Ideas to Help You Work Smarter and Not Harder
[[:encoded, "Today we are going to talk about 8 Ideas to Help You Work Smarter and Not Harder.\n\nDo you think working harder will get you farther? Not necessarily. In this fast-paced society, many professionals are already running at full tilt, so going faster may lead to burn-out, or worse, complete physical and emotional shutdown. So how do you get more done without working harder? This is key to work life balance success. Let’s take a look at these 8 ideas for working smarter, not harder.\n\n1. Leverage Your Strengths, Delegate the Rest\nFor optimal results, focus on the tasks that leverage your strengths. The goal with any successful business or project is to assign the team member that can deliver the best results with the least effort and greatest effectiveness. If you want to make an easier go at it, know your strengths and focus on performing only the tasks that leverage those strengths.\n\nTIP: To download a Free Delegation List Sample to help you identify more activities to delegate, go to https://www.accountabilitycoach.com/delegation-list-sample/. \n\n2. Filter Your Info Intake\nOn any given day, you are bombarded with mass amounts of information that can significantly drag down your productivity and cause confusion, overwhelm, and procrastination. Data is essential for making informed decisions, but beware of information overload. Only take in the information that is vital to achieving your goals and the goals of your firm – everything else is superfluous.\n\nTIP: Delegate the biggest information sources (email, research, data collection, data entry, etc.) to a team member or a consulting firm. Limit your information exposure to only the pertinent sources, while the team takes on the responsibility of flagging important information for your select review and firm growth.\n\n3. Streamline Your Daily Duties\nDo not try to do it all yourself. The ability to focus your energy on the most important tasks of the day has a direct effect on the quality of the results. Therefore, it’s vital that you streamline your daily duties to only the most important tasks that require your focused attention, and those things that only you can do and can’t be done by someone else. \n\nTIP: Create a daily schedule of the most important and highest payoff tasks of the day – and stick to it (not always easy but critical to your success). Reduce and eliminate the non-essential duties (the tasks that are either not in alignment with your core values and/or are not income-generaUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! 5 Tips for Exploring Your Life Purpose
[[:encoded, "Today we are going to talk about 5 Tips for Exploring Your Life Purpose.\n\nIf you’ve ever wondered if there was more to life than what you’re currently experiencing, you’ll find this discussion helpful. First, let’s clarify that identifying your life purpose isn’t the end all - you still have find a way to integrate it into a life, that for most of us, has been built on necessity or security. Yes, we all have bills to pay; but selling your soul (so to speak) in the name of security isn’t necessarily the way it has to be.\n\nI’m all for fueling your passions, but I’m also a firm believer in smart and strategic business decisions. My advice is to take this process slowly. If you love what you do, find a way to work your life purpose into your career or business. If you don’t love what you do, then explore other avenues that support a solid business foundation and purpose.\n\nThese 5 tips will help you explore your life purpose and find more meaning in your life as well as your profession.\n\n1. What Fuels You?\nWhat in your life gives you energy? Most of us know what it feels like to be drained (by personal dramas, professional conflicts, too many obligations, financial stress, etc.), but do you know what fuels you? Perhaps you already know you just don’t have time for it. Pay attention to the things that give you life as they are clues to what you really love to do (and you may be able to monetize them).\n\n2. Play the What-If Game\nThe “What-if” Game is where you ask a series of questions starting with “What if?” \n\nWhat-if I didn’t have to work - how would I choose to spend my time?\nWhat-if I could make money any way I wanted - what would that look like?\nWhat-if I didn’t have to ________________ - what would I want to do?\nWhat-if I could live anywhere in the world - where would I live?\nWhat-if I followed my dreams…what would that look like?\nWhat-if I went back to school - what would I like to study?\nWhat-if I created a new program and/or service, what would it look like?\nWhat-if I had a board of Ideal Clients for my firm, what impact would they have on my business and life?\n\nYou get the idea….\n\nWhat is really important to you in life? 4 Sabotaging Habits that Prevent You from Boosting Revenue
[[:encoded, "As a business owner, it’s important to recognize how valuable your time is - and how you choose to spend it.\n\nYes, the bookkeeping is important, and so is voice-mail and email, but those tasks are not directly responsible for generating revenue, and are better left to be managed by someone else.\n\nAre you guilty of focusing on the less important (low-payoff) tasks when you should be actively engaged with the most important (high-payoff) tasks? If you have ever been guilty of this, continue listening to discover four common self-sabotaging habits that keep business owners from the revenue and success they want and deserve.\n\n1. Wasting Time on Low-Payoff Tasks\nAs the business owner, you are a valuable piece of the revenue-generating and business development puzzle. If you are sitting at a desk spending the majority of your time on low-payoff tasks, you don’t have the time to focus upon the most important part of your business: generating revenue.\n\nWould you hire a $100-an-hour team member to do a $20-an-hour task? Not likely. This is the same reasoning behind why you shouldn’t be the company bookkeeper or receptionist. (This is not to say that these tasks are not important, but they are not directly related to driving immediate revenue; hence, they are low-payoff tasks).\n\nYour sole focus should be upon the high-payoff tasks, aka. the revenue-generating tasks. All low-payoff tasks should be completely removed from your schedule and delegated to a virtual assistant or team member so you can focus your energy on the high-payoff tasks.\n\nTIP: Doing low payoff activities are what I call revenue generating avoidance activities. You may not like doing some revenue generation and business development activities, but you may be the best and maybe the only person to do it and get it done. \n\n2. Ignoring High-Payoff Tasks\nDo you know what you need to be doing to boost revenue - but you’re not doing it or doing it on a consistent basis? Perhaps the fear of doing tasks outside your comfort zone is stopping you from doing the very thing that will make all the difference in your business revenue and ultimate success? \n\nLet’s be clear: if you own your own business, you must become very astute at recognizing, and completing, the high-payoff tasks or you will soon be out of business.\n\nLet’s say you’re the creative genius type; the sales part of your business isn’t your thing. You could hire a sales team to help drive in some sales, but at some point you’Unlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! 6 Ways Negative Client Feedback Makes Your Business Better
[[:encoded, "There’s no doubt about it, handling negative client feedback can be downright uncomfortable. No one likes to listen to complaints and no one wants to be criticized or rejected by anyone; even by a client. We’re human; it stings when we fall short of a goal or when we don’t receive the approval we crave.\n\nBut what if you could get past the discomfort of negative client feedback to discover the benefits that will make your business even better? \n\nOkay, let’s get to the 6 Ways Negative Client Feedback Makes Your Business Better…\n\nWay #1. It Shows You’re Committed to Your Clients\nDealing with less than glowing client feedback, head on and objectively, shows you are committed to ensuring your clients have a positive experience. It’s this commitment to serve them to the best of your ability that attracts more clients. When you’re committed to your clients, they’re committed to your business.\n\nWay #2. It’s Not Personal; It’s Perception\nInstead of getting defensive about what went wrong in the client experience, you learn that it doesn’t have anything to do with you. Negative client feedback isn’t a reflection of how you failed or fell short; rather it’s a reflection on the client’s perception of the experience. Client perception is everything. When you can identify the breakdown in the process that changed the client’s perception from positive to negative, you just identified the kink in the system. Remove the kink, improve the system, change the perception.\n\nWay #3. Find Out What They Want\nWhen a client offers feedback (negative or positive) it’s a prime opportunity to learn what they really want. When Ideal Clients offer less than favorable feedback, identify what they really want - and deliver it. One word of caution: don’t go changing effective policy to please just one. The goal here is to pay attention to the feedback you receive from Ideal Clients - because they are your target market. Receive all feedback with an open mind, keeping in mind that your goal is to serve Ideal Clients to the best of your ability.\n\nWay #4. Brainstorm Creative Solutions\nClient feedback also allows a “springboard” from which creative solutions can be brainstormed. Don’t be afraid to be innovative and forward-thinking. If an Ideal Client is seeking a service or product that you’re not currently offering (and it will attract more Ideal Clients) - how can you implement it? Just because it hasn’t been done before doesn’t mean there isn’t a way to effectively do itUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today!
