3 Important Aspects of Time Blocking Your Calendar
[[:encoded, "Originally thought to have been popularized by a man named Cal Newport, time blocking is simply the practice of holding space in each day for your top priorities, and then filling in the gaps around those time blocks with other important tasks or events until your days are filled.\n\nWhile how this plays out is likely different for everyone, the principle of carving out time to do the activities you need to do and achieve your goals. How do you intent to spend your time is what matters. \n\nIf the end goal of time blocking is increased productivity and decreased stress, then developing a commitment to living life (or at least carrying out your workday) in a structured series of segments is well worth the potential gains. If you are interested in learning to effectively time block your days, be sure to take the following 3 aspects of effective time management into consideration:\n\n1. Identify recurring tasks or events and streamline those in your calendar\n\nWhen you are able to identify recurring events inside of your calendar, you are well on the way to saving time and making your life a whole lot more organized. The truth is, much of our daily life is cyclical and repetitive – we get up at the same time each day, we visit the same places each week, we speak with the same clients each month; the list goes on and on. Setting up recurring time blocks in your preferred calendar or schedule application will save you time and energy. \n\nIf you prefer to work with a handwritten calendar (like a Franklin Day Planner), you can achieve the same result by sitting down at the start of every month or quarter and manually mapping out any recurring work to-do items that you know will happen on a consistent basis. When you eliminate the need to think about every single item on your calendar every day, you decrease the potential decision fatigue that you may face and also decrease the mental strain you have from trying to remember too many things. You no longer have to be afraid you will forget to do something.\n\n2. Look through the lens of being in control\nMost successful business people have aversions to being controlled; they prefer to be masters of their own fates. While having a regimented, intensely scheduled calendar may seem daunting and oppressive at first, it is actually incredibly freeing once you lean into the benefits of a controlled schedule. Eliminating spontaneous events in your day also eliminates unnecessary stress and gives you freedom to choosUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! Belief Has the Power to Help You Achieve Your Goals
[[:encoded, "Nick Saban (who you might know from him being the American football coach at the University of Alabama since 2007) said, “When you invest your time, you make a goal and a decision of something that you want to accomplish. Whether it's, make good grades in school, be a good athlete, be a good person, go down and do some community service and help somebody who's in need, or whatever it is you choose to do, you're investing your time in that.” \n\nThe key element there is investment. We can’t ever hope to achieve something worthwhile if we don’t believe it is possible - if we are not emotionally invested in its success. If we don’t believe in our ability to figure something out, or to find success, then no one else will either! We can either be our own worst enemy or the best cheerleader we’ve ever had. But not at the same time. We are, at any given time, either tearing down our dreams and goals, or building them up. \n\nWhat You Believe Will Likely Come to Pass\n\nIn order to truly be successful, you have to believe you have the capacity for that success. Ultimately, it is all about harnessing the power of the Law of Attraction. The Law of Attraction is simple. It is the belief that having positive thoughts about your life and future will “attract” more positivity and prosperity in your life. Also called “self-fulfilling prophecy,” this concept is not a new one. \n\nFor example, if you go into a meeting thinking it will be boring and you will get nothing from it, don’t be surprise when you walk away having learned nothing new. You got out of it what you expected to find. Likewise, an open-minded person that goes into that same meeting prepared to have it be intriguing and beneficial, will likely find at least one usable nugget of information they can benefit from; therefore, reinforcing their initial belief about how the meeting should go.\n\nHow we feel about certain situations trickles into our body language and into our subconscious thoughts. If you dread going to work each day, it won’t be long before your posture becomes slumped, your attitude becomes poor, and your performance becomes lackluster. You have to intentionally change your feelings and – often – your body language – to reflect a new way of thinking in order to reach new goals and realize different outcomes and better outcomes for your life. \n\nDon’t Underestimate the Power of Positivity\n\nMuch like a boomerang, the beliefs and thoughts you put into your mind, and the energy you projectUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! 5 Effective and Incredibly Powerful Goal Setting Principles
[[:encoded, "The concept of goal setting is nothing new for those in business. Touted by everyone from Tony Robbins to Oprah as being a necessary part of a high-functioning life, setting an intention and then doing what it takes to reach it is a necessary skill that everyone believes is important. But how many of us actually set goals that take us where we want to go and then arrive there?\n\nOne study says that as few as eight percent of people set goals that they later achieve. The study focused on New Year’s resolutions, but it nevertheless paints a shocking picture of how we as a society tend to flippantly set goals without ever having a true intention of fulfilling those dreams and plans. \n\nSo, what did the elite eight percent do to set themselves apart from their peers? \n\n1. They Began with The Big Picture in Mind\n\nPeople that consistently achieve their goals spend time considering what steps are necessary to get across the finish line. That means looking at all the little, tedious steps (https://www.wendaful.com/2017/12/breaking-down-goals/) needed to get from A to Z and then plotting those steps – like a graph – across the timeline they have set up. They literally eliminated all of the guesswork, and in doing so they removed a majority of the barriers to success.\n\n2. They Got Hyper-Specific\n\nSetting a vague goal is a sure-fire way to kill your progress before it even begins. The less specific we are when setting a goal, the more wiggle room we give our subconscious self later on when we are running low on discipline and mental toughness. Instead of saying, “I want to increase revenue this year” say “In the first quarter of 2021 I will increase revenue by 12% by running targeted social media ads.” The difference in these two statements is that one is action focused and the other is more of a general statement. One provides a clear plan, and the other is left open for a bland future interpretation of success.\n\n3. They Surrounded Themselves with Unwavering Support \n\nWe were created for community. We crave connection. It is no surprise, then, that statistically those in the study that surrounded themselves with accountability were so much more likely to succeed. When you have people in your corner cheering you on, you will be able to find the strength to push on, even when you feel tired and discouraged.\n\n4. They Used External Stimuli to Boost Their Focus\n\nThis is an interesting principle, but one that merits exploration. We as humans are visuUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! 4 Forms of Accountability You Need for Even Greater Success
[[:encoded, "Accountability is more than just a friend that calls you up occasionally to make sure you’re sticking to your weight loss goals. It’s also more than the occasional roundtable discussion with business colleagues checking in how everyone in the group is doing in terms of hitting their quarterly financial goals. True, meaningful accountability serves to prop you up when you feel discouraged, and also propels you to heights you never thought possible. \n\nWhile there are many different types of accountability, both business and personal, these 4 types of accountability are ones you need to place in your life immediately:\n\n1.\tCharacter Accountability\n2.\tTime Management Accountability\n3.\tStrategic, Goal-Based Accountability\n4.\tRelationship Accountability\n\nUltimately, accountability is never just a one-time thing that applies to just a single area of life. To find even greater success, you need to be open to being challenged in all areas of your life. We can’t usually see our own blind spots – it takes trusted people in our lives to point them out to us and to provide us the support we need to work through those weak points intentionally.\n\n1. Character Accountability\n\nOur character, reputation, and word are the foundation that everything about us is built on. If our work teams can’t trust us to follow through on a promise, or if our clients can’t depend on us to deliver on time, or if our families can’t believe that we will come through for them when they need us, then nothing else really matters. Success in other areas of life is negated if our character isn’t rock-solid. \n\nFinding people or a person to hold us to a high standard of integrity in our personal and professional lives is one of the best things we can do to level up how we are currently living life. We all have room for improvement, and it takes others to shine a light on areas we don’t want to see or deal with because we know deep down that it takes a lot of work and discipline to change deeply ingrained character habits. \n\n2. Time Management Accountability\n\nHow we choose to spend our time can make or break our success. From spending too much time getting lost in social media, to occupying our workdays with excessive meetings instead of focusing on what brings in revenue and makes the most of our skills, time management is a hugely important aspect to prioritize and continually improve. \n\nThis area of life provides a great opportunity for you to forge relationships with liUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! 4 Time Management Principles to Accelerate Your Results
[[:encoded, "Today we are talking about 4 Time Management Principles Guaranteed to Help You Accelerate Your Results.\n\nTime management is not just a buzzword that you can throw around but never dig into. It’s also not something you try on for a week or two and become instantly successful at. If you want to truly accelerate your workday efforts and get more done in less time, it will require discipline and humility. \n\nThe rewards though? They are well worth the sacrifice. In addition to having more mental and physical bandwidth for the people and projects in your life that you truly care about, improving your time management gives you mental space for a renewed passion for your business and increased patience and resilience for the difficult things your workday throws your way.\n\nWhile there are many different principles that you can focus on that will help move you closer to a more productive schedule, these four time management principles are guaranteed to help accelerate your results and boost your productivity. The catch is that they all require intentionality.\n\nThese principles will not work unless you do, which is both liberating and limiting. However, if you are ready to find freedom and move beyond being a slave to your business and your to-do list, then roll up your sleeves and get ready to dive in.\n\n1. Remove Distractions – Even the Good Ones\n\nPerhaps one of the greatest workplace myths is the one that says we can multitask well. We may be multitasking, but the ball is always getting dropped somewhere. Our brains are only hardwired to be able to handle one thing at one time. We are fooled into thinking we are doing multiple things at once, but really our brains are just swapping back and forth at tremendous speeds. \n\nAdding more to the already spinning plate just makes it more difficult to gracefully switch to something different when the time comes. Not only that, but it actually takes longer to complete tasks this way. When was the last time you found enjoyment and success while trying to simultaneously eat a waffle and go for a jog? The answer is never – you would never try to overlap those two tasks because of the sheer impracticality of it all. Multitasking in business may appear to be more practical, but don’t be fooled. Dialing in your focus on one thing at a time whenever possible is a truly simple way to see amazing time management and productivity results. \n\n2. 4 Tips for Helping You to Stick To Your Goals
[[:encoded, "Today we are talking about 4 Tips for Helping You to Stick To Your Goals, so you have the highest probability of achieving them in the timeframe you desire.\n\nWe’ve all been there before…we find a goal that inspires us and we commit to doing the work…until life derails us. Whether it was that vacation, your assistant suddenly quits, or death in the family, the truth is life sometimes distracts us from our goals. Dealing with the disruption is one thing, getting back on track can be another.\n\nOkay, Let’s get going with the 4 tips to help you stick to your goals so you can get back on track and stay on track. \n\nTip #1: Focus on the Reward - Not the Work\nWise sages advise us to “be in the moment,” but let’s face it - you don’t always feel like running that last mile. You’re human; sometimes you lose your motivation in the middle of having to “do the work.”\n\nIf you’re losing your motivation, switch your focus on the reward. Focus on the good feelings of having accomplished your goal and how much easier it will be the next time because you will have broken through another limiting belief.\n\n“We only learn our limits by going beyond them.” ~Unknown\n\nTip #2: The Have-To’s Sometimes Turn into the Want-To’s\nThe work involved with achieving goals can feel like a “have-to” in the beginning, but they often turn into a “want-to” by the end of the process. They become a positive habit - a healthy way of being - while the work part eventually melts away.\n\nThis happens because it’s not always about the end result - it’s about the person you become as a result of the process.\n\nWhen you learn a new way of living - a way of living that better represents and supports your true potential - things that used to be a “have-to” transform into a “want-to.”\n\n“Conquer your bad habits or they will conquer you.” ~Charles A. Jaffe\n\nTip #3: It’s Who You Become in the Process\nThe person you woke up as today may not be the same person you wake up as tomorrow - or the day after that - or next week - or ten years from now.\n\nWhile it’s impossible to predict exactly who you’ll be in the future, it’s a safe bet that you will not be the exact same person. \n\nLife is a process of constant change and transformation. Each day we learn more about ourselves, which results in greater clarity of our true desires. The path between where we are and where we want to be becomes more clear and focused, creating a deep and focused desire to see the process through. \n\nSettingUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! 3 Steps to Writing an Effective Business Plan that Inspires
[[:encoded, "The idea of starting your own business can be exciting and inspiring, but for most small business owners, writing an effective business plan is not considered an exciting part of starting the process; therefore, many choose not to create one or update it on a consistent basis. Traditional business plans can be very dry and uninteresting, so you are about to learn how to create an effective business plan that not only gets you excited, it will inspire you, and others, to take action.\n\nThe length and details of an effective business plan will be determined by the type of business you’re creating or updating the one you currently have. The key is to create not just another business plan, but an effective business plan that inspires you, and others, to take action. \n\nFirst, let’s get clear on the essential components of an effective business plan:\n\n•\tExecutive Summary \n•\tMarket Analysis \n•\tCompany Description \n•\tOrganization & Management \n•\tMarketing & Sales Management \n•\tService or Product Line \n•\tFunding Request \n•\tFinancials \n•\tAppendix\n\nPart 1: Executive Summary\nThe executive summary is the most important component of an effective business plan because it will be the first thing the reader sees. This is where you’ve got to grab the reader’s attention and inspire them to support your vision through your mission statement. Provide a history of your company, its current standing, and future vision.\n\nAlthough the executive summary should be the first component in the business plan layout, it should actually be the last component you create. Once you have completed all other components it will be easier to come back to the executive summary and nicely tie in key points.\n\nPart 2: Market Analysis\nThis is your opportunity to shine and highlight your knowledge of the industry. This will also be where you will identify your target market and what you know about them. Take this opportunity to spotlight comprehensive market research and projected profit margins.\n\nPart 3: Company Description\nKeeping it brief, describe how all the elements of your business fit together. This component should include how the nature of your business makes you unique and the primary factors that will make your company a success. Be sure to clarify the marketplace need and how your company is poised for a competitive edge.\n\nPart 4: Operation and Management\nIn this component, include your business’s organizational structure, details about owUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! Michael Arterberry – Overcoming Adversity and Obstacles
[[:encoded, "As a teenager, Michael Arterberry was fortunate to receive guidance from positive adult role models who helped him overcome adversities and set high expectations for his future. Grateful for the role these mentors played in his own development, Michael decided to dedicate his professional life to helping people navigate the difficulties of life and launch their future into motion. For more than 25 years, he has been helping teens and adults to use what they have gone through as a catalyst for success rather than an obstacle for failure.\n\nIn 2008, Michael founded Youth Voices Center, Inc. a non-profit with the mission of helping young people to become active, productive members of society by overcoming their obstacles, their history, stereotypes and even their own self-image and limiting beliefs. Michael is the author of \"Be Encouraged: 250 Days of Motivation and Encouragement\", a daily motivational book.\n \nHere are some questions I asked Michael that you will benefit from by listening to his answers:\n\n1) I have had people talk about how they wanted to achieve a particular goal and they had people (friends, family, and peers) telling them their goals were too big or they should rethink their goals to deflate their desire for their stated goal (unintentionally or maybe intentionally). \n\nYou have a comment in your book that says: Don't let someone who gave up on their dreams talk you out of yours. Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will. Can you elaborate on this please?\n\nMichael said: “Don’t let history control your destiny.” \n\n2) At different times in our lives I think we have all felt overwhelmed with something. What do you do suggest we do that can help up when we might be feeling overwhelmed?\n\n3) You have a comment in your book that basically says: Perception is everything and there is a danger in a flawed perception. What exactly do you mean by this and how would we know we have a flawed perception, and then how could we fix it going forward?\n\nMichael said: There is danger in low expectations. We have to run after our destiny because as we run for what is in front of us, we escape what's behind us. \n\nThe Fresh Patch Podcast - Where Good Pets Get It. Happy New Year! Let’s kick some butt in 2021!
[[:encoded, "“What the New Year brings to you will depend a great deal on what you bring to the New Year.” I think this is a great quote by Vern McLellan.\n\nWe all have 365 days in a year. 14 Tips to Help You Maintain Work Life Balance
[[:encoded, "Maintaining balance when the demands of work and life are pulling you in different directions can be a bit challenging at times. What’s at the heart of finding balance in your life? Peace, happiness, rest, health? The definition of balance is different for everyone: What may be balance to me may not be balance to you; which is why it’s important to get to the heart of what’s uniquely important in your life. \n\nLet’s explore the 14 tips to help you maintain work life balance. Choose 1 or 2 of the 14 tips to help you get even better at having work life balance.\n\nTip #1. Identify Your Core Values (what is truly important to you in life)\nAbove all, honoring your core values is vital to maintaining a sense of balance because it directly affects your quality of life. Identify your core values and make the necessary life/work changes that honor them, so you can enjoy the kind of business and life you truly want and deserve. To help you identify your core values, complete my Values Clarification Exercise. \n\nTo download my complimentary 6-page Values Clarification Exercise to help get you started on defining and getting clarity on your core values, go to https://www.accountabilitycoach.com/values-clarification/.\n\n2. Know Your Priorities – and Schedule Them\nIf it’s really important, it must be scheduled. As I often say, honor thy calendar. Work and family are not the only important priorities, so be sure to schedule “you” time where you can to refuel, rejuvenate and tend to your own health and well-being. I believe that in order to stay focused on your high payoff activities and achieve your goals you must schedule everything on your calendar.\n\n3. Establish a Home Office\nIf you struggle with traveling to and from an office away from home, save time and get even more done by establishing a home office. Word of caution: it can be easy to get distracted by personal matters and family members when working from home, so set clear “office hours” where you can focus on work and will not be disturbed. Certainly, working virtually is much more common today than it used to be.\n\n4. Work Remotely 1-2 Days per Week\nIf you work best outdoors or in your favorite peaceful environment, schedule “remote” days where you can head to your favorite destination to brainstorm new business ideas or boost production. Wherever you typically work, find a new place to be remote from your normal work environment and see how much more you get done.\n\n5. 4 Essentials of a Successful Business Plan
[[:encoded, "Does your business plan have holes? Do you even have a business plan? When was the last time you looked at it (last January when you created it)? Many aspects of a business plan are overlooked and that can lead to professional disaster. Before you can build a successful business, you must first learn how to create a solid business plan. Not surprisingly, writing a business plan can be a tedious process. You may be tempted to jump in head first, but it’s important to pinpoint these basic questions before you move forward. Given the adequate preparation and attention a successful business plan needs, your worthwhile investment will build your business on a solid foundation. Now, let’s explore the four essentials of successful business planning. \n\n1. Defined Purpose: Before you can go anywhere, you must first know where you are headed. Ever attempt a cross-country road-trip without a map or GPS? Well, building a business plan without having a vision for the business is much like driving a car without a map or directions.\n\nDefining the purpose of your business will give you a starting and ending point - both of which are essential to building a solid business plan. First, define the benefits you are delivering to clients. From there, define how those benefits will change your clients’ lives for the better. What will they specifically be able to do that they weren’t able to do before they purchased your product or service? \n\nIf you’re not quite sure of the answers, start with these bullet points:\n•\tWho will you be selling these items to? Define your ideal client.\n•\tWhat product or service are you providing? What purpose does it provide?\n•\tWhere you will be selling it from? Catalog? Website? In-Person? Third party?\n•\tWhy would consumers purchase your product or service? What needs/hole/void does it fill?\n\nIf you’re specializing in a specific item or service, try to locate accessories or add-on services to market along with the main product. Does it make sense for you to open up a brick and mortar shop or is it more practical to open up shop online? Yes, properly answering these questions can be time consuming, but preparing a successful business plan is essential to setting your business up for success. \n\n2. Detailed Marketing Strategy: No business can survive without an effective marketing strategy. When starting a business, it’s imperative to be aware of exactly how you’re going to locate clients for your business. The Only Thing Stopping You from Achieving Your Goals
[[:encoded, "Today we are talking about being a Dreamer or a Doer – which is the only thing stopping you from achieving your goals.\n\nYou set goals, yet you don’t achieve them. Time and time again you find yourself stopping midway between the start and finish lines. You start off running out of the gate, enthused and driven to make a difference this time, but each time, something derails you from sticking to the game plan.\n\nPerhaps you convinced yourself that it was lack of time, energy, or resources. You simply didn’t have the time to stick to it or that a 5am run or late night at the gym was the last thing you felt motivated to do. You didn’t have a babysitter…or the money…or the will power.\n\nIt’s the classic paradox of Dreamer vs. Doer.\n\nAs you know, my Excuses Don’t Count; Results Rule (https://www.accountabilitycoach.com/excuses-dont-count-results-rule-book/) philosophy is the basis for my coaching business because excuses are never the real reason you stop short of your goals. No, the real reason is something entirely different.\n\nSo, what’s the real reason behind all those excuses you make?\n\nYou are simply not willing to do what it takes to achieve your goals. You just don’t want what you say you want badly enough to actually do what it takes.\n\nThis is the real reason, and the only thing, stopping you from achieving your goals. Plain and simple.\n\nThe initial desire of achieving a goal may be enough to kick-start your action plan, but it takes commitment to maintain the motivation to achieve the goal.\n\nCommitment is what separates the dreamer from the doer.\n\nNo matter what the nature of the excuse is the only reason you stop short of achieving your goal is because the desire to do whatever it takes to achieve the goal isn’t strong enough.\n\nIn other words - you don’t want it bad enough to commit to being a doer.\n\nIf you’re tired of start-stop goal setting, here are some tips for helping you understand the reasons behind not wanting it bad enough:\n\nThe Payoff Isn’t High Enough\nSometimes the payoff (future benefit) of goal achievement isn’t enough to maintain your motivation in the now. That last mile....that last lap…that last squat… another phone call to a prospect… it can be challenging to find the motivation from the payoff - especially when it isn’t high enough.\n\nYour payoff should be so enticing that there is no question in your mind that you are sticking to your game plan. No questions, no excuses. You desire that payoff so deeUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! Being Thankful and Grateful is Always Important
[[:encoded, "How would you answer this question? Are you a grateful person? \n\nAre you thankful for the good things, big and small, in your life?\n\nAs quickly as time moves, technology advances, all the work deadlines and a long to-do list, and personal chores we have to do, it is sometimes too easy to forget all the things we are grateful for and all the gifts we receive every day. I’m talking about simple things like, the air we breathe, the health we have, and our friendships. There is always something to be thankful for, in my opinion. I’m just as guilty as most of us and sometimes forget to focus on all the things that I’m grateful for, but I do try to be even more grateful each week and as time goes on.\n\nJim Rohn has a great quote. He said: “Learn to be thankful for what you already have, while you pursue all that you want.” \n\nWhat are all the things you are grateful for?\n\nAt the end of the day, right before you go to sleep, think about all those things you are grateful for, and see how well you sleep. \n\nI’m grateful for you and for you listening to my Accountability Coach podcast.\nLet me know how else I can be of service to you on your goal achievement journey, so you can have the kind of business and life you truly want and deserve.\n\nAim for what you want each and every day! \n\nIf you are getting value from any of Podcasts, please take a minute to leave me a short rating and review. 3 Tips for Building a Team that Increases Your Success
[[:encoded, "Today we are talking about 3 Tips for Building a Team that Increases Your Firm's Success.\n\nIf you want to learn how to build a team that builds success, you will want to take a look at the big picture. Take any successful entrepreneur, and behind him or her, you will find a well-suited team of supportive, knowledgeable, and energetic members all dedicated to increasing the success of your business.\n\nTip #1 for building a team that builds success. If you’re trying to understand how to build a team that builds success, you should first pinpoint the mission of your business. Only when you have a clear understanding, as a leader, of the mission of your business, can you build the right team. When you can clearly identify and emotionally connect with the mission, you are able to identify the right people who are best suited to support the success of your business.\n\nDepending on the mission statement of the business, you may need to focus on building a team of creatives, analytics, intellectuals, or spiritualists. For example, a PR (public relations) firm wouldn’t necessarily build a team of spiritualists; that personality would be better suited for a business that is motivational or inspirationally based. A PR firm would more likely hire creatives and intellectuals. Another example of personality matching would be an accounting firm; they would look to building a team of analytical members, not necessarily creatives or spirituals. \n\nAlways start with the mission of the business, and then build your team. Let’s say you need an assistant to travel with you to help you with live events such as seminars and guest appearances. An important personality factor would be to ensure the team member has the following qualities:\n•\treliable and punctual\n•\tgreat organizer\n•\tkeeps you calm under times of stress\n•\ttakes care of the small details so you don’t have to\n•\tloves traveling\n•\tlove meeting new people\n•\thas a personable, magnetic personality \n\nAction Step #1\nRevisit your professional mission statement. If it doesn’t “sit right” with you or isn’t specific enough, rewrite it. Your mission statement should always begin with benefit(s) to your clients (and who those clients are), followed by a reason(s). It should always invoke some meaning for you, as in a passion or personal mission. \n\nFor example, “ABC International is dedicated to providing expert overseas investment advice to small business owners (less than 20 employees) in thUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! Here are 10 No-Cost and Low-Cost Ways to Market Your Businesses.\n\nTip #1: Reach Out To Strategic Partners\nStrategic Partners are a complement (not competition) to your business (as your business is to theirs). Provide an Ideal Client Description and ask if they know someone who is an ideal fit. If they do know someone who would benefit from working with you, ask them to pass along your contact information to the prospect. (Asking for the prospect’s contact information - and contacting them directly - may not always be appropriate. Follow the Strategic Partner’s client privacy policy before contacting the prospect.) Last but not least - return the favor.\n\nTip #2: Develop Joint-Venture Projects\nJoint-Ventures are gaining popularity as we find it’s not only more effective, but sometimes necessary, to pool resources together. This marketing strategy accomplishes two goals: 1) Gets your business in front of a new market and 2) Allows opportunities for new or creative products or services you may have previously been unable to provide. *Choose Joint-Venture Partners wisely… once a partnership is formed, reputations will inevitably be tied to one another.\n\nTip #3: Build a Community\nThe power of the community deeply serves us. Create an in-person or virtual community where like-minded business owners can meet once a week to discuss marketing strategies that work or brainstorm new and innovative ways to attract ideal clients. Use your business brand or personal philosophy as an anchor to the community and you’ll be providing what no one else can.\n\nTip #4: Update Client Success Stories\nYou may have client testimonials, but do you have updated success stories? Contact clients who have worked with you and ask them to provide their latest success story by specifically tying at least one piece of their success to something they learned or were provided by your product, program, or service. The greater the success story - the greater the value that directly ties back to your business. Promote the updated testimonials and remember to put them on Unlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! Your Mindset Makes a Difference in Your Success
[[:encoded, "Today we are talking about ideas to help you with your mindset because I believe mindset can make all the difference in your success. \n\nWhether or not you realize it, your business success and revenue will always be in line with your mindset. Think big and you will get much bigger results; think small and…well, you can guess what that brings. The key to growing your business is thinking big!\n\nWhat happens when you think small?\n\nYou end up thinking about how you’re going to “get by,” or “make it one more month.” Chances are you’re thinking of the immediate short term, just enough to save you temporarily. Another aspect of thinking small is thinking in terms of compensation on an hourly scale. You can’t even think in terms of investments or what would benefit you long term, because you can’t afford to. When you think small, you can only focus on making money for the here and now. \n\nWhat’s the first thing when you consider a new project, application, or business expense? Could it be how much it’s going to cost you? That mindset alone will keep you trapped where you are until you figure out a new way of thinking.\n\nTo break out of the “thinking small” shell, start considering the value of what it is you are investing in. What will it help you accomplish? What benefits will it deliver? Will it help drive sales? Will it help build your business? Will it free up your time? Those are the questions you should be asking yourself. \n\nWhat happens when you think big?\n\nWealthy people think differently, and that’s no secret, but, what may not be so obvious is how their mindset directly affects their ability to continually grow. They have simply learned through experience or from the guidance of a mentor that there are successful ways to do things - and they know it all starts with mindset. They learn these traits, study them, and perfect them until they make calculated moves that are more times successful than not. I believe that because successful people think big, they have learned to be comfortable with being uncomfortable, and that consistently pushes them to do activities that get them to their next level, then the next level, then the next level.\n\nRemember the software that you didn’t want to invest money into because you thought it was too expensive? Well, that was the first thing your successful counterpoint purchased! Why? Because it cut time by a third, reduced expenses and increased revenue. While you’re still struggling,Unlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! Interview with Chris Atley – Mindset Expert
[[:encoded, "Chris Atley is a Canadian living her dream in a small beach town in California! BUT her dream almost didn't happen. Thankfully, she made the decision to live her life full out, put other people's expectations to the side and got out of her own way! When she learned and shifted the disempowering beliefs that were running her life, she was able to grow her business 10x in just 10-months, and move to her dream spot by the beach with her family. Chris has a BA in Psychology and is a Master NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) Practitioner. Chris enjoys sharing how our beliefs dictate every single action we take (or don't take), and what we can do to manifest our hearts desires! Because BELIEVE is one of my favorite words and has a big impact on how we go through life, and because success is 90% mindset, I thought she would be the perfect guest!!\n\nHere are some questions I asked Chris that you will benefit from by listening to her answers:\n1.\tAfter you spent a gazillion dollars learning how to run a business, not getting to the next level, and feeling stressed, overwhelmed, and depleted, you said you realized that you were the common denominator in the equation. How did you realize what your limiting beliefs were that were living in your subconscious mind, and then how did you dig your way out of that situation?\n\n2.\tAfter plateauing for 4 years with your business, what was the single most important mindset or action you had to have or do to grow your business 10 times in 10 months?\n\nLook at “sales” from an empowered place and being of service. Not all people understand how to really view sales in this way.\n\n3.\tWhat was the “inner work” you had to do in order to take a stand for achieving your big dreams?\n\nPerseverance to do the work no matter what it takes. She used the crabs in a bucket analogy.\n\n4.\tWhat makes you say that “success is 90% mindset”? And what is the other 10%?\n\n5.\tHow do people know they have limiting beliefs that are holding them back, because I think sometimes people don’t even know they have these limiting beliefs that are holding them back?\n\nIt comes from looking at where you are at, and if you aThe Fresh Patch Podcast - Where Good Pets Get It. How Can an Accountability Coach Help Accelerate Your Results
[[:encoded, "Today we are talking about Why You Might Want to Consider Hiring an Accountability Coach to help you Accelerate the Achievement of Your Goals.\n\nMany entrepreneurs have a difficult time managing their time efficiently, unknowingly sabotaging their own success. They often spend months, even years, struggling to discern between the low-priority and high-impact tasks, and where their efforts drive the biggest results. Unfortunately, this type of unawareness can lead to a failed business. How do you prevent self-sabotage of your business? Hire an accountability coach! Here are four reasons you should hire an accountability coach:\n\nAn Accountability Coach can help you…\n•\tUnderstand how your actions either lead you toward or away from your goal(s)\n•\tNip procrastination and other timewasters in the bud\n•\tBreak free of your limiting beliefs\n•\tAchieve success by refining how you approach personal and professional goals\n\nAn Accountability Coach can help create direction: An accountability coach understands how each of your actions (or lack of action) leads to your results. It’s fairly simple for someone to define their end goal (e.g. make $15,000 each month), but choosing which road to embark on to reach the goal is an entirely different endeavor. \n\nA quality accountability coach will provide you with the tools to understand the direction your actions will take you and teach you how to forecast the results, so you know which road to walk in the future. He or she will also teach you how to create the most efficient and effective direction to produce the biggest results. You can be sure that you will develop a clear mindset of what works and what doesn’t. \n\nAn Accountability Coach can help eliminate procrastination: Procrastination is the worst enemy of any business owner. Regardless of how many books, tapes, or tickets to seminars you purchase for achieving success, if you lack the discipline, you will not see results. Thankfully, an accountability coach will put an end to your procrastination by establishing clear accountability rules.\n\nAccountability coaching will help you by making you fully aware that you’re completely responsible for how you spend your time. Your success lies in your hands and your success is directly dependent upon the effort you’re willing to put in to realizing your goal. Your accountability coach will certainly put you to the test, asking you to honestly account for your time, actions, and results. \n\nAn AUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! Work by Appointment Only Increases Your Productivity
[[:encoded, "Today we are talking about 3 Reasons Why Beck-and-Call is Not Better Business and working by appointment only increases your productivity and effectiveness.\n\nThere is a huge misconception that the best business is a business that is at the beck-and-call of its clients. The truth is that the best business is a business that effectively sets boundaries, and manages and exceeds client expectations in order to maintain a productive and effective flow.\n\nIf you are constantly juggling clients, answering the phone at all hours of the day, interrupting your personal time to fit in business, and feeling stressed, here are 3 Reasons Why Beck-and-Call is Not Better Business.\n\n1. It’s Impossible to Manage Client Expectations\nWithout structure and a solid foundation of rules and regulations, managing client expectations is impossible. They will expect the world, and will be sorely disappointed, when you do not deliver it. In other words, without boundaries, it’s quite possible they will expect everything.\n\nYou may find yourself, at one point or another, running yourself ragged juggling multiple clients, all of whom expect your undivided attention. When you find it impossible to meet the expectations of your clients, your business will suffer in more than one way. You’ll be exhausted and clients will be left dissatisfied. No one wins.\n\nClient expectations can only be effectively managed by outlining specific deliverables from the very beginning. If this isn’t possible (if the working relationship has already begun), then establish and communicate boundaries to clients as soon as you can.\n\nIf you can find a way to establish some ground rules (and stay firm to them), your clients will maintain healthy expectations and be satisfied (if not extremely happy) with the results. Establishing ground rules to manage client expectations is much like the tasks you schedule in your planner/calendar: Write it down and honor it.\n\n2. It’s Impossible to Effectively Manage Your Business\nImagine how effectively you can manage your business when you’re struggling to meet multiple demands of multiple clients? Instead of having time to focus on building your business, you’ll be struggling just to maintain it. That’s no way to run your business. It’s much like multi-tasking - it doesn’t work well.\n\nIf you’re consumed with meeting the high demands of unbridled client expectations, your business isn’t running with the greatest effectiveness or efficiency. You’re spending tUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! Want more proven business success tips and resources? 6 Ideas to Get Even More Clients and Increase Revenue
[[:encoded, "Most entrepreneurs experience a critical stage in their business where they need to consistently build their client base, yet they don’t have the time or resources to devote to serving more clients. So, how do you get more clients without working harder? \n\nLet’s talk about 6 tips to help you do this. \n\nIdea #1: Create Information Resources\nRegardless of your industry, your business has a powerful point of leverage that can be used to find and keep more clients: information. Create free and low-cost channels through which you can introduce yourself and your business - without significant time or effort investment on the backend. This is the “Create-It-And-Leave-It” method that creates not only more avenues for prospects to learn about you, but also expands your market reach and/or revenue.\n\n*The goal here is to create a hands-off/low-touch method to allow prospects the opportunity to Know-Like-Trust you. As we all know, this process takes time and effort. By providing these hands-off/low-touch resources, you will free up your time which will boost revenue because you’ll have more time to focus on the clients who are ready to work with you now!\n\nExamples: Downloadable Information Products (ebooks, special reports, etc.) - Blog - Free Articles – Free Podcasts – Free Videos – Free Information Calls or Webinars.\n\nIdea #2: Stand Out\nTo get the attention of ideal prospects, you must stand out from the crowd. Everyday information isn’t unique information. You have to show ideal prospects what makes you different from others in your industry. Be willing to share personal and professional experiences - and the lessons you’ve learned from those experiences. You have a unique perspective that separates you from the crowd. When you begin sharing what makes you different, it becomes easier for your ideal prospect to identify you from the rest of the crowd.\n\nExamples: Your unique experience is your Unique Selling Point (USP). You are your greatest USP. Even if you’re selling a corporate product or service, what makes it unique is what you bring to the table because no one else delivers that in the way that only you are able.\n\nLet me share a quick story with you. A real estate agent friend of mine had a client who wanted a specific house in a specific area of town. They agreed on a fair price for the house based on the comps for that house in that area and the agent went to the owners house with a bottle of champagne and said that he just sold his hUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! Robby Slaughter Interview–Workflow and Productivity Expert
[[:encoded, "Robby Slaughter is a workflow and productivity expert, and you know how important I think having workflows and being productive are to the success of your business. His consulting practice assists a wide variety of organizations, including Fortune 500 companies, regional non-profits, small businesses and individual entrepreneurs to help increase productivity, simplify workflow and optimize business processes. He discovered that to become more effective and efficient at work, we need to empower individuals with authority and responsibility, and I couldn’t agree more.\n\nHere are some questions I asked Robby that you will benefit from by listening to his answers:\n1. What is the #1 reason people struggle with being productive at work?\n\nInability to understand the emotional impact of tasks and the people around those tasks.\n\nPlease elaborate on this for us.\n\n2. When asked, most business professionals tell me they waste about 2-3 hours a day. How can the average business professional become better at time management, so they aren’t wasting so much time each day?\n\nStep one is self-forgiveness. Accept that you’re going to have bad days, and forgive yourself. \nStep two is to identify and manage the distractions and interruptions that impact you. Turn off email notifications. Set your phone to do-not-disturb for 30-minute stretches. Ignore social media. What do you recommend people to help them reduce interruptions and distractions that plague most offices?\n\nGet out of the office. Go to a conference room or a coffee shop. Work from an empty cubicle for a while. Close your door if you have one, or wear big headphones (even if they aren’t playing any music.) Delegate More and Accelerate Your Business
[[:encoded, "Today we are talking about Delegating Even More and Accelerate Your Business Success. \n\nDelegation for business owners is a must-do for success! When you can hand over your administrative tasks and projects off to an able assistant or employee, you can focus on more important tasks that only you can do to grow your business and increase revenue. The art of delegation is an essential part of establishing a growing business. \n\nWhy Delegate? \n\nThere will come a time in your business (for most business owners, this comes sooner rather than later) when you feel overwhelmed. You may find that you have too many tasks to accomplish without enough time to get them done. It is when you come to the realization that delegating the small or low-priority tasks to an assistant would make your life a whole lot easier, that it is time to do it. \n\nDelegation allows you to eliminate the low-priority tasks so you can free up time to focus on the high-payoff producing tasks. Clearly, this can allow you to focus on increasing your revenue, and it can also free up time to center your energy towards expanding your business. When your business continues to grow, eventually reaching another plateau, you may find it necessary to hire more assistants or outsource more tasks and activities. \n\nCommon Tasks to Delegate include activities such as:\n•\tAnswering Phones/Returning phone calls\n•\tSending/returning emails\n•\tPerforming research\n•\tBookkeeping\n•\tScheduling appointments\n•\tWebsite design and maintenance\n•\tMany aspects of marketing\n•\tWriting articles and blogs, etc.\n\nGenerally speaking, administrative tasks should always be delegated to an assistant. While answering the phone and responding to emails is important, your focus should be on the tasks that directly increase the growth of your business. For instance, your energy should be focused on conducting seminars, creating new products or services, networking, meeting clients and prospects in person, talking to strategic alliances or centers of influence, expanding into new markets, etc.\n\nThe common tasks that I mentioned earlier should not require your attention. Hire an employee or virtual assistant to take full responsibility for their maintenance. These sample tasks are simple tasks that almost anyone can do, but other tasks that require a specific skill set should also be delegated to experienced professionals. \n\nYou may have a background in web design, and be capable of completingUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! 10 Principles to Reduce Distractions and Accelerate Results
[[:encoded, "Through my 24+ years of coaching people, I have found that we're all guilty of allowing the little things to distract us from what we should be doing. This happens to all of us to some degree or another. Instead of working, we chat with our friends or co-workers, check the latest chain email in our inbox, surf the internet, and do everything we can to avoid working. Why? Because we don't feel like working - we're too busy daydreaming about being on the beach in Hawaii sipping a MaiTai or skiing the slopes. I'd like that too, but the fact is that in order to get where you want to be, you have to do the work required to achieve your goals and experience ultimate success.\n\nWhether you are an employee or self-employed, your income depends solely on you. And the more efficiently you can work the bigger returns you will receive. Take a moment and ask yourself where you truly want to be? Now tell me how many things you did today, yesterday, and the day before yesterday that directly contributed to the future results you want. And then tell me how many things you did today that did not contribute to your success. Those things probably distracted you from what you knew you should have been doing.\n\nSo, you might be saying, ah - it's OK, everyone does it and shrug it off. Well, not everyone does it - however, most do. So, what's the harm in the little everyday distractions? Those distractions are called distractions for a reason. They are distracting you from doing what you need to do in order to get you where you ultimately want to be.\n\nMinimize distractions and you'll reach your goals faster - plain and simple. If you're self-employed and want to increase your monthly income by $3,000, that won't happen by surfing the internet or playing solitaire. It's going to come from doing the highest payoff activities that have the highest probability of building your success. You must minimize distractions and focus on the tasks that have a positive effect on your success.\n\nWhether you are an employee, self-employed, or work at home, all of these ten principles can be applied to reduce and eliminate distractions.\n\nApply these ten principles we will now be discussing to help you reduce or eliminate distractions from your life.\n\n1. Use and honor your calendar and task list. Honoring your calendar will help you stay focus on the ‘right’ activities and eliminate distractions. [[:encoded, "Today we are talking about 8 Ideas for Getting Even More Done and Accelerate Your Results.\n\nWe all want more success and the fear of failure can often be the driving force of our actions. We work long hours, sacrifice personal time, and even sleep. We put our heart and soul into what we're trying to achieve, only to find that we're spinning our wheels. We think we're getting things done, because at the end of the day all of our Action List items are crossed out; but did we really get closer to achieving our goals? The fact is, most of us accomplish a whole list of things by the end of the day, but have little to show for it. Your success depends on what you are doing and the way you are getting things done. If you're not moving closer to your goal achievement, you are not getting things done the right way.\n\nThe good news is - getting things done the right way requires only a simple shift in your actions. There are only two ways of getting things done; one way leads to your success, while the other keeps you in the same position you're in right now. There is no in between. Getting things done right comes down to taking actions that support your forward progress and success. If you feel like you've been spinning your wheels, you probably have been. You might be getting things done, but your actions have been sabotaging your success. You end up working twice as hard, only to stay in the same place.\n\nGetting things done the right way, can take you from spinning your wheels to; creating more time, expending less effort, reducing frustration and moving you closer to your goals with every single action. This is possible because success relies on one principle: success takes successful actions. Let’s explore 8 ideas for getting things done the right way. \n\n1. Organize Your Time for Optimal Performance\nSuccess takes successful time management. Whether you're a corporate executive or an entrepreneur, you must optimize your performance. The universe will only deliver what you can handle, so if you want more, you have to do more without adding more hours to your day. \n\t\nAscertain what you need to Do, Delegate, and Delay. Since you can't manifest any more hours in a day, focus on your highest pay-off activities. In other words, do just those things that will lead to the highest probability of achieving your goals in the quickest timeframe possible. Put these things in priority order and then in your calendar. You will quickly realize Unlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! Apply Effective Management Principles and Increase Success
[[:encoded, "Today we are talking about ideas to apply effective time management principles to help you be even more success.\n\nOne of the success principles of any successful person is effective time management. In order to create your ideal life and business, you must learn to schedule EVERYTHING (even showers initially, eating, drive time, working out, family time, etc.) and be extremely effective at time management. If you are like me, you think you can get done more than you actually can, so you run out of time to get everything done you put on your list. For me, this isn’t a good feeling, especially if it were to happen day after day. \n\nWhen you begin to calendar your activities, take a look at everything you have to do and how long you think it will take to get each one done and then add “cushion” time to each activity. I haven’t been able to come up with a rule of them for how much extra time should be given to each activity. It is dependent on you and the activity. You may have to explore in the beginning to figure out what works best for you based on how well you estimated the initial time for each activity. \n\nIf you actually do finish the activity before the time you allotted, you have the gift of time to move on to the next activity. Put everything on your calendar. In time, you will become better at how much time you actually need for each activity. \n\nYou want to also make sure to include buffer time for something that has a deadline. Say you have to submit a proposal to a prospective client by a certain date. In order to have it done, you determine approximately how much time you think it will take to create the proposal and then add a bit of time to that total. You then give yourself a deadline for completion that is 2 or 3 days before the actual ‘drop dead’ deadline. \n\nThis means that if you have issues and unforeseen things that occur, you still will complete it by the actual deadline date. This works well when you have to rely on others to help you get something done. If you get it done early, all the better for you and what impression it will make with the prospective client.\n\nYou may have to go through trial and error on a schedule until you find optimal results. Some people are early birds and will tackle certain tasks first thing, while others will find they are more effective in the afternoon. Just be sure to schedule tasks when they can be achieved with the greatest efficiency and outcome.\n\nCalendaring your activitieUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! 4 Benefits of Embracing Change to Increase Business Success
[[:encoded, "Today we are talking about 4 Benefits of Embracing Change to Increase Business Success. \n\nYou don’t need anyone to tell you that the world is undergoing many changes right now, that’s pretty obvious. What may not be so obvious is your ability to adapt to the changes that are necessary for your business to survive and thrive in the changing market. How do you set yourself up for success when global changes are affecting the future of your business? You find out where the change is headed and adapt to meet the demand.\n\nHypothetically, you could resist changes in the market and stand stubbornly in your comfort zone. The major drawback to that would be that you would probably be sinking in quicksand – and taking your business with you.\n\nEmbracing change is important for everyone to embrace. The ability to adapt to change, and even welcome it, is absolutely essential to the success of your business and life. What happens when you fight change? That’s pretty simple; instead of embracing change and adapting to it, you spent hours of energy fighting it – only to have to surrender to it in the end. The fight didn’t make it any easier, nor did it prevent the change from occurring. So why waste all the time and emotional energy to fight something that is inevitable?\n\nLet’s take a look at 4 things that can happen when you embrace change.\n\n1. You may uncover a problem you didn’t know existed\nIt’s easy to become complacent when things seem to be going well, and put the blinders on when everything around you is stuck in a rut. When you deal with the same pattern, over and over again, you lose perspective of what is working and what isn’t working. Continually having a healthy perspective and a finger on the pulse of your business is very valuable and important. \n\nAs an entrepreneur, it is essential that you are running your business with the greatest efficiency and profit. If you don’t know what your big money maker is or if you’re marketing plan doesn’t have a successful ROI, you’ve got a problem. Research what drives other successful businesses and accomplishes the goals you have in sight. Identify what works and then copy that model to your own business. Change and improve what isn’t working and you’ll be setting your business up for success. In addition, take a forward-thinking approach to your industry to anticipate changes that can affect you, and be willing to change or adjust quickly if needed. \n\n2. The easy part is integration Unlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! 5 Benefits of Taking Action to Increase Business Success
[[:encoded, "New business owners are especially prone to delay taking action in their business, because the unknown outcome can be pretty intimidating. However, even seasoned entrepreneurs will put off taking action, simply due to the fact they lack the free time to juggle another endeavor. \n\nSo, what to do when you know that taking action would benefit your business, but you can’t seem to implement much needed change? Ask yourself these questions:\n\n1.\tDo I want to increase my income (grow my business)?\n2.\tDo I want to grow my client base?\n3.\tDo I want to create more free time?\n\nIf you answered yes to at least one of these 3 questions, then taking action now is the best thing you can do for you – and your business. Just for a moment, let’s go back to the reason(s) you became an entrepreneur? Although there may be many reasons, they are all probably related to the following benefits:\n\n•\tMore free time\n•\tWork from home\n•\tThe freedom to make money doing what you enjoy\n•\tIndependence, flexibility, and freedom with schedule\n•\tUnlimited earning potential\n•\tDidn’t want to work for anyone\n\nSound familiar? \n\nMy husband, Bill Bachrach, has a quote that applies to what we are talking about today. He says, “If comfort is your goal, success in NOT in your future.” \n\nEntrepreneurs have many reasons for going into business for themselves, but most reasons are directly related to flexibility, freedom, and income. The key in creating a business that remains flexible, provides freedom, and constantly grows (increasing income) is change. Taking action allows your business to grow with the changing demand and market. Every time you delay taking action, regardless of the reason, you are stalling your business and your success.\n\nLet’s take a look at 5 benefits of taking action – now.\n\n1. Increase Revenue\nThis should always be the first priority with your business, because when you increase sales, you increase income – and that creates more leverage. The more leverage you have, the easier it is to create a business that fits your lifestyle. Taking action is vital to increasing sales, so do not delay, do not wait – take action now. Whatever ideas you have to increase revenue, implement that new service or product, and get the word out.\n\n2. Attract New Clients\nWhen you create or enhance new products and/or services, you have the opportunity to attract new clients. It’s important to add or enhance at least one product or service each year tUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! 8 Tips to Help you Maintain Persistence and Increase Success
[[:encoded, "Today we are talking about 8 Tips to Help you Maintain Persistence and Increase Business Success.\n\nPersistence is the ability to continue to get up no matter how many times you’ve been knocked down. It requires will power, flexibility, strength of character, determination, and a desire to succeed at all costs. \n\nMost people believe Richard Wagner became a great composer because he was gifted. Not so.\n\nFrom a young age, Wagner liked the theater and music, but he disliked being on stage and was a slow learner at the piano. But his lack of talent was overcome by great persistence.\n\nAt the age of 15, Richard Wagner decided he wanted to be a composer, so he checked a book out of the library on the subject and memorized it.\n\nTo train his ear, he asked a violinist from the Leipzig Orchestra to teach him about keys and chords and learnt the technique of every orchestral instrument except the harp.\n\nAs well, he studied the works of Beethoven to understand how to capture sounds and interpret them as sheet music.\n\nBut Wagner’s early works were so bad he was jeered offstage. After one of his first performances, he was forced to escape by the rear doors to avoid an enraged audience.\n\nIn his persistence to hone his musicianship, he studied the works of Mozart and Bach line by line until he could construct a lyrical phrase.\n\nOver the next 5 years, Wagner continued to re-learn the basics, appearing as often as he could to showcase the music he’d written. Following literally hundreds of performances where he was jeered and heckled off stage, he gradually began to appreciate what sounds his audiences liked to hear and write his music accordingly.\n\nIf Wagner had not been determined to create music his audiences could appreciate, we would never have known some of the great masterpieces, such as “Flight of the Valkyries”.\n\nIf there was one common denominator that could be applied to successful people, it would be persistence. \n\nThe brilliant minds, the great achievers, the magnetic leaders of our generation and throughout history did not achieve their success at the start of their journey – they achieved it when their vision became reality.\n\nPersistence is about having a vision and working towards that goal. \n\nHowever, if you study the path most visionaries have taken to achieve their goals, you’ll discover that persistence lies in holding on to the vision, not on the path they chose to achieve their vision.\n\nPersistence without purpose is useUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! 7 Steps to Effective Communication that Produces Results
[[:encoded, "Communication is everything in business and in all of our relationships. Honestly, how else would people communicate? In order to enjoy an agreeable business and personal discussion, the communication level has to be excellent. How does one communicate effectively? Simply put, say what you mean, say it clearly, and say it with respect. Let’s explore 7 steps to effective communication that produces results.\n\nStep 1: Establish Trust\nSome people naturally distrust other people, because they do not know what the other one is thinking. Therefore, the sooner that you come out and say what you want, the sooner you can begin establishing trust. If you sense that someone is especially apprehensive, then you could go try and reassure him or her that you are not a threat. As you can guess, this doesn’t always work, so don’t waste time trying to change someone’s mind. Instead, continue being cordial and ethical and hope that your professionalism and consistency eventually wins them over – assuming you want to win them over. There are some people you may not want as clients or even associates. Trust is the single most important thing that has to happen for two people to do business together. The only proven trust building system for building high-trust client relationships on purpose that I know of was created by my husband, Bill Bachrach, and is for Financial Advisors (Values-Based Financial Planning and Values-Based Selling).\n\nStep 2: Speak Clearly and Concisely \nSpeaking clearly can sometimes be a problem since not everyone actually takes the time to improve in diction or word usage. For the best results, try practicing speaking in front of a mirror and recording yourself for playback. The last prerequisite is respect. Never disrespect someone that you just met. First impressions never really go away, so make an effort to present yourself as a confident and respectful business associate. If all you have to say is, “Blah,” don’t say “Blah, Blah.” \n\nStep 3: Recognize Problems in Communication\nWhat are some of the most common barriers in effective communication? For starters, there is language, or word usage. One cannot always assume that what sounds benevolent to you would strike others the same way. People can easily misinterpret or even distort a statement’s original meaning. It is wise to avoid saying anything questionable that might confuse a listener, or inadvertently provoke a negative reaction. Sarcasm and humor can also be diUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! How the Choices We Make Impact Our Life and Business
[[:encoded, "Today we are talking about How the Choices We Make Impact Our Life and Business Success.\n\nYou may have heard it said that it is the little things in life that are worth living for. Similarly, the little things in life are what change our lives for the better or worse. The choices we make in life define who we are and what we will eventually become. Certainly, making some rash decisions when we are young can have very ill consequences when we grow older. It is important that people maintain their health with a view to tomorrow, while balancing their desires for the present day. However, this advice also applies to a person’s heart and mind. When we take chances because of our passions or we take action because of our mind’s ambition, we have to live with the result of our actions—good and bad. \n\nKnowing this should impress upon us the importance of making somewhat informed decisions. Strong emotion should always be taken into account when making choices, but it cannot totally overpower logic and reason. There is something to be said about going with your “gut.” Sometimes we just don’t know enough to make a totally informed decision so going with your “gut” might play a role in your choice. If going with your “gut” never seems to get you the results you want, you may have to reconsider this strategy. Having a fine balance of both qualities is the best way to make careful decisions in life that you can live with now and tomorrow. That said no one is expected to make perfect decisions. They say hindsight is always 20/20 because sometimes we see things in retrospect that we were never capable of seeing years ago. Perhaps we have grown in our perspectives and our understandings of other people. More importantly, we have come to know ourselves.\n\nIn order to be happy in life people must learn to act wisely and to forgive the past. You should educate yourself to make prosperous decisions and to minimize unnecessary grief. Furthermore, learn to put the past behind you, forgiving yourself for mistakes, indiscretions and even for the conduct of others. This sounds simple enough but can be a real challenge for some people who have high standards or who have been hurt by others. Some people never let go of the past and choose to be bitter for the rest of their life. They may wonder “Why me?” or have a self-pitying attitude that says they could have been happy or successful “if…”\n\nThe truth of the matter is that a happy life is all about Unlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! Are Your Limiting Beliefs Stopping You from Achieving Goals?
[[:encoded, "To give you some insight about what this special guidebook, Are Your Limiting Beliefs Stopping You From Achieving Your Goals?, is about and why you want to read it.…I believe that, inherently speaking, there is nothing that you are not capable of accomplishing. The truth is there is no such thing as can't - you only think you can't. Success is not a special privilege handed out to a selected few; success comes to applying success-oriented beliefs. Transform limiting beliefs into success beliefs and you can achieve anything.\n\nSometimes people don't realize their limiting beliefs have created an obstacle that is stopping them from achieving their goals.\n\nFor example, let me tell you a quick story. \nDuring one of my coaching sessions with a client, I asked him about his success with obtaining referrals (which is a key to any business). He told me that he typically will receive two referrals per client. When I asked him why he thought he didn't receive more, he replied, I just can’t imagine obtaining more than two referrals per client because that is what I typically receive. Then I asked him if he expected and believed he would receive more than two referrals (something like 5, 8, 12 or 25), did he think he might actually receive more referrals? He hesitated for a minute and in an \"a-ha\" moment, said yes. He realized at that moment his limiting belief was holding him back from something more. As soon as he changed his limiting belief, he began experiencing a higher number of referrals from his clients. How are limiting beliefs affecting your success?\n\nWhen you let go of limiting beliefs, you gain the power to not only get around obstacles, but prevent your mind from creating them in the future. In this complimentary Special Guidebook, we explore 7 Success-Oriented Beliefs that will help you realize that you can do anything and any obstacles you face are only imaginary blocks created by your limiting beliefs.\n\nApply these 7 success-oriented beliefs to create a success driven business and life.\n\nDownload this complimentary guidebook, Are Limiting Beliefs Stopping You from Achieving Your Goals today and crush any limiting beliefs you have or don’t know you have. What is Procrastination Costing You in Your Business?
[[:encoded, "William James says, “Nothing is as fatiguing as the continued hanging on of an uncompleted task.”\n\nPoor follow through – consciously deciding to do something, but then not doing it for whatever reason – is a fact of life for many of us. Most people find that the gap between their intentions and their actions is too vast, and fall short of doing what is required to achieve their goals. \n\nThink about the promises you’ve made to yourself in the past. Of all the promises and commitments you have made to yourself, how many have you kept?\n\nPoor follow through is a fixture of modern life. Incredibly, most of us continue to believe that we will follow through “next time” rather than taking action to make our current goal a reality. \n\nThis phenomenon takes a toll on virtually every aspect of our life. Our lack of ability to commit to taking action prevents us from achieving personal, financial, relationship, and career goals that would otherwise be well within our reach.\n\nHave you ever considered the cost of poor follow through in your life? Think about a goal that you have failed to meet in the past. Was your failure to follow through a by-product of the fact that you were really okay with the way things were to begin with? Or does the poor follow through bother you? Does the knowledge that you didn’t follow through with your goals eat you up inside because you know you aren’t doing what you need to do to get the result you say you want?\n\nAs long as we continue to expect our “good” intentions to work the way they should instead of facing reality about the probability of following through, we’ll just keep repeating the same mistakes. \n\nWhen we rationalize with ourselves to avoid completing necessary tasks we are only holding ourselves back from getting what we desire. This is why the best performers and athletes have coaches. We are human. It’s okay. Get help!\n\nLet me share a story with you….\nIn November 1997, my husband, Bill, began training for the 1998 Hawaii Ironman Triathlon. The one-day event was scheduled for October 1998, leaving him with only 10 months to prepare for a 2.4 mile ocean swim, 112 mile bike ride, and a 26.2 mile marathon run. The only possible way to prepare for an event of this caliber in such a short time frame was to create a plan and stick with it, which Bill did.\n\nWell, at least for the most part. Swimming has never been his strong suit. Bill began training for the land events as planned. 4 Practical Steps to Conquer Fears and Increase Business
[[:encoded, "We’ve all been afraid to try something new at one time or another. Why is that? And it seems as we age, our fear controls more and more of our willingness to try something new. We prefer to forego a new experience because we want to avoid whatever bad thing we think could happen. Or maybe the anxiety is just too stressful for us to even contemplate facing our fears. Whatever the reason, we justify that trying something new is not worth the risk.\n\nMost of us learn to live within our comfort zone by default because we base our daily decisions on whether or not they cause feelings of anxiety. Every action we decide to take is based on whether it lands inside or outside our comfort zone. \n\nAs humans, most of us have the tendency to remain within the boundaries of our comfort zone, to avoid situations that cause feelings of anxiety and fear. And although it may feel like we are in control, we are actually out of control. When we live our life inside our comfort zone, we allow our fears to control our daily life. \n\nWhen we remain inside the boundaries of our comfort zone, we essentially stop growing and stop learning. Sure, you can choose to live the rest of your life in your comfort zone, but if you are unhappy with any aspect of your life, know that it will not change until you step outside your comfort zone. \n\nYour comfort zone is nothing more than an imaginary “safe zone.” This “safe zone” is nothing more than an imaginary area in which the mind has predetermined strategies to deal with circumstances that occur within those boundaries. In other words, your mind craves a controlled environment where it has a pre-determined set of actions to deal with a certain set of situations. \n\nWhen it has past experiences to refer to, it can recall the details of a past success and apply the success strategies to a present experience. This set of past successes is what creates a “safe zone.” The mind knows exactly what to do when faced with those situations without anxiety or fear. However, step outside your comfort zone and the mind suddenly has no past experience to calculate a strategy from - this is what causes feelings of anxiety and fear.\n\nFeelings of anxiety are often assumed as a “bad” sign, but that is not necessarily true. Obviously if you are faced with a life-threatening situation, then feelings of anxiety would be rational; but when faced with a non-life-threatening situation - exaggerated anxiety is not a rational response.Unlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! Optimize Effectiveness and Efficiency and Accelerate Results
[[:encoded, "Ask any successful business owner and they will tell you one of the number one rules to optimizing the success of a business starts with producing effective results with the greatest efficiency. This may not seem like a concern if you don’t own your own business, but even as an employee, or business professional, your success is riding on your ability to perform with the greatest effectiveness and efficiency.\n\nWhether you are an employee or business owner, it is your goal to be as effective as you can with the greatest efficiency. If you are an employee, the more effective and efficient you are, the greater asset you present to your employer. As a business owner, the more you can optimize these two factors, the greater return on investment you will realize in your business.\n\nSo, how do you improve your career or business by improving effectiveness and efficiency? Let's begin by reviewing the difference between the two terms: \n\nEffective - Producing a decided, decisive or desired effect. Effective emphasizes the actual production of or the power to produce an effect or result.\n\nEfficient - Acting or a potential for action or use in such a way as to avoid loss or waste of energy in effecting, producing or functioning.\n\nEffectiveness is the building block, while efficiency is the process of refinement. The better you become at effecting positive results with the greatest efficiency of effort, the bigger asset you become - and so does your business. \n\nOptimizing effectiveness and efficiency doesn’t have any relation to IQ or intelligence levels, it‘s really an awareness of your habits. It’s a delicate balance between effecting positive results with the least amount of energy expenditure. This essentially means that you expend the least amount of energy with the largest return - while effectively creating the desired result. \n\nTake Henry Ford for example, here is a man that was not well educated, but knew that in order to build a successful business he needed to be effective and efficient. Granted, Ford had other skills that contributed to his success, but he was obsessed with optimizing the effectiveness and efficiency of his assembly line in the interest of the success of his company. This obsession led to constant production procedure refinements that were unheard of at the time. \n\nFord understood that quality effectiveness and high efficiency were vital to building the best car with the least amount of wasted energy. How Committed Are You to Your Business Success?
[[:encoded, "Sure, many entrepreneurs say they are committed to their success, but are they really?\n\nWhen it comes to commitment to your success, there has to be a “no excuses - no exception” rule to back it up. This rule is especially true for entrepreneurs, simply because there is no one to point the finger at should things not work out as planned. As an entrepreneur, you are the one holding the key to your success and no one, but you, can be held accountable.\n\nOnce you make a commitment to something, there absolutely has to be a “no excuses - no exception” rule, because that is the only rule that separates the failures from the successes. \nImagine what would happen if you were to commit to your success only 99% of the time:\n\n- 1% percent of your clients would be unhappy with your product or service and proceed to tell 10 of their friends. Those people would proceed to tell their friends they had a friend that had a bad experience. This could translate into dozens of lost clients and thousands in lost revenue.\n\n- 1% of your printed marketing materials (or online marketing material) were published with spelling and grammar errors. This has a devastating effect on any business with a poor perception from the public and potential clients.\n\n- 1% of the time you don’t answer your email from a prospective client within 24 hours. You respond a few days later, but learn they have taken their business to someone who responded promptly.\n\nSee how much of a difference there is between 99% and 100% commitment? Although 1% doesn’t sound like much, reaching 100% commitment at every opportunity is not always easy. The only way to truly hold a reputation for commitment is by consistently demonstrating 100% to each and every task. Once genuine commitment is displayed, your success is inevitable.\n\nThere are two rules when it comes to your success, and a sure-fire way to catapult your success, but they only work when you are 100% committed!\n\nRule #1: 100% Commitment to Achieving your Goals \nThere may be many opportunities for excuses and exceptions, but under no circumstance do you waver from what you truly desire. Ever.\n\nWhat do you do if your life doesn’t support your goal achievement? In all honesty, there’s no easy way around it - some changes will have to be made. Sometimes those changes are easy, and other times they’re not, especially when there are others to consider. This is no more true when you have a spouse/significant other and/or chiUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! Honor Your Core Values and Increase Business Success
[[:encoded, "If you’re working too hard and still not generating the revenue you desire, you may not be honoring your core values. These core values, when sacrificed, create disharmony, frustration, and struggle in your life and business. Honor your core values and you create flow, ease and success. Know your core values and adjust your business model accordingly. The key here is to learn from other successful business people, but put your own spin on it. 5 Tips for Mastering Your Beliefs to Increase Your Success
[[:encoded, "If there is one thing that holds the most power over your success, you can bet that it comes down to your beliefs. Before you even have the opportunity to consciously process the reason behind your actions, and the results those actions put in play, your beliefs are at work determining whether you are headed toward success or disaster.\n\nThere are literally tens of thousands of actions you take daily (some consciously, most unconsciously), but do you know how those actions are affecting your success? You can probably think of at least one action that you have taken in the past that didn’t necessarily deliver the results you desired. With conscious awareness, you have the ability to examine and identify what went wrong, and what you could change to bring about a different result next time. This is an example of conscious awareness. \n\nBut what about all those times you make unconscious decisions that bring about undesired results. How do you stop them from occurring? Let’s explore 6 tips for helping you master your beliefs and head for success.\n\nTip #1\nYou are only as successful as your beliefs\nAre your beliefs supporting your success? The most definitive way to know whether your beliefs are leading to success or disaster is to examine what you say to yourself. Do you typically think to yourself that you will be successful or that there’s no use in trying, because it will never work. The nature of your belief system – positive or negative – will be the single greatest determining factor in your success, so you had better start thinking success. \n\nWhen the negative talk starts swirling in your head, just cancel it out – sweep it out – delete it. Focus on the positive (and what you really want) and remember that your success is completely dependent upon you and you alone. Although you can allow talk from those around you to negatively affect your progress, no one can prevent you from achieving your goals. The determining factor is always and only your ability to hold true to your belief in yourself. \n\nThere is always a way, so take a “no-excuses” approach to achieving your goals and you will achieve them. The way isn’t necessarily apparent, and if you feel like you’ve hit a roadblock - get creative. You’d be surprised how you can come up with some creative and effective solutions when you think outside the box. The idea is to maintain an element of creativity when coming up with solutions, so you are constantly expanding your bUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! 6 Tips for Gaining Even More Confidence and Increase Success
[[:encoded, "Becoming an entrepreneur can be one of the most unnerving ventures in your entire life. Just when you thought you knew it all, you find out you’re just a student trying to make the grade. So, what do you do when your confidence takes a hit? Follow these 6 tips we will be exploring for gaining even more confidence.\n\n1. Start with what you know\nIf you’re a new business owner, start with what you know. If you know your stuff, in and out, you’re bound to make a lasting impression with your clients and prospects. Create a specific outline to the benefits of your services or products, and then be sure to deliver what you’ve promised. Don’t worry about being the expert, just start with what you know because that’s where your greatest confidence lies.\n\n2. Have an insatiable thirst for knowledge\nYour business will not survive unless you continually learn, nor will your confidence grow. When you don’t learn new things, you cannot offer expanded products or service, and that is a death sentence to your business. The market and demand are constantly changing and if you don’t change with it, you’ll be left behind. The more you know the more benefits you can deliver to your clients. Keep learning and you’ll keep gaining confidence.\n\n3. Know your target audience\nMost entrepreneurs think they know what their clients need and want, but rarely do they truly understand how to market and deliver the right products and services to the right people. Invest in research so you have a full snapshot of your market. Without it, you can only hope for successful sales and business growth. Survey your clients and prospects to learn more about them. The more you know about them, the easier it will be to create products and services that deliver exactly what they’re looking for. Some resources for web surveys are surveymonkey.com, zoomerang.com, zohosurvey.com, surveygizmo.com, etc. Check out all the options and use the best one for your survey. \n\n4. Try something new every day\nWe all get used to routines, because we like to stay within our comfort zone. However, it’s staying within that comfort zone that keeps us from gaining confidence. Knowing what you know now will only get you so far – and I regret to point out, that is not very far. As an entrepreneur, you must constantly push yourself outside your comfort zone to learn and do more. This not only benefits you, but it also benefits your clients, which will only grow your business.\n\n“If comfort iUnlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! 10 Tips to Help You Break Bad Habits
[[:encoded, "Samuel Johnson said: The chains of habit are generally too small to be felt until they are too strong to be broken. \n\nBad habits can be difficult to break. Bad habits are a repetitive form of behavior that becomes so enmeshed in your psyche, they quickly become instinctual and involuntary.\n\nEach year people spend thousands of hours and dollars attempting to break free of a pattern of bad behavior, but the majority fails.\n\nWhy?\n\nBecause there is no magical solution. Breaking a bad habit typically requires hard work and there are no shortcuts.\n\nTo effectively change a bad habit, you need to firstly recognize that the habit exists, and then make a conscious decision to overcome it.\n\nPain vs Gain\nThe most critical exercise in beginning the process of breaking a bad habit is looking at what is the payoff and what is the cost?\n\nLet’s look at alcohol abuse: ask yourself “what do I gain by having 5 or 6 drinks every night when I get home from work?” Of course, the answer is easy.\n\nFor you it might be, “A drink or two relaxes me”, “I have time to think about the day’s events”, or “I can forget about the stresses of the day”. \n\nThen you must honestly answer the question: “But what is it costing me?”\n\nThe answer may be less time with your spouse and family, a monumental hangover in the morning, alcohol may make you cranky and moody, or in a worse-case scenario, you may become abusive and hostile. What is it doing to our organs and you physically that you won’t realize until years later? \n\nOnce you’ve assessed the positive and negative impact the bad habit plays in your life, it’s time to begin an action plan to break the habit.\n\nHere is a Suggested Action Plan for You to Consider\n\n1.\tAffirm Your Conviction\nIf you don’t consider the price you pay for repeating the bad habit worthwhile, then it’s likely you won’t break the habit.\n\nBe honest with yourself and take into account not only how the habit impacts on your life, but also how it impacts those around you.\n\nMake a decisive choice to become a better human being by breaking the repetitive behavior.\n\n2.\tFocus on the Benefits\nMake a list of all the positive changes that will occur once you have broken the bad habit. Include the improved health factors, the opportunity to improve your personal relationships, or the emotional benefits.\n\nRefer to this list every time you believe your resolve is under threat.\n\n3.\tTake Action\nThe time to start your new behavioral pattern is Unlock a blueprint to creating and having your ideal business and ideal life by scheduling your free consultation with me today! Persistence: The Commonality of Successful Business People
[[:encoded, "Look upon history, and you’ll find that the notable quality that exists in all champions is persistence.\n\nThe path you walk will not always be easy, but you have to continue to persist. Even in the face of seemingly overwhelming odds, you must keep putting one foot in front of the other, because there are lessons to be learned along the way, all of which will support your success.\n\nWhenever you confront an obstacle or roadblock, step back and emotionally detach yourself from the situation. It’s much easier to think of ways to go around, under or over the obstacle when you let go of the frustration. This may take some practice, but try this exercise: imagine a friend is the one facing the challenge(s), and you are simply providing ideas how to help them overcome the obstacle. When you are solution-oriented, you focus on the possibilities, not the impossibilities.\n\nIn truth, nothing is impossible, and change is inevitable. Knowing this, you can take persistent steps in faith, with the wisdom that nothing stays the same, and at some time in the future your current obstacles will dissolve.\n\nHere are some quick facts about persistence.\n\n It took approximately 10,000 experiments before Thomas Edison successfully invented the light bulb. What does he have to say about persistence? “Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.”\n\n Long before becoming the lead singer of REO Speedwagon, Kevin Cronin, was determined to make it big. At a young age, he went to go see an influential music producer, only to get turned away. Kevin was so confident in his talent that he didn’t let that producer’s rejection get to him for one second. In fact, he was convinced that the producer’s tape player must not have been working properly, because if it had, the producer would have recognized Kevin’s talents immediately. He kept pursuing his passion and eventually landed with REO Speedwagon, bringing the band into the mainstream music scene. Over the years, they’ve sold more than 40 million records and charted 13 Top 40 hits.\n\n When 19-year-old Rick Little wanted to start a program in high schools that would teach kids how to deal with their feelings, handle conflict, clarify life goals, and communicate effectively, he was turned down by more than 155 organizations. The Top 4 Effective Actions of Successful Entrepreneurs
[[:encoded, "As a business owner, it’s imperative you focus your energy on completing actions that drive your success. When you spend your workday procrastinating or refusing to delegate low-priority tasks, you are losing money as well as preventing your business from growing. \n\nUnderstand What Your Time Worth\nWhat do you consider to be valuable tasks for your business? How about building your client base, completing client projects, and/or promoting your business? These are all important factors and you should be focusing all of your energy into fulfilling these tasks in the most efficient and effective manner possible. Completing these tasks will lead to increased revenue, satisfied clients, and attract the attention of more clients. Actions that increase your profits substantially are inarguably effective actions that drive your success. \n\nIf you’re currently a one-person show, completing all of these tasks on your own is not practical. If you also take care of administrative tasks such as answering phones, replying to emails and bookkeeping, you are seriously hindering the growth of your business. Individually, these tasks may seem like quick and simple tasks to accomplish, but if you take a step back and look at the big picture, you’ll discover that these “quick and simple” tasks actually eat up countless hours of your time, decreasing your productivity - and success. You probably already knew this.\n\nThe logical answer is to hire an assistant. Your time is a limited and valuable resource; do yourself and your business a favor by delegating administrative tasks to an assistant. As a business coach, this is one of the most valuable tips for being more successful I share with my clients. If you work from home and don’t have space where an assistant can work, don’t worry. There are thousands of qualified and experienced virtual assistants that are willing and happy to work remotely. You can search through a database of freelance virtual assistants through websites like Upwork.com, Guru.com, and TheVirtualGurus.com. \n\nLearn from the Masters\nBy emulating the actions that drive success used by other successful business owners and entrepreneurs, you’ll save yourself a lot of headaches and growing pains. 11 Guidelines for Staying Laser Focused and Increase Success
[[:encoded, "If asked, what is the one defining quality that sets great leaders apart from their wannabe counterparts, it would have to be their ability to maintain focus on the important issues.\n\nSure, once behind closed doors, even the most successful leaders probably have moments of indecision, procrastination, and uncertainty, but even the sharpest minds need to take a break occasionally.\n\nFor the majority of us, the power to focus on one task at a time and see it through to completion is not an innate gift. Focus is a learned response, so if we want to achieve the professional, personal and social goals we imagine, we have to first learn how to focus on what we want.\n\nWe now live in a frenetic, activity-filled, multi-tasking, instant gratification society, so it is easy to get lost in the distractions that bombard us from every angle. \n\nHow many times have you found yourself on the phone talking to a client, while reading your emails, hitting the “Reply” button and then typing out a response? Where is your focus while you are completing a number of individual tasks at the same time?\n\nFocus requires that we learn to differentiate between the “urgent” and the “important” tasks. Urgent tasks are distractions that cause us, subconsciously, to put off or delay the important projects. And it’s the important tasks that lead us to our objectives and goals.\n\nResponding to urgent emails, answering the phone, or checking your text messages can all be categorized as urgent tasks.
