For the next 4 weeks, I'll be covering what to do when you are in charge of marketing. Also, the next steps to take to become a great digital marketer for your practice. In today's episode, I will be giving an overview of what you can expect to learn and what I will be cover in this 4 part series. The first thing you want to start off with is having someone who is genuinely interested in marketing to run your practice's marketing or else you could possibly not get the results you want. The first 3 things you need to do before you get started Inventory- Take an inventory of your site. Make sure your site is easy to navigate, functional and works effectively. Which automations you have, what are your current limitations , and assess the kinds and amount of content you have. While taking inventory you want to figure out all the basic data of who is coming in, what are you putting out, and where you are already in your veterinary practices marketing. Plan- Planning out your next steps for your content and offers is very important as it keeps on track with your marketing goals you have in place. Plan both your offers and content around your client avatar to make sure you are targeting exactly the kind of clients you want coming into your veterinary practice. In today's episode, I share with you 5 Practical Tips you should use when business starts to slow down in your veterinary practice. The 5 things I would suggest doing are 1) Running Paid Ads The absolute first thing I would suggest doing is to run paid ads for your veterinary practice. Episode 180: Making Your Practices Ads More Effective While Keeping Ad Cost Down.
In Todays Podcast Episode I talk about how to drive your ad cost down and how to ultimately make your veterinary practices marketing and ads more effective. As we are starting to go into the holiday season here we are starting to see seasonal and competition changes coming up, making keeping your ads cost down even more important. These tips I will be sharing in this episode will help you have a great framework for your paid ads and get better cost per results and cost per action. The 3 Things you can do to help lower your ads costs and make your ads more effective are: 1)Having high-quality pieces of content you can mix in along with other content and offers. Like with every piece of content or offer set aside some time to really think about who your client avatar is and who you want to target with your content or offer. Put ads out with intention, think of who your client is, what do they want or need, and why do they need it. Also, think about having a few to up to 12 pieces of pillar content that you can rotate throughout the year. Typically having higher quality content will make for lower cost engagements. 2)Have a great responsive website. Make sure your website is nice looking, easy to use and understand, and has all of your information easy to see. The less time your clients have to take to find your number, address, or hours the better. 3)Build out micro-segments Retargeting a very small niched audience that is specific to the piece of content or offer will also help drive down your ad cost Be sure to listen and let me know if you have any questions, comments or need help with anything!

Episode :179 Could Facebook Ads New Updates Change Your Marketing?
If you have been Facebook Ads manager for some time you probably have seen that ads manager looks different lately. In today's episode, I talk about the newest updates to facebook ads and what exactly is conversion budget optimization? I also talk about a lot of the new automation tools now available and who and what they are built for and how you can use them. so many new changes and tools are coming to Facebook that it's exciting but it can also be a little complicated getting used to the new feature. As I cover the new updates from facebook ads I want to talk about automation and should you be using it, Using CBO ( conversion budget optimization), and whether you should be using the new tools that have become available with the updates from not only facebook ads but also google ads? The biggest new update to facebook ads was the addition of Conversion Budget Optimization. What Conversion Budget Optimization does is it will automatically spend your ad set to optimize for specific conversion events based on the performance of the ads you are running. Conversion budget optimization can only run with a conversion event so be sure if you are using conversion budget optimization that you have conversion pixels installed. Conversion budget optimization campaigns are now becoming the default and have been toggled on automatically. if you would like to run your campaigns without Conversion budget optimization be sure to run at least one ad campaign without CBO to opt-out of Conversion budget optimization becoming your permanent default come February 2020. The new tools and features are here to help your marketing but always be sure you are tracking and measuring your data to make sure your marketing is performing well. In today's episode, I talk about how to use micro-targeting in your practice's marketing to help with your ad expense. Micro-targeting makes your marketing more effective and helps you have lower cost. Ad tools on facebook, Instagram and Google ads are amazing in that they have options where you can target micro-groups or small niches of groups so you can make extremely relevant content for these groups. a few things to always keep in mind with ads are: 1) who are you trying to target with your offer? 2) What are they looking for or in need for? 3) what kind of offer do you have that are beneficial to these kinds of groups? Be aware that the more competition the higher ad cost becomes in Facebook and Instagram. In the holiday and election sesons cost for ads are going to rise. To stand out on facebook and instagram you have to be extremely relevant in the types of content you are putting out. You will also want to make your offers more attractive and enticing to drive clients to your practice. For google ads the cost to run ads there is lower, therefore, you have more options. Retargeting clients that didn't take you up on a special offer but were interested Visitation recency- remind clients that its time to come in again as its been 6 or more months Microcontent - A piece of content that is specifically targeted to a very small niche group of people If you would like to learn even more about paid ads join me on October 9th for a special webinar all about paid ads for your veterinary practices digital marketing. Get creative with your offers to get people through the doors of your practice. 5 different strategies to use depending on your end goal: 1)Direct to services with your different audiences 2) Create content and send it out for cold traffic use content to build an audience that is going to want your services. Episode 176: Using Laser Targeted Segmented Lists To Increase Revenue and Conversion In Your Practice
In Todays Episode I cover how to use ultra segmented targeted list inside your veterinary practice to help grow your business through very pinpointed targeted marketing. I also talk about how using these segmented lists can actually be very helpful to increase conversion and in turn, increase your revenue in your veterinary practice. Keeping track and tracking clients and people coming into your practice and have been presented or offered a specific procedure, service, exam, or product but have not taken you up on your offer can be extremely useful data to input into your retargeting lists. Figure out what you can do to help improve client conversion and compliance. Using special offers that call to clients that have been offered this before in every possible medium whether it be direct mail, email marketing, telemarketing or even text message marketing can increase your conversion rates. Think of this method as the cart abandoned method remind your clients about offers and services they were interested in but didn't act on and show them their offer just for them. Custom and personalized ways to let your clients know about such offers will have better conversion rates such as handwritten letters or even personalized video messages that are sent directly to clients using an app called Bonjoro. Having automated segmented emails is also very effective. Two things to help you with your segmented marketing: 1) If you can create an offer that is laser targeted to your specific client and take it one step further and personalized you can increase client compliancy 2) Having your lists (email, phone, and mailing) segmented so you know exactly who you are communicating with and what you are communicating about, and how to create them a specific offer. In today's episode, I talk about how to really identify the aspects of your business and which offers you should be focusing on to try and drive new clients to your veterinary practice. When creating content for your veterinary practice you are going to want to create and have content about topics that relevant to what people in the industry are talking about or what clients and customers are concerned or curious about. Create content about hot topics at the moment that gives your clients information about topics that are important to them. Now, what should you be creating content around? what kind of offers should you be promoting? and how do you monetize your content? You ultimately want to create content that lets you attract and engage with clients so you can create ROI through your content. Your content needs to built and centered around a specific offer so you can retarget people that are specifically interested in that topic and offer. Ask yourself how can you develop something different to separate yourself from other veterinary practices in the crowd or even pet stores or online stores and how you can make your offer more effective? think about what makes your practice different from everyone else and what sets you apart. Using your knowledge and share that with your clients. Also, package your offers in a way that is extremely valuable to your customers. Episode 173: 3 Crucial Paid Ads Campaign Elements You Need to Have Squared Away Before You Start Running Ads
Before you get started running ads for your veterinary practices digital marketing their are 3 things you should know. In today's episode, I cover the 3 campaign elements you need to have set up, squared away, and understood before you begin running ads You have a much higher chance for success for paid promotions anywhere for digital marketing. Having the correct settings and having your prework setup is extremely important for your practice's marketing. The 3 campaign elements to have set up are : Turn off automatic placements- Automatic placements while they sound like a good thing they aren't. Facebook Instagram and google all have an automatic placement option for paid ads. Using automatic placements can actually hinder your ads and make them not perform aa well as they should. Placements to avoid are the right side desktop,mid-roll video ads, and instant experiences. I suggest creating ads for specific placements and creating a few different variations. Conversion objectives- Across every single ad platform, you need to know what the end goal of your ads are. Having conversion objectives set up will help give facebook enough data so they can understand who the ideal profile is of the potential clients. Test different conversions and track them properly with pixels. Conversions I like to use are clicks, landing page views, complete registration, and purchase conversions. and lastly Understanding your call to action-Choose one call to action and make it very clear what you are asking viewers and potential clients to do. Pick one main objective of your ad you want to achieve, focus on that one specific objective, have the call to action correspond to it, and make it very clear. Be sure to listen and let me know if you have any questions, comments or need help with anything!

For starters, you should be minimum on both facebook and Instagram and be running ads. As well as have your prework setup for your ads, make sure funnels are set up and you have content that is being produced and posted regularly. In Today's episode, I share a few tricks to use to get your veterinary practices digital marketing more attention and help your digital marketing stand out to your audiences. I will also be sharing with you how you can get your content and offers more attention because let's be honest, your offers and content can only work so much if they aren't getting enough attention. A few things to try to increase the attention your digital marketing is getting is to: Copy, Improve, Implement. Take past content or even past offers and copy the structure of it but improve the offer or content idea and then implement it in your marketing Be Unexpected Rule #1 don't be boring! Boring content does not get attention. Being unexpected in a fun way will attract more attention to your content Brainstorm Come up with at least 10 new ideas for content even if they are crazy because there might be a few that are just crazy enough that will work. Make Your Marketing be about the clients Try to focus your marketing on the clients and your audience, what's in for them to come to your practice and why do they need this special offer in their lives? Getting Straight to the point with your content Too many times people get wrapped up in blog post of videos being a certain length to help with algorithms that they often add unnecessary fluff to their content. The best way to have your content do better is to get straight to the point and not adding extra filler to your content Get an emotional response to your content Getting an emotional response can be anything from happy, funny, sad, anxiety or even angry. Evoke emotions by targeting issues that need to be addressed or even common client pain points Be Authentic Being yourself and talking about things you are passionate about is the best for content for people to relate to you and actually be interested in your content. and Curiosity Everyone is curious and everyone wants to be in the know, use that to your advantage. I'll cover how to make your offer compelling to have higher conversion rates, why offers are important, and how to help improve your offers. Offers are promises you are making to your clients to provide value into their lives. In your offer, you should be showing your clients their before state and how your offer is going to help go to their after state. Tap into the emotions of why your potential clients need this offer in their lives to make things easier or better for them. Terms on offers should be both simple and easy to understand and be simply conveyed. Making terms too difficult and too hard to work around will drive clients away. Call to Actions should also be simple and easy for clients to accept the offer, no jumping through hoops. Choose an easy method to claim your offer. Make the call to action clear and visible in multiple places. Give your clients the who, what, when, where, why, and how of the offer. An important thing to add to your offers landing pages are reviews from your actual clients right in front of their eyes. Reviews help bring logic into an emotional decision by helping justify our decisions. Show potential clients that you are trusted by many and good at what you do. Episode 163: The 3 Biggest Problems Veterinary Digital Marketers Face.
In Todays Podcast episode I share with you what are the 3 most common problems I see veterinary digital marketers face and how to overcome them. I'll cover how to measure ROI, how to measure the effectiveness of your marketing, and how to overcome difficulties with content creation. Many veterinary practice marketers will tell me these 3 things very commonly and ask what and how they can fix in their marketing. The Most common things veterinary digital marketers will tell me is: 1. ________ isn't working. This is a fill in the blanks kind of statement. many times I have been told "this isn't working" "Instagram doesn't work" or even " this strategy doesn't work" when in reality these methods do work they just need some fine tuning to work properly for each practice. Really think and take a look at you offer or ad, is it clear what you are offering, what is the objective of your marketing, and what is the main goal? 2. I have no time to create content. This another one I hear a lot! Providing content is not only beneficial for your practice but also for clients and customers. content builds communication with your clients where they get the opportunity to get to know, like, and trust you. An amazing idea to use for content is to turn your frequently asked questions or commonly asked about topics into pieces of content that you can use and refer too to help educate your clients. 3. How can I tell what is actually working? Now, this is a valuable question to ask because you don't want to be wasting both time and money on marketing that isn't working. The best way to be able to tell if your marketing is working is to track, measure and monitor your conversions. Again also ask what is the purpose of your marketing, does your ad stand out and draw attention, and is your call to action clear? Be sure to listen and let me know if you have any questions, comments or need help with anything!

Episode 162: Streamlining Marketing Tips For The Time Crunched Veterinary Digital Marketer
Do you ever wish there were more hours in the day or days in the week? I get it! you're a busy professional in your veterinary practice that is crunched for time. In this week's podcast, I share some tips, tricks, and tools that can help you streamline your practices digital marketing. I cover what and how you should be automating, what and how you should be scheduling, tools to use to make your life easier, and what you should never automate. Automation is a huge time saver that will ultimately, in the long run, save you tons of time and money! when using automation you should automate tasks that take up too much of your time frequently or even tasks you dread to do. Emails - In your CRM automate marketing sequences such as email campaigns for special offers, events, and monthly awareness. Chat Bots - Setup automated responses chatbots in facebook messenger to engage and help existing and new clients. Frequently Asked Questions - Create content that focuses and centers around commonly asked questions for new clients and even existing clients to help ease any confusion with anything they may be concerned about. Onboarding and Follow Up Sequences - with whatever medium you chose to use you send out important parts of information to your clients. Scheduling is your next step to streamlining your marketing you should be scheduling both content production and when to put out content. Tools to use to schedule out your content that I recommend to use are Hootsuite, MeetEdgar, and AgoraPulse.Creating a content silo that is filled with all your content that you have to put out across platforms will be able to save you so much time. Now while there are a ton of great thing you can automate and schedule there are just 2 things you should never automate! Comment and reviews and Customer service help, you should be monitoring and responding to all of these things personally to ensure your practice's marketing maintains the human touch.
