She talks about how she and her four kids were renting a three bedroom home that gave them no privacy; her two girls shared a room, her two boys shared a room, and her bedroom connected to the bathroom that connected to the boys' room. Now, she owns a home with a bedroom for everyone, and the kids are excited about getting to make their bedrooms their own, always asking her when they can paint their walls. She discusses how she loves that she is able to create a foundation for her kids now, where they can feel they have a home, and later when they have their own kids, they will have a place to bring them back to.

She shares how the house they were renting through Section 8 housing was just two small for her whole family, and after a job change, she and her husband became interested in buying their own home. With Michael's knowledge, they were able to buy a great home with a basement her husband enjoys and a huge master bedroom that she enjoys.

Brandie bought a home with stairs in 2019, but after getting guardianship of her grandmother who couldn't go up stairs, she needed to find a home that would accommodate her grandmother. She was able to sell her home for a profit after owning it for just over a year, and started building the perfect home for herself in the process. As someone who works in healthcare, she talks about how nurses being in higher demand helped her generate even more income this year that helped her with her down payment on her new home.
