S1 Ep 684685 How to manage anxiety, burnout, and overwhelm

“A dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination, and hard work.”- Colin Powell Have you ever felt that you didn’t have enough time in the day? I know I have. To make our dreams a reality, it takes consistency over years. It doesn’t happen magically because we think about it. But when that consistency piles up into anxiety, burnout and overwhelm - we have to manage it so that it doesn’t rob us from our joy and happiness. I want to give you a solution to set yourself up so you don’t collapse from exhaustion. Believe it or not, there’s a lot of little tricks you can to to really help that won’t side track your day. For example, make your bed in the mornings. You spend about one third of your life in bed. Taking an extra couple of minute to make your bed will subconsciously show that you respect yourself. It also gives your mind a moment to think of something else, like a forced meditation that can allow your mind a moment to reset let go of any other distractions in your life. In this episode of The School Of Greatness, I talk about a number of key lessons I’ve learned over the years to manage anxiety, burnout and overwhelm. It’s important to enjoy the ride and appreciate the challenge- otherwise, what is it all for? Find out how you can be a more present, joyful and kind person on Episode 685. In This Episode You Will Learn: The four phases to manage anxiety, burnout, and overwhelm (8:32) How to reconnect to your “why” (9:25) Daily anchors to keep you grounded (12:05) Ways to build momentum early in your day to set you up for success (13:39) How to celebrate your wins and live in gratitude (22:14) The importance of unplugging (23:37) The key to ending your day in a way that will manage stress (26:01) Get more from Lewis! Get my New York Times Bestselling book, Make Money Easy!Get The Greatness Mindset audiobook on SpotifyText Lewis AIYouTubeInstagramWebsiteTiktokFacebookX Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. S1 Ep 683684 Love Yourself First with Tracy McMillan

“THE MOST IMPORTANT RELATIONSHIP YOU CAN HAVE IS WITH YOURSELF." Sometimes, we repeatedly attract the same kind of person into our life who does more harm than good. When we see this type of harmful pattern, we have to ask ourselves, “What is it about about me that is attracting someone like that?” You can continue to blame others for your relationship woes, or you can start to look within yourself. On this episode of Five Minute Friday, I wanted to revisit a conversation I had with Tracy McMillan where she explains the importance of loving yourself. Tracy has a fascinating history and background, including 16 years in a TV newsroom, writing the 4th most viewed article on Huffington Post, and being a dating coach on a TV Show. But beyond that, Tracy came from a really tough background and has used her life experiences as the base for all of her perspectives and wisdom. No matter what your relationships look like right now, I’m excited for you to hear Tracy’s wisdom on Episode 684. S1 Ep 680681 Calm Your Mind with Andy Puddicombe

PUSHING AGAINST A SITUATION WILL CAUSE IT TO OWN YOU. In today’s world, it’s easy to get swept into other people’s emotions. Social media, news, and even just a hectic lifestyle can make it challenging to ever feel at peace. But it’s something you need to concentrate on. When your mind is always cluttered, it’s difficult to make the right decisions. Opportunities became unclear, unfocused. I’m sure you’ve heard taking time to meditate is important for you. And sure, for those 5 or 10 minutes you may feel like your mind is clear. Then what? Meditation should go well beyond a specific time frame. It’s a practice that should be implemented throughout your day, especially when you feel a flood of emotions or thoughts. Calming your mind is a skill you need to develop and use all throughout the day - everyday. Knowing that things are often more drastic in your mind than in reality. That some things happening to you are meant to be and our resistance only makes them worse. To go deeper into what I mean, and the importance of keeping your mind calm, I’ve brought back this clip from Andy Puddicombe. If you aren’t familiar with Andy, he’s a truly unique individual. Not only did he spend time living with monks, but he studied at the Moscow State Circus and got a degree in circus arts. “NO ONE FEELS 100% CONFIDENT IN THEMSELVES ALL THE TIME.” - EMILY SKYE There’s so many times where we focus on what society tells us will make us happy, and that’s all we chase. Money, a nice car, a house, and material objects that show off our “success." We always end up overlooking ourselves. You avoid exercising until the doctor says you have to. I’m sure you’ve experienced it plenty. You ignore your stress at work until you just can’t take it anymore. Ultimately your emotional state should take a priority. Without it, you can’t be at your best. At the end of the day, happiness is an emotional. All of the material items in the world can’t get you there. That’s why I wanted to do a mashup this week on overcoming emotional obstacles from some of the masters: Emily Skye, Josh Shipp, Rupi Kaur and Joshua Millburn. On this episode you’ll learn how to overcome emotional barriers that continue to hold us back. If you take these lessons from people who have come from all walks of life you’ll be able to achieve your true destiny. Please, sit down with this one and take notes. I know it’s going to help you tremendously. So learn how to keep your emotions in line to nail your goals, and feel fulfilled, on Episode 671. Some Questions I Ask: Do you still go through times of being insecure? (5:40) Why do you get insecure at times? (6:32) If something isn’t working in your business, how do you handle the inner critic? (10:26) How old were you (Shipp) when you met your final foster parents? (15:56) Do you (Rupi) think your work would be as powerful without going through pain and suffering? (19:43) In This Episode You Will Learn: What everyone needs to be responsible for (5:04) Tools you can use to overcome insecurities (7:48) How Emily stays grounded when things are going well (11:38) How Josh Shipp was emotionally removed from people who were trying to help him (14:02) Shipp’s lesson from a night in jail as a teenager (16:38) The danger of being your own worst enemy (18:41) How Rupi continues to create new things (21:03) What you need to focus on (22:34) How Joshua Millburn knows what needs to be fixed (25:17) Get more from Lewis! Get my New York Times Bestselling book, Make Money Easy!Get The Greatness Mindset audiobook on SpotifyText Lewis AIYouTubeInstagramWebsiteTiktokFacebookX Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. S1 Ep 668670 Building an Influential Personal Brand with Rory Vaden

"LACK OF REVENUE IS NOT YOUR GREATEST PROBLEM; A LACK OF REPUTATION IS." - RORY VADEN There is something incredibly important in life that I don't hear enough people talking about. It's called your personal brand and it goes far beyond your career. I started learning about personal branding over 10 years ago when I got into the entrepreneurial world. I noticed a big difference between some people's brands and others. So I started taking notes. Today, I credit a huge part of my success, both personally and professionally, to the personal brand I've created. It's my reputation and much more. There's no one I trust more to teach on this topic than my good friend Rory Vaden. Rory and I met years ago and would meet up every once in a while at different events. But it wasn't until I felt the need to call him a couple of months ago that I truly learned about Rory's genius. I was feeling a little uneasy about what to do next with my personal brand and business. I knew I needed to get an outside set of expert eyes on it. So I called Rory out of the blue and asked if I could come meet him to talk about it. Rory not only gave me two days of his time and hosted me at his house, he gave me such valuable insight into my business and brand that I am shifting my entire focus as a result. I want to share this same information and insight with as many people as possible, so Rory flew out to record a podcast episode all about how he thinks about branding (and what he helps his clients do). He even offered free brand strategy calls to any School of Greatness podcast listeners if you are interested in becoming an influential personal brand. This conversation is a goldmine, and I can't wait for you to take tons of notes on it in Episode 670. In this episode you will learn: What reputation actually is (Rory's definition) Why a lack of revenue is not your greatest problem Rory's reputation formula to create rock solid results How to become unstoppable through your branding What your brand DNA is made of How to know if a decision is aligned with your ethics What one of the biggest lures of compromise is The DARES test to put all your business ideas through How to figure out the actual business you are in Plus much more... S1 Ep 667669 Respect Your Priorities with Michael Hyatt

“WHEN WE HAVE PRIORITIES WE CAN DISTINGUISH BETWEEN THE URGENT AND THE IMPORTANT.” A lot of times in life we do what we feel is urgent. We will go so far as to put off what we really need to do in order to take care of urgent things. Often we even put it ahead of taking care of ourselves. It’s really unfortunate because if you don’t take care of yourself you can’t take care of the urgent. You can’t work from a hospital bed. That’s why you need to have priorities. Priorities will guide you in life’s decisions and keep you on track. Most importantly, priorities will give you the confidence to say no. They help you identify what’s truly needed in your life, versus what someone else feels is important. On this episode of 5 Minute Friday, I wanted to dive into the importance of setting priorities and sticking to them. There’s no one I know who practices this better than Michael Hyatt. Michael is a social media marketing wizard and has worked for one of the biggest publishing companies. Learn his insights on staying true to what’s necessary, on Episode 669. In This Episode You Will Learn: The essence of leadership (00:55) How Michael discovered his priorities (1:38) What gave Michael clarity (3:20) The difference between urgent and important (4:11) Get more from Lewis! Get my New York Times Bestselling book, Make Money Easy!Get The Greatness Mindset audiobook on SpotifyText Lewis AIYouTubeInstagramWebsiteTiktokFacebookX Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. S1 Ep 666668 Unlocking Creativity and Your Personal Genius

“It’s what you do with the tools, not what the tools are themselves” - Casey Neistat How many times do you try to look for success and fulfillment through logic? You might be looking too hard and in the wrong direction. Creativity is the key to unlocking your dreams and vision for the future. If you can unlock that creative mindset, you’ll be set for life. Machines and computers can do logical tasks and hard work, but they’ll never be able to be creative. That’s something only a person can do. Some people find their creative passions easily, while others feel a struggle. If you’re one who struggles, don’t worry -- finding your unique passions aren’t as hard as you might think. The key is to let go of your feeling of judgment. Let your mind relax and think about what made you weird or unusual as a child. Those fun oddities are what will make you something big today. To go more into unlocking your creativity, I wanted to bring you back past episodes from Chase Jarvis, Casey Neistat, Manoush Zomorodi, and Liz Gilbert. Continuing my mashup series, I felt it was important to bring you the masters of creativity. These conversations have helped me unlock my passions to new levels and I know they will help you too. No matter where your creativity lies, if it’s in writing, creating content on YouTube, or still something you are trying to discover, this episode will bring you valuable insights. Don’t forget to take these lessons and practice them any chance you get. Knowledge is only useful when it’s applied to your life. So learn all about unlocking and mastering your creative side, on Episode 668. In This Episode You Will Learn: What makes you great (4:35) How insecurity helps success (6:26) The relationship between an audience and content (8:39) How to learn about new media and YouTube (10:05) The key to creating successful content on YouTube (12:22) The problems our world faces right now and how to fix them (15:11) How to be creative with an impossible schedule (16:24) The ways mother nature will heal your mind (18:24) Jackhammers and hummingbirds (21:28) Why you need to follow your curiosity (25:46) Plus much, much more Get more from Lewis! Get my New York Times Bestselling book, Make Money Easy!Get The Greatness Mindset audiobook on SpotifyText Lewis AIYouTubeInstagramWebsiteTiktokFacebookX Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. S1 Ep 665667 The Power of Innovation (Coffee Conversation)

“THE KEY IS TO ASSESS WHAT IS AND WHAT ISN'T WORKING IN YOUR LIFE.” Cesar is a recent father and has been by my side pretty much since the beginning. He’s been the business side of my company, helping me push things forward and helping to reign me in when things aren’t working. For this episode, we discuss exactly how you can develop on innovative mindset -- what you need to focus on, and not focus on, to see your business and relationships move forward. If you’re not innovating, you’re standing still. When you stand still the world is leaving you behind. Innovation isn’t about being better than your competition or reacting to what what’s happening around you. Innovation happens before you need to react. Learn how you can be more innovative in all areas of your life, on Episode 667. S1 Ep 664666 Become Emotionally Fit with Natalie Jill

ADDITION IS MORE POWERFUL THAN SUBTRACTION. You’ll hear from a lot of people that if you want to succeed at something you need to cut out all of the bad. This may be in your business, your personal life, or even in your health. In reality, that’s not always the easiest thing to do. How many time have you had your heart broken and find yourself going through your ex’s Instagram posts to see what they are doing? Sure, it would be nice to cut it out - but for some reason you just can’t. The key is not to subtract these things from your life, but to add more positive things. When you do this, you won’t have the time to let bad things into your life. For example, if you are at a restaurant and you sit down at the table you may be eyeing the dessert menu. Maybe that chocolate cheesecake sounds so good. When you order your meal you start with a salad, then order a healthy plate with a lot of vegetables. When you’re finished eating, you’re so full you don’t even want that cheesecake anymore. Apply that same principle into your life. Fill it with positivity in every area of your life and the bad will weed itself out over time. To dive deeper into this subject, I wanted to bring you back an older episode from Natalie Jill. Natalie is an inspiration to everyone. She wasn’t born with a silver spoon in her mouth, and at one point lost everything she had worked for. Since then she’s gained it all back and more. She sat down and gave insights on how she is able to continually build on her success, and how anyone can achieve their goals. So learn how you can make your dreams come true through abundance instead of deprivation, on Episode 666. In This Episode You Will Learn: What you should think about in fitness (00:54) How to improve your emotional health (1:39) What feeds into negativity (2:53) What Natalie wants to be known for (3:42) Get more from Lewis! Get my New York Times Bestselling book, Make Money Easy!Get The Greatness Mindset audiobook on SpotifyText Lewis AIYouTubeInstagramWebsiteTiktokFacebookX Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. S1 Ep 663665 Jordan Peterson on Pain and Suffering

“When you love someone, you not only love them despite their fragility: but also because of it.” One of the hardest things you have to deal with in life is watching someone close to you suffer from an illness. Especially if you’re a parent. Although I’ve never had the experience of seeing my child suffer, I’ve had close loved ones go through the pain. It’s this time in life that either makes or breaks you. You have to be strong, not just for you, but also for them. That doesn’t mean you should discourage their vulnerability. You still need to embrace it, and there is a delicate balance in doing so. It’s also important to be there to support them and let them know that they are not a victim. They are still as strong as they want to be. If they fall into that victim mentality, it’s game over. They begin to lose their character in their illness. To dive into this more, I brought back Dr. Jordan Peterson. This is part two of my interview with Dr. Peterson. If you missed the last episode, go back and listen. In this part of my interview, Jordan dove into what it was like watching his child suffer with an debilitating illness. He talks about the lessons he learned as a professional, as well as a father. We discuss how his entire family was affected, and how he was able to teach is daughter to stay strong and vulnerable. This is a powerful episode, and you need to listen to it because there are valuable lesson you will need to use one day. Learn how you can avoid the victim mentality when an illness hits, on Episode 665. Some Questions I Ask: What’s the biggest challenge you’ve had to overcome? (5:16) How does mapping out your time play into the self authoring program? (9:09) Did your daughter feel responsible for causing all of the pain? (13:18) Is there anything that you wish you had done differently with your children? (21:22) Did you ever doubt yourself, in terms of your ability? (26:56) What’s your biggest fear now? (35:18) In This Episode You Will Learn: How to emotionally navigate seeing your child suffer (7:42) How to focus on your career at the same time as dealing with a loved one’s illness (11:03) What Jordan taught his daughter at an early age about her illness (16:06) How Dr. Peterson feels about his daughter’s experience (23:48) How his daughter’s health affected his career (30:27) Dr. Peterson’s plan moving forward (40:22) Get more from Lewis! Get my New York Times Bestselling book, Make Money Easy!Get The Greatness Mindset audiobook on SpotifyText Lewis AIYouTubeInstagramWebsiteTiktokFacebookX Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. S1 Ep 662664 Jordan Peterson on Responsibility and Meaning

“TREAT YOURSELF LIKE YOU ARE SOMEONE RESPONSIBLE FOR HELPING.” It’s common for people to question why they are here. This question can lead to depression and a sense that the world is a terrible place. I’ve sure you’ve experienced that feeling, and you may even be going through it right now. During these times you’ll commonly replay events in your life where you felt out of control or like everything was going wrong. That reaction comes from a lack of purpose and responsibility for yourself. You’re lacking the goals you need to feel complete. Instead, start making a road map for your life: the things you want to achieve, the family you want to have, etc. It doesn’t have to be a perfect map. In fact, it won’t be. No one has the ultimate road map. But any direction is better than no direction. Without a start, you’re just going to stand there watching the world pass you by. To dive further into this I’ve brought in a special guest: Dr. Jordan Peterson. Dr. Peterson is a professor at the University of Toronto, a clinical psychologist and the author of the million-plus selling 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos (Jan 2018, Penguin Books), which has been a Number 1 bestseller in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, the Netherlands and Brazil, and which is now slated to be translated into 40 languages. He has become super popular in the last two years for his lectures which he records and puts on YouTube. I had such an interesting interview with him that had so much important information, I actually split it into two episodes. In this episode of The School of Greatness, we sit down and discuss why we admire sports figures, how any aim (even a bad one) is crucial for you to feel fulfilled, and a mindset tool you can use to motivate you to do hard things. Learn how you can find the strength to live life you didn’t know you had, on Episode 664. Some Questions I Ask: How do you embody something in a shift of view? (7:23) Why is there so much conflict in the world? (8:14) A clear conscience is different than happiness? (11:06) When we’re watching sports, what does it do for us? (15:51) How do you fix your past traumas you can’t let go of? (21:22) What do you mean by being reasonable with your goals? (23:18) Why is it better to have a bad plan than to be in “No Man’s Land”? (27:15) What are some examples of weaknesses people might have? (28:42) What are three weaknesses, you know right now, you can still work on? (29:29) Does a rationale mean a meaning? (37:14) In This Episode You Will Learn: How Dr. Peterson’s simplifies his philosophy (6:16) The relationship between responsibility and meaning (9:56) Why people are so interested in sports (13:13) The reasons you need a noble cause (17:37) The purpose of memory (20:17) Why you need to be able to answer the seven questions (25:54) What you have to do to move forward (31:06) Why you should be exercising (32:48) The reason people get stuck searching for their meaning (39:12) Plus much, much more... S1 Ep 661663 Hustle for a Purpose with Ryan Holmes

"THERE I SUCH A THING HAS BAD HUSTLE.” The more successful you get, the more you are going to feel you need to hustle. You’ll feel the need to keep moving and it’ll seem like if you stop, all of the pieces will fall apart. Unfortunately, that can end up being your downfall. If you move just to keep moving, you can end up in the wrong place in life. After a while, other areas in your life will start falling apart: especially your health. And without that, what’s the point of all the work? That’s why it’s important to find that balance in your life. Find the time to hustle for yourself and for the ones you love. All of that is just as important for an entrepreneur as their business. On this episode of 5 Minute Friday, I’ve decided to bring you back this clip from Ryan Holmes. S1 Ep 660662 Mastering Body Language and Confidence

There are two things that can make or break you when it comes to achieving greatness: your body language and your confidence. If you don’t have confidence, you’ll never be able to put yourself out there to the world. You need the confidence to try, and it’s confidence that will help you get back up after your failures. Once you have the confidence to get out there, your next obstacle is your first impression. Your body language tells someone a lot about you. Sometimes, it may not be what you intended it to say. Having proper posture, giving people a big smile, and treating everyone like an old friend will go a long way. These are really important lessons, which is why I wanted to bring you a mashup from Chen Lizra, Jordan Harbinger and Vanessa Van Edwards. I’ve received such an overwhelming response on the past mashups I wanted to bring you another one. I really suggest you go back and listen to the episode multiple times. There’s so much great advice from all three of these guests, you can’t absorb it all in one sitting. Take a new nugget of information each day and apply it to your life. You’ll quickly learn how not only your life can change, but these tips will also affect the people around you. So learn how you can master your body language and improve your confidence, on Episode 662. S1 Ep 659661 Building Your Personal Advisory Board (aka Dream Team)

“YOU NEED TO LOOK AT YOURSELF LIKE A BUSINESS.” I know you’ve heard the story of me falling into a funk and sleeping on my sister’s couch for 18 months in my early twenties. One thing you probably didn’t know is how I got out of this funk. I wanted to record a solo round on this topic because it's one of the most powerful tools I've ever used to shift my life -- it's called creating a personal advisory board. If you haven’t heard of it before, a personal advisory board is a group of people that you build around you to give you wisdom, inspire you, and, most importantly, create accountability. You may be wondering what the difference is between an advisor and a mentor -- the truth is there is a big difference. A mentor is someone you look up to. You may know them, but you may not. Chances are, today, any mentor you have can answer your questions through resources they’ve created. Maybe it’s a book, a podcast, or online articles. Board members are people you know much more intimately. It’s also important they have an invested interest in your success. Ultimately, they have skin in the game when it comes to you. But it goes beyond that. An advisory board can help you in all aspects of your life. It’s a team for success and they are there to call on throughout the year and see your goals through to the end. No matter where you are at in your life and business, you need an advisory board. Without it, you’re either going to stay stagnant or move toward your dreams much slower than you could with it. Learn all about my tips on building the ultimate advisory board, on Episode 661. In this episode you will learn: What inspired me to discuss this topic (5:25) The difference between personal advisors and mentors (7:15) Advisor types you should have for different areas of life (9:13) My early mentors I built an advisory board with (10:11) The 4 things we all need (12:43) How to pick members of your advisory board (14:05) The way your advisors should make you feel (19:22) How to ask someone to join your advisory board (22:51) What an advisory member needs to want to join (26:05) Your end of year check in (30:42) Plus much, much more... S1 Ep 658660 Transform Today with Stacy London

"IMAGINE WHAT PEOPLE DON'T DO BECAUSE THEY'RE AFRAID OF THEIR ASHAMED.” A lot of people I know have a greatness inside of them, but there’s something holding them back. That thing is their self esteem. Without self esteem, you can be the best in the world, but no one will ever know because you’ll be too afraid to put yourself out there. This can be one of the hardest things to overcome, but honestly there’s an easy solution to start building your confidence - style. Changing the way you look will give you an instant feeling of change, and to go more into it I wanted to bring you a good friend of mine who knows this subject more than anyone else: Stacy London. S1 Ep 657659 Overcome Stress and Own the Day with Master Coaches

DON'T ALLOW STRESS TO CONSUMER YOUR LIFE. I’ve been dealing with a lot of stress lately in my life. I get wrapped up in it and tell myself (and others) how stressed I am. This mentality ends up breeding even more stress, and it’s honestly not healthy. As I listen to others around me, I’ve come to realize this is the norm. Despite all of the technology we have and all of our luxuries, we consider ourselves to be the most stressed generation. That’s why I decided to bring you another great mashup talking about this stress from Amanda Enayati, Todd Kashdan, Lissa Rankin, and Arianna Huffington. Stress, more than anything, is a mindset. It’s something we create ourselves in order to try and protect ourselves. We even become stressed about the unknown. The possibility of infinite success, or infinite failure, naturally gets our emotions to focus the darker side of the world. Instead, I challenge you to take the lessons from each of these clips. Apply them to your life and see just how much better you can make your life. I’d love to hear what you think about this episode, and how you apply these lessons in your life - so don’t hesitate to reach out to me on social media and let me know how it’s been working for you. Download this episode now and learn about how you can take control of your stress, on Episode 659. In This Episode You Will Learn: The narrative we create about stress (3:39) What real stress is (5:19) How to control your stress (7:04) The misconception of optimism (8:29) How we need to look at our limits (8:58) Some of the bravest people there are (10:15) Why the ability to tolerate pain determines your success (11:46) The four beliefs that make us frightened (14:23) How we fear what we cherish (15:35) Ways you can shift your beliefs (16:47) How loss can liberate your soul (18:01) Why you should strive for integration over balance(18:58) Myths about entrepreneurs (19:48) Plus much, much more Get more from Lewis! Get my New York Times Bestselling book, Make Money Easy!Get The Greatness Mindset audiobook on SpotifyText Lewis AIYouTubeInstagramWebsiteTiktokFacebookX Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. S1 Ep 655657 You Are Enough with Carrie-Anne Moss

“I AM ENOUGH. I DESERVE SUCCESS.” You have to fight for what you want if you want to accomplish anything. Otherwise it wouldn’t be an achievement, it would just be the way life is. Unfortunately, the struggle we have to go through to achieve our dreams can be overwhelming. It can be discouraging, and often times people give up just before they hit that pivotal point in life. One thing you can do to push through is remind yourself that you are enough. You can succeed. It’s going to take time, dedication, and a lot of failures. As long as you keep learning, and stay strong, you can achieve anything. To go further into this, I wanted to bring back a clip from a previous episode with Carrie-Anne Moss. You may remember her as Trinity from The Matrix. What you may not know is how much she struggled moving to LA as a young actress. On this episode of 5 Minute Friday, she talks about what a challenge it was to move to Hollywood and believe in her own value. She has no money, no green card, and literally nothing but the dream of being an actress. Learn about how just being her was enough to succeed, and how you can apply her mindset into your life, on Episode 657. What it was like for Carrie to move to LA (1:10) Carrie’s deal with her manager (2:13) How she thinks about her acting career (3:00) What she did to get through the hard times (4:52) Plus much more... S1 Ep 653655 Be Vulnerable and Fight to Win with MMA Fighter Michelle Waterson

“NEVER LET ANYBODY GET IN THE WAY OF YOUR DREAMS. NOT EVEN YOURSELF.” So many times in this world we let others dictate our lives. We listen to our parents, our friends, even our neighbors on what we “should do” with our lives. No one knows our true purpose -- that’s something we have to find on our own. Our passions and our love should be what guides us in life, not just logic. Life’s too short to spend precious moments chasing something we don’t care about, something that doesn’t make us feel fulfilled. Sure, you could be a doctor or a lawyer and make money fast: but what good is the cash if you’re miserable? When you follow your passion and master those skills, the money will follow, and it’ll be worth the delay. That’s why for today’s episode of The School of Greatness, I brought on a truly inspirational woman: Michelle Waterson. Michelle is a wife, a mother, and an amazing UFC fighter. She had a passion for martial arts even as a child but pushed her passion aside to listen to what her parents wanted. She went to college and studied things she didn’t really care about. One day she was hired to work as a ring girl at a UFC fight and watching the action up close made her decide she wanted to continue her childhood passion. As soon as the semester was over, she left school and started training to be a fighter - but there was only one problem. At that time there were no UFC women. In fact, the UFC was very clear they were never planning to let women into the UFC. She didn’t let that stop her. She continued to train and take small fights any chance should could. Finally, all the hard work paid off. The UFC started letting in women fighters, and she’s had an incredible career that didn’t exist not too long ago. If you’re wondering if you should actually pursue your passion, no matter how unconventional it may be, you need to hear Episode 655. Some Questions I Ask: What has being a fighter taught you about femininity and masculinity? (7:36) You were a ring girl and then thought it would be fun to be in the ring punching people? (11:27) What’s a smoker? (14:11) If there were no women in the UFC at the time, what was your vision? (16:02) What does it take to be a champion in the UFC? (19:44) What’s the challenging part for you mentally and physically from the moment you get the phone call to the moment you step in the ring? (22:36) What has your biggest loss taught you about yourself? (26:44) What was the most challenging emotional wave you had to experience leading into a fight? (30:52) How do you get back to keeping your mental strength after and injury or bad loss? (41:32) What’s the greatest thing your dad taught you about being a better woman? (44:58) What kind of example do you want to set for your daughter? (47:08) In This Episode You Will Learn: What it is about fighting that Michelle loves (9:02) Her next step after training in Thailand (13:46) How long she was an amateur fighter (14:56) Her biggest fear today (18:08) What she does to silence the conversations that try to hold her back (20:56) How she respects her opponents when she’s fighting them (25:02) How she manages emotional up and downs (28:52) How she was able to focus on her fights, despite all of her emotional ups and downs (38:32) The greatest lesson her mom taught her (43:09) Plus much, much more Get more from Lewis! Get my New York Times Bestselling book, Make Money Easy!Get The Greatness Mindset audiobook on SpotifyText Lewis AIYouTubeInstagramWebsiteTiktokFacebookX Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. S1 Ep 652654 Tell Your Story with Donald Miller

THERE'S ONE THING EVERYONE LIKE: A GOOD STORY. A strong story can move the masses. It can inspire a generation or change your life forever. Storytelling is also one of the most important tools we can use in business. Good storytelling can take your business to new heights. There is a secret to good storytelling: make other people the hero. If you’re the hero of your own stories, you sound conceited. Instead, make others the focus. If you want to take it to the next level, make your audience the hero of the story. To dive into the power of storytelling, I wanted to bring back an interview with Donald Miller for this episode of 5 Minute Friday. Donald unlocked the power of storytelling and quadrupled his business in no time. Then he started to get calls from the biggest companies, like Pantene, Ford-Lincoln and even the White House! Learn from the grandmaster of storytelling, on Episode 654. In This Episode You Will Learn: The thing everyone should do (00:34) How Donald quadrupled his revenue (1:26) What stories are all about (2:09) How “what ifs” can help your life (2:31) The story that’s most inspiring to Donald (2:52) Get more from Lewis! Get my New York Times Bestselling book, Make Money Easy!Get The Greatness Mindset audiobook on SpotifyText Lewis AIYouTubeInstagramWebsiteTiktokFacebookX Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. S1 Ep 651653 Become Superhuman and Achieve the Impossible with Iron Cowboy James Lawrence

"AS A PEOPLE, WE NEED TO FIGURE OUT WHAT OUR ALTER EGO IS.” One of the hardest things for us to deal with is pain. Our mind tries to prevent us from experiencing it. It's just trying to protect us and keep us alive. When we push through that pain, however, that’s when we accomplish greatness. Now I don’t mean continuing with a broken arm. I mean pushing through those tough times when your mind is trying to tell your body to stop, but you know you have more to give. That’s why I wanted to bring you today’s guest, the Iron Cowboy himself: James Lawrence. James did 50 Ironman Triathlons, in 50 days, in 50 states. He was constantly on the move for 12 hours a day, running, swimming, and cycling. As soon as he was finished, he had to travel to the next state. Most days James only had about four hours to rest. That’s no time for your body to recover. Did he hurt? Did he want to give up? Of course. But James ended up powering through, breaking a Guinness World Record. At the end of the 50 days, his body had begun to accept that this was its new reality (and he felt like he needed to do another triathlon after he finished!) Humans can push themselves so much further than we think. We just need to get over our mental barriers to see what we can really achieve. Learn what it takes to develop your skills and overcome your boundaries, on Episode 653. Some Questions I Ask: The universe was telling you to quit, how and why did you continue? (12:01) When did you do your first Ironman Triathlon? (21:00) Why do you think it’s important to put your body through a stress that your mind says no to? (25:36) What was your greatest fear growing up? (29:16) What’s the greatest personal struggle you’ve ever faced? (32:15) Were the conversations you were having with yourself more about forgiveness or the future you wanted to create? (37:56) How much mental training did it take for you to find your alter ego? (42:53) What’s your mental routine on a daily basis? (52:56) In This Episode You Will Learn: How James helped someone with Cerebral Palsy finish the triathlon (7:29) How long it takes for him to finish an Ironman Triathlon (14:32) The greatest lesson he’s learned from all 50 Ironmans (24:34) Something we can do on a daily basis to help us increase our mental toughness (27:25) How he’s preparing his children to take on the world (30:45) What he thinks about at hour 7 of the day during a race (34:51) The power of his alter ego (39:42) Why he felt the need to achieve the impossible (47:25) Get more from Lewis! Get my New York Times Bestselling book, Make Money Easy!Get The Greatness Mindset audiobook on SpotifyText Lewis AIYouTubeInstagramWebsiteTiktokFacebookX Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. S1 Ep 650652 Jesse Itzler on Building a Healthy, Wealthy, Wise Life

“I LEARN BEST BY JUMPING INTO THE UNKNOWN.” There’s one resource in this world we all take for granted: time. We’re only on this planet for a small amount of time, and we tend to build routines in our lives that makes the days roll by. The next thing we know, we look in the mirror and we’re 70. When you look at that face do you want to see a life of missed opportunities or one filled with experiences you are proud of? If you want the latter, you need to make sure you schedule time for you. Take the time to build your life resume, because that’s what makes our lives much more interesting. When you talk about someone, do you talk about how they clock in to work on time everyday at 9 am and work late hours? Or do you talk about the places they’ve been to, and the experiences they’ve had? On this episode of The School of Greatness, I bring you back someone who has decided to build their life’s resume: Jesse Itzler. Importance of taking advantage of time. Routine make life fly by. Make time for yourself - building life resume instead of business resume. Jesse enjoys living life "out of the box." In fact, he doesn't even have a box. The author of the New York Times bestseller, Living with a Seal, co founded Marquis Jet, the world's largest private jet card company which he and his partner sold to Berkshire Hathaway/NetJets. Jesse then partnered with Zico coconut water, which he and his partner sold to The Coca-Cola Company. He’s also the kind of person that when he wants something he grabs onto the opportunity without delay. He recently decided he needed to detox his mind from electronics and the constant multitasking of today’s world. He ended up living with monks, living in a room as small as a table, and unable to communicate with his family, just to find himself. The lessons he learned most were about the need to make time for yourself and the people around you that you care most about. In the end, that’s where you’ll have the most impact and where your true legacy will come from. Learn more lessons from Jesse’s isolation and time with the monks, on Episode 652. Some Questions I Ask: How was your 15 day digital detox? (8:45) What are you not waiting for? (20:09) If you could go back 20 years, what would you eliminate or add to your life? (21:41) Do you still take 3 hours for yourself every day? (24:44) What do you think you can learn from pain? (29:14) What did the monks teach you about overcoming personal challenges? (32:52) What did the master’s say (about death)? (36:34) Have you and your wife ever struggled with competing with one another? (44:47) Do you ever have a fear that your kids are a little soft? (47:04) What are the things you’ve learned from your time in your monks you didn’t know before? (48:13) In This Episode You Will Learn: When he had the idea to live with monks (10:50) What Jesse didn’t miss during his time away (14:51) How Jesse worked in the music business (17:07) The Kevin Rule (22:28) When Jesse started living this type of life (27:37) The biggest personal challenge he’s faced (30:29) Why death kept coming up in Jesse’s mind (34:40) How he maintains the spark of sexual desire and dynamic of business in his relationship (41:26) The greatest lessons his kids have taught him (45:40) Plus much, much more... S1 Ep 649651 Overcome All Odds with Amy Purdy

“WE’RE GOING TO FALL CONSTANTLY. WHAT KEEPS YOU YOUNG?” We all go through struggles in life, and it’s so easy to get into a loop of self pity. Instead, find a way to focus on your future. Make goals for yourself, especially if you find yourself in a life changing event. Where do you want to be in six months? What accomplishment do you want to make in the next year? Life’s too short to dwell on the present, so look forward to the future. The importance of creating this sort of accountability really got me thinking about a past episode with one of the most inspirational people I had on the show: Amy Purdy. Amy is a Paralympian who lost both of her feet. It didn’t stop her from becoming a world class athlete and someone that even Oprah has called her hero. On this episode of 5 Minute Friday, Amy discusses how she was able to overcome seemingly impossible obstacles by shifting her mindset to one that is selfless. Learn all about how you can overcome the impossible, on Episode 651. S1 Ep 648650 Leadership Lessons from the Masters

“The leader who acts like they have all the answers leaves no opportunity for others to help.” - Simon Sinek My previous mashup episodes have been exploding. Because of this, I wanted to bring you an episode on leadership. No matter who you are, or what you do, you will be in a leadership position at some point. Whether you are the CEO of a company, or a stay at home parent: there are people who rely on you to stand up and take charge. This can be a very confusing situation, as sometimes you may find yourself feeling like you can’t ask for help. You also may feel like you’re losing progress and need to keep moving forward. To give you the tools you need to lead in success I wanted to bring you back segments from Alison Levine, Simon Sinek, Nancy Duarte, and Cesar Millan. This collection of interviews, I felt, will give you some of the tools you need to really progress in your life. If you take these lessons, and integrate them into your life a little at a time, you will see results. I don’t expect you to memorize it all and I don’t expect you to make a sudden change. Integrate these lessons little by little and review them. Now get to it, and learn how to be a successful leader, on Episode 650. Som questions I ask: What if you have an employee that’s failing over and over again? (5:39) Why do you say “When you make progress on something, turn around and change direction?" (7:12) Does vulnerability create trust? (12:06) Who do you think is the most inspiring leader? (20:14) Did you (Cesar) always see yourself as a natural leader? (21:36) What if someone feels like they’re leading, but aren’t? (23:19) In This Episode You Will Learn: How to help your team learn and grow (5:15) The way you successfully reach the top (8:23) What will make you struggle the most in life (14:23) One of the greatest leadership tools (19:13) How to build confidence in human beings (24:04) Plus much, much more... S1 Ep 647649 Make a Comeback - Body and Mind Training with Brooke Ence

“YOU HAVEN'T LOST CHANCES TO BE A BETTER PERSON.” Are you aware you’re constantly being judged? I bet you are. Are you letting it affect the the way you live your life? I really hope not. Today, it’s so much easier to feel the burden of judgment. With social media, our lives are always in the spotlight. There are so many people who will hate on us, and the more successful we are the more haters there usually are. You can’t listen to them. You just need to follow your heart and brush off their comments. Focus in on listening to those that you really do care about, not some stranger that you’ve never heard of. I have a special guest who knows more about this than most people: Brooke Ence. Brooke is a fitness and Crossfit icon. She also appeared in Wonder Woman as an Amazonian warrior and she's just getting started. Unfortunately, she’s always received a lot of criticism in her life. Her love of working out has meant she doesn’t have a traditional female body. She can come off as intimidating to people, and there’s always been a lot of backlash on social media because of it. Last year she suffered a spinal injury that nearly took her life’s passion away from her. She decided not to let it ruin everything she has built. Through pacing herself she’s learned to get back into the competition world and has been making a massive recovery in such a short amount of time. Sadly, this pacing of herself has lead to even more people criticizing her. They’ve been trying to make her feel like she’s burnt out or past her prime - but I get the feeling she’s going to come back even stronger and better in the future. Instead of listening to the naysayers she’s learned to focus her attention to people that truly know her, support her, and gauge her success on their reaction. On this episode of The School of Greatness, Brooke really opens up about her injury and the struggles she’s gone through as a woman focusing on her passion as opposed to society’s standards. She really is an inspiration to all people -- don't miss Episode 649. Some Questions I Ask: How did you get your injury? (7:48) Did people think you could come back like you did? (23:18) Has your build had an affect your confidence? (29:12) What advice do you give to people that focus on other people’s words all the time? (42:16) How do you push through every time when it hurts? (51:20) Do you feel relief that you don’t have to train as hard for the games? (53:42) In This Episode You Will Learn: How quickly Brooke had her surgery (20:32) The ways Brooke is more secure today (26:26) How Brooke dealt with the lies she was telling herself (37:15) How she sets herself up to have the best workout (48:28) Her vision moving forward (52:03) The thing she’s most proud of since her surgery (1:02:23) Get more from Lewis! Get my New York Times Bestselling book, Make Money Easy!Get The Greatness Mindset audiobook on SpotifyText Lewis AIYouTubeInstagramWebsiteTiktokFacebookX Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. S1 Ep 645647 Business Building Secrets From the Masters

"EVEN THE SKY IS NOT THE LIMIT." - NAVEEN JAIN We've had some incredible masters of business on the show over the years. For this next mashup episode, I selected 5 clips from some of the most impactful conversations I've had with these masters. I've learned so much about how to take my business to the next level by learning from these entrepreneurs. Each of them has a unique business and personality (and strengths), but each has achieved extraordinary success by following certain key patterns. Interested to know what they are? You'll hear from Rob Dyrdek, the mogul of skateboard products, MTV, and funding startups. You'll then hear from Sara Blakely, the founder of Spanx and the youngest female self-made billionaire in the US. Then you'll hear from Naveen Jain, the founder of multiple wildly successful tech companies, including ones that are making private space travel a reality - and curing disease. Next is Lisa Messenger, the Australian multi-media entrepreneur who turned out an incredibly successful magazine when nothing supported her idea. And finally, we end on a note from Grant Cardone, the money master entrepreneur himself, who I recently spoke at his massive 9K person event in Vegas. S1 Ep 644646 How to Be the Jedi Master of Overcoming Stress with Chris Lee

“YOU HAVE NO CONTROL OVER OTHER PEOPLE, BUT YOU HAVE TOTAL CONTROL OVER YOURSELF.” Do you ever feel like there’s certain things that just set you off? Certain subjects that send you into a blind rage? We all go through it. There was a period in my life, well honestly it was most of my life, I was explosive. Even if a little thing would trigger me, I found myself exploding. In those moments, I would reflect - and I know that wasn’t me. The truth is, it wasn’t me. It was my reaction. More importantly, it wasn’t my reaction to what was really happening. I was reacting to things in my past. Previous events I was holding on to, and constantly judging, were making me react in an explosive manner. Events would trigger these memories on a subconscious level, and everything that built up would come out all at once. I was able to find a place of peace with my past and find a place of neutrality, thanks to the help of today’s guest: Chris Lee. Chris Lee is a transformational facilitator and coach (and TV personality) that has been doing deep work for 30 years. This is also the 14th (yes, 14th) time he’s been on the show. On this episode of The School of Greatness, we discuss how you can achieve a neutral mindset. Not only will you get the theory behind the work, but you’ll also walk away with actionable steps you can take today to make that happen. Don’t be caught reacting to your triggers, creating an image of yourself you don’t want others to see ever again. Chris has been my coach for years on this exact topic, and I'm so excited for you to hear his wisdom as well. Learn how you can create a neutral mind-frame that allows for clarity on Episode 646. Some Questions I Ask: How can we have more results in our lives? (7:44) So what is step one to create a neutral life? (18:00) How do you handle not letting wild kids trigger you? (19:26) Do you recommend having a mantra if things seem too out of control? (21:34) What’s the next point for staying neutral? (32:34) What’s something you’ve learned about yourself that’s surprised you in the last year? (38:54) What’s the thing you need to master still that will take you to another level? (41:34) In This Episode You Will Learn: How holding onto judgment will create negative reactions (10:54) The truth about every event in life (12:10) What neutrality really is (20:06) Another way to achieve neutrality when you’re triggered (23:16) How the greatest athletes are neutral (26:21) What you need to do now to overcome triggers (28:07) The importance of a neutral accountability buddy (30:26) Your action steps after this episode is over (36:00) Get more from Lewis! Get my New York Times Bestselling book, Make Money Easy!Get The Greatness Mindset audiobook on SpotifyText Lewis AIYouTubeInstagramWebsiteTiktokFacebookX Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. S1 Ep 643645 Give Your Attention with Elizabeth Gilbert

“THERE’S A HUGE AMOUNT OF REAL STATE BETWEEN THE WORST AND THE GREATEST.” Do you care about getting your social media numbers up? Do you want people to love and adore you? The problem is that you’re focusing in the wrong direction. Don’t concentrate on yourself or what you want from other people. Shift your focus to helping others. Make an impact on those who already appreciate you. When that happens, more people will appreciate you. You’ll make their lives magical, and the success and admiration will come later. For example, when Oprah comes out on stage she doesn’t say “Look at me. I’m great.” She puts her focus on her audience. She zooms in on others and does what she can to help everyone around her. For this episode of 5 Minute Friday, I’m bringing back this segment from Elizabeth Gilbert. She’s an American author, essayist, short story writer, biographer, novelist, and memoirist. She is best known for her 2006 memoir, Eat, Pray, Love, which as of December 2010 had spent 199 weeks on the New York Times Best Seller list. She gives her insights on what she’s learned about the power of looking to serve rather than be served. Discover all of that and much more, on Episode 645. In This Episode You Will Learn: Where most people lie in relation to their greatness (00:45) How to really help others (1:32) How to get a larger platform (3:17) What makes Oprah so great (3:44) Plus much, much more. S1 Ep 642644 Wellness Wisdom from the Masters

THE FIRST WEALTH IS HEALTH. Lately I have been bringing you some mashups, giving you some of the best advice on a specific topic and the response has been overwhelming. I know you love the long interviews, hearing about all aspects of someone’s life - and I’m not going to stop those. I love them too. S1 Ep 641643 Show the World Your Greatness with Trent Shelton

“WHAT YOU THINK IS YOUR GREATEST DISAPPOINTMENT CAN BE YOUR GREATEST RESCUE.” Do you ever get down on yourself over mistakes you’ve made in the past? Are you upset about things that happened to you and feel like the best times of your life are over? They’re not. When I was younger and injured right as my professional career as an athlete was starting to take off, I thought that was it. I thought my life was over in my early twenties. I had no backup. No plan B. I ended up sharing myself with the world, and turning my selfish nature into something selfless. I started making it my goal to help others, to transform lives, and I’m so much happier than I ever could have been. Of course, a part of me wishes my career as an athlete had been successful, but when I think about everything I have and all of the memories I have from helping others, I wouldn’t change it for the world. There’s no reason you can’t do the same now. Your glory days are still coming. On this episode of The School of Greatness, I had the pleasure to sit down with someone who has gone through a similar situation as myself: Trent Shelton. Trent Shelton is a former NFL wide receiver that is now considered one of the most impactful speakers of this generation. He reaches over 50 million people weekly through his various social media outlets, and also travels the world to speak his message of creating lasting change in your life. I was fortunate enough to have him sit down with me and discuss how he’s impacted people. We talk about the three steps to rehab when you’ve lost your identity, what happens when you don’t celebrate your accomplishments, and how to build your communication strategy. Learn how you can apply the best of yourself each day, on Episode 643. Some Questions I Ask: When you dropped to the arena league, did you do pretty well? (6:55) Did you start doing videos during your “rehab” time? (9:17) What has being a husband and father taught you about life?(17:48) What numbers do you think we should be measuring? (21:44) What is the biggest challenge in intimate relationships? (25:12) What do you do to connect with your wife or your kids every single day? (29:54) What’s the biggest challenge you face moving forward? (32:12) Can you share a spoken word? (34:36) What about the people who are afraid to share their story? (38:53) In This Episode You Will Learn: What Trent did when Plan A fell through (7:34) How long someone should take before they come back into life after dealing with pain (11:12) The three Rs of rehab (12:24) What Trent means by, “Chasing a life of fulfillment wears you out.” (19:38) The person Trent held a grudge against the longest (23:14) The biggest challenge he faces in his marriage (27:52) Trent’s main goal and dream for himself (30:52) How social media is affecting relationships today (33:23) The biggest thing Trent has learned from reflecting on his life (37:08) Plus much, much more Get more from Lewis! Get my New York Times Bestselling book, Make Money Easy!Get The Greatness Mindset audiobook on SpotifyText Lewis AIYouTubeInstagramWebsiteTiktokFacebookX Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. S1 Ep 640642 Love Versus Ego with Taye Diggs

"CONVINCE YOURSELF YOU ARE WORTH IT.” Have you ever wondered, “What value do I have? Am I good enough? How can I compete against others?” Those thoughts stem from you comparing yourself to others. It’s a natural habit, but it’s one that is going to hold you back. Your value comes from you. From being who you are, and all of the experiences you went through. This world, and finding your place in it, is all about you being you and trusting in your instincts. If you compare yourself to others, you’re always going to feel like you’re coming up short. The truth is, you are great now. Every experience you go through, good or bad, makes you something special. To go further into this, I wanted to dive into a previous episode with Taye Diggs. Taye is an actor and singer who has had an incredible career in film and theatre. He was in the film, How Stella Got Her Groove Back, and the TV series Private Practice, among many other career highlights. Listen to all of Taye’s insights, on Episode 642. In This Episode You Will Learn: What Taye struggled with (00:53) The thing you need to convince yourself of (1:14) How to find your inner power (1:47) What guides Taye and his actions (2:26) How you can get the world to open up (3:18) Plus much more. S1 Ep 639641 Spiritual Truths from the Masters

"You have to have some kind of practice of stillness in your life." - Danielle LaPorte Have you ever wondered what the truth is about why we're here and how to make sense of life? I think we all have. It's a question I often ask guests on my podcast who have a spiritual background. I'm fascinated by all the different ideas on our purpose in life and how to find it. We've had some amazing spiritual leaders on the show, from all different backgrounds, so I thought it would be cool to do a Masters mashup episode on spiritual truths. The response to these mashup episodes from the archives has been so great, I'm going to keep them coming. This one features 4 clips from some of the wisest spiritual minds I've ever met. First we hear from John Gray about how we can see our biggest mistakes and challenges being used for good in our lives. Then we hear from Marianne Williamson about the difference between pain and suffering (and that we have a choice about how to respond to them). Next there's a great nugget from Danielle LaPorte about why it's so important to be your own guru when it comes to walking your spiritual path. And lastly we end with Rob Bell talking about why he believes God has put paradox into every truth (and why that is a good thing). I loved each of these episodes, and I think you'll get as much value as I did by revisiting them in Episode 641. In this episode you will learn: The importance of seeing each other's struggles (5:42) The difference between pain and suffering (9:16) How to create space to listen to your own wisdom (12:38) Why paradox is baked into truth (19:04) Plus much more... S1 Ep 638640 How to Overcome Obstacles

THE GREATEST PEOPLE ARE MADE BY THE GREATEST CHALLENGES. Have you ever wondered what the truth is about why we're here and how to make sense of life? I think we all have. S1 Ep 637639 Be Kind to Yourself with Marianne Williamson

“IF YOU FILL YOUR HOUSE LIGHT, DARKNESS CAN'T COME IN.” So many people I know put more time and energy into their things, or their career, than they do into into their relationship. I know I can be guilty of it, and I’m sure you can be too. We put so much time into fixing up things like our homes, maintaining our cars, we tend to forget about those closest to us. We take them for granted. When is the last time you really took the time to make your partner feel good? How often do you really put effort into boosting their confidence -- or even just being present with them. That’s not the only relationship we neglect though - we forget about the one with ourselves. Chances are it’s been awhile since you’ve taken the time to forgive yourself. To do something respectable and give yourself that moment to appreciate it. To appreciate you. To dive further into this I wanted to bring back a previous episode with the internationally acclaimed spiritual author and lecturer, Marianne Williamson on Episode 639. In This Episode You Will Learn: The only thing that matters (00:37) What our society really seems to care about (00:43) What you should be doing for your partner daily (1:19) Where a lot of the pain we feel comes from (1:57) The importance of atonement (2:20) How to start respecting yourself again (2:52) Plus much, much more Get more from Lewis! Get my New York Times Bestselling book, Make Money Easy!Get The Greatness Mindset audiobook on SpotifyText Lewis AIYouTubeInstagramWebsiteTiktokFacebookX Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. S1 Ep 636638 Train Your Mind to Win with MMA Champion Mike Chandler

"SOMEBODY HAS TO BE THE BEST. WHY SHOULDN'T IT BE YOU?" - MIKE CHANDLER Have you ever looked at the best in the world and wondered if you could be that? I have. I think a lot of us do when we're kids. We are amazed and inspired by the very best examples we find. But often we grow up and discover all kinds of reasons for why we can't be as good as the best. We fail at things. We struggle. We get knocked down, disappointed, hurt. I got to connect with someone this week who has experienced all of that. Many times. But he still decided he could be the best in the world at what he does. And he became that. Mike Chandler is a Bellator Lightweight Champion fighter. He was an All-American wrestler in college. He's overcome extraordinary opponents to win titles again and again. But he's also faced losses. Failures. Setbacks. At one point, after winning the world championship, he didn't win another fight for 688 days straight. So when we had a minute to sit down to record a podcast about the mindset of champions, I had to know what his self-talk routine is like. It really impressed me. Mike told me that self-image is actually one of the most important things he has cultivated. He has to believe he can be the best in the world, or it's not going to happen. I loved his insights on why it's so important to talk to yourself instead of listening to yourself, and so many more nuggets. Whatever you're aspiring to, I know you'll find his wisdom very helpful in Episode 638. Some questions I ask: What lesson did you learn in order to win the world championship? (8:23) Who taught you that you could become anything you want? (11:05) What do all world-class fighters have in common? (14:47) What happens when you believe you deserve great things? (18:03) What's your greatest gift in your sport and what do you need to work on the most? (19:10) In this episode you will learn: Why settling for your mediocre circumstances is unacceptable (9:20) What loss can teach us about what our potential is (11:15) Why your self-image is so important to your success (14:55) Mike's pre-fight self-talk and rituals (21:10) Plus much more... S1 Ep 635637 Sex, Love and Relationships From Master Coaches

"When you become rare, people become really terrified of losing you." - Matthew Hussey I know I get huge value every time I sit across from an expert and hear their wisdom about one of the most important parts of my life -- my relationships. We've had some amazing relationship coaches on the podcast through the years, but some of the episodes are so old, I know you may not remember them (or have ever heard them). That's why I wanted to put together another mashup episode from the archives to share some of these gems with you. If you enjoyed last week's mashup episode on High Performance Habits, you're going to love this one. We're first featuring a clip from my good friend and global dating icon Matthew Hussey. This is still one of the most popular episodes we've ever recorded. Then we dive into part of my conversation with Tracy McMillan, an Oprah favorite, a long-term TV writer, and relationship expert. I love how real and honest Tracy is in this episode. Last, we feature the master therapist herself, bestselling author and powerhouse coach Esther Perel (who has been on the podcast twice and spoken at Summit of Greatness). I think you'll love each clip for a different reason -- and I want to know! Let me know by messaging me on social media @lewishowes. If you're looking for some insight into making your intimate relationships better, look no further than this mashup Episode 637. In this episode you will learn: The problem with having a sense of entitlement in dating (5:05) What makes you attractive beyond your best quality (10:10) The biggest mistake people make in dating (12:41) How to get through the rough patches of a relationship (17:13) The importance of humor in relationships (19:35) How to work with your partner when they are triggered (20:55) Why monogamy is a choice (26:45) Plus much more...
