S4 Ep 74Ep: 74 More Leads, Less Time

Do you have a goldendoodle? Oh my! I have a goldendoodle, too! Let's do business together! If only generating leads were that easy, right? Well, guess what…..it REALLY can be that easy! If you find yourself constantly struggling to generate leads for your small business, this episode is for you! In today's podcast, I'm going to be covering some useful tips and tricks that have helped me cultivate leads and turn them into clients! I know, this can be an intimidating process and often feel like a burden, but if you aren't constantly looking for new clients, can your business survive? Be persistent. Be persistent. Be persistent. Always assume a client is a "yes" until you ACTUALLY hear them say "no". Sometimes it takes time for clients to warm up to your greatness…..but once you have them, you'll be able to show them how valuable an asset you can be to their business. My tips for generating more leads in less time: Block 1 hour per day to look for leads but ACTUALLY put it in your calendar! Identify where your ideal client hangs out (Facebook Groups, Instagram), do some research on a potential client, find something you have in common, then reach out and connect if they seem like a good fit. Follow up. FOLLOW up. FOLLOW UP! Hop a call and see where things go. Let people know what you can offer and see if they're interested. Book clients. Be consistent with the steps you set up. If you schedule time to look for leads, then do it. If you haven't sent the follow up email you've been planning to send…..send it! Refine your steps. Repeat. I know, generating leads can be an arduous process and not everyone is comfortable being a "salesy" person, but there is a difference in being "salesy" and "slimy". If you follow my simple steps, and incorporate things that work for you, the leads will come without one ounce of slime! Feeling overwhelmed with everything going on in your business and wish you could just hit the reset button sometimes? Well, today's episode might be just what you need…...literally! Today we are going to be talking about my new R.E.S.E.T. Method that came out of necessity when I was feeling stuck. As an entrepreneur, it's normal AND EXPECTED, to go through times when you just need to reflect and assess everything you do and figure out your long-term goals and how to reach them. S3 Ep 68EP: 68 Eliminate to Accelerate

Are you like me where you have 37,000 thoughts and ideas bouncing around your brain at all times and no solid focus? You want to run a successful business, but keep finding yourself lost in the forest because you're so focused on one tree? Well, this episode is for you! Today we are going to be talking about eliminating things from your business to be able to accelerate growth. Yes, less is more! Less is more when it comes to products, services, projects, tasks, things on your calendar and…...just generally…...things you say yes to. Less Stuff = More Space. Having less stuff creates more space. ... Less Spending = More Money. ... Less Clothes= More Closet Space. ... Less Furniture= More Room. ... Less Social Media = More Time to Read. ... Less Driving = More Walking. ... Less Stress = More Sleep. ... Less Working Hard = More Working Smart. Complexity causes confusion for your followers, your customers and your team members. If you simplify your life, you simplify your processes, which leads to a more efficient, successful business! Isn't that what you're really striving for? Using my "ROAD to Scalability" method is a great first step in achieving this! S3 Ep 63EP: 63 Online Business Trends with Kristen Westcott

Today's episode is for all you entrepreneurs trying to maneuver in the world of online business! We are going to be talking about all things Systems and Operations, and helping us is Kristen Westcott of Kristen Westcott Media. Kristen is a business growth and systems strategist and founder of Kristen Westcott Media who has spent the last decade in the legal and education fields supporting leaders and students in the areas of goal setting, productivity and project management. After recognizing her true passion lies in serving entrepreneurs, Kristen honed her skills as a Director of Operations. She quickly noticed that what was holding many business owners back wasn't a lack of drive or ability, but a lack of foundational systems that could support the day-to-day operations of a scaling business. These days, she spends her time helping online coaches, copywriters and course creators scale without the frustration that massive growth often brings. Today we talk about all the fabulous systems at your fingertips and how to best utilize them to fit your individual business. Kristen gives some great advice on how to manage your time, focus on one project at a time, and how to set a long-term vision for your business instead of spinning your wheels by constantly jumping on the latest trend. S3 Ep 62EP: 62 Stop Using 8 Systems

Has your systems budget ballooned to $400 per month while simultaneously feeling like things are being held together by duct tape? You know it doesn't have to be this way…….RIGHT? Today we are going to be talking about how you can STOP using 8 softwares to sell your courses, memberships and products. I have worked with clients time and time again and when we do a systems audit they name off all of these things: Leadpages, Thinkific, Teachable, Active Campaign, Convertkit, Acuity, Calengly, Typeform, Vimeo, Zendesk…..and on…..and on…..and on. Then they have to use Zapier to connect it all together! I call this "The Duct Tape Approach". You have all these monthly subscriptions that come out on different days. Some of your data in one place and some of your data in another. Your systems flow is over-complicated and it's impossible to duplicate things or create anything new. Have I thoroughly described you yet? It really doesn't have to be this hard. There is a software that puts all of that into one place, saves you tons of money on monthly subscriptions, and saves you time having to duct tape all of that together. What is that? It's KARTRA!! Go check it out now. Go to b.link/bco-kartra for a 14 day free trial. You guys! I cannot say enough good things about Kartra. EVERYTHING is connected! S3 Ep 60EP: 60 Multi-tasking: The Death of Productivity

Are you the type of person with 37 tabs open on one screen and 17 tabs open on the other? Go look, you probably have that many open RIGHT NOW! Guess what! This doesn't make you a master multi-tasker! It's actually hurting your productivity and ultimately your business. In today's episode I am going to be talking about multi-tasking and how it is stopping you from making more impact and income in your business. What is multi-tasking? Well, it's when we perform two or more tasks simultaneously, and switching back and forth from one thing to another in rapid succession with…...SPOILER ALERT……..no real success because we're focused on too many things at once! Listen, I'm guilty too! In addition to multi-tasking, context switching is another hurdle we all deal with on a daily basis that can be detrimental to our lives, clients and businesses. Context switching is when we jump back and forth to different types of work (bookkeeping to client work to graphic design) without focusing solely on one thing. This much back-and-forth can impact our short-term memory, lead to increased anxiety, stifle our creative thinking, and ultimately stop us from getting into a "state of flow". With multi-tasking impacting productivity by nearly 40% and context switching by nearly 20%, you risk decreasing your daily productivity by close to 60%, what does that equate to for you and your business? Are you serving clients in the best way possible? Are you fulfilled personally and professionally? What are some ways to minimize the consequences of multi-tasking and context switching? S3 Ep 58EP: 58 When Your Strategy Needs To Shift

We all know that that has been the theme of 2020? Being flexible and pivoting! What happens when you create this grand master plan for your year, your quarter, your month, your week or your day, and then you have to make changes to it? How do you keep up with those changes, and how do you make sure that you are making the right shift vs. creating distractions or losing momentum. There is a quote that I love "Pivoting isn't a plan B - It's part of the Process" -Jeff Goins Pivoting and shifting MUST happen. If they aren't happening, you are stagnant and not growing. You have a grand plan for your day, then an appointment gets shifted, or you have to do something that wasn't in the idea that takes longer than it was supposed to. SHIFT happens - Daily. But we want to make sure that when we are shifting that everything is still in alignment with the bigger picture strategy. S3 Ep 56EP: 56 4 Ways to Manage Projects Better

What is a project: an individual or collaborative enterprise that is carefully planned and designed to achieve a particular aim. Examples of projects: Home Improvement Project Construction Vacation Event planning Wedding Course Launch Podcast Launch Business launch Anything with lots of moving parts and tasks So What is project management: Project management is the way a person organizes and manages resources that are necessary to complete a project. People that manage projects are known as Project Managers. A project is a piece of work that is not a process or an operation. It has a start, an end, and goals Why do we need project management and Project managers?? We need a tool and/or person to manage all the moving parts of our projects to help us stay on track, be more efficient, and follow through to completion. There are tools for you to do this on your own like Asana/Trello I have a business management course called talk Trello to me - all of the boards can be moved to Asana, ClickUp, Monday.com, etc Go to www.talktrellotome.com to view all of our business management organization templates. So how can you manage projects better on your own 1 - Think Bigger Picture Does this fit into your business model Does this fit into long term plans Do we need to do this now or put it on the backburner for later We all take on TOO many projects at one time, and we are juggling too many balls. 2 - Planning makes perfect (or as close as possible) Failing to plan is planning to fail. You have to see how all the puzzle pieces fit together You have to map out all parts of the project and create a plan before you just dive in. Plans WILL shift. But making small changes and deadline updates will be easier than adding in entire tasks that were forgotten or missed. Launch New Paid four-week Workshop Conduct Market Research Determine Workshop Goals Create Workshop Plan and Timeline Create Workshop Structure Decide on Materials provided Create Lesson Outlines Create Workbook Create Product/Payment Processing Create a Welcome Email Create a Landing Sales Page Create Thank You Page Create Bonuses Create a Marketing Calendar Create Marketing Content Schedule Marketing Content 3 - Use a tool - but it won't solve all of your problems with a magic wand Asana, Trello, ClickUp, Monday.com, Basecamp, Airtable - just to name a few You CANNOT keep everything in your head - Things WILL fall through the cracks I know you think you can. But be honest with yourself - things are being forgotten and falling through the cracks Every project - even the smallest one comes with many many subtasks, information and potentially other people helping Example: Batch Record Monthly Podcast Content Write four outlines Schedule 4 times on the calendar Record 4 episodes Add recordings to Google Drive Notify Podcast Manager Create 4 Emails 4 - Project and Task Management is ALWAYS a moving target Just when you think things are in place and working well, something throws things off the plan. Things come up; deadlines change, something was missed int he planning stage, something changed. The job of a Project manager or project/task management tool is to help you see everything big picture to be able to shift your plans as needed. New tasks, challenges, and situations will always come up. As a business owner, you are a project manager. Even if you have never thought of yourself as a project manager, you are managing your business, which is comprised on many projects. Project management is messy—the more projects you take on, the more problems that will come up. If you are still a solopreneur or very small business owner - you have to realize that you CANNOT take on 15 projects and effectively get them all done no matter how hard you try and think you can. Always go back to the big picture plans. Does this project fit into your goals, and does it move your business or life forward? I am a massive advocate for reverse engineering things. What is the end goal - what projects & Tasks will get you there and have we planned out those projects and tasks The Free Resources: www.bcohq.co/resources Website: bcohq.co Days By Design: b.link/daysbydesign The Productivity Pod Shop: www.theproductivitypodshop.co Follow Us on Instagram – www.instagram.com/brittanyandco.consulting Follow Us on Facebook – www.facebook.com/brittanyandco.consulting Client CRM: Get 50% off a yearly subscription of 17 Hats → b.link/bco-17hats If you LOVE the show, please go rate and review it so we can show up for more people like you! This is a great way to teach your kids the principle of creating a business. From the vision and idea to marketing and branding. The sooner we can give our children an opportunity to see how money is made, and how they can meet a need of a customer, the more independent and creative they will become. S3 Ep 54EP: 54 How To Use Email To Stand Out From Your Competition with Daniel Throssel

Most marketing emails are … boring. Really, really, boring. And Daniel Throssell is on a mission to change that. He's a sales copywriter who's worked with many of the biggest brands in Australia. So far he's made his clients more than $20 million in sales, and been called "the best marketer in Australia". Today he still writes copy for his clients — but he also shows copywriters and business owners how to write fun emails that stand out from the competition, build stronger brands, and make more sales. Best of all? He has his own daily email list at persuasivepage.com which shows you how to be fun, entertaining and true to yourself while still selling to your customers and growing your business. I will ask Daniel about how to flip email from being 'just another to-do' to something you ENJOY and that actually makes you sales! His three-step method that creates an email framework. S3 Ep 53EP: 53 Am I Scared Of Success?

Most people are scared of failing. But I think I was scared of succeeding more than most. Let me tell you my story. I didn't grow up in a fancy entrepreneur family. No one went to college, and no one had a job paying over $20 an hour My parents combined made less than $50,000 a year with five kids. I moved out when I was 18 and lived on my own. I worked two jobs to pay for rent and bills while going to school. The last business I worked for I gave my blood sweat and tears toward their success, only to be fired. I am very grateful for how I was raised, for my parents and my childhood. And I am very grateful for being fired. All of those things made me who I am today. So after so many low beginnings, why am I scared to succeed? What am I scared of? I know when I am in a place of growth when my confidence dips, I find myself doing admin projects and I avoid being around people and isolate myself. 2020 has been a time for that. I had a huge legal issue with a client that absolutely killed my confidence. It shouldn't have but I let someone else control how I felt about my work. I was finally able to get back on my feet and get back to serving people and then COVID hit. So then I just blamed everything on that and fell back to the, well when this is over I will do big things. This is what I mean when I say "being scared of success". Netflix time, working on the couch, working crazy hours on admin stuff - thats a time of growth that I am hiding from and running away from. When I see myself changing my goals to make them smaller - That's a sign I am scared of success. Because I know myself and when I have a project plan towards something - I knock tasks out to get it done. When I create that project plan and I have that vision, do I take on fifteen other tasks that keep me "busy" from that. Because I am being scared of success. So once you have acknowledged that you are scared of success and know that you are hiding from big things. what do you do? Write down worst case scenario that could happen if you success - this works for failure too. What are the bad things that may happen if you succeed What could happen if you succeed - People won't like you, You get negative comments You lose friends You disconnect from family Your ego gets to big Reflect on why you are feeling scared - does it connect to anything - what triggers it? Scared that if you make money - people will think of you differently That you may lose family or friends That you may be able to actually live your dream life Take time to feel scared and do it anyway Send me your thoughts and experiences, I may share them on the podcast! S3 Ep 51EP: 51 How to Be Productive During Overwhelming Times

We're diving back into Season Three of the Process for Profit Show! We are so excited to be back to give you all the strategies, systems and support for running your business and not letting it run you! I have some really amazing guests lined up this season that I cannot wait to share them with you so make sure you subscribe and get all the notes here and on my blog. So today I want to dive into the topic of Productivity during overwhelming times. So we all know that 2020 has been interesting to say the least. Maybe you have continued business as usual or maybe things have come to a screeching halt for you. I am hoping at the time of this recording that some things are getting back to normal. However, how do we stay productive during overwhelming times? I want to first start off by saying that even though I am the Systems & Productivity Queen (the name others have given me not myself) I have been struggling HARD CORE during these past 4-6 months. In January I was dealing with a client issue that resulted in a huge legal/financial battle. In February I dealt with a lot of mindset issues around that legal issue thinking that I wasn't good enough to do this business. By March I was finally getting back to a place that I was ready to dive in and get back to business and then the Coronavirus hit and it all went downhill. April came and I was dealing with home school and being home with the kids 24/7 while running a business. By the time May was here I was tapping out of homeschool and treading water keeping up with business, clients and the house. We finally got back on track in June and back to "somewhat normal" But during all of that, I was still pretty productive and still made forward momentum towards goals. How did I do it? Systems that were in place before things got crazy. This is why systems and processes are SO important during times of change. Here are the different things that helped: Asana - Personal and Business tasks and projects Alexa - Grocery list and dinner ideas list 3 P's of Productivity - Go check out that episode - end of day routine Digital Workspace setup Inbox Detox - My Email management system The Free Resources: www.bcohq.co/resources Website: bcohq.co Days By Design: b.link/daysbydesign The Productivity Pod Shop: www.theproductivitypodshop.co Follow Us on Instagram – www.instagram.com/brittanyandco.consulting Follow Us on Facebook – www.facebook.com/brittanyandco.consulting Client CRM: Get 50% off a yearly subscription of 17 Hats → b.link/bco-17hats If you LOVE the show, please go rate and review it so we can show up for more people like you! S2 Ep 50EP: 50 How to Scale Your Business With Media Features with Heather DeSantis

My guest today is Publicity for Good CEO and Founder Heather De Santis. She's best known for being a rising name in PR. What most people don't know is that she does it all while on the road, from a 23-foot AirStream. She manages a 15 strong team from all over the world and oversees an impressive roster of clients all over the world. Her nomadic lifestyle and disruptive, results-focused, and client-centric approach to public relations has allowed her to break down geographic barriers, deliver real, personalized service to clients located all over the US, and grow her agency--all the while allowing her to travel and pursue her and her fiance's dream of building a 100-acre homestead for their family. She believes in using media to build your business and build your dream. The 1st thing about communicating through media: You need to know your mission. What is the vision for your company Mistakes that people make: Over publicizing your business Failing to know what your audience wants to hear from you. Not following up after you have a media release. If you don't get a response, keep trying! Heather hires business coaches that help her create processes so her business can run without requiring her to put out daily fires with her employees. Heather prefers focusing on the end result than the tasks. She also recommends that you focus on work with clients you enjoy working with. Over the past 7 years, Jake & Ashely have launched multiple businesses, agencies and online courses... quickly turning profits from each and successfully selling one. The traditional route wasn't really for them...we discovered that they could use our knowledge and experience to successfully build OUR own dream vs. slaving away to build someone else's. So they got busy creating and never looked back. They found they were living by "We need the next client now!". They discovered working on a course route; they would have more flow and creates a consistent revenue stream and get off the finding the next client rollercoaster. They also realized they could build a list of clients. Developing a course is the fastest way to establish a business. Critical steps to launching your course: 1) Decide: Make a choice you want to do this 2) Get Help: Leveraging others to help you so you can get content online so you can get the course online. 3) Get A Plan: Make a list of what to do to make this course happen by a deadline. S2 Ep 48EP: 48 Five Ways to Attract Dream Clients with Carlee Pilla

Joining me this week is Carlee Marie. Carlee started her journey as a professional branding photographer; knowing the in's and out's of visual branding and the importance of it for businesses. But, after her immense frustration around social media "not working" for her visual brand as a photographer, she set out to find the "key" to leveraging and utilizing social media for business owners WITHOUT the pressure of having perfect imagery, oversharing their personal lives, or constantly posting selfies. Social media is much more than pretty photos and likes, it's about building meaningful connections and attracting your DREAM clients by simply using an effective method. Carlee developed a system that helps other business owners create social media posts that land paying clients every week without the overwhelm around posting. This system lives within her mastermind group called the Social Money Cafe. 5 Ways to attract your DREAM clients on social media 1 - Know who you're trying to attract in the first place Identify your ideal client - describe them like they're your BFF System: Sticky note strategy on categories + topics 2- Be in the right places Identify the best platforms to be on based on YOUR business, not being in #alltheplaces System: Make a list of all the platforms you feel like you need to be on, do the research for each to see who's mostly on them etc. - Google is a very real and easy way to research - unless you haven't systemized, outsourced, or streamlined all platforms - go all in on one. Then add 3- Post for them, not for you Being selfless and SERVING your audience instead of always taking. "Check in" - would your ideal client benefit, appreciate, or resonate from what you're posting - you are speaking to one person here. Show up as a CREATOR, not a consumer System: Ebb and flow (ebb is tide moving to land, flow is tide moving away) - create content when you're inspired. 4- Be a real person - not a billboard/salesman Have normal conversations in DMs and in comments - be likable, relatable, and trustable. Show your journey, not the destination 5- Find a "Happy Medium" Not being too hard core on "sales", or not too hard core trying to be an "influencer" System: Put it on a scale Left wing Vs. Right wing type thinking Join Carlee's FREE Masterclass on finding paying clients every week: carleemarie.com/brittany The Free Resources: www.bcohq.co/resources Website: bcohq.co Days By Design: b.link/daysbydesign The Productivity Pod Shop: www.theproductivitypodshop.co Follow Us on Instagram – www.instagram.com/brittanyandco.consulting Follow Us on Facebook – www.facebook.com/brittanyandco.consulting Client CRM: Get 50% off a yearly subscription of 17 Hats → b.link/bco-17hats If you LOVE the show, please go rate and review it so we can show up for more people like you! S2 Ep 46EP: 46 Cre8ive Growth with Craig Chavis

Craig Chavis is the owner of Cre8tive Craig and I met at a workshop that I taught back in 2019. We connected over coffee and found out we have a lot of the same ideals when it comes to business. We also both work with cre8tives. He has just released his new book, "Burdens of a Dream." Craigs Action Nuggets of Wisdom For Cre8ive Growth: 1) Accept your emotions, so you accept and build on logic to solve the problems or create a new business. 2) Adjusting to demand, online, changing services during the time of the COVID crisis. 3)Don't accept NO for an answer. Find out if you can go under, around, or over the problem. Craig's Insight On His Process For Profit 1) Craig had to identify the bottlenecks 2) He wanted to identify processes to make systems run smoother so he could focus on the future. 3) You don't have to suffer and hustle as an entrepreneur, so he found ways to generate profits without him being on site. S2 Ep 45EP: 45 Pivoting For Profit

When things aren't quite feeling right, you may need to pivot to a new business or idea. In the early 2000's, Jana Uselton built a local Home Staging business in Dallas, TX. She left Corporate America with the knowledge of business building and strategic marketing ideas and quickly built a business that grew beyond her abilities. Her team of 15 is considered one of the largest Staging companies that have helped almost 6,000 homes prepare for market. Out of the blood, sweat, and tears, she grew a heart to teach others and help them reach success. The Home Staging and ReDesign Association is now a platform that serves thousands of Stagers and ReDesigners annually by providing the best practices, tools, education, and systems to grow their businesses exponentially. Jana says first, ask these questions: "What's your passion?" "What's your customer's need?" You can pivot too much. Employees can get frustrated when one plan hasn't been rolled out yet, and you're adding a new pivot already. Give it several months to let your team get the first plan in place. Also, have a team that you can trust and trusts you. Jana Uselton's Process Tips: 1) It begins with your routine and mindset. What you listen to and your process. 2) Jana likes building in phases, a) It's just you. b) Your training other for leadership. c) You're not running things; you're overseeing them. 3) Get focused in the morning Jana's business webpage: myhsra.com Jana's book can be found on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Home-Staging-Book-Jana-Uselton/dp/1495135004 The Free Resources: www.bcohq.co/resources Website: bcohq.co Days By Design: b.link/daysbydesign The Productivity Pod Shop: www.theproductivitypodshop.co Follow Us on Instagram – www.instagram.com/brittanyandco.consulting Follow Us on Facebook – www.facebook.com/brittanyandco.consulting Client CRM: Get 50% off a yearly subscription of 17 Hats → b.link/bco-17hats If you LOVE the show, please go rate and review it so we can show up for more people like you! S2 Ep 42EP: 42 Getting Work Done, While Stuck At Home

Today I want help you with some tips on how do we create adaptable and flexible/productive schedules at home? How do we create schedules that are flexible enough to adapt but still allow us to make money? 1. Setup your new home workspace. Create a designated area in your home to become the workspace. Best if you have an office, but if not set aside one area. If you can't set aside one area, you need to have a mobile office and minimize your workspace - it will improve your mood 2. Take a step back from the business (or job) and really take some time to think big picture. Are the tasks you are doing right now, really moving you forward. Really be intentional. Intention will create focus and focus creates success. Take 30-60 minutes and really dive into your goals for the month. Decide on the projects to get you to those goals. Then make a list of tasks that go into each of those projects and map out the time needed for each project. Start blocking out time in your calendar. Then all you need to do is repeat for each project. 3. It's time for routine and schedules (as much as we can). The fastest way to overwhelm, stress, anxiety and feeling defeated (and depressed) is to get out of routine and schedule. Now is the time to Still get dressed and ready in the morning and keep the kids on a regular routine. To still do meals the same way (or the new normal way). Then block out the following on your calendar: An Admin Day, Lunch Time, Client Work Time. Use the BCO buckets - Business Development, Clients and Operations to batch your time. Check out my episode about the 3Ps of Productivity for more on the life and business saving routine Give yourself grace We are all in a weird time in the world - we have never seen this Times of uncertainty will breed lots of things. but we get to choose if we want to let it dictate our lives or if we are going to accept it and adapt. I had my week or so of letting it dictate my life, wallowing in it, feeling sorry for us and all the depressed feelings and more Then I decided that it was time to shift, and think of all the good things that will come out of it (yes there are some) So create a dedicated workspace, clear the distractions, be intentional with your time when deciding on projects, create routines and schedules (Adapted if needed) and give yourself grace!!!!! S2 Ep 41EP: 41 Four Body Language Tips To Improve Virtual Meetings with Danielle Nava Mijares

Guest: Danielle Nava Mijares, Nava Consulting Danielle is a certified body language specialist She helps create tools and tactics to help reading body language She also coaches entrepreneurs to help transition their job to become a virtual business. Danielle says meeting in person helps build trust, and trust is harder to build over the phone or in a video conference. Four Tips To Improve Your Virtual Meetings When on a video call, push back the camera, let the client see you this helps with the connection factor and make eye contact with the camera, not the person's window on your screen. Eye contact is critical even more on virtual calls. Wear something you feel confident while working.Check your emotionality on your face and your tone of voice. Be mindful of the time you are taking calls; make sure to have some downtime in between each call. Energy is contagious. When taking phone calls or video conferences make sure you breath and take time, space out your words. Remember comfort translates to confidence. The tone of your voice is very important, talking fast and vocal fry can cause anxiety within the client. When meeting in person Try and stand 1-2 feet apart, this is a prime area for a conversation. Tone and facial emotion often have more of an effect than words do! S2 Ep 40EP: 40 Jump On The R.A.F.T. & Stop Drowning

Rose Lounsbury is on a journey of decluttering and minimalism from Dayton, Ohio. Rose says entrepreneurs are high achievers, but they often need to learn to let go and let go of the guilt. This the same as decluttering in real life. Reducing paper in your life tips: Create one inbox; it's your "intake" it is just a temporary collection point to process. Have a one day of week where you R.A.F.T. the inbox to stop the drowning in paper. Read Action File & Trash Readable piles are magazines, articles, etc. Action piles maybe bills, invitations, or something that needs a response, or delegate it to someone who needs to deal with it. You can also transfer this to a digital To-Do list. File piles are for things you need to keep, but first, ask this: 1) Is this relevant? 2) Is this a recent issue? 3) Can I find this information elsewhere (online)? Trash piles, this may take time. But work through it! Deal with memorabilia separately, make a separate pile at a different time. Also, see Process for Profit - Ep. 34 Digital Detox for more ideas! Rose Lounsbury is a keynote speaker, coach, and Amazon bestselling author who helps busy professionals reduce stress and improve work/life balance through simplicity. After blogging about her journey toward a simpler lifestyle, Rose was inspired to leave her classroom teaching job and help others create more straightforward and more meaningful lives by owning--and doing--less. Rose spends her days speaking, writing, coaching her clients and online students to stuff-free freedom, and soaking up the moments with her husband and wild triplets in lovely Dayton, Ohio. If you want to know how many towels she owns, you can watch her 2018 TEDx Talk, which has over 400,000 views. S2 Ep 35EP: 35 Are you the bottleneck?

The first thing is to look at things differently and identify what's your bottleneck, what's holding you back? It doesn't matter the size of your company; these same things can hold anyone back. Common bottleneck locations: 1. Don't have enough processes (usually smaller businesses) 2. Confusing processes, unclear or not detailed enough (for customers) 3. Poor communications, managing tasks (team and/or yourself) 4. Too much work, too few people 5. Lack of strategy or plan, what now? 6. Lack of focus, need a plan to achieve Processes make training easier. If there are no processes in place, it can block creativity. If you don't have a plan, you can't expect anyone else to have one either. S2 Ep 32EP: 32 Be a Better Gatekeeper

As an entrepreneur, did you know that you are the primary gatekeeper to your own business? You are the one who gives the yes or no to everything you invest your time, energy, or money in. But I am here to remind you that you need to stop letting in all the things that don't serve your goals. In 2019, I learned this lesson the hard way. There were so many things I was doing because someone said I was "supposed" to be doing them. Yet when I evaluated the ROI on many of those things, I realized it was time to eliminate a lot and make some changes. Being a better gatekeeper means you are consistently reflecting on these types of questions: Does this thing (relationship, software, training, conference, etc) fit into my vision, my mission or my why? Does this fit into my one-year goal? Does this fit into my 90-day goals? If you can answer yes to any of these, you can say yes to that investment. If not, you can say no with confidence too! Are you ready to take focused action this year in your business? Focused action moves the needle forward! S2 Ep 31EP: 31 Plan for Profit

If you're as pumped as I am for the start of 2020, I bet you've set some pretty big audacious goals for your business. You also know that you've got to be working towards those goals every single day, but how do you achieve these goals without an action plan? Simple answer: you don't. So let's nip this one in the bud and get a plan in place, shall we? Today I will be helping you understand exactly how I set out to achieve my big goals by walking you through my own Planning for Profit Process for the year. This will help you see how I am able to work backward to determine my strategic daily tasks. Knowing your why is a critical first step of establishing your goals and I will share the biggest motivators behind why I love the freedom and flexibility of being an entrepreneur. And for those of you who really struggle to commit to a plan for the year, I want to challenge you to consider that this kind of planning actually offers you more flexibility because you know exactly what you can commit to. Bottom line: systems save you time, allow you to work less, and generate more profit. S1 Ep 29EP: 29 Minimalism in Business

Starting a business can be exhilarating and fun, but it's also really hard. So why do we have the tendency to overcomplicate the process and make it even harder? Perhaps you've read an article or even watched a documentary about minimalism as it applies to a lifestyle. It's a pretty transformative concept. Though I am not here to convince you that you need to live in a tiny house, I do want you to understand that when it comes to business, less is almost always more. When you are moving in fewer directions and utilizing minimal systems and processes, you are able to do things more intentionally and with excellence! When you can adopt a minimalistic mindset in your business, so much becomes possible. You are able to streamline your offers, services, and products. It also allows you to look at the big picture like your why and your business goals more often to make aligned decisions. Simplifying your systems allows you to identify what's working and eliminate what's not because you will be less distracted and overwhelmed by the demands in your business.
