Ep 397397. Greatest Hits - The High Achiever's Guide to Happiness, Confidence, and Success with Dan Sullivan

In this greatest hits episode, we’re revisiting one of our favorite episodes where Dan Sullivan shares how you can stop living in the gap between where you are and where you want to be – and start living in the happiness you cultivate by recognizing your daily gains of progress. Have you ever set goals that you thought would deliver you pure happiness once you achieved them – just to work hard, achieve them, and move on to the next without giving yourself a chance to feel fulfilled or celebrated? We all have and it’s something we should work out of our productivity-laden routines. How might we create more sustainable happiness on our road to achievement? Dan Sullivan has been working with business owners for decades under the program, The Strategic Coach, and was one of the pioneers of the coaching industry. We have a conversation around what it means to shift your perspective so you get out of the gap of dissatisfaction and live in the gain – where happiness lives. We’re always looking forward to the next goal, but we don’t give ourselves the chance to celebrate the successes we’ve had. This is common among ambitious people. The problem with this is that it undermines our happiness in the long run. Backed by his world-class expertise and experience in the field, Dan helps us lay the groundwork for this profound shift toward fulfilment. Do you have an opportunity to shift more toward the gain? If you’re like most ambitious people, the answer is yes. What’s The ONE Thing you can do, such that by doing it, would make living in the gain easier or unnecessary? Ep 383383. Forming a Relationship with Your Finances with Hannah Koenig

Goals are important when it comes to building wealth. And as we always say it’s crucial to form a relationship with your goals, it’s equally important that you form a relationship with your finances. Financial intimacy is a combination of emotional and intellectual intimacy, which allows people to separate facts from feelings when it comes to money and create a safe space for them to reframe and heal the challenges that impact their behavior. Financial intelligence is also important in understanding what actions to take and what order in which to do so. Hannah Koenig is a wealth business and leadership mentor for entrepreneurs, CEO, transformational facilitator, and speaker on the Forbes Coaches Council. Her mission is to close the wealth gap and help everyday leaders to be well-resourced. In 2017, she made the decision to learn everything there is to know about finances and wealth building. This was a difficult but empowering shift, allowing her to purchase a home and build a multiple six-figure business. Hannah encourages people to take away from this conversation the idea that they have immense financial power and that they can choose what they want in terms of financial success. Ep 364364. Harnessing the Power of Influence with Brian Smith

There’s a common phrase that gets thrown around when it comes to teamwork: “There’s no ‘I’ in ‘Team.’” But every team is made up of individuals—when we lose sight of that, the whole team suffers. Teams need to be able to work together as a whole, but we can’t forget to address the individual influences and strengths that each person brings to the team. And each team, or even the entire company, can be viewed as a single “individual.” That’s the thesis that Brian and Mary Smith put forth. Brian is the founder and senior managing partner of IA Business Advisors, a management consulting firm that has worked with more than 18 thousand CEOs, entrepreneurs, managers, and employees worldwide. Together with his daughter Mary, they’ve authored the book Individual Influence: Find the “I” in Team. Ep 361361. Achieving Promotable Productivity with Linda Babcock and Brenda Peyser of The No Club

One of the four thieves of productivity is the inability to say ‘no.’ Whether it’s a deeply-rooted habit, a desire to avoid disappointing others, or the (often false) belief that saying ‘yes’ will make you look good as an employee, this is a trap that is too easy to fall for. But saying ‘yes’ to too many things can easily push out your own priorities. Linda Babcock and Brenda Peyser are the authors of “The No Club: Putting a Stop to Women’s Dead-End Work.” They are going to share how everyone, women in particular, can get comfortable with saying ‘no’ to the work that doesn’t push their career forward while still ensuring that important work gets done. It’s the time of year when individuals or organizations look at the goals they set for themselves and wonder whether they set the right goals or if the strategies they implemented to achieve them are falling short. So when is it okay to make adjustments to our goals? We’re going to discuss what to do when your goal no longer feels achievable, or how to move forward when circumstances change.
