I don't know if we are ready to say goodbye, but we have no other choice. These two episodes are packed with drama, GGBs, heartbreak, and death. That is right Grey's BB's this week on the podcast we say goodbye to George O'Malley. He was a good doctor, who was kind and gentle, quiet, and then got hit by a bus and died. Goodbye forever George. Izzie can't remember a damn thing after having part of her brain removed...which when you put it that way, kind of makes sense. Then Karev says some shitty things to her, and she stops restartting her memory...classic. But, everyone is happy cause she remembers...and then she codes. This of course is all happening while we find out that the person who got hit by the bus, was George. Izzie walks to the elevator...she gets on...the doors open..and there is GEORGE. Tears. GGBs. One of the best scenes we have ever had on Grey's. Another 10 out of 10 scalpels!

This episode is big. It is one of the biggest of our lives. We didn't know it was going to be one of the biggest of our lives. If you don't get that reference, go and read the monologue. But truly this is an episode jam packed with GGB's and all the things that make it a classic Grey's episode. Callie and Arizona are struggling with their relationship, because Callie's bank account has been wiped clean and she is embarrassed that she has no money. George is calling time of death on patient after patient in the pit. He is discouraged, but Owen has a pretty sick teaching moment, encouraging George that by him doing the shit work, Owen could save a life...or something. Derek and Meredith are getting ready for their big day, until Izzie starts seeing Denny again and realizes her tumor is back. Derek does some scans, and finds out that it is in fact a tumor, and he is unable to remove it. So, instead of Derek and Meredith getting married...IZZIE AND KAREV DO. What joy! What surprise! What tears! This episode is a 10 out of 10 scalpels folks! You don't get that very often!

Izzie is not well and because of this she gets to plan Meredith and Derek's wedding. She goes ham, and creates an extravagant event that does not reflect Mer or Der in the least...but she has cancer so they go with it. Owen is in therapy, naming feelings. This is good. He needs therapy. Everyone is sorry, and everyone is asking for forgiveness, including Thatcher. He is newly sober and back to ask Mer and Lexie for forgiveness. This sends Mer into a spiral of yelling at a victim of abuse. Which leads to Chief screaming at Mer behind a curatin. Afterward, Chief and Mer have a wonderful reconciliation moment. They have the sweetest head on the shoulder scene that melts our hearts. This week we have old time friend and Grey's anatomy lover Amanda on! She brings great insight and great memories from our youth. Just because Denny told Izzie she is sick, doesn't mean she now knows what is going on. This week she uses Sadie her intern to perform multiple tests on her. It is solo surgery time. Cristina has to decide which one of her fellow resident's gets to amputate a dude's foot, even though everyone knows, including Cristina, that it should be her. This week Denny and Izzie finally have the opportunity to "make love" or what we like to call "ghost sex". What are the logistics behind ghost sex you ask? Mamma Bird is letting her baby birds fly, and fly they do...until Chief finds out Cristina knew about weird basement behavior and never came to him. Cristina gets pulled from the running for solo surgery. This leaves Mer and Cristina in a quarrel and we as the viewers want nothing more than for them to make up and lead their interns to redemption.

Death and die, the two worst nicknames ever…this is what we have to look forward to this episode. Meredith’s old friend Sadie is in town, and she is shoving Cristina out of Mer’s bed. We are not here for it, and we are not impressed. Hahn is gone. After Richard told her to leave things alone with the Denny and Izzie situation, and Callie was not expressing her feelings as deeply as Hahn she decided to leave. This leaves Cristina with Dr. Dixon, wishing for Hahn to be back, and Callie crying in the O.R. Izzie is still seeing Denny. She thinks she is being haunted by him, because she still has the sweater she knit him. She asks Karev to burn it for her, and she wanders back to her room where SURPRISE there is Denny. Welcome to a Twilight podcast. This week Bri travels down a deep dark hole of Bella, Edward, and Jacob (team Edward). Bri realizes she really missed the boat on a lot of young adult novels, and feels a little disappointed that she is reverting back to 13 years old again. Abbey OF COURSE has already read all the books and seen all the movies, because she is a champion of young adult fiction. Owen is back and he is stabbing pigs. This is not a great first look Owen. It is really moving for Erica, and she now sees leaves on trees. Callie doesn't have quite the same response and jumps in bed with Mark again. Testing theories and what not. Probably not the kindest, or most adult response. Maybe next time she should try communicating with the person she is sleeping with. Just a thought. Alex and Izzie get together, with just enough time for Izzie to loose her marbles. That's right folks Ghost Denny is in the house. Would you rather have hands that keep growing or feet that keep growing? Would you rather be alone for the rest of your life, or surrounded by annoying people the rest of your life? The hospital is number 12 in the nation and Chief has something to say about it. He is on a rampage, making rules and enforcing them and avoiding the inevitable need to shut down the OR floor. It isn't until the ceiling collapses from a water leak on a SUPER unlucky patient, that Chief realizes he is mega crazy and tells Bailey to call Mercy West and transfer patients. Out of control. George takes his intern exam again, and this time HE PASSES. Thank god we couldn't handle another loss for George. It's unfortunate he doesn't have much life left to live (spoiler alert). Meredith decides she wants to have Derek live with her, and she is not ready to let her roommates go. He says it is fine for now, but clearly it is not and he is super condescending towards her. She should have probably stayed in therapy to talk about how smug Derek is, but love is truly blinding. Cristina discovers Dermatology and it is a really special place with really special people and it seems like heaven. Everyone is bright and shiny and drinks fruit flavored water. Sadly, Mer, Cristina, and Izzie are all incapable of being bright shiny people and recognize they would never be satisfied dealing with skin conditions the rest of their careers.
