Interview With "Small Things Like These" Star Cillian Murphy
"Small Things Like These" had its world premiere earlier this year at the 2024 Berlin International Film Festival and received positive reviews for its writing, direction, and performances from Academy Award-winner Cillian Murphy and Academy Award-nominee Emily Watson. The film will be released later this year in the U.S. by Lionsgate, but we were lucky enough to chat with Murphy early to discuss the movie, his producing credit on it, how he's feeling following the success of his Oscar-winning role in "Oppenheimer," what's the status on the upcoming "28 Years Later" and more. Please be sure to check out this excellent film which opens up later this year on November 8th from Lionsgate. Thank you, and enjoy! Check out more on NextBestPicture.com Please subscribe on... "Speak No Evil"
For this week's main podcast review, I am joined by Josh Parham & Cody Dericks to review and discuss the American remake of the 2022 Danish film "Speak No Evil," also titled "Speak No Evil" starring James McAvoy, Mackenzie Davis, Scoot McNairy, Aisling Franciosi, Alix West Lefler, Dan Hough, Kris Hichen & Motaz Mulhees. Written and directed by James Watkins, this Blumhouse-produced remake is highly similar to the original film until its finale. What did we think of it? How do the two films compare? What did we think of the performances? Will horror fans enjoy this or be let down by its blow-burn pacing? Tune in as we discuss these elements and more in our SPOILER-FILLED review. Please tune in and find out. We'll return with a reaction episode to the winners after the ceremony! Until then, thank you, as always, for listening. We hope you enjoy this free full-length episode! "The King's Speech"
THIS IS A PREVIEW PODCAST. NOT THE FULL REVIEW. Please check out the full podcast review on our Patreon Page by subscribing over at - https://www.patreon.com/NextBestPicture Our 2010 retrospective has come to an end. "Black Swan"
Our 2010 retrospective continues with our penultimate review of Darren Aronofsky's psychological horror film "Black Swan" starring Natalie Portman, Vincent Cassel, Mila Kunis, Barbara Hershey & Winona Ryder. Acting as almost a companion piece with Aronofsky's previous film, "The Wrestler" (2008), the film examines the demands of perfection, the physical and emotional toll it takes on us, and the repression Nina experiences from her overbearing mother. It was a success at the box office, with critics, and during awards season, winning Natalie Portman the Academy Award for Best Actress. How does it hold up today? Join Josh Parham, Alyssa Christian, Dan Bayer, and me as we discuss our thoughts on the performances, writing, direction, cinematography, sound work, its awards season run, and more in our SPOILER-FILLED review. Interviews With "Deadpool & Wolverine" Producer Kevin Feige & Executive Producer Wendy Jacobson
"Deadpool & Wolverine" is one of 2024's most anticipated films. Arriving at a time when the MCU so desperately needs a shot in its arm, the third "Deadpool" film brings Hugh Jackman's Wolverine back from the dead after his Oscar-nominated send-off in 2017's "Logan" to combat a new threat, but not before they tear and claw into each other first. Executive Producer Wendy Jacobson and Marvel Studios President and Producer Kevin Feige were kind enough to lend me a few minutes to speak with me about the film following a preview I saw of the film's first act. Please be sure to check out the film, which is opening this weekend in theaters on July 26th from Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Thank you, and enjoy!
