But finally also on the media front someone else is mentioning Zohran is practicing Taqiyya.  22m CAR CRASH IN CALIFORNIA HEADLINE: Driver identified, arrested for DUI in deadly chain-reaction crash on 10 Freeway in Ontario by Rob McMillan and Tim Pulliam  The driver was identified as 21-year-old Indian national Jashanpreet Singh, who reportedly entered the U.S. illegally in 2022. The violent crash, which left three people dead and at least four others injured. The driver of the Freightliner tractor-trailer combination that slammed into the SUV was identified as 21-year-old Jashanpreet Singh, who was living in Yuba City in Northern California. He was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs and vehicular manslaughter. 28m GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE 41 million Americans are currently receiving SNAP benefits.  In fiscal year 2024, an average of 41.7 million people, or 12.3% of the U.S. population, received SNAP benefits. Participation varies by state, with the share of residents on SNAP ranging from a low of 4.8% in Utah to a high of 21.2% in New Mexico.   In fiscal year 2024, 10.6% of South Carolina’s population received SNAP benefits, which is the 30th highest percentage among states. This equates to an average of about 581,600 people per month.  About 4.8 million Californians in 2.6 million households receive CalFresh Food benefits now, and there’s nearly 2 million more Californians who are eligible but haven’t yet signed up. This is unsustainable fellow Americans. 6:35am cst SEGMENT 2 37m GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN This is now the 2nd longest government shutdown in history! The Residency Act – officially titled “An Act for Establishing the Temporary and Permanent Seat of the Government of the United States,” was passed on July 16, 1790, and selected a site on the Potomac River as the permanent capital (Washington, D.C.), in ten years times. Also, this act designated Philadelphia as the temporary capital for a period of ten years. The Residence Act was the result of a compromise reached between Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton and James Madison concerning the permanent location of the Federal capital. In exchange for locating the new capital on the Potomac River, Madison agreed not to block legislation mandating the assumption of the states’ debts by the Federal government. The compromise was building the White House, Virginia would give up territory and so on, the dwelling place for the President was created.  George Washington CHOSE who was going to build the White House.  There was no commission. He didn’t get permission for anything. Who oversaw the construction? Teddy Roosevelt built the West Wing. Taft made the Executive Office oval. FDR added the entire East Wing and included an indoor swimming pool.  Truman gutted the entire White House. Nixon added a bowling alley. Obama added a basketball court. NOW Trump is building a ballroom. In 1946, Congress authorized $780,000 ($11 million in 2020 dollars) for repairs. The mansion’s heaving floors and mysterious sounds had been known by staff and first families for many years.  For the first two years of his presidency, according to White House photographer Abbie Rowe, President Truman heard “ghosts” roaming the halls of the second floor residence. The first was the Dobbs case. The second was the 14th Amendment couldn’t be used to suspend a candidate from the ballot.  This will be the 3rd.  Based on the arguments yesterday I think this is going down in flames. I think a better form of government is in the very near future but having said that, there are things that need to be repaired.  One of those things is this abomination called Birth Right Citizenship. There never has been anything of the sort so how in the hell have we arrived in this situation?  How is it that the birth canal being in America makes that child a citizen by birth? Birzer  Marvel’s most recent movie, The Fantastic Four, was a brilliant and spirited defense of the dignity of human life and of the essential goodness of the family. Fascinatingly, its aesthetic was “retro” that of the 1960s—that is, a look at the future as if the future had been envisioned in the 1960s. Buildings and cars are rounded and sleek, looking like something at a World’s Fair or at Disney’s Epcot Center. Metal and glass blend seamlessly into one another, and everything is sleek, shiny, and classy. The reason this is done is because your mind and intellect think that good, flourishing, happy people occupied that attractive facade of a city.  Translation people aren’t aspiring for more misery.  Human nature seeks out good, true and beautiful.  This is why Walt Disney and other theme parks use these ‘fake’ old towns so much in their parks.  It gives you a sense of family, love, beauty and that old time feel of community.  Futuristic might very well be Mr. Voger’s best, and that’s saying something profound. Like the recent Fantastic Four movie, Voger explores what might have been had the 1950s and 1960s shaped the aesthetic of space flight and the space age. The book, simply put, is “retro”: a nostalgic celebrations of the Space Age and all its hope and optimism for a better and more humane world. The Space Age – I grew up in that age and it was a time of wonder.  Do you remember Lost in Space? I think there is, we have to deal with reality. HEADLINE: Florida man ‘maliciously’ started Palisades fire, then tried to cover his tracks, authorities allege by Richard Winton, Hannah Fry and Christopher Buchanan Jonathan Rinderknecht, 29, is accused of starting the initial fire on New Year’s Day that rekindled to become the Palisades fire days later. He was arrested Wednesday in Florida and charged with destruction of property by means of fire, which carries a minimum of five years in federal prison. Rinderknecht called 911 to report the fire, then offered to help firefighters battle the blaze, according to an affidavit by an agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Prosecutors accused Rinderknecht of lying about where he was when he made his first 911 call. The federal prosecution affirms a long-suspected theory among fire experts and comes after a nine-month probe into the cause of the Palisades fire, which charred 23,400 acres and leveled more than 6,800 structures, including many homes. Twelve people died in the blaze. Can you avoid being tracked? Do you use a computer? Do you use a phone? HEADLINE: Grieving father blasts pols for allowing daughter Logan Federico’s career criminal killer to remain on the streets by Richard Pollina  Stephen Federico delivered a raw, gut-wrenching address during a congressional hearing in Charlotte aimed at tackling growing concerns over violent crime and repeat offenders — speaking just weeks after the high-profile murder of Ukrainian national Iryna Zarutska. His daughter, Logan Federico, was fatally shot on May 3 while visiting friends at USC in Columbia, South Carolina, after 30-year-old “career criminal” Alexander Dickey broke into the Cypress Street home. The father said that she apparently laid there for 7 hours before she was discovered. Alexander Dickey was committing 2.65 crimes a year since he was 15 years old. Landry requested the troops under Title 32, which means that he retains command and control; however, the troops’ duties are federally funded and regulated. In his request, Landry said there have been “elevated violent crime rates” in Shreveport, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans, as well as shortages in local law enforcement. He said the state’s vulnerability to natural disasters made the issue more challenging, as public safety resources are strained, and that extra support would be especially helpful for significant events, including Mardi Gras and college football bowl games.
