Daniel Rodriguez | Heroes in Action

Daniel was one of 53 American soldiers who battled over 400 enemy Taliban insurgents after they attacked in the 2009 battle of Kamdesh. For more than 12 hours Daniel continued to fight with shrapnel embedded in his neck and leg and bullet fragments lodged in his shoulder. The story of that battle was just released as a new movie called THE OUTPOST which stars Orlando Bloom, Scott Eastwood, Caleb Landry Jones, and Daniel portrays himself.
