As a member of the media for 25 years, I can tell you that the media often scares people and puts out headlines that are fairly misleading when we talk about real estate as a country. That's one thing. There's another thing. When you talk about real estate in Texas, it continues to be one of the hottest real estate markets in the country. And someone who knows that very well is Michael Hershenberg with The Hershenburg Group.

I am a proud Catholic, and I have discovered that North Texas has such a vibrant Catholic community that I'm always running into people with amazing stories. My next guest has just such a story. Monica Ashour is with TOBET, The Theology of the Body Evangelization Team.

Most people would agree with me that there are two economies. The stock market is hitting new highs every day, unemployment is low, and yet the average American and those in the poverty zone are struggling. They're living paycheck to paycheck. So, when they see these highs and lows, it doesn't apply to them. Then something happens, like their rent being raised, and suddenly, they are in turmoil.
