I have a soft spot in my heart for iHeart Media because for ten years, my beautiful bride Victoria Snee was a morning show host at Mix 102.9, and the very early days of The Jeff Crilley Show were on 1190 AM at iHeart. I met this lovely young lady the other day. We were at a press club event, and I had to have her on my show. Amanda Nichols is in the studio.

I am privileged to have in the studio Chris Thieneman. He played for the Cowboys briefly a couple of decades ago, and he has an incredible story. He goes by The Kentucky Cowboy, but there's a bigger story than that. He was named the Kentucky Cowboy by Tom Landry when he was just ten years old.

In any conversation about legendary oilmen, you have to talk about T. Boone Pickens, who passed a few years ago at the age of 91 and was one of the most philanthropic people in Dallas-Fort worth. Jay Rosser is in the studio right now. He's the director of the T. Boone Pickens Foundation.

I love how life brings people back together. My next guest is a good friend. She's been a friend for probably 25 years, and she came back into my life through the DFW Press and Media Club that is getting back together. Laura Schakosky is in the studio. She's a celebrity makeup artist and a soul therapist.

There's something about the American diet. Can we all agree that the stuff they put in our food is just not supposed to be there? My wife and I took a beautiful trip to France last year. We did a lot of walking. We ate like gluttons, and both of us lost weight. I'm convinced that it's really how they process their food. When I came to Dallas in 1992 to work at Fox Four, one of the first people I met is this wonderful guy named Kyle Rovinsky. I mean, who doesn't like him? He produced for Mike Doocy for many years and watched the Cowboys win Super Bowls. You're going to have to Google that. It was a while ago, but then he made a bold move into entrepreneurship and became a very successful realtor. I've watched his career from afar for many years, and that's why he's on the show right now. We're going to talk about excellence with the great Kyle Rovinsky.

If you're a cop, you can't raise your hand and say to your sergeant, "Hey, I'm wrestling with something right now," because there's a stigma and they may take you off the streets. Perhaps there's a code of silence in which they look down on you because you're struggling, so there is an epidemic of cops, firefighters, and paramedics who are wrestling with mental health illness.
