Jason takes the lead in talking about his experience with the challenging Sifu game. Is it too hard or worth the price of entry? We all also play and review Horizon: Forbidden West. It's the sequel to Zero Dawn following Aloy into the Forbidden West. It's a beautiful game with a ton of great content a lot to do with a ton of dialogue. Is it too much dialogue? We also can't help ourselves from talking about more Dying Light 2.Pokemon Scarlet and Violet were announced during Pokemon's Direct. It's a surprising new mainline Pokemon game coming this year. After Arceus, we never would've expected another game but here it comes and it looks...fine. Cyberpunk 2077 finally gets their next-gen update and a ton of fixes for the game. Is it ready for primetime? PSVR2 reveals their new design that looks lot like the PlayStation 5 and that's a good thing. Oh and Bethesda is finally getting rid of their awful launcher in favor of Steam.In our discussion, we talk about the recent news of Russia invading Ukraine. There are a lot of talented game developers in Ukraine and we hope this doesn't significantly impact their development. In episode 341, we review Dying Light 2 from Techland. This zombie parkour game is a blast to play but a buggy mess. We also play Pokemon Legends Arceus and although it's a new change for the tired formula, we question whether it's enough. Brett also has a blast with the story in Life is Strange True Colors. It’s a well written game with a lot of emotion that even plays a part in the gameplay.In the news, we talk about Sony buying Bungie and what that means for their suite of studios. We also take a look at the news from Wolf Among Us 2 and explore whether or not Battlefield 2042 has a future after their delayed season. We can't believe Halo Infinite is finally here! Brett and Austin played the campaign and have some great first impressions to share. It was definitely worth the wait. With fresh, new graphics, a large open world and the new grappling hook, there's a lot to enjoy with this Halo. Jason also jumps into Alan Wake Remastered after seeing the reveal of Alan Wake 2 at The Game Awards. We talk about Rocket League Sideswipe as well which is a surprisingly great take on the full game.In the news, we have rumors of Bioshock 4 and the news about the Splinter Cell Remake. Ubisoft announced Quartz which is their take of NFT's. New World has some updates coming out regarding the speed it changes and it's new winter update that features some great new skins. Rumors have now come out about a possible, new Xbox Series X Elite coming in 2023 even though we can't get one now. Crazy! Brett is very excited to talk about Forza Horizon 5 from Xbox Game Pass. It's an open-world sandbox racing game set in Mexico that is about as perfect as a racing game can be. We also review Kena Bridge of Spirits. It's an indie title that released earlier this year as a PS5 exclusive that looks an awful lot like a Pixar film. We also talk more on Guardians of the Galaxy and Spiderman in Marvel's Avengers! In the news, Cyberpunk 2077 is finally getting good reviews from Black Friday and there is a Marvel MMO in the works. We also talk about Halo Infinite XP Changes and how hackers are affecting crossplay. EA wants to make a connected Battlefield universe and they delisted Titanfall on the stores. Finally, Playstation is working on a Game Pass competitor due out in Spring 2022.We close out the show with our discussion on the future of the metaverse. Something is coming in the future and we don't know exactly what it is. There are crazy stories of cryptocurrency going out of control, decentralized worlds being created, virtual land selling for millions and people selling their pixel art as NFT's. Does it live up to the high expectations of the movies? We also play the full release of Riders Republic. We had a blast despite some flaws and a horrendous story. It's a busy week this week! We have our official review of Back 4 Blood, the zombie survival game from Turtle Rock Studios, makers of the original Left 4 Dead. Arkane Lyon is back with a brand new game called Deathloop. We've seen a ton of it and finally got our hands on the full experience. In it, you play an assassin stuck in a time loop. You get to experiment with a series of sandbox levels using a variety of weapons, powers and more. Slowly experience the story as it unravels in a hip, 60's style game. Brett also plays Halo Infinite in the multiplayer playtest over the weekend. It has a lot of potential although it runs a bit slow on Xbox One.In the news, Nintendo has another Direct featuring N64 games and Bayonetta 3. We played the open beta for Back 4 Blood, the new game from Turtle Rock Studios. We're excited to see where this game goes but right now it feels like it's missing something. Listen and find out. We also play Nintendo Labo, the part Lego part game that Nintendo brought out in 2018. Brett spent time building some of these cardboard creations and it's surprisingly a blast to build! Unfortunately, we close out with our disappointment in Sea of Thieves. It's not near as good with the new update as we hoped but at least the Adventure mode is still fun.In the news, Blizzard's President has left, Ghost of Tsushima Legends is going standalone and the Epic Games Store was crazy expensive. Brett jumps into Knockout City with his EA Play Pro pass. This is a new EA Original featuring 3v3 multiplayer dodgeball, 1v1 and more. It's a fun, action-packed multiplayer experience with some simple controls and a lot of depth. Austin also plays Biomutant which we've been looking forward to for a while. Unfortunately, it's not what we expected and may not be worth the suggestion. In the news, we had a ton of new gameplay reveals this week. Horizon Forbidden West, Far Cry 6 and Dying Light 2 releases new footage. Austin plays The Falconeer, a game on Xbox Game Pass where you play as a falcon in an aerial combat game. It has an interesting story, voice acting and surprisingly was made by one person! We also jump into Scavengers which is a free-to-play survival battle royale game. It's considered PvPvE with both humans and AI characters. It's got an interesting concept but will it keep us engaged?In the news, we talk about more surrounding the PSVR2 headset which likely will include 4K, eye tracking and more. Sony also reveals some new controller colors. Discord rebrands and brings some new features and Destiny 2's new transmog system requires players to go 25 hours to upgrade one armor set. Insane. Ubisoft has announced their next update for The Division is called Heartland and will be free-to-play. We return to Outriders after they patched the server issues. Things are much better technically but could still use some work. Regardless, the game is a blast to play and the story is getting interesting. People Can Fly definitely delivers in the areas that matter with this game. Outriders is a brand new third-person looter shooter from People Can Fly. They're most known for Bulletstorm but also worked as a support studio for several Gears of War games. This is an ambitious looter shooter in the style of Borderlands meets Diablo where you play with friends through a full scripted story campaign set in the future. There are special abilities for 4 different classes, tons of gear and more. Is it something worth getting in full release? We're back in the addiction that is Valheim this week. We've now opened more biomes, entered new ages and beat more bosses and have some stories to share. This game is insane how good it is for early access and we can't stop talking about it. Viking survival at it's finest.In the news, Nintendo had their first direct in over a year and it was good but lacking a lot of excitement. This month on PS Plus, Destruction: Allstars is free for all PS5 owners. It's a game that was supposed to launch with the console but got delayed due to some complications. This is a destruction derby kind of game where players select a hero and jump into cars to crash into each other and cause a lot of damage.
