Ep 56From Rez Ball to Business to the PGA

Hello everyone,🔥 If you’ve ever doubted where hard work and vision can take you—this episode is for you. What does it take to turn a passion into a profession? How do you overcome doubt, and carve out success in an industry that once seemed out of reach for most native people? In this episode of The Good Tu’i Medicine Podcast, we sit down with a true entrepreneur and trailblazer from Old Pascua Cesar Balgañon II, PGA who proves that persistence, dedication, and an open mind can lead to incredible opportunities. From starting a business at 16 to launching a drone company in 2017, his entrepreneurial spirit was undeniable. But his biggest transformation? Falling in love with a game he once dismissed - GOLF.After years of relentless hard work, he became a PGA Professional, proving that our people belong in every space—including on the golf course. Now, he’s dedicated to teaching Native youth that golf isn’t just a sport—it’s a tool for growth, discipline, and access to places we never imagined. But success doesn’t come easy. From working in guest services to becoming Assistant General Manager at Sewailo Golf Club, he shares how showing up, putting in the extra effort, and staying solution-focused can open doors—even in industries where we don’t always see ourselves represented.Cesar also challenges the mindset that tribal and casino jobs have no future. Instead, he makes a powerful case for why these opportunities can build careers, empower our communities, and create pathways for the next generation of Native/Indigenous entrepreneurs and leaders.✨Connect with Cesar:[email protected]: Cb2pgaTikTok: Cb2pga(520) 954-5583NEW 🎥 Full Video Episode on YouTube!🔗 Watch & Subscribe: https://youtu.be/Vo71zhiGbOELet’s rise together. ✊🏽✨ Thank you to our sponsors: www.fivestar-productions.com Tucson Wedding DJ Service - Booked by DesignFor Guest or Sponsorship opportunities send inquiries to: [email protected] Hosted on Acast. Ep 502024 Tribal Election Results and Reaction

What a groundbreaking election and results! In this episode I will have my reactions to the election results and my thoughts for the future of the Tribe. We are seeing a generational change and shift in the workforce and our leadership, and it's happening right now! Generational change and leadership happens to all organizations and structures. S3 Ep 1Season 3! Coffee, Scooters, Broken Bones, and Drunk Drivers?

Welcome everyone to Season 3! In this episode I will share what happened on March, 10, 2021 and how my life changed from a traumatic freak accident that left me broken, unable to walk, and on an ongoing long road to recovery. So many questions have crossed my mind since that day. I should've said no when asked to volunteer on that day. I should've had coffee on that day with my colleague instead of going to the park. I zigged when I should've zagged. But, here I am grateful for each day and the journey ahead of me. Life is too short. I got reminded on the weekend before the 4th of July when my dad called me frantically and said he got hit by a drunk driver! Life can change at a blink if an eye, so be careful out there and take care of your family and loved ones. ~ Pete Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S2 Ep 10Food Deserts in Native Communities

Hello, friends in Relatives! In this special episode, we have Senator RedDawn Foster from S. Dakota and Mr. A. Agoyo with Indianz.com on a Panel to listen and discuss Food Deserts in Native Communities. What makes this episode so special is we had multiple speakers on stage from Alaska to Florida sharing stories and most importantly why there are still Food Deserts in their communities. Food insecurity is uncertain access to healthy, affordable food for true nourishment. Reservation food deserts are devoid of fresh fruits and vegetables and healthy foods.Listen to some of their heartfelt stories and some of the solutions/actions members are taking in their communities. Thank you for listening. ~ Pete Audio recorded via Clubhouse with everyone's consent. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
