COVID Tyranny Squashes Freedom of Religion

Guest host Adam McManus talked about COVID Tyranny over the churches with Daniel Schmid, Senior Litigation Attorney with Liberty Counsel. The Christian legal group filed lawsuits on behalf of churches in Florida, Illinois, Colorado, and California. In Florida, Liberty Counsel defended Pastor Rodney Howard-Browne of the River at Tampa Bay Church who was arrested at his home on March 30th for daring to hold a church service on Sunday, March 29th. Listen to the outrageous remarks by Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister and the bold remarks of Pastor Howard-Browne following his arrest. In Colorado, Democratic Attorney General Philip Weiser tried to shut down the Andrew Wommack Ministries conference on July 3rd. Ironically, Democratic Governor Jared Polis permitted thousands to gather in mass protests over the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, but mandated that Christians could not gather in churches. Liberty Counsel Founder Mat Staver said, “There is neither a pandemic pause button to the Constitution nor an exception for religious gatherings.” In Illinois, Democratic Governor J.B. Pritzker’s overreaching executive COVID orders prompted Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot on July 13th to dispatch police officers to shut down the parking lots and tow the cars of Christians attending Sunday services at Elim Romanian Pentecostal Church. Worse yet, they have been threatening to bulldoze churches which insist on meeting for in-person for services. After Liberty Counsel went to the Supreme Court asking for an injunction, Gov. Pritzker decided that his 10-person maximum restriction was indefensible. And in California, Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom issued a COVID order, shutting down in-person worship and home Bible studies. Plus, the City of Pasadena’s Chief Asst. City Prosecutor sent a threatening letter to Harvest Rock Church, stating, “Each day in violation is a separate violation and carries with it punishment up to one year in jail and a fine for each violation. … Your compliance with these Orders is not discretionary, but mandatory. Any violations in the future will subject you … to potential closures of your Church.” If your church needs free representation involving COVID Tyranny, call Liberty Counsel at (407) 875-1776 or request legal help on-line.New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com

Guest host Adam McManus interviews Gary Dean, a 69-year-old Air Force Veteran in Havelock, North Carolina who quit his job as a cashier at the Food Lion supermarket on September 1 st when management demanded that he no longer wear an American flag-designed face covering. His gutsy stand has been featured on Fox & Friends, the Todd Starnes Radio Show, and on ActivistMommy.com. He shares why the American flag means so much to him, how God got his attention after a bout with drug abuse and cancer, and why he plans to vote for President Trump on November 3rd.

Pride Comes Before a Fall

The whole world is celebrating pride unlike any other time in human history. Pride has never been this celebrated, this virtuous, and this widespread. What kind of fall might come after this kind of pride? Could the final judgment of the nations be right around the corner now? The problem is the minimization of God and the maximization of man. . . and the consequences are dire. But, what is the antidote for those who wish to hide themselves in the day of God's judgment? Evangelicals at the Crossroads

We have never had a President like Donald Trump. Some say he is our best president ever. Others say he is the absolute worst. Some look to him as a savior figure while others compare him to the antichrist. Some say that, as Christians, we must support this pro-life, pro-Christian president. Others say that by standing with President Trump, we have destroyed our Christian witness. Guest host Adam McManus interviews Dr. Michael Brown, author of Evangelicals at the Crossroads: Will We Pass the Trump Test? Host of the daily, national syndicated talk radio show, The Line of Fire, and the author of more than 40 books, Dr. Brown is the president of FIRE School of Ministry and has served as a visiting or adjunct professor at seven leading seminaries. They explore critical questions like “Does character still count and does morality still matter?”, “Did God uniquely raise up Donald Trump?”, and “Does a vote for Trump really hurt our witness?” “Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.” Exodus 18:21New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com

Hurricane Laura Ravages Louisiana:

Hurricane Laura, a category 4 storm, hit Louisiana on Tuesday, August 25th with 150-mph sustained winds and a 12 to 21-foot-tall storm surge leading to the deaths of 6 people and causing $30 billion worth of damage. 910,000 people lost electricity during the storm. For some, it may not come back on for months. Plus, there is no drinkable water available in hard-hit areas. Guest host Adam McManus interviews Todd Taylor, Manager of Samaritan’s Purse U.S. Disaster Relief on the ground in Louisiana. A team of 65 volunteers, equipped with 4 tractor trailers’ worth of supplies, are already removing downed trees, clearing debris, tarping roofs, mudding-out flooded homes and salvaging personal belongings. And they are doing it all in the name of Jesus Christ. The State of the Salt

We review the state of the salt, forty years after the Reagan revolution with Dr. Frank Wright — former president of the National Religious Broadcasters and Salem Media Group. What is the nation’s greatest need? Barna Research reports that more than 90 percent of theologically conservative pastors agree that Scripture addresses all aspects of life. Yet, just 10 percent said they were willing to speak to issues like abortion, religious liberty, and sexual identity from the pulpit. Here is a call for faith — for pastors, and for all of us. Lecrae — Squish on Sin

What may be the most popular Christian crossover artist of this generation is unclear on things like sin and Jesus saving us from it. The worldview of Romanticism and Relativism merge hard, to displace God’s truth and the Gospel of Jesus. Are all cultural forms neutral? Not at all. Glass House — Shattering the Myth of Evolution

How is it that 99% of the universities teach macro-evolutionary theories, but still 38% of Americans still believe in biblical creation? Yet, the disappointments concerning “evidence” in the fossil layers, the impossibility of abiogenesis, the complete lack of any possible mechanism for evolution. . . all these things continue to dog the heals of scientists. The hypothesis is tired and worn out, but still clung to by the pseudo-scientists of the day. The Problem with Lincoln

When it comes to history, Christians have a duty to judge righteous judgments, and clearly identify the sins of both sides in conflicts. What were the sins of the North and the sins of the South in the Civil War? In American history, we find Abraham Lincoln failing to acknowledge Christ as his Savior, and refusing to be part of the church. Why the seances in the White House? Why did the Emancipation Proclamation fail to free the slaves? Why the massive increase in government under the Red Republicans and the Republican President? Could America have freed the slaves as many other countries did without entering into war? We discuss “The Problem with Lincoln” with Dr. Thomas Dilorenzo, author of the new book on the subject.
