The Grandparent-Parent Jurisdictional Clash
Some of the most challenging situations come up between grandparents and the parents concerning discipline issues with the kids. How do we handle different values and approaches in child training? And, what about older children living in the home who differ with their parents' standards? We handle a few questions from the listening audience on this edition of the program. Will Jordan Peterson Save the West?
Jordan Peterson issues one more sortie in an effort to save Western civilization, suggesting that young men go to church. The question still to grapple with is this . . . Does the system prevent young men from exercising innate strengths that could preserve human society? Or do the systems enable sin that is already latent within young men . . . and thereby further compound the problem? Interestingly, Peterson is less impressed with the Protestant churches. What would a church that affirms biblical manliness look like? New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com
Was Hillary Better Than Trump?
Christian socialist Ron Sider passed away over the weekend but his legacy remains. Between 30% and 50% of the evangelical population have been influenced by his thinking. We take a look at his argumentation that Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden's socialist efforts to "reduce poverty" would do a good job reducing abortion in America . . . whereas Donald Trump would not "substantially change" or reduce abortions in the US. Sider insisted he used the Bible as the basis for his ethics, and his political positions. What gives? New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com
Kansas Voters Go for Death by 59% to 41%
As what may have been the last best hope for America, Kansas voters go against life by a vote of 59% to 41%—a complete rout. The democratic voting base is rotten to the core, even in the heartland. The US Supreme Court may have repented, but not so the electorate. What would revival look like if the heart of the people and the church repented? Traveling as a Christian
The first business trip recorded in history found Judah traveling up to Timnath—and it did not turn out very well. Kevin Swanson talks about the anonymity of the city and the resulting hotel porn traps that ensnare so many businessmen. Then we interview Theresa Bowen from A Candle in the Window Hospitality Network on a Christian ministry that actually promotes Christian fellowship around the world! This is one of the most encouraging and important interviews we have done. Rather than cursing the darkness, it is more fruitful for us to "light a candle," and that is what the Bowens have done with this ministry.New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com
Why Christians Shouldn’t Play the Lottery
Somebody won the $1.34 billion jackpot in the Mega Millions lottery, but check out the stories of those who live out Proverbs 18:20. Why would Charles Spurgeon, John MacArthur, and others consider gambling a sin? The Age of Greed has given birth to the worldwide economic disaster we are facing today. Here is how it happened.New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com
Is Abortion a Gospel Issue?
Millennials are especially upset with the church for being too political, judgmental, and anti-homosexual. But what do they mean by political? Are homosexuality and abortion political issues or ethical issues and sinful issues, which could be very well addressed by the Gospel? Is education a political issue, or a family issue? Definitions are helpful. We review a World Magazine article written by Kevin DeYoung on “Politics and the Church.” Is the church’s mission soteriological, or is the church’s mission to teach everything Jesus has commanded in His Word (per the Great Commission)? Do we equip the man and woman of God for every good work, in every area of life? New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com
The Disrespect for Marriage Act
Twenty-two percent of Republicans have squished on codifying Obergefell, and have joined the other side among the House of Representatives. This appears to be happening with the US Senate as well. Witnessing the squishing is one of the most outstanding experiences of our generation. But the fault doesn't lie with our politicians. The fault lies with the heart of the people. Seventy-one percent of Americans want homosexual mirage in place, up from 61% when Trump was elected. Trump did not bring a revival to America. America is not repenting. The Roe v. Wade reversal was not repentance. America is in tremendous degrade, and the problem starts with the church. New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com
Do Polemic Ministries Really Edify?
We remember the vision and ministry of Marshall Foster, now gone to be with the Lord. And, we look at a less profitable ministry of polemics, and the defrocking of JD Hall—once more or less the king of polemics. The goal here is simply to "take heed lest ye fall." Here are warnings to us conservatives . . . the censorious, and those with the "gift" of negativity and criticism. Is the negative resolved in the positive? Is the bad news followed by the good news? Do we attack problems and positions or people? New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com
God-Glorifying Art vs. Man-Glorifying Art
God created all of us with the capacity to create artistic expressions and to appreciate them. Sadly, a humanist world has destroyed art, but we are called to godly expression—where the artist glorifies God first, and not man. What makes for good art and bad art? How does modern art revolt against God in the forms of symbolic art, abstract art, or representational art? New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com
When Your Teen Is in Rebellion
Teen popular culture now has shifted into almost 100% Satanism, homosexuality, and suicide. While Christian parents want to protect their children from these ungodly influences, they can't protect their kids from their own hearts. What do you tell a parent whose teen kids are in rebellion after they've done "all the right things?"New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com
Christians and Music
Why do so many worship leaders look so "gay?” That's the subject matter of a recent blog. Is there a lack of repentance? Or is it a lack of God's authority? Are we stuck with weak forms and a weak faith? The influence of romanticism leaves us with homosexuality, effeminacy, simplistic emotional highs, and no real substance of faith, worship, truth, and life. We take a look at a "Call to Repentance" composition from Keith Green during the height of the Jesus movement. There is a vast difference between singing how we feel and singing what we believe.New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com
Fatherless kid finds God
How often have we heard about the devastating consequences when children grow up in a fatherless home? They’re more likely to drop out of school, become intimate before marriage, and even turn to a life of crime. But, when Father God intervenes, the sky’s the limit! When a fatherless child experiences the forgiveness of Christ, he can walk in his God-given purpose. Guest host Adam McManus interviews Greg Stier, an evangelist and founder of Dare 2 Share. He grew up in Denver, Colorado in a violent, inner-city family of body builders. He never had a dad and never felt like he measured up because his biceps weren’t big enough! But God transformed his family, one by one, through the power of the Gospel. Greg has written a new book entitled Unlikely Fighter: The Story of How a Fatherless Street Kid Overcame Violence, Chaos, and Confusion to Become a Radical Christ Follower. You will laugh and cry along with Adam throughout this amazing story. Plus, you can win a free book if you’re one of the first five people to send the correct subject line from the interview to [email protected] along with your name and mailing address. Check out the free Dare2Share resources, the Life in 6 Words Gospel presentation, how to share the Gospel, and the free Dare2Share Live event on November 12th which you can watch in your home or with your church.New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com
Why Americans Don’t Trust Any News
Americans have lost their trust in news, with public confidence in TV news dropping off from 46% to 11% since the 1990s—and another 5% in the last year. Public cynicism is high, partly because of a worldview of skepticism and post-modern nihilism sinking into the rank and file. What are the biblical standards for truth-telling and media? We go over some basic guidelines for identifying reliable news sources.New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com
What Makes for Effective Missions
Is there still a role for foreign missions work on the part of Western countries? The fields are white all over the world, often much more than what we find in the United States, but God's people are called to be witnesses for Jesus Christ wherever they are. My brother Tim Swanson joins me on this edition of the program to talk about effective mission work, family missions trips, and discipleship on the field. How would you know that you were called to missions? And what are some of the mistakes made when getting involved in foreign ministry work? Quit Ye Like Men, Be Strong
Four hundred police officers couldn't stop a rampage in a primary school, while one armed 22-year-old stopped a massacre in a mall on Sunday night by placing his own life on the line. What gives? A Tough Guy’s Search for Purpose
Whether you’re actively serving in the U.S. military, retired from military service, or you’ve been on a search for your purpose as a man, you’ll be encouraged by Chad Robichaux‘s authenticity. He doesn’t sugarcoat anything! Yes, he’s a Force Recon Marine and a Pro Mixed Martial Arts Champion. But he’s also incredibly vulnerable! Guest host Adam McManus explores his fascinating life story as they discuss his book entitled An Unfair Advantage: Victory in the Midst of Battle. He experienced successes and his failures in Afghanistan and in the MMA cage. But, most powerfully, he reveals the ugly truth as he struggled with PTSD, a near divorce, and almost becoming another veteran suicide statistic before he trusted Jesus Christ as his Savior. Chad founded the Mighty Oaks Foundation, which puts on powerful events, to help other veterans and their families. Chad shares parallel stories of biblical warriors–like Moses, Jonathan, David, Esau, and Ehud–who faced similar struggles and reveals the “unfair advantage” that led them to victory in the midst of those battles. His book is endorsed by President Donald Trump, Lt. General Jerry Boykin, and Dave Barton of WallBuilders.New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com
The Educational Cartel Unleashed
The most powerful union in the world and the most influential force in education is the National Education Association. And, the NEA’s agenda is anything but math and spelling. Listeners will be shocked at the clips we take from the NEA Convention held in Chicago last week. The organization is committed to advancing abortion (“reproductive rights”) and homosexuality in schools and every institution in this country. Why are Christians still holding up the public schools, given that the infrastructure is the most progressive and ruinous force in the nation? The only thing left standing in the way of the total ruin of our children is . . . parents. New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com
Confidence in Man in Free Fall
While we have finally reached the apex of humanist pride (and confidence in man), this also turns out to be the most disillusioned age in history. What gives? The Gallup Confidence Poll continues to drop year by year since the 1970s . . . sinking another 5-7% just in the last year. Men have lost reason and faith, and the motivation to work. The working male employment ratio continues to drop and has steadily fallen since the 1960s. Women accounted for 82.8% of the 372,000-gain in June payrolls and now represent 49.9% of total US nonfarm employment. The social security crisis has finally surfaced, with a $160-billion deficit in 2021. The $2.7 trillion in savings will be gone in the next 14 years. But, the character of the next generation is destroyed. How do we recover now? Here are some practical directions on this edition of the program. Americans Don’t Believe the Bible Anymore
Since 1980, half of American faith has dissipated, as measured by those who believe the Bible is God's Word. The apostasy is metastasizing now. Only 20% of Americans believe the Bible is the Word of God, and only 40% of evangelicals say the Bible is the Word of God (a minority). Partly, they don't like biblical ethics, and partly they prefer science over God's revelation. But, in the process, they jettison all certainty on basic issues. Has America Repented? Where Are We Now?
Four Catholic Justices and one liberal Protestant Justice did the right thing in reversing Roe v. Wade. But, why is America more pro-abortion than ever? Why so many deaths by high-efficiency birth control, the Plan B Pill, and the Kill Pill by mail? Is it too early to celebrate the reversal of Roe v. Wade? While it is true some elements of the Christian faith are toughening up, there is still a fear about speaking out on homosexuality and the use of abortifacients. American faith is still squished.
28 Percent Christian Millennials “LGBT”
Thirty percent of millennials call themselves homosexual, and incredibly, the percentage isn't much different for "born again Christians." The salt has lost its savor, now fit for the dung hill. The severity of this sin and the judgment of God have been too much ignored by the Christian church. Calvin College is encouraging homosexuality and has gone post-Christian. What would John Calvin say?New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com
What Justice Clarence Thomas Wrote
Three important technological advancements have occurred since 1990, allowing for the killing of 15 million babies, and rendering the discussions on surgical abortions almost moot or irrelevant. But then, Justice Clarence Thomas dared to speak up and point out the elephant in the room—the application of the 14th amendment to sodomy and abortifacients. Liberals turned apoplectic when one justice dared to touch the sacred cows of all sacred cows.
Southern Baptist Abuse Report
The #MeToo movement is dying off for lack of integrity within. And, the Southern Baptist Abuse Report lost perspective quickly, largely because the wrong worldview dominated the organization producing the report. We compare the incidents of abuse among the Baptists to the less-pious Catholics, and the even less-pious public schools (orders of magnitude different). Yet, there are deeper problems yet to be addressed among Baptists and all evangelicals today. Judgment and repentance must still begin in the household of God. Addressing the Bankruptcy of College
College education is bankrupt, and so are those attending. College graduates are in 34 times more debt (adjusted for inflation) than they were in 1970. The world view and social view has turned into something both Anti-Christian and Anti-Social. This is the stuff that destroys human society. So what are the solutions? We talk alternatives on this edition of the program. New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com
The Pro-Abortion Kristallnacht
Since the leaked Supreme Court Dobbs decision on May 2, 2022, radical pro-abortion activists have vandalized or firebombed 60 pro-life pregnancy resource centers, reports LifeNews.com. Guest host Adam McManus interviews Jim Harden, the CEO of CompassCare Pregnancy Center in Buffalo, New York, whose pro-life medical office was firebombed on June 7th, reported the New York Post. Harden said, “This is the pro-abortion Kristallnacht.” Kristallnacht was The Night of Broken Glass on November 9th, 1938 when Nazi leaders smashed the glass of the Jewish-owned businesses, synagogues, and homes throughout Germany. Jane's Revenge, which issued a May 30th statement about their “Night of Rage,” has claimed responsibility for many of these violent acts. On June 15th, Jane’s Revenge released a second disturbing statement in which they said, "We have demonstrated in the past month how easy and fun it is to attack. We promised to take increasingly drastic measures.” The group’s name is a reference to the “Jane Collective,” an underground group in Chicago that helped mothers obtain illegal abortions prior to the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision. In their conversation, they discuss: * The letter from 120 Congressman urging Attorney General Merrick Garland to investigate the acts of abortion terrorism. * How New York Democrat Governor Kathy Hochel called pro-lifers as sub-human. * Harden’s 6-point Pro-Life Equal Protection Plan. * How medical pro-life pregnancy centers will compete with the faltering abortion empire. * The dangers of chemical abortion pills which women are ordering by mail and taking at home. 15% of them will become infertile.New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com
The Black-Robed Regiment
On this Independence Day, discover how the pastors of the American colonies, derisively called the Black-Robed Regiment by the British, boldly taught their congregations the Biblical principles to resist tyranny. Guest host Adam McManus interviews Dan Fisher, author of Bringing Back the Black Robed Regiment: How the 18th century church stood for liberty and why it must do so again. Dan is the co-pastor of Fairview Baptist in Edmond, Oklahoma, a former member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives from 2012-2015, and ran for Governor in 2018. His vision is that the American church will regain the “spirit” of the original “Black-Robed Regiment,” and once again actively engage in defense of truth and liberty. In an impressive 60-minute, multi-media presentation in full period costume, Dan travels the country to portray these heroic men of American history complete with verified artifacts from our War of Independence. (Check out his schedule). Adam and Pastor Fisher discuss: * Pastor Peter Muhlenberg of Woodstock, Virginia who took off his black robe in the pulpit, revealing a colonel’s uniform, and challenged the men to fight. * Pastor Jonas Clarke of Lexington, Massachusetts who trained his men to prepare for the April 19, 1775 showdown with the British which led to the shot heard ‘round the world on Lexington Green. * Pastor James Caldwell of Elizabethtown, New Jersey who brought hymnals to the Minutemen to use for wadding to fight the British. * Pastor Naphtali Daggett, president of Yale, who rallied 100 students to fight the Redcoats, which led to his capture and brutal treatment. * Pastor John Treadwell of Lynn, Massachusetts, who kept a loaded Flintlock in his pulpit, and who narrowly escaped death at the Battle of Bennington in Vermont. * The disturbing similarity between the church in pre-World War II Germany and the American church today. Both have, by and large, remained silent in the face of evil. If you are one of the first 5 Generations listeners to email Adam at [email protected], he will send you a free copy of the Bringing Back the Black-Robed Regiment book ($20 value) and the 90-minute DVD or Blu-Ray ($20 value) that features Fisher in period costume along with other actors and re-enactors of battles. How Christianity Transformed the World
There is a narrative going around currently that promotes the idea that Christianity has brought oppression to the world. However, in reality, it is just the opposite. Christianity has changed the world by helping put an end to slavery and human-trafficking, oppression of widows, human sacrifice, and many other unethical and evil practices. The Rise of Gas Prices . . . and Everything Else

Pro-Abortion Advocates Turn Violent, but Why?
Abortion is violent, and pro-abortion individuals are threatening more violence. No surprise. Would you trust somebody with your life, if they would advocate killing babies? The Future of Abortion and the Social Revolution
Kevin Swanson provides a historical background on the modern abortion holocaust, beginning with the Bolsheviks in 1918. Will the social revolution continue with the vision of sex without procreation, sex without responsibility, 100% access to abortifacients, and homosexual sex without procreation? Will the dissolution of the family, of marriage, of sexuality continue? Will there be any curtailing of the kill pill by mail or the abortifacients that account for 90-95% of the abortions taking place in the world? Will the democracy vote pro-life, given that the US Supreme Court has turned things over to the populace? Will the churches engage a nationwide repentance on these matters? Thank God, three to five Supreme Court Justices went the right direction. But what will the voters do in November? New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com
Reversing 49 Years of Roe v. Wade
It was a first in history when SCOTUS reversed Roe v. Wade on Friday after 49 years of legalized abortion in the US. It was the return of law (and the Constitution). It was a decision that would decentralize power into the states. But . . . what about the kill pill by mail? What about government-funded abortifacients by Obamacare, which contributes the other 90% of abortions in this country? Importantly, the conservative justices went out of their way to confirm the sacrosanct position of abortifacients and homosexuality in the majority opinion piece. All that aside, this is a wakeup call for the nation, another opportunity for further repentance in the churches first. And the best statement of all comes from . . . Donald Trump.New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com
The Weatherman Reincarnated 2022
Revolutionaries were charging through the streets in turtlenecks and t’s back in the 1960s. Now they are dressed in suits, running the universities, and moving into positions as district attorneys in major metropolitan areas. Anarchy plays off on tyranny and vice versa, but they both contribute to the breakdown of civilizations. But what must Christians do? How do we contribute salt or light in our communities? Biden: Need Money for Next Pandemic
The president issues a cryptic warning about the next pandemic. The government and science that purports to cure pandemics is the same government and science that have the power to create them now. Concentrating power is bound to yield more evil, given the sinful hearts of men. When governments favor private companies like Pfizer, these gigantic pharmaceuticals increase their revenue from $40 billion to $100 billion inside of two years. Increasingly, police won't defend Christians who are attacked by anarchical forces in America as well as India. The zeitgeist discourages any support of Christians. The great cultural revolutionaries of the 1970s and 1980s, the great heroes of humanism, the brave pioneers exploring the outer reaches of amoral autonomy, have fallen! They take their place on the list of "the scumbags of the 20th century." We trace the paths of these fallen meteors—Weinstein, Polanski, and Woody Allen. From the Millstone-Drowning Department, the sexual grooming of children is on the increase—with enthusiastic support from the US Federal Government. Biden is cinching up on federal funding, attaching all the proper prostrations to sodomy with Title IX funding for public and private schools. We calculate the Federal Government has 20-25% control of all public education, including almost all of the 100,000 public schools in America. That's about $250 billion of tentacles reaching deep into the districts. Dr. James Dobson is now calling on Christians to get the kids out of these godless schools (and universities). 79 Minutes to Infamy
While shots were firing, children were calling 911, and parents were in utter distress, the 79 minutes passed like a horror movie at the Uvalde, Texas primary school last week. While not wanting to Monday-morning quarterback the police activities, we do wish to address the fundamental disposition of a post-Christian society towards risk. The constant concern for “safe places” portends a society averse to risk. But, safe is not the highest value. Righteousness, liberty, and giving up your life for others is a higher value than “safe.” The Church is not a safe place, but He prepares a table before us in the presence of our enemies!New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com
