The worldwide faith tradeoff from North and West to South and East was laid out in the 2023 release of Gordon Conwell Seminary's Status of Global Christianity Report—a stark illustration of the collapse Western Christianity. Christian adherents in Europe and North America as a percentage of the world population dropped by more than half between 1900 and 2023 (from 21.9% to 10.5%), while the percentage of Christians in Asia, Africa, and South America increased from 6% to 21.9% of the world population. The two world people groups had exchanged positions over 123 years. The South ascended while the North declined. Meanwhile, Islam had increased its pull upon the world from 12% to 25% between 1900 and 2023, and atheists/agnostics increased from 0.2% to 11.1% over the same timeframe. Well, today, on Generations Radio, guest host Adam McManus interviews Michael Parves, a 61-year-old native Pakistani missionary, whom McManus met personally at church in San Antonio, Texas, who has experienced persecution first hand. After growing up as a nominal Catholic who attended church twice a year, God got Michael's attention in 1993 when he miraculously survived a train crashing into his car. Since he trusted Christ as Savior, he has planted 33 churches! But Satan hates to see the advancement of God’s Kingdom. So, in the Muslim-majority country, Michael's spiritual antagonists have burned down three separate homes of his in 2007, 2013, and 2020—all because he refuses to deny Christ and follow Allah. Plus, his eldest son was kidnapped in 2013, tortured for two weeks, and left for dead at 12 midnight in the street. Open Doors lists Pakistan as the seventh most dangerous country to be a Christian. Five years ago, Michael founded an orphanage which now houses 87 children. (It costs $30/month to provide food, clothing, and medical care per child.) Children’s church, youth ministry, and highly age-segregated church programming fit well into the new social structures of the 20th century, but could not find basis in Scripture. Women on average are making 32% more than they did in 1979 (on weekly earnings). Men are making 4% less. In 2021, almost twice as many women than men joined the workforce. The trend continues. Of all the net jobs the economy added in the past year, 3.3 million went to women and 3.1 million went to men. This socio-economic formula is unsustainable. Inflation has eaten away the standard of living by a huge percentage since 1979, but the dry rot is more a character problem than anything else.

Almost half of Christians say the Bible is ambiguous on its teaching on abortion. Why didn't Jesus speak on abortion or homosexuality? Was He pro-LGBT and pro-abortion?
