Ep 208#208 Your Body's Super Boost: Demystifying Stem Cell Therapy, Uses for Autoimmune Conditions & The Future of Regenerative Medicine with Kevin Ferber
My guest today is Kevin Ferber from American cell technology. We discuss the benefits of using your own stem cells versus donor DNA. I am hugely curious about all of the stem cell therapies that are out there and this was an opportunity to add to the conversations. I have so many friends from athletics and other walks of life that have had huge success with stem cell therapy. As science and technology continue to progress, more and more options become available for individuals to improve their health and well-being. One of these options is stem cell therapy, which has gained popularity in recent years. Stem cells are unique in their ability to develop into different types of cells within the body, making them a promising tool for treating a variety of conditions. From athletic injuries to autoimmune disease. However, when it comes to stem cell therapy, there are two main options; using your own stem cells or those of a donor. Kevin Ferber will be shedding light on why using your own stem cells is something to consider. Look for the benefits of personalized medicine and the advantages of using cells that are genetically identical to your own. This topic is of particular importance for individuals who are considering undergoing stem cell therapy, and for those who are looking for information on how to improve their overall health. By doing so, I'm able to prioritize my well-being while making progress towards my personal goals.Additionally, I'm excited to delve into the topic of relying on data and technology versus staying connected to our internal selves when it comes to tracking our progress. However, I want to emphasize the importance of tuning in to our bodies and being mindful of our physical and emotional needs. We'll explore this topic together and discuss how to find a balance between the two.Furthermore, we'll talk about the fundamental building blocks for optimal health, such as proper nutrition, exercise, sleep, and stress management. I want to remind you that it's not just about the action we take but our perspective on why we're doing it. I'll share some of my personal experiences and insights that have helped me develop a healthy perspective on the value of health and wellness.Lastly, as someone who has trained for 35+ years, I've come to realize that developing a sustainable approach to health and wellness is crucial for long-term success. My guest today is New York Times best-selling author Laura Day. Laura is an intuitionist and the first person I have met who talks about developing your intuition practically and matter-of-factly. She has been hired by 30 different companies, police trying to solve crimes, and individuals looking for love, but she swears it is something we can all develop better within ourselves. Maybe not to the level she can, but certainly better to help us navigate our personal and professional lives. She has also worked with some of Hollywoods' biggest stars and has been featured on Oprah for her intuitive work. This was a fun interview because I came out of it looking at intuition and "psychic " completely differently. I'm happy to suspend my beliefs but it is made easier when someone explains things in a way that makes a lot of sense and has a 40 year track record. Laura doesn't love guesswork; she wants real-life feedback and proof that what she sees and feels is accurate. Laura knows how to communicate ways to help people organize a real strategy around figuring out and getting what they desire. Bryan's hope is to see if he could get into optimal health but also turn back his chronological age. I asked Bryan how long this experiment will go on and his answer is "forever".A lot of people have an intense response to his experiment, but rather than dismissing it or throwing some superlatives at what he's doing, I thought it would be better to go in and try to understand and learn from him, his perspective. Bryan and his team at Kernel are collecting data, measuring over 200 health points, taking pictures of his organs, observing the brain under different circumstances and who knows maybe it's all information that can help us. Power Life was created as a result of Tony working with specialists to understand how to manage his symptoms. With science-backed ingredients and cutting-edge formulas, Power Life’s portfolio of products maximizes fitness performance and optimizes wellness, allowing people to feel energized, strong, and confident every day, no matter their age or fitness level.Timestamps: Fitness is a Job [00:03:38] After 40 [00:06:20] Tony’s Kismet with Fitness [00:10:26] Tony’s Key to Fitness [00:16:08] To be a Movie Star [00:21:17] Life-changing [00:25:11] Muscle Confusion [00:30:37] Longevity [00:33:30] Versions of Tony [00:42:54] Tony’s Mindfulness Practice [00:47:09] Being Vegan [00:49:41] On Ramsey Hunt [00:51:08] Start Over [01:03:35] The Long Game [01:07:28] Animal Flow [01:14:27] Tony’s Strategy [01:16:48] Who Trains Tony? My guest today is Harvard Professor, psychiatrist, Zen priest and director of Harvard's Study of Adult Development (or 'The Happiness Study'), one of the longest-running studies of adult life conducted today. Happiness is something we're all chasing yet wonder if we're ever achieving. Robert's light-hearted, thoughtful yet passionate approach to the study of happiness reveals some hidden truths that can help us along the life-long journey to cultivating and maintaining happiness. Robert has a new book out called 'The Good Life.' The answers may be simpler and clearer than we realize. It's always nice to get gentle reminders to keep us on course. Ep 181#181 Courteney Cox | Being Okay Without the Answers; Keep Asking the Questions, Life In and Beyond 'Friends' & Her New Home Care Line 'Homecourt'
Our guest today is actress, director, business woman, mom, and all around funny person Courteney Cox. These interviews are always tricky for me as I've know Courteney for many years and feel protective of her name and image but do want to get into the deep stuff. Well, in this interview, Courteney goes there. Courteney is inspiringly open with her discussion. We talk about her new home care business 'Homecourt,' the life of an actress, her world beyond 'Friends,' her mindset on "aging" as well as important parenting lessons. Remember that no matter what stage of life you're in, the journey, the exploration, and the seemingly unknown doesn't end. That doesn't mean you shouldn't keep pursuing. Ep 179#179 Reflecting on 2022 | 5 Pillars of Health, Mental Clarity, Goal Setting, Constructive Criticism, Sleep and Alcohol, Crypto, Finances and Investing: My Producers Grill Me
In our final week of 2022, I do things a bit differently on the show. Usually, I'm the one preparing questions and conducting the discussions. For today's show, I sat down with my producers Tristen Bankston and Cameron Tagge and flipped the script. We cover all things Gabby Reece podcast: how it started, how it's going and where we'll go with stand out moments, guests, info and much much more. Hopefully this is something you can return to throughout next year to realign, re-center, and let it serve as a guide post for the things you want to do and achieve. Happy Holidays. Ep 178#178 Why Our Boys Are Struggling, Reframing Toxic Masculinity & Creating a New Script for Manhood with Richard Reeves
My guest today is British author and Brookings Institute scholar Richard Reeves. Richard's latest book Of Boys and Men explores the reality of what is happening with our men and boys in the education system, workplace and home environment. I wanted to have this conversation with Richard because as a woman who has benefited so much from the women's equality movement and title nine I was curious if it was possible for our society To elevate all of its members simultaneously. I have three daughters, Richard has three sons and our observations of what they experience is almost polar opposite. In so many wonderful ways we have changed the script, the only thing left to do is to figure out how to rewrite the new one for men and boys. I found his book a compelling argument for trying to figure out how exactly we all can do that.
