This week on The Finger Guns Podcast we get down and dirty with Cyberpunk 2077, dedicated an entire episode to our impressions (on PS4, PS4 Pro, PS5 and Stadia, no less) and what we think of the game so far. We jump into hilarious bugs we've found, the performance issues on each system and discuss our favourite characters and story arcs. We're all at differing points in the game so don't worry, this is a spoiler free zone. We also talk just what CD Projekt Red are going to do about the base-system versions, and after their somewhat lackluster response to the problems whether or not this game should have just been delayed until it actually was ready, like they said they were going to do back in 2012(!). This week on The Finger Guns Podcast, on the eve of Cyberpunk 2077 launching we talk CD Projekt Red's decision to not hand out review code to press outlets. Is controlling the message the right thing to do? Can they be objective if there isn't anything to critique? There's much to discuss. This week on a bumper episode of The Finger Guns Podcast Rossko, Sean, Paul, Greg and Toby get together for a current generation retrospective, discussing what's made the last seven years just so exciting in the games industry. We each take a turn to share what has been our favourite moments and take a second to reflect on the big moments between 2013 and right now. What have been our most treasured games? Has there been a major moment that defined the generation? We discuss, it's a pretty awesome segment, if we do say so ourselves. It's the 60th episode of The Finger Guns Podcast! This week Rossko, Sean, Greg, Toby and Paul dive into the weeks news and what they've been playing for the past seven days. First up we talk how Sony are demanding all games sent to Sony for certification from July 13th must be compatible with the PS5. What does this mean for the PS5 launch line up? Rossko, Sean and Greg join forces once again to dissect the Xbox Series X Gameplay Showcase, where a bunch of third-party partners revealed their new titles, including Assassin's Creed Valhalla (was it gameplay? Or was it gameplay? This will make sense...maybe..), Dirt 5, The Ascent, The Medium, Call of the Sea, Bright Memory Infinite, Scorn and many more. We talk our the games we're looking forward to the most (and the least), along with whether or not Xbox really delivered on the whole 'gameplay' aspect of the event. Did we really see enough to convince us the system will be worth picking up at launch? Or was it just a way to keep those already in the Xbox ecosystem without wanting to attract anyone else? This week Paul, Sean, Greg and Rossko tear through the weeks massive gaming news once again, with a hint of snark and a dollop of wisdom. Maybe. First up we look at the cancellation of E3 2020 and what it could mean for the future of the event. Will it come back at all next year? Should it just go digital and save damn near everyone the hassle of putting on the exhibition at all and does it really affect the people at home? All those questions pondered and dissected. We also look into the recent reports of some pretty brutal crunch over at Naughty Dog ahead of The Last of Us Part II's upcoming release and ask if it's ever a good idea. There's some differing thoughts regarding this and is well worth a listen. Sean also decides to get his rage on towards the PlayStation fanboys who smashed up their consoles regarding Horizon Zero Dawn coming to PC. He's not happy and nor should he be, you get what's coming to you GAMERS. Finally, Greg and Paul get excited about the possibility of Silent Hills returning with Kojima at the helm and we murder 'KeiferGate' once and for all. With Sean having a well deserved week off, Rossko, Greg and Paul jump into the weeks news and it all goes about as well as you'd expect when the grownup isn't around to keep us all in check. Still, we give a damn good go at talking about the ramifications of GDC's postponement and what it could mean for future events this year across the globe. Are we going to see more cancellations thanks to the possible spread of the Coronavirus? We try and take a stab from the exhibitors and consumers point of view, with surprisingly good results. Elsewhere Xbox have been waving their massive dick around again regarding cross-gen updates for their upcoming Series X platform and we talk teraflops and if it really means anything in the long run. Paul and Greg also get a little heated in regards to the timeline of the Terminator movies when we were supposed to be talking about the possibility of a Tom Holland fronted Back to the Future remake and Keifer Sutherland's name gets dragged back into our podcast kicking and screaming. It's all terribly dramatic. We also look ahead to this months big releases and see which ones we're particularly looking forward to, along with discussing how really rather good March's Games with Gold and PS Plus offerings are.
