Ep 70Current-Gen Retrospective | PS5 Reveal Wishlist | SEGA's Surprise Was....Surprising?
EThis week on a bumper episode of The Finger Guns Podcast Rossko, Sean, Paul, Greg and Toby get together for a current generation retrospective, discussing what's made the last seven years just so exciting in the games industry. We each take a turn to share what has been our favourite moments and take a second to reflect on the big moments between 2013 and right now. What have been our most treasured games? Has there been a major moment that defined the generation? We discuss, it's a pretty awesome segment, if we do say so ourselves. Elsewhere, following its delay we talk the upcoming PS5 Reveal event and share a wishlist of games that we'd like to see, even if some are a reaching just a little bit (yeah we're not gonna see GTA 6, sorry Paul). Do we want to see all new IP or are there classics and major PS4 games we want to see sequels to? Would we like the event to share a little of both? This seems the most likely, but what on earth are they going to be? There's a wishlist we're dying to see and the fact we haven't got a clue what's in store makes it all the more exciting. Are we going to see the console? The box it's coming in? Time will tell. Finally after discussing some rather pie-in-the-sky possibilities for last weeks 'major' SEGA reveal, our balloons are somewhat deflated as we talk about whatever the hell 'fog gaming' is and the weirdness of the Game Gear Micro. Seriously. What the hell, SEGA. Sean also brings us a 'First Line In A Game' Trivia Challenge, with shocking results, and we talk hands-on with the likes of Just Cause 4, Jump King, Carrion, Spirit Oath, Spiritfarer, Do Not Feed The Monkeys, Liberated and much more, including the most anticipated title of them all, Match-Three Puzzler Rune God (don't ask). Finally in honour of the Black Lives Matter movement we share three upcoming indie games from black developers we think you should be keeping your eye on. Enjoy the episode. Ep 69What is the SEGA Series X? | PS4-PS5 'Forward' Compatibility | The Case for Star Wars Battlefront II
EIt's the 60th episode of The Finger Guns Podcast! This week Rossko, Sean, Greg, Toby and Paul dive into the weeks news and what they've been playing for the past seven days. First up we talk how Sony are demanding all games sent to Sony for certification from July 13th must be compatible with the PS5. What does this mean for the PS5 launch line up? Are you ready to upgrade? Will there be enough games from your library ready for the next generation and will they be available? And most importantly, will we be able to play Maneater on it? Let's be honest that's all we really want to do. We also discuss whatever the flippin' heck SEGA are currently up to. There's talk of a 'revolutionary' announcement coming this week, and it's something to do with Xbox? What on earth is the SEGA Series X? Are we going to find out before the next podcast? I mean, yes. Yes we definitely will because that announcement is coming in a few days but whatever it's going to be, we're very excited. Elsewhere as Star Wars Battlefront II get announced as June's second PS Plus game, there's talk that it's not worth playing (even though it's free?). So we put our heads together to come up with reasons why it's very much worth diving into whilst it's available for absolutely nothing at all. Elsewhere Sean sets us an Open World Location Trivia Challenge to see how well we know our massive worlds that we can do whatever we want in. We also talk hands on with Minecraft Dungeons, A Fold Apart, Gunman Clive HD, Fly Punch Boom!, Ys Memories of Celceta, SnowRunner, The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, Jump King, Just Cause 4 and yes, Greg is back on Sekiro Shadows Die Twice. Some things never change around these parts.Indie CornerDread X Collection https://store.steampowered.com/app/1296510/Dread_X_Collection/The Red Lantern https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/product/the-red-lantern/homeEver Forward https://store.steampowered.com/app/1325290/Ever_Forward_Prologue/Across the Grooves https://store.steampowered.com/app/957820/Across_the_Grooves/ALL THE PLACES WE ARE: https://linktr.ee/fingerguns Theme Music – Don’t Feel (So Low) – Mid-Air Machine. | Indie Corner Jingle written and produced by Sarah Finney | Podcast Edited and Produced by Ross Keniston | Published by Podbean. Ep 68Steve Thornton is here! | #TheSnyderCut Lives! | Mortal Kombat 11 Aftermath Woes
EThis week on The Finger Guns Podcast the ENTIRE team is here as Rossko, Greg, Sean, Paul and Toby get our heads down with the weeks biggest gaming/nerd culture news and not only that, we have a guest! Joining us is Sperasoft's Steve Thornton who jumps on to talk his previous live at TT Games, his thoughts on Unreal Engine 5 along with his love for the design aesthetics in Doom Eternal and Sekiro, as well as lockdown living in St. Petersburg. We have an extended, fascinating chat with Steve which is well worth diving into. Our Trivia Challenge returns with Sean challenging us with a 3D Platformer quiz, can Toby get a point on the board after last weeks disastrous debut showing? Well, you'll have to listen I suppose. We also talk the obscene asking price of every little piece of Mortal Kombat 11 Kontent (heh) with Greg delivering a passionate retort to NetherRealms business practices. Are they treating the early adopters fairly? Should we really be paying over £100 for every piece of content? We discuss. Finally, well it's The Snyder Cut isn't it. It's actually real and our resident DC fanboy Paul has some thoughts on what it all could mean. Once, y'kno, once it's explained to him what on earth is going on because it's never quite a planet he's ever present upon. What other works of creative endeavour do we want sliced up and remade? It's a fun discusssion. There's a lot to love in this weeks bumper episode, along with thoughts on Maneater, Saints Row The Third Remastered, Forza Street, Rossko's further impressions of Google Stadia and more. Ep 67Epic's Unreal Engine 5 is incredible | Ghost of Tsushima Gameplay Reaction | Tony Hawk 1+2 Remastered
EThis week on The Finger Guns Podcast we welcome the latest member of the team Toby Andersen for the first time to talk Unreal Engine 5, Ghost of Tsushima and Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2! First up we jump deep into the rather tremendous Unreal Engine 5 PS5 demo and what we think it can offer the next generation. When are we going to see the fruits of its labour? Has it convinced us that the next-gen is going to be a genuine step up? After a rather disappointing week from Xbox there appears to still be something truly revolutionary on the way. Following that we talk the Ghost of Tsushima State of Play presentation and just about manage to talk with our jaws still very much dropped. There's still so much to learn about the game but what they've displayed so far is making us very excited. Did you see the wind?! Also, what's up with the soundtrack on this new Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1+2 Remaster? The biggest questions answered. Sean also returns with the Indie Corner to talk Titan Chaser, NYX The Awakening and Sanity of Morris and throws Toby in at the deep end with a video game quote Trivia Challenge and he is not messing around. We also talk hands on with Fury Unleashed, Cloudpunk, Huntdown, Ion Fury, What The Golf?, Telling Lies, Music Racer (great title), The Wonderful 101 Remastered, NBA 2K20 on Stadia and a whole bunch more. SO MANY GAMES. Enjoy the episode, friends. Ep 66PlayStation's Next Move After Xbox's Poor Week | Is Mafia 4 incoming? | The Last of Us Part II Trailer Talk
EThis week on The Finger Guns Podcast Rossko, Sean and Paul delve into the weeks gaming news, primarily the fallout of Xbox's lukewarm Gameplay Showcase. What was needed to really make it sing? Are Microsoft destined to make the same mistakes as the last generation? And what does this mean for PlayStation's future marketing for PS5? Will they hold back or pick up the pieces with a showcase of their own? Time will tell, there are excellent points made by Sean and Paul in this conversation so it's well worth a listen. Elsewhere a new Prince of Persia game was revealed! Well, kind of. We dust off our sands of time to decipher what the cancellation of Redemption meant for Ubisoft's subsequent output. Also, what is the Mafia Twitter account teasing? With a delightfully vague tweet tongues were certainly wagging as to what's next for the crime series and we try to figure out what it could all mean. We also discover that Paul forgot he watched the new Last of Us 2 trailer this week when we attempt to ask him about it. We also talk hands-on with Arcade Spirits, Sean *finally* starting Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Rossko jumping back into The Last of Us and The Eternal Castle Remastered, the shiny new version of a game that never existed. Finally, Sean returns with another 'name-that-game-by-the-character-list' Trivia Challenge, Paul tells us about his Game of the Year So Far, Rossko tries to explain the wonders of colonialism in Animal Crossing New Horizons. Yeah, you're going to want to listen to understand that statement.... | Theme Music – Don’t Feel (So Low) – Mid-Air Machine. | Indie Corner Jingle written and produced by Sarah Finney | Podcast Edited and Produced by Ross Keniston | Published by Podbean.Team: @FNGRGNS / Rossko – @RosskoKeniston / Paul – @ThePaulCollett / Greg – @GregatonBomb / Sean – @Omac_Brother / Facebook: FingerGunsUK / Twitch – twitch.tv/fingergunsdotnet /If you enjoyed this podcast or any of our content, please consider supporting our Patreon > http://www.patreon.com/fingerguns. Ep 65Xbox Series X Gameplay Showcase Reaction Special
ERossko, Sean and Greg join forces once again to dissect the Xbox Series X Gameplay Showcase, where a bunch of third-party partners revealed their new titles, including Assassin's Creed Valhalla (was it gameplay? Or was it gameplay? This will make sense...maybe..), Dirt 5, The Ascent, The Medium, Call of the Sea, Bright Memory Infinite, Scorn and many more. We talk our the games we're looking forward to the most (and the least), along with whether or not Xbox really delivered on the whole 'gameplay' aspect of the event. Did we really see enough to convince us the system will be worth picking up at launch? Or was it just a way to keep those already in the Xbox ecosystem without wanting to attract anyone else? There's a fair bit to discuss, along with looking at the games first announced Smart Delivery games (ie the ones you can carry from Xbox One to Xbox Series X). Finally, let's just say if you want to hear Sean GO OFF on Assassin's Creed Valhalla, well you've come to the right place. It's biblical. One more thing, the intro music is the official Xbox Series X boot up sound. You're welcome. DETAILS. | Theme Music – Don’t Feel (So Low) – Mid-Air Machine. | Indie Corner Jingle written and produced by Sarah Finney | Podcast Edited and Produced by Ross Keniston | Published by Podbean.Team: @FNGRGNS / Rossko – @RosskoKeniston / Paul – @ThePaulCollett / Greg – @GregatonBomb / Sean – @Omac_Brother / Facebook: FingerGunsUK / Twitch – twitch.tv/fingergunsdotnet /If you enjoyed this podcast or any of our content, please consider supporting our Patreon > http://www.patreon.com/fingerguns. Ep 64Games of The Year (So Far) | Assassin's Creed Valhalla Reaction | Xbox Series X Showcase Predictions
EThis week on The Finger Guns Podcast Rossko, Sean and Greg celebrate three years of Finger Guns! It's our birthday and we're gonna do whatever the hell we want, and whatever the hell we want to do is record a podcast, apparently. So here it is! This week we talk our favourite games of the year so far, and look forward to what's ahead with The Last of Us Part II and Ghosts of Tsushima getting new release dates. We also talk our reaction to that rather stonking Assassin's Creed Valhalla reveal trailer and one crucial change we'd add to make it even better. Are we on board for more 'Creed That Isn't Creed'? We discuss. Elsewhere we talk what we could be seeing at this weeks Xbox Series X Gameplay Showcase along with our own hopes for the event, Greg talks continuing his playthrough of Final Fantasy VII Remake and jumping back into L.A. Noire, Rossko talks his ongoing adventures with Google Stadia along with Streets of Rage 4 and Moving Out while Sean talks us through every single game he's played this week(!), including Z, Warborn, Ghost Sweeper and Deliver Us The Moon. Finally Sean returns to the quizmaster hotseat for this weeks Activision themed Trivia Challenge and brings us a shiny new Indie Corner full of gems you won't want to miss. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US! Ep 63Horizon Zero Dawn Trilogy? | That Xbox Series X logo... | Snowrunner Impressions
EThis week on The Finger Guns Podcast Rossko, Greg and Paul attempt to work their way through the weeks news, of which there was very little. Horizon Zero Dawn may become a trilogy according to reports this week, what would we want from them? Will Aloy fit in well in a new setting and what does this mean for the possibility of future Killzone titles? We discuss. Also Paul shares his design expertise in regards to the leaked Xbox Series X logo. Is it good? Is it bad? We ask the man himself to talk us through the thinking around the concept. Elsewhere Paul steps up to the quizmaster's chair this week with a quiz so unfathomably difficult Greg and Rossko are genuinely worried it may harm their credibility. We also talk Snowrunner impressions and Greg's continuing thoughts on Final Fantasy VII Remake. Rossko also talks hands-on with Team17's new party game Moving Out along with Fortnite's incredible Astronomical event, along with updating us on this ongoing adventures with Animal Crossing New Horizons. We also talk meeting celebrities and which ones were dicks, along with having a competition on who has had the worst medical emergency in their lifetime. Hey, it's been a quiet week, ok? Ep 62Do We Want A PlayStation Robot Buddy? | PS5 launch shortages | Crysis Remastered
EThis week on The Finger Guns Podcast the gang are back together once again to talk through the weeks news such as the possibility of PlayStation 5 launch unit shortages. Are we even ready for next-gen? We discuss the effect of Coronavirus on year-end release dates and if we should expect Sony to bump up the price to cover what's under the hood. It's all rather worrying. We also stick with Sony to talk their utterly bizarre patent that was recently discovered showcasing a physical AI robot companion that will play video games with you and tell you when to go to bed. Yeah, that's an actual thing that Sony has either once considered or will move forward with into the next generation. You should probably take a listen to our NSFW impressions on this really rather terrifying patent. We also talk the upcoming Crysis remaster for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Switch(?!). Finally Greg and Sean pay tribute to Paul Haddad, the voice of Leon S Kennedy in Resident Evil 2, who passed away this week. Sean also puts our Mega Drive knowledge to the test in this weeks Trivia Challenge. We also talk our continuing adventures with Final Fantasy VII Remake, The Inner Friend, Animal Crossing New Horizons and a bunch of games that we're all playing that we can't currently talk about. Yeah, it's not hugely informative. That's the Finger Guns Guarantee! Ep 61Resident Evil 4 Remake *Is* Happening | PS5 Controller Reactions | Final Fantasy VII Remake Impressions
EThis week on The Finger Guns Podcast technical issues batter our productivity as four becomes two in the space of a few minutes. The survivors, Rossko and Sean, take it upon themselves to tear through the weeks news featuring confirmation-ish of the expected Resident Evil 4 Remake and whether or not it's the correct choice in the series to get the shiny Capcom remake gold dust sprinkled upon it. We also take a deep dive into the PlayStation 5 controller DualSense. Do we like the look of it? Is there more to it than meets the eye? What can it tell us about the design of the console? We delve into these questions and a whole load more regarding Sony's slow dripfeed of information in regards to its new console. Elsewhere we talk some substantial updates coming to Streets of Rage 4 and of course, share our spoiler free impressions of the Final Fantasy VII Remake. There's an awful lot to discuss but we keep it as spoiler-free as we can. Oh, it's so good isn't it? Finally Sean tests Rossko and only Rossko on a fiendish Assassin's Creed Trivia Challenge. Will Rossko prevail? I mean, he's the only one playing so yeah...yeah he does. It's pretty damn spectacular how he makes it happen, though. There's also Hands-On with Null Drifter, Snakeybus, Biped, Animal Crossing New Horizons, Greg's continuing adventures with Resident Evil 3 on the hunt for that Platinum, Construction Simulator 3 Console Edition, Save Your Nuts and Rossko talks his first ever in-home experience with Google Stadia. You might be surprised to hear what he thinks. EThis week on The Finger Guns Podcast we are joined by James Parker, head honcho of Ground Shatter (Rico, Skyscrappers)! We go deep into their exciting new game, deck-building fighter Fights In Tight Spaces and talk about Rossko and Sean's love of RICO, along with how Ground Shatter are dealing with developing a new game whilst self-isolating and most importantly. James' official ranking of the Fast and Furious franchise. We also discuss how a virus outbreak has officially delayed the sequel to the biggest game ever about a virus outbreak and most distressingly, the horrendous backlash from a community of 'gamers'. Ugh. The BAFTA Games Awards were also this week so we go into the winners and discuss if they were the worthy victors. What else would we have liked to have seen win? We discuss. Greg also talks playing and finishing Resident Evil 3 (you may have heard him mention it before?) and restarting Nier: Automata. We also say the word Tubbz an awful lot and we talk his Luigi memorial in Animal Crossing, it's quite the harrowing story. It's a fun chat. Elsewhere deep dive into the worlds problems and worry very much only on the upcoming slate of game releases and if we're going to see them at all - the gamers are the real losers here, guys - following the possible physical copy delay of Resident Evil 3 and Final Fantasy VII Remake. Where do pre-orders at retail stores end up? Will they be honoured? We try to decode. The biggest story of the week though goes to Epic Games and their groundbreaking publishing deal for Remedy, Playdead and Gen Design. Will it encourage other publishing wings to step up their financial commitment to developers? Sean weighs in on the subject with a mighty aplomb, there's plenty to discuss. Finally Sean brings back a classic for this weeks Trivia Challenge and we talk about the upcoming slate of releases, including ones we've played. Ep 58E3 2020 Cancelled | Naughty Dog Crunch | Is Silent Hills Returning?
EThis week Paul, Sean, Greg and Rossko tear through the weeks massive gaming news once again, with a hint of snark and a dollop of wisdom. Maybe. First up we look at the cancellation of E3 2020 and what it could mean for the future of the event. Will it come back at all next year? Should it just go digital and save damn near everyone the hassle of putting on the exhibition at all and does it really affect the people at home? All those questions pondered and dissected. We also look into the recent reports of some pretty brutal crunch over at Naughty Dog ahead of The Last of Us Part II's upcoming release and ask if it's ever a good idea. There's some differing thoughts regarding this and is well worth a listen. Sean also decides to get his rage on towards the PlayStation fanboys who smashed up their consoles regarding Horizon Zero Dawn coming to PC. He's not happy and nor should he be, you get what's coming to you GAMERS. Finally, Greg and Paul get excited about the possibility of Silent Hills returning with Kojima at the helm and we murder 'KeiferGate' once and for all. In Sean's indie corner we talk Orbitals and BFF Or Die, along with [REDACTED] from [REDACTED] [REDACTED]. Yeah, that one is very exciting. There's also a Grand Theft Auto Trivia Challenge. How far back does your knowledge of the biggest game franchise of all time go? Have a listen and find out. Ep 57The PS2 Turns 20! | Final Fantasy VII Remake Hands-On | The Last of Us TV Series Hopes and Concerns
EThis week on a jam-packed episode Rossko, Sean and Greg delve into the bevy of the weeks news including celebrating the iconic PlayStation 2's 20th Birthday. We reminisce our favourite memories of the console and the lasting legacy it still has to this day as the highest-selling console of all time. We also delve into every single BAFTA Games Awards nomination and what we'd like to win from each category (A Plague Tale with only one nomination? Give me a break, BAFTA...). We also talk our hopes and dreams and concerns about the recently announced 'The Last of Us' TV series from HBO and who we would cast as Joel and Ellie, with absolutely no sign of Hugh Jackman anywhere near it, thank goodness. Also Ghost of Tsushima finally got itself a release date. Are we actually excited for it though in the midst of the major releases to come this year? We discuss. Also, Sean has set perhaps the most fiendish, downright evil and disgracefully unfair Trivia Challenge the podcast has ever seen. Probably. It was designed to expose our frailties, which is just mean, tbh. We also talk hands-on with The Hunt: Showdown, Overpass, Wunderling on Switch, Two Point Hospital, Holfraine, The Division 2's brand new expansion Warlords of New York and a video game called Final Fantasy VII Remake? You've probably heard of it, well we talk about playing it and if we can contain our excitement for April 10th. Note: We can't. Give it to us right now. Finally Sean's Indie Corner delves into Dangerous Driving 2, Skate Story (http://www.twitter.com/skatestorygame), Ghost Runner (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2zgVn_ECkU) and Sai (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GCAMvdv02Gs). Ep 56GDC 2020 Postponed | Xbox Keep Crushing It | A Back To The Future Remake?!
With Sean having a well deserved week off, Rossko, Greg and Paul jump into the weeks news and it all goes about as well as you'd expect when the grownup isn't around to keep us all in check. Still, we give a damn good go at talking about the ramifications of GDC's postponement and what it could mean for future events this year across the globe. Are we going to see more cancellations thanks to the possible spread of the Coronavirus? We try and take a stab from the exhibitors and consumers point of view, with surprisingly good results. Elsewhere Xbox have been waving their massive dick around again regarding cross-gen updates for their upcoming Series X platform and we talk teraflops and if it really means anything in the long run. Paul and Greg also get a little heated in regards to the timeline of the Terminator movies when we were supposed to be talking about the possibility of a Tom Holland fronted Back to the Future remake and Keifer Sutherland's name gets dragged back into our podcast kicking and screaming. It's all terribly dramatic. We also look ahead to this months big releases and see which ones we're particularly looking forward to, along with discussing how really rather good March's Games with Gold and PS Plus offerings are. You want more? Course you do! We also talk hands on with The Hunt: Showdown, Two Point Hospital on PS4, Greg talks his early experiences with A Plague Tale: Innocence and jumping back into Bioshock Infinite. We're gonna need you back soon, Sean. The inmates have burned down the asylum and are now arguing about Skynet on its ashes. | Theme Music - Don't Feel (So Low) - Mid-Air Machine. | Indie Corner Jingle written and produced by Sarah Finney | Podcast Edited and Produced by Ross Keniston | Published by Podbean. http://www.fingerguns.net / Team: @FNGRGNS / Rossko - @RosskoKeniston / Paul - @ThePaulCollett / Greg - @GregatonBomb / Sean - @Omac_Brother / Facebook: FingerGunsUK / Twitch - twitch.tv/fingergunsdotnet /If you enjoyed this podcast or any of our content, please consider supporting our Patreon > http://www.patreon.com/fingerguns. Ep 55What's The Next Mini-Console? | PSVR 2 Controller? | Our Favourite VO Performances
EHOLD UP: Before you go anywhere, just a quick heads up that Rossko's audio is, well, borked this week due to reasons we explain on the pod. Don't be alarmed by the rather scrappy quality, it's a one time thing and won't happen again. This week on The Finger Guns Podcast Rossko, Sean and Greg get down and dirty with the latest gaming news and we discuss the latest PSVR controller patent doing the rounds and whether or not we see it as a possible improvement upon the current Move controllers. PUBG and Black Desert has gone and got itself Cross-Play and we are very happy about it. Elsewhere there's a deep dive into the 'Mini Console' phenomenon and what possible systems are still to come in this rather niche console space (Also, worth listening out for Greg's live discovery of the Wii Mini's existence). We also choose our favourite video game performances over the years from the likes of Metal Gear Solid, Firewatch, Assassin's Creed and Telltale's Batman. Sean's Indie Corner also returns with a look at the return of Alien Hominid, Pumpkin Jack and Megacopter. Also, what have we been playing? Greg talks hands on with The Hunt: Showdown, One Finger Death Punch 2, The Division 2 and returning to Bioshock Infinite. Sean talks Daggerhood, Noir Case Files, 7th Sector, Claybook and the lovely looking Draugen whilst Rossko has been exclusively streaming via PS4 Remote Play and xCloud, checking out Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 and Descenders on xCloud. Oh, and Sean takes the team back to 2010 for a Trivia Challenge with far less drama than last week's utter pandemonium. How much do you remember about 2010's gaming output? Test your metal against Greg and Rossko. We're pretty sure you'll do fine. No really. Ep 54Anthem 2.0! | Remedy's Secret Project Speculation | PS5 Price Concerns
EThis week on the Finger Guns Podcast the gang are back together with Rossko, Sean, Greg and Paul taking a stab at the weeks news featuring a deep dive into what on earth Anthem 2.0 might be and if any significant changes to the game will be enough to bring back Paul, who if you're a long term listener knows he's not particularly a fan of. The rest of them team attempt to try and see the positives, who knows if it works? We also have some fun speculating just what on earth Remedy's secret project is. We know it's not a new IP, so which of their back catalogue are they bringing back to life? Max Payne? Alan Wake? Quantum Break? We have no idea, but it's so much fun trying to work it out. We also get into the PlayStation 5 manufacturing cost and whether or not that may spell trouble for the upcoming consoles eventual launch price. Are we right to be a little concerned? Sean, being The Knowledge, tries to reassure the rest of us that everything will be ok. Maybe. Rossko also talks briefly about his experience with the Sonic The Hedgehog movie (you can read his full review here - https://bit.ly/2HuF2FJ) along with his first impressions of the full Dreams release. We also talk hands-on with, Code Vein, L.A. Noire, 7th Sector and the team talk jumping back into The Division 2 after this weeks news of a massive content drop. Finally there's a 'Celebrities in Video Games' Trivia Challenge which ends about exactly the way you've now come to expect from The Finger Guns Podcast. There's *so* much Kiefer Sutherland drama. Way more than you've ever seen anywhere else. Buckle up. | Theme Music - Don't Feel (So Low) - Mid-Air Machine.http://www.fingerguns.net / Team: @FNGRGNS / Rossko - @RosskoKeniston / Paul - @ThePaulCollett / Greg - @GregatonBomb / Sean - @Omac_Brother / Facebook: FingerGunsUK / Twitch - twitch.tv/fingergunsdotnet /If you enjoyed this podcast or any of our content, please consider supporting our Patreon > http://www.patreon.com/fingerguns. Ep 53Sony's Scary PS5 Patent | EA and Acti Remasters | Resident Evil Quiz
EWhere did everybody go? It's just Greg and Sean this week as they partake in what can only be described as a "Joey heavy episode of Friends" version of the Finger Guns Podcast. The dynamic duo give impressions on Code Vein, Zombie Army 4, 7th Sector, 1 Finger Death Punch 2 and yet more Skyrim before talking about some of the hot topics of the week - EA and Activision are doing *more* remasters, Sony have made a mildly concerning patent and Phil Spencer says things that get taken out of context. Again. All of this is topped off by a new instalment of the indie corner, a quiz dedicated entirely to Resident Evil in Greg's honour and a round up of all the gaming releases coming out this week. Ep 52Switch outsells Xbox One | The Perfect Superman Game | The Wonderful 101 Returns?
EIn this weeks jam packed Finger Guns Podcast Sean, Paul and Rossko dissect the weeks news including all the major tidbits from Nintendo's Investors Conference Call including why there won't be a Switch Pro this year and the Switch outselling Xbox One. We also discuss The Outer Worlds upcoming release for the handheld hybrid which includes a physical box but no cartridge? Interesting. We also get deep into the GDC developers survey and find some surprising indifference towards the Xbox Series X with the PS5 gaining the majority console focus. We also jump headfirst into the rumour mill with Platinum Games' potential The Wonderful 101 Switch and PS4 remakes. You want more? Well we share a roundtable discussion regarding what could make the perfect Superman game, with Paul leading the charge the return of the Man of Steel onto our consoles. But how? And why can't any developer seem to get him correct? Sean also gets us all very patriotic with a *tough* British developer Trivia Challenge and his Indie Corner also makes a return, pointing you in the direction of Skathe, a fascinating untitled game from 3rd Shift Studio (http://www.twitter.com/3rdshiftstudio) and Red Thread Games *amazing* looking detective noir story Draugen. We also talk hands-on with Sisters Royale, Journey to the Savage Planet (single player and co-op), the Disintegration Beta, Not Tonight on Switch, Monster Energy Supercross 3 and Sean jumps back into Skyrim. There's also singalongs, arguments and a surprisingly good Stallone impression. So, a typical episode of The Finger Guns Podcast, then?(Quick heads up, there's a little bit of audio cackling at the beginning of the Superman segment. We've done our best to remove the majority though some may remain due to not wanting to cut out discussion related to the topic). Ep 51Cyberpunk Not Working on OG X1 and PS4? | New Silent Hill(s) | Nintendo in Court
EThis week on the Finger Guns Podcast Rossko, Sean and Paul cover the weeks biggest news including a deep dive into the real reason behind the Cyberpunk 2077 delay. Can your OG Xbox One and PS4 handle the game? It would seem CD Projekt Red have had to take the time to make sure it runs at all on the original systems. Sean and Paul go back and forth on whether or not it should have just launched on next-gen and skipped this generation entirely. Elsewhere we jump into a little bit of breaking news including Konami possibly working on two new Silent Hill titles and what they could offer. Do people really trust Konami products anymore? We also look into Nintendo's recent victorious lawsuit in regards to their eShop Pre-Order policy. Should it really be illegal to cancel pre-orders if you need to? This episode also signals the return of Sean's Indie Corner, as he takes a brief look at four upcoming indie games you should be keeping an eye on, including the brilliant looking Wavey the Rocket. We also have a Trivia Challenge that focuses on the game releases of 2012 and we talk hands on with Destiny 2 and Halo on xCloud, Paul continues his original Shenmue playthrough, Sean shares his latest Platinum and Rossko jumps into his backlog to finally start The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and The Order 1886. EWe're back! The first Finger Guns Podcast of 2020 is now live for your earholes and well, we've decided to start the year off with some fanboy baiting, because why not cause a little chaos in this messed up society eh. First up Sean lays it all on the line by throwing down a battle royale of the ages - just who has the better studios in the run up to the next generation - Sony or Microsoft? Friendships are put on this line before you can even say 'it doesn't matter, man. Games are fun'. We dissect all the games we know about from each studio to see which may come out on top in the run up to this years massive clash of the titans, the Series X and PS5. Ooft, it's exciting. Elsewhere we talk the leaked specifications of the PS5 to see if can stack up to Microsoft's tower that isn't a tower and if developers will flock to either power or popularity. Elsewhere Respawn legend Vince Zampella has joined DICE to oversee a brand new studio and we're very exciting to see what they're going to come up with. We also talk the games we've been playing over the Christmas/New Year period (essentially jumping into backlogs, as is tradition) and Sean refreshes our memory for upcoming releases in a brand new Trivia Challenge. It's a new season of quizzes so everyone's overall scores are back down to zero. Who's going to come out on top? You'll have to listen to find out. Ep 45Phil Spencer Refutes Xbox VR | Stadia is *still* trash? | Christmas Gift Guide | Marvel Trivia Challenge
EThis week on The Finger Guns Podcast Greg, Sean and Rossko talk everything VR and Xbox, including Phil Spencer's dismissal of VR coming to Scarlett along with Shuhei Yoshida's response. We then talk if we even want Microsoft to embrace the technology at all and rather just stick to their guns and make a straight up games console with no bells and whistles. Elsewhere we discuss the rather awful Stadia launch, along with a deep dive into their rather unfortunate forced refunds, just two weeks after launch. Yikes. Elsewhere we talk you through the Games with Gold and PS Plus games for December (just play Titanfall 2, ok?) and also get into their Christmas spirit by sharing our recommendations on what to pick up as a gift for the gaming enthusiast in your life. We also get back to basics by describing the difference between each system iteration and whether or not they're worth your time. Yes, most of you already know this but hey, we're just trying to help you know? We're nice like that. Sean also tests our Marvel games knowledge with another fiendish trivia challenge. Finally, we talk hands-on impressions with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Shenmue III, Football Manager 2020, Death Stranding and something called Dead-End Job? Never heard of it.Theme Music - Don't Feel (So Low) - Mid-Air Machine.http://www.fingerguns.net / Team: @FNGRGNS / Rossko - @RosskoKeniston / Paul - @ThePaulCollett / Greg - @GregatonBomb / Sean - @Omac_Brother / Facebook: FingerGunsUK / Twitch - twitch.tv/fingergunsdotnet /If you enjoyed this podcast or any of our content, please consider supporting our Patreon > http://www.patreon.com/fingerguns. EThis week on The Finger Guns Podcast Rossko and Sean go deep on their thoughts on Respawn's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, discussing everything from the story to the really rather brilliant BD-1. We also discuss where you can find that rather tantalising double lightsaber. Greg then joins us for the news as we talk just where the hell the promotion for Google's upcoming great big hope, Google Stadia. Also, why is it launching with all the features that makes it interesting to gamers? Like, literally all of them?! As the interest in Stadia has really quite shut down, is there a future for a system that's already rather poor out of the gate? We all talk the redesigned Sonic the Hedgehog for his upcoming movie and weirdly, we all think it looks pretty good. Finally Gamefreak has had a rough week as they've been accused of lying to their players. Naturally, the internet exploded and Sean goes on a heady rant to those attacking the developers. You won't want to miss it. You also get your very own quiz as there aren't enough players on the podcast to take it on. Ep 41Death Stranding Impressions | Hands-On With Capcom Home Arcade | Big PlayStation Changes
EThis week on The Finger Guns Podcast, Greg is in a rather fine mood as Death Stranding landed on his doorstep. He talks us through the first two hours of gameplay and whether or not he still has any idea what's going on. He also takes questions from Rossko and Sean who haven't played it and want to know everything. Yeah, even Rossko. We also grill Greg on his trip to London town to play Capcom's upcoming Home Arcade system, and whether or not it's worth its rather steep asking price. We talk the very exciting new role for Shuhei Yoshida at PlayStation. Sean is very excited and goes in-depth on what we could see from the indie output on PS5. Ep 40In Celebration of the PS4 | Games To Look Forward to Before 2020 | Best Horror Games
EThis week on the Finger Guns Podcast the whole gang is back together to discuss the weeks happenings in the gaming world. The team reminisce on PS4 memories as the system becomes the second biggest selling console of all time, what we love about the console and why we all decided to grab one at launch instead of Microsoft's 2013 offering along with why, away from the exclusives, we think the system has just done so damn well this generation. We also choose our most anticipated games to be released before the end of the year and given that we recorded this episode on Halloween, we tackle our favourite horror games from history and try and come up with the ultimate scary game (spoiler; we don't). We also dig into just what on earth the remake masters Bluepoint Games are tweeting about and give a nod of approval to 3 Minutes to Midnight, a fantastic point-and-click adventure game that cleared its Kickstarter funding goal whilst we were recording. Finally we talk hands-on with Afterparty, The Outer Worlds, Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Children of Morta, Megaquarium and more. EAfter the madness of our EGX week we're back to normal Podcast duties with Greg, Sean and Rossko in the hotseats to discuss EGX 2019 with some hard-hitting questions from Rossko (kind of). Elsewhere Greg went to play Boundary at the Ukie Studios to let us know why he's so very excited for this one to come out and why the rest of us should be taking this one very seriously. Something we shouldn't be taking seriously is Bethesda's latest very impressive way to shoot Fallout 76 into the sun once and for all with their Fallout First subscription announcement. Goodness do we have some thoughts. Also, Dead End Job has a release date! How very exciting. Oh, and Horizon Zero Dawn coming to VR? A hastily back-pedalled tweet suggests so...Elsewhere Rossko and Greg wax lyrical about The Outer Worlds, with plenty of positive impressions of the games early hours. Oh, it's so good. Plus we talk hands on with Lonely Mountains Downhill, No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again on PS4, Children of Morta, Megaquarium, Return of the Obra Dinn on Switch, Fortnite Chapter 2 impressions (SO MANY BOTS), and *very* brief impressions of Call of Duty's latest iteration Modern Warfare. Finally, the Trivia Challenge is back! Sorry if we've ruined Majora's Mask for you...Theme Music - Don't Feel (So Low) - Mid-Air Machine.http://www.fingerguns.net / Team: @FNGRGNS / Rossko - @RosskoKeniston / Paul - @ThePaulCollett / Greg - @GregatonBomb / Sean - @Omac_Brother / Tim - @tim_utley / Facebook: FingerGunsUK / Twitch - twitch.tv/fingergunsdotnet / If you enjoyed this podcast or any of our content, please consider supporting our Patreon > http://www.patreon.com/fingerguns. Ep 32Blizzard's Very Bad Week | Fortnite's In The Hole | PS5 Controller | EGX Hype!
EThis week on the 30th episode of The Finger Guns Podcast the entire gang is back together to talk all the latest in video games (shocker). We delve into the horrible no good very bad week Blizzard have had and wonder if there's any way back for them after their actions were so widely condemned. Have they done enough to earn back the trust and respect of their base? We discuss. Elsewhere Fortnite has turned into a supermassive black hole and Rossko and Sean discuss the reaction and how utterly brilliant Epic's marketing team are. Is there more than meets the eye to this ridiculously cool PR stunt? Will Sean's kids ever be ok again? We also catch up with the latest confirmed PS5 controller details and whilst exciting, we're a little concerned about yet another controller gimmick possibly being passed on by developers. Finally Greg and Sean are off to EGX this week and they're a bit bloomin' excited. Plus we have hands-on impressions of Concrete Genie, John Wick Hex, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games 2020 and Destiny 2: Shadowkeep.Theme Music - Don't Feel (So Low) - Mid-Air Machine.http://www.fingerguns.net / Team: @FNGRGNS / Rossko - @RosskoKeniston / Paul - @ThePaulCollett / Greg - @GregatonBomb / Sean - @Omac_Brother / Tim - @tim_utley / Facebook: FingerGunsUK / Twitch - twitch.tv/fingergunsdotnet / If you enjoyed this podcast or any of our content, please consider supporting our Patreon > http://www.patreon.com/fingerguns. Ep 31Bully 2 Isn't Happening | House of the Dead Returns | PS Now Price Drop
EThis week on the Finger Guns Podcast, Greg, Paul and Rossko dissect the weeks news such as Rockstar more or less confirming that Bully 2 - despite the fan outcry that it's a certainty - is almost definitely not happening, and what the means for future single player Rockstar experiences and even if we were ever really excited about it at all. We also long for the days of the light gun with the announcement that House of the Dead is making a triumphant return. How is going to work on consoles without light guns? We debate how they can be utilised on each console. We also deep dive into Sony's recent PlayStation Now price drop, and what it means for the future of the platform. Does it justify its price and can it compete with Xbox Game Pass? We discuss. Also Resident Evil is coming to Monster Hunter World: Iceborne and Greg is very excited. Finally we talk hands-on with Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, Untitled Goose Game, Black Desert and Control, along with some late-to-the-party impressions of Far Cry 5 from Paul. Paul also gets annoyed at a flight of stairs. It's quite something. Ep 30Misleading Final Fantasy VII boxart | The Last of Us Part II - No Factions | No Red Dead 2 DLC
EThis week on The Finger Guns Podcast marks the triumphant return of Mr. Sean Davies alongside Rossko and Greg as they dissect the possible misleading nature of the Final Fantasy VII Remake boxart. This turns into quite the debate from both sides regarding whether or not the episodic nature of the release is actually going to be worth the unexpectedly heavy financial hit its complete form will take. Elsewhere we talk about whether or not any of us give a damn that multiplayer mode Factions has been split off into a standalone game from The Last of Us Part II and Greg shares his thoughts on Rockstar not adding single player DLC to Red Dead Redemption 2. With Sean returning it also means a shiny new Trivia Challenge which in no way whatsoever is completely and utterly bias towards a certain member of the pod team. Not at all. Nuh uh. No siree. Finally we share our impressions of the Ghost Recon Breakpoint Beta, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, The Surge 2, Mario Kart Tour and Sean's late-to-the-party thoughts on Detroit Become Human. We also talk the Harry Potter stage play. Just because. Ep 29Hands-On With Apple Arcade | Digital Game Pricing | Terminator Resistance
EThis week on a short and sweet episode of The Finger Guns Podcast Greg, Paul and Rossko talk all about Apple Arcade. Paul gives us a deep dive into a variety of games available, if it's worth the money and whether or not it will appeal to those who aren't really into mobile games. Is the selection varied enough for Paul to keep his subscription after the free trial? I guess we'll find out in a few weeks. Elsewhere we get down and dirty in the murky world of digital game pricing, and try to work out just why games on online storefronts are most always so much more expensive than their physical counterparts. Just how cheap can Paul get Far Cry 5? That is the question. Not only that, but we talk Terminator Resistance after its reveal this week. Greg gets angry about Terminator Genisys again and whilst we came away impressed from the trailer, will it live up to that expectation? We also talk hands on with FIFA 20, Deadly Premonition Origins, the utterly fantastic Sayanora Wild Hearts, Mutazione, Wreckfest, Monster Hunter World, Bus Simulator (again), FIFA 20, Apple Arcade darling Assemble With Care and more, including pre-embargo non-impressions of The Surge 2 and Yooka-Laylee and The Impossible Lair. We don't talk about Link's Awakening. Rossko forgot to mention he's been playing it all week and is completely in love. We'll catch up with that one next week. Theme Music - Don't Feel (So Low) - Mid-Air Machine.http://www.fingerguns.net / Team: @FNGRGNS / Rossko - @RosskoKeniston / Paul - @ThePaulCollett / Greg - @GregatonBomb / Sean - @Omac_Brother / Tim - @tim_utley / Facebook: FingerGunsUK / Twitch - twitch.tv/fingergunsdotnet / If you enjoyed this podcast or any of our content, please consider supporting our Patreon > http://www.patreon.com/fingerguns. Ep 28We Went to Nintendo! | Project Resistance | Borderlands 3 Impressions | Tokyo Game Show Recap
EThis week on the Podcast, Greg and Rossko discuss their rather exciting trip to Nintendo HQ in Windsor along with their thoughts on Zen Studios' Star Wars Pinball. Who nerded out the most? Well, let's be honest, they both did. Elsewhere Greg discusses his thoughts on a new multiplayer Resident Evil game in Project Resistance, along with Paul's concerns (shocker). We also discuss the upcoming Last of Us Part II media event, what we're hoping will be announced and just when on earth the game will be coming out. Sean's date is rather realistic, Paul's hopefully isn't. We also talk what's been revealed from this week's Tokyo Game Show, including more talk on Death Stranding and the Final Fantasy VII Remake, along with catching up with what's being offered in Apple Arcade, is it enough to make us want to jump ship to iOS? Finally there's a massive shock in the Trivia Challenge, changing everything you thought you knew about our weekly quiz. Maybe. We'll see I guess. There's also hands on impressions of Bus Simulator (yup), the Call of Duty Modern Warfare Multiplayer Beta, WRC 8, Fracter, Plants vs Zombies Battle for Neighborville, Star Wars Pinball and a little indie known as Borderlands 3. Theme Music - Don't Feel (So Low) - Mid-Air Machine.http://www.fingerguns.net / Team: @FNGRGNS / Rossko - @RosskoKeniston / Paul - @ThePaulCollett / Greg - @GregatonBomb / Sean - @Omac_Brother / Tim - @tim_utley / Facebook: FingerGunsUK / Twitch - twitch.tv/fingergunsdotnet / If you enjoyed this podcast or any of our content, please consider supporting our Patreon > http://www.patreon.com/fingerguns. Ep 27Disappointing Cancelled Games | "ex" or "Cross" | Video Game Music Quiz | Nintendo Direct Recap
EThe whole FingerGang (note to self: don't use that term again) gets together for Episode 25 of The Finger Guns Podcast. This week we round up all the news from the latest Nintendo Direct, we discuss the game's that have been cancelled which disappointed us the most and we wade in on the 'ex' vs 'cross' debate regarding that pesky button on a PlayStation controller.Elsewhere, we give an update on the games we've been playing including Knights & Bikes, Fracter, Monster Hunter Worlds, Final Fantasy VIII Remaster, Plants vs. Zombies - Battle for Neighbourville, Control, Wreckfest, No Man's Sky, Headliner: Novinews and more. Lastly, Sean puts Rossko, Greg and Paul through a fiendish quiz on iconic Video Game Music. Ep 26TellTale Reborn | Sony Is Done This Gen | Kinda Funny and Publishers
EThis week Rossko and Sean welcome our old friend Tim Utley back onto The Finger Guns Podcast to talk the weeks news including the return of TellTale Games and what it really means, debating whether or not it's really going to be the same without the developers who made their games as fantastic as they were. Is there a future for a TellTale that isn't really TellTale? We also dive into just where the bloomin' eck Sony is and if they're wiping their hands of this generation in preparation for what's to come. Are they going to ditch attracting indies to the platform for PS5 much like they have on PS4? Sean argues that they're probably not going to and passionately declares it to be a reason to perhaps not back Sony into the next generation. Elsewhere as Kinda Funny Games take on another paid promotion series we discuss if there's a line that's skewering between an Influencers responsibility to its audience and the almighty dollar. Oh, and we talk our most anticipated games for the month of September along with yet more controversy in the Trivia Challenge. Finally we share our impressions of Remedy's Control (one of us loves it, one of us doesn't), Knights and Bikes, Wreckfest and Bulletstorm on Switch.Theme Music - Don't Feel (So Low) - Mid-Air Machine.http://www.fingerguns.net / Team: @FNGRGNS / Rossko - @RosskoKeniston / Paul - @ThePaulCollett / Greg - @GregatonBomb / Sean - @Omac_Brother / Tim - @tim_utley / Facebook: FingerGunsUK / Twitch - twitch.tv/fingergunsdotnet / If you enjoyed this podcast or any of our content, please consider supporting our Patreon > http://www.patreon.com/fingerguns. Ep 25Happy 10th Birthday Arkham Asylum | Ion Fury Controversy | D23 Recap
EHAPPY BIRTHDAY BATMAN! This week we have a full house with Sean, Paul, Greg and Rossko celebrating ten years of Rocksteady's masterpiece, Batman Arkham Asylum. We discuss what the game meant to us and how it's still impacting gaming today. We also go deep on the latest Ion Fury controversy, this time backtracking on their apology regarding offensive content. Have they caved to Steam reviews in pursuit of their creative vision? We also have a long ol' chat about the D23 Expo and its many wonders, particularly the Marvel and Star Wars announcements, get excited by The Rise of Skywalker footage and debate a certain tidbit of news regarding Spider-Man's place in the MCU. You may have heard about it? Either way, we have differing and surprising takes on this news. We also talk hands-on impressions of Erica, Superhot on Switch, Hamsterdam, Pacific Wings and um, Gears POP. Finally, the Finger Guns Trivia Challenge throws up possibly the most melodramatic conclusion in its short history.Theme Music - Don't Feel (So Low) - Mid-Air Machine.http://www.fingerguns.net / Team: @FNGRGNS / Rossko - @RosskoKeniston / Paul - @ThePaulCollett / Greg - @GregatonBomb / Sean - @Omac_Brother / Facebook: FingerGunsUK / Twitch - twitch.tv/fingergunsdotnet / If you enjoyed this podcast or any of our content, please consider supporting our Patreon > http://www.patreon.com/fingerguns. Ep 24The Gamescom Opening Night Live Reaction Special | Sony buy Insomniac!
ESean, Greg and Rossko get together directly after the Gamescom Opening Night Live conference to discuss everything - and we mean literally everything - that was revealed in the two hour show presented by our favourite host, Geoff Keighley. There's also a rather brilliant discussion between Greg and Sean in regards to what is so intriguing about Death Stranding. We all weigh in on our favourite moments of the event and the games we're most looking too along with a very quick look at the Stadia Connect event and Nintendo's Indie World Direct earlier in the day. Oh, we also get a quick chat into the massive breaking news during the Gamescom ONL; Sony bought Insomniac! There's plenty to get excited about, and plenty to get angry about it would seem, in Rossko's case...yikes. We have quite the cold open this week.Theme Music - Don't Feel (So Low) - Mid-Air Machine.http://www.fingerguns.net / Team: @FNGRGNS / Rossko - @RosskoKeniston / Paul - @ThePaulCollett / Greg - @GregatonBomb / Sean - @Omac_Brother / Facebook: FingerGunsUK / Twitch - twitch.tv/fingergunsdotnet / If you enjoyed this podcast or any of our content, please consider supporting our Patreon > http://www.patreon.com/fingerguns. Ep 23THQ Nordic Have Gone Crazy | Gamescom | Need For Speed Heat | Kenobi?!
EThis week Sean, Paul and Rossko dissect just what on earth THQ Nordic have up their sleeve for the next couple of years, what they're not yet telling us and which games we're going to see first out of the gate from their ridiculous IP spending spree. We also jump into what we're most likely to see at Gamescom Opening Night Live from a huge amount of publishers providing brand new announcements along with new content. We also delve into why we're not really all that excited about Need for Speed Heat after that rather mediocre trailer and Sean returns once again with his fiendish Trivia Challenge, but this time it's Sean that wants to kill us, rather than the other way around. I can't think why. We also discuss our hands-on impressions of No Man's Sky VR, Madden NFL 20, Damsel, Sagebrush, Exception and Rossko jumps back into some PS4 Sony exclusives to stress test his shiny new TV. He still doesn't like God of War and it's grounds to have him removed, tbh. Finally we discuss the rather delicious rumour that Ewan McGregor has got himself signed up for a Disney+ based Obi-Wan Kenobi series. Let the speculation commence! Also, what did the first person think when they walked past a gravestone? How very confusing.Theme Music - Don't Feel (So Low) - Mid-Air Machine.http://www.fingerguns.net / Team: @FNGRGNS / Rossko - @RosskoKeniston / Paul - @ThePaulCollett / Greg - @GregatonBomb / Sean - @Omac_Brother / Facebook: FingerGunsUK / Twitch - twitch.tv/fingergunsdotnet / If you enjoyed this podcast or any of our content, please consider supporting our Patreon > http://www.patreon.com/fingerguns. Ep 22The Retro Edition
EThis week the team kick back and discuss their favourite games and consoles from yesteryear in a one-off Retro Edition of your seventeenth favourite podcast. Sean, Greg, Paul and Rossko go through each generation one by one discussing some fond memories of those classic consoles, from the Amiga 500 all the way to the Dreamcast, stopping only to take part in a Retro Trivia Challenge hosted by Mr. Sean Davies. There's plenty of laughs to be had with some ridiculous stories of gaming in our youth, from nearly-complete Halo saved files being deleted to huddling around a TV playing GoldenEye with our schoolmates. There's also a story about a man with a van turning up at kids houses in Somerset and offering them games to rent for a weekend. It gets weird. Also, did you know Greg was a Resident Evil fan? You sure will by the time this episode is over.Intro Music: Victorious Accomplishment - Mathgrant > https://bit.ly/2MdGErWOutro Music: Don't Feel (So Low) - Mid-Air Machinehttp://www.fingerguns.net / Team: @FNGRGNS / Rossko - @RosskoKeniston / Paul - @ThePaulCollett / Greg - @GregatonBomb / Sean - @Omac_Brother / Facebook: FingerGunsUK / Twitch - twitch.tv/fingergunsdotnet / If you enjoyed this podcast or any of our content, please consider supporting our Patreon > http://www.patreon.com/fingerguns. Sean returns with a Video Games 'First Time' Quiz (and gets totally schooled...), Greg gets passionate about Capcom's continuous mistreatment of the Street Fighter fanbase and we get excited for Netflix's The Irishman along with spoiler-free impressions of Amazon Prime's The Boys. As always we discuss what we've been playing, which this week includes a game we definitely can't talk about because it's not real. Not at all. Ep 20Gamblin' Theft Auto | EA at Gamescom? | Video Game Sound Effects Quiz 2
EThis week on the latest episode of The Finger Guns Podcast, Rossko, Sean, Greg and Paul all weigh in on the GTA Online Diamond Casino controversy with a deep dive into exactly what it's all about, who it may be attempting to target and whether or not Rockstar are being slightly reckless with their microtransactions, balancing out the argument with Paul and Rossko discussing how it's actually quite fun to play if you avoid the casino floor altogether. We also try and decipher whether or not EA are holding a Gamescom press conference and have yet another horrendously difficult (for us, anyway) trivia challenge where we may or may not have completely forgotten some classic video game sound effects. We also discuss our impressions of Wolfenstein spin-off Youngblood, the frankly terrifying multiplayer adventure The Blackout Club, Horace, Wargroove on PS4 and much more, including video game comfort food (classic games we go back to time and time again, not actual food..Greg). Also, is Dark Ghost really a game? The argument rages on.Theme Music - Don't Feel (So Low) - Mid-Air Machine.http://www.fingerguns.net / Team: @FNGRGNS / Rossko - @RosskoKeniston / Paul - @ThePaulCollett / Greg - @GregatonBomb / Sean - @Omac_Brother / Facebook: FingerGunsUK / Twitch - twitch.tv/fingergunsdotnet / If you enjoyed this podcast or any of our content, please consider supporting our Patreon > http://www.patreon.com/fingerguns.
