So, you mentioned as a former chief security officer, so our programs spanned a large number of jobs. We owned aviation companies, we owned maritime companies, logistical trucking companies, warehousing, and so that's corporate security. And executive protection was only a small part of that." "Treat 'em like it's Michael Jackson, treat him like he's Bill Gates, because if you put that kind of work ethic into everything you do, now I'm not saying you do it once or twice people are gonna notice, but after doing it for many years, eventually the cream rises to the top. And a lot of that had to do with Erik, you know, all the super duper programs that I was running, which were very successful with both the DoD and the agency, it was never a contractual thing for Erik."Blackwater's selflessness to protect allies - Enrique: "There was the Polish ambassador to Iraq. He was driving around with his PSD, not a Blackwater PSD, and they got hit and hit hard, taking an enormous amount of casualties. He himself was wounded or burnt or something like that. They hit their tracker and there was a Blackwater unit not too far from there. They responded. They took care of the bad guys and saved the ambassador and everybody else. And that was, again, that wasn't a contractual thing. They were taking a risk doing something that they would get no remuneration for." When I went in, the hardest thing was discussing with the individual that hired me, given an assessment, that they are the problem."Defining the difference between security policies and procedures - Aaron: "Risk assessment is the foundation, the base of every protection detail. So you can write the SOPs—and policies and procedures and SOPs are two different things. The policies and procedures, there's an education point too, are dictated by the corporation or the family office or the security company, meaning that Aaron, if you fly for over six hours, you can book first class or you have to allocate this way when you're doing receipts or yada yada yada, where SOPs are your actual operating procedures when protecting that client." A lot of people will tell you why they can't do it or worry about why they can't do it. And actually, once they've done it and they look back, they're like, actually it wasn't that bad.
