Is it time to move beyond JUST online courses?
This is episode 276 of the Fearless Launching Show. Today we’re talking about that moment that happens for all online entrepreneurs where we ask the question -- do I really need another online course? Or do I need something more?" This week I'm covering 5 actions you should take if you’re ready for something beyond an online course! We all start needing to learn things. So we take the courses, we download things...and we get to work. Maybe we’re in this cycle of downloading and doing for years. At some point, I hear every single student and person I know utter the words, “ugh, I don’t think I need another course. I have plenty to apply right now.” Resources: Apply: https://annesamoilov.com/incubator Watch: https://annesamoilov.com/masterclass
The Two Sides To Every Launch - Which one are you missing?
Have you ever wondered why your launch didn’t work...even after you download the complete checklist, do all the things, run all the ads, and can honestly say you’ve even written/sent multiple multiple closing day emails. Today I’m going to share with you exactly what you were missing--even if you followed a perfect launch blueprint. Just like there are 2 sides to any story. There are 2 sides to launching. Stop Waiting For Feedback (3 ideas to help you get started)
We wait for a lot of things in our lives...the right time, the perfect conditions, when we're older, when we have more money, when we've got a house. And in our business, sometimes people wait for the sale, the call, the list to grow...for people to give us feedback (and social proof). What if you have no social proof, testimonials, or case studies ... how are you going to sell your services or programs if no one can vouch for you? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Here are 3 ideas to inspire you to gather social proof even when you're creating something brand new! Having Simple & Streamlined Launches Is NOT Impossible: Here’s why
This week, we're going to talk about the dream of the streamlined and simple launch. Which is funny, because it's so easy to make our launches harder than we need to. Even though we try to keep things simple...it is so easy to make simple parts of the process and your launch harder than it needs to be. It could be a mindset issue or block or some limiting belief--and you know what? It almost doesn’t matter why...because no matter what’s creating this need to layer on things to your launches, once you see how it feels for things to be simple, you will not want to go back to it. But simplicity, streamlined, stress-free is possible. Let's dive in. Full show notes and resources mentioned here: https://annesamoilov.com/273
How the right systems, people, and tools can impact your launch (the good & the bad)
Raise your hand if you’ve ever experienced one of these launch challenges… Something didn’t work or simply BROKE during a launch – a tool, a person, a strategy You struggled to find the right person to help you set up your launch or new course You couldn’t decide what course builder or email platform to use You didn’t give yourself enough time And if any of the above has happened, then you may have thought… Launches are hard. Launches are crazy-making. Launches are overwhelming and stressful. Why do I do this to myself over and over again? But it doesn't have to be this way. If you're ready to have an easier time launching, look no further than the systems, people, and tools you use to make your launch happen! Ready to beat launch overwhelm? Create this tool before your next launch
How much time are you wasting before launches, trying to recreate what you did during your last launch or creating content/communication/stuff from scratch? Today I’m sharing the #1 thing you should create right now to avoid all the headaches, stress, and overwhelm that people tell you launching causes. No matter if you’re new to the launching game or you’ve been doing it for years, this is the one thing you should do before you launch again! Spoiler alert: If there's one thing I suggest to all clients no matter what their size and experience, it's to do an inventory and then create an organized launch library or asset list. This process can be overwhelming, so that's why I guide new members of the Launch Incubator (my small application-only group coaching program) through it before helping them create their launch plan. 266: Breaking Your Launch Into Phases
Today we're going to be talking about why I break my launch into four phases. If you'd like to go deep into these 4 phases, make sure to sign up for my webinar: https://annesamoilov.com/masterclass First, before I plan anything and before I get started on the work...before I even really fully think through the launch, I break it, I break it apart into four different phases. There are four really good reasons why I do that. I wanted to share that with you today because I know a lot of people, whether it's a difficult time in your family's life or in the world or you're just struggling just to get things done and be consistent, or maybe you're afraid you won't get everything done. I find that when I break my launch into these four phases, it helps on so many different levels. So I wanted to share that with you today so that you could start making progress. If there's anything that I want for you more than within actually anything else, it's just that feeling that you're making progress every single day. Want to dive deeper into these phases and get coaching and personalized strategy? DM me so I can tell you how!
265: Are You Playing The Launch Comparison Game?
Today's episode is for you if you find yourself comparing yourself or your business to what other people are doing in their businesses. Read the post and dive deeper here: http://www.annesamoilov.com/launch-comparison-game/ Imagine this: you’re planning your launch, getting things done, feeling great about your progress and then it sneaks up on you...the launch comparison monster. You’re handling your business … you not only feel effective, but you are also actually BEING effective. Then along comes a bump in the road you didn’t expect. Someone who’s a few steps ahead - or let’s be honest - a few years ahead of you in terms of where your business is - how beautiful their launch looks, just everything about them is the better version of where you are...or at least that’s how it feels. 264: Are launches still working?
Launches can be kinda scary… We've all seen the ones that are wildly successful and launches that don't work at all. The pie in the sky dream launch stories followed by complete dead in the water disasters. And both make you want to run for the hills and never utter the word launch–much less actually try to launch something of your own. But if you haven't launched yet – you should know something. Launches often don't work. But why?? If you are just starting your business, trying to gather the courage to launch your first product or service, you might be wondering why launches seem to work for only part of the time…or maybe they just work for a small majority of people. 263: Feeling Squeezed? My mantra for moving forward
Today I'm sharing a mantra that I created over 10 years ago when I wrote/launched my first product - The White Space Solution ebook. Scroll down to get a reserve a free copy of the latest edition - free from now through April 2020. Have you ever felt squeezed in your life or business? Unable to move? Completely stuck? If you're reading this around the time I'm publishing this, then there's a good chance you do feel this way...we're all connected by that global issue of being stuck at home, paused in our work, maybe looking to start something new. If this is you, I get it. Sometimes it can be a challenge to set yourself free or move at all. Over 10 years ago now, I launched my very first book called The White Space Solution...and recently I took it back out to look over the concepts, see if I could apply it to the crazy global situation happening right now. Because truthfully, I’ve been feeling all of the feelings and this as tapped into so many parts of me that I haven’t looked at for a long time. Life can be demanding, overwhelming, and filled to the brim with the good and the bad along with your health, relationships, work, play, children, and all those things on your to-do lists that keep getting pushed off to someday. 262: 4 Ways To Experiment Better In Your Business
Today's episode is all about how to experiment better in your business...this even applies to your launches too. In February, I hosted a very informal Launch Love challenge...the plan was to post videos on IGTV and then repurpose those as short podcast episodes. There were 4 main places that could have made the entire experiment more successful help me reach more of you! Listen in as I share my honest account of the month, the challenge, and what I'm doing moving forward. 261: Do A Launch Inventory (thank me later)
The simple practice that makes launching so. much. easier. Taking inventory is something you normally want to do before you start working on your launch, but in reality, you may end up discovering the inventory as you go along. Make a list of everything you might consider something you can use for your launch. Your inventory should consist of THREE types of “assets” - you may find these already existing in your business. *People - Includes team, affiliates, business partners, collaborators, biz besties *Content - Includes blog content, podcasts, videos, facebook lives, any content *Systems - Includes your tools, your process for doing things, even your payment process Often people try to create everything from scratch when it’s not necessary. Sometimes you’ll have the exact people, you’ve already created all the content, and you’re currently using all the systems you need to execute a launch. Don’t give yourself more work than you need to do! Time to do your own inventory right now. Download the complete challenge guidebook now for more questions you can ask to complete your inventory: https://bit.ly/launchlovechallenge
260: Revise, Update, and Repurposing Oh my!
Repurposing your content is probably the best thing in the world you can do. Repurpose doesn’t mean a straight cut and paste...but it does mean you get to use the exact content in a different format. Not only will this save you loads of time, but it’ll allow your best content to be consumed in different ways. And of course, this means that you get to reach more people. Go back to your inventory of all the content assets you identified. Pick 3 things you can repurpose. Create a new format/media version of that content. Maybe a blog post becomes an Instagram image and post. Maybe a video becomes a blog post. Maybe a podcast becomes content for a Facebook Live. (Yes, you’re allowed to do this!) 259: Why we need a little notice when you're launching
Why we need a little notice (And Why It's Important) People love a look behind the scenes. I don’t know of any business that can’t benefit from showing the process, a first look, or even looks at what’s being created along the way. Now, beyond people loving to be voyeurs into the process and seeing what’s really going on...why are these so powerful? Simple - they take people on a journey with you. You invite people to be part of the creation of what you are making for them. You allow them to be co-creators! 257: Not ready to say yes? (That's a good thing)
Today’s prompt is important because as you’re going along in your business, you’ll be faced with lots of choices--lots of people who want to work with you, lots of courses to help you be a better business owner, tons of tools to choose from, and you’ll have to choose who you say yes and no to. Starting today - I want to encourage you to say no to anything that doesn’t give you an immediate, “OMG I’d do that for free” feeling. Say no to demands on your time that will push your launch further in the future. Say no to people who want you to support them during your launch. Say no to playdates for your daughter, when you’ve got two webinars planned. Say no to conversations about other people’s businesses during your launch. Say no and protect your launch. Learning to say no - helps you set healthy boundaries with everyone in your world and also your soon to be customers and clients. 256: Closing loops (getting to a "yes" or a "no")
Download the full challenge guidebook here: https://bit.ly/launchlovechallenge Watch the video here: https://www.instagram.com/tv/B8txeWVJrcO/ Today, we're talking about follow up and why it's so important whether you're doing a traditional live launch or not. There are a few types of follow up you might have to complete today. First, there’s the type of follow up we all need to do. Emails and voicemails and inquiries that need to be replied to... Today, make a list of some follow up you can complete, even if it has nothing to do with your launch. I like to set one day a week to make sure I’ve followed up with anyone who’s waiting for me to follow up! If you don’t have time to follow up, still respond to someone and give them a real time you will follow up with them. Second, when you are in launch mode, follow up is critical. It can be the difference between a sale and no sale. Make time several times a week to respond to every email, social media message, comment and voicemail you receive. Why? Think of each one of those people as someone who may want to work with you, buy your product, and simply needs your help. Leave no comment unanswered--on your blog, on videos, scour your Facebook groups. Do everything you can to close loops like this during a launch.
255: Set These Dates First For Your Next Launch (Even If It's Saturday)
No matter what day of the week it is, sit down right now and set a few dates to help you start your launch map. Why? Because even just a few dates will give you that tiny bit of structure to start thinking about your launch, what needs to happen by each date and give you a little nudge to get to work. Watch this episode over on IGTV too: https://www.instagram.com/tv/B8mOgUdJqwB/ If you want to dive into this mapping process, here are 2 free resources you can grab right now. 254: Why You Need Someone Willing To Tell You You're Wrong (Sometimes)
Want to watch this on IGTV? Watch here: https://www.instagram.com/tv/B8kAWEnJIhe/ Who are the people you know have your back, support you, call you on your “stuff" and remind you when you’ve gone off track? Think about people who’ve been friends, clients, maybe family members, besties, classmates...anyone who’s taken a role to remind you to keep going. Who will hold you up when you’re not sure you can do it? Here's what to know about getting the right type of support--even the stuff you don't want to hear. Who's on your launch team - who can be honest, tell you when they don't get it, and don't turn into "yes" people? Grab your Launch Challenge guidebook: https://bit.ly/launchlovechallenge
253: What's Your Best Channel?
What's Your Best Channel? (plus a rant) When you’re first starting out planning a launch, even starting your business, you might find yourself wanting to be everywhere all the time. Now’s the time to look at the various places you show up online and offline...and where you’re getting the most feedback or having the most conversations. This can be as simple as noting that you have a growing audience on Facebook but not on Instagram or vice versa. You might notice that people mostly email you personally. Maybe you have in-person clients that you signed via speaking at local events. Where do you get the most interaction with people? Choose the top 3. Focus on those places for sharing and publishing content. Focus on networking and getting to know people in those spaces. 252: Launch Goals vs. Launch Projections
Launch Goals vs. Launch Projections👇👇👇- Watch on IGTV too: https://www.instagram.com/p/B8enqjkJ3x5/ Want to read more about setting launch projections? https://annesamoilov.com/setting-launch-goals/ Download the launch challenge guidebook here: https://bit.ly/launchlovechallenge "Goals" is a big word, but today, I want you to think about your first launch (for a free or paid offer) this year. Grab your notebook, because you’ll need space for this! What are your biggest goals for the launch? Is it revenue? How much? Is it a number of new clients or customers? Is it a certain number of subscribers? Your goals might even be about why you want to launch...and what it would mean to your life. Goals for me are a mix of specifics, of the why and the vision. Specific goals of the launch: Why it’s so important for you to reach those goals: What’s the bigger vision behind this launch and how it aligns with your business? The point with setting goals is simple - you’re setting a target for yourself.
251: What's Your Ideal Customer's Biggest Problem?
Okay, so what's the problem and your solution? Once you start to understand who your ideal customer is, their dreams, their passions, their goals in life...you'll also start to see how they struggle. 250: Finding Your Ideal Customer - Are you my person? ...And other awkward questions
Today we're talking about your person. You know, the one person you are creating your products, your services, and you are desperately trying to find! You don't have to be creepy like me or direct...sometimes it takes a bit of listening, understanding, and curiosity to find out who needs your work the most! 249: Why You Need To Stay Focused: Learning + Achieving More In Less Time
Do I really have to choose just one thing👇 👇 Today is all about building your focus muscle. Download your challenge guide here: http://bit.ly/launchlovechallenge Watch today's video episode on IGTV: https://www.instagram.com/tv/B8MZ_CWJMHr/ Even if you’re launching, you may decide that you’re going to focus on a piece of that bigger project, maybe list building, maybe something you’re going to do to get you to your launch. My suggestion is to choose the product or the service or the THING you want to launch, but be open to that changing throughout the challenge. Tomorrow you’ll discover new things about what your audience is actually struggling with (as opposed to what you think they are struggling with). This might be your toughest prompt of the challenge if you think you can multitask or have trouble sticking to one project at a time. Do it. Please. Resist the urge to take on multiple projects this month.
