Kevin would have guessed so many other players before getting to Grover Stewart as a player getting busted for this offense. Will there be a trickle-down effect on the rest of the defensive team with Stewart's absence. (13:47 - 21:25) - Morning Checkdown (21:26 - 43:41) - NFL owners voted to move the ability to interview coaches currently employed in the NFL until after the Divisional round of the playoffs. College or unemployed coach interviews were not impacted. The Colts made some roster moves in response to the Grover Stewart news. The team just continues to lose their top talent week after week for a variety of reasons and there isn't really anyone on the roster to get fans excited for their replacement. One caller on if the Colts should have signed Julio Jones. (43:42 - 1:15:52) - Stephen Holder of The Athletic joins the show and gives his initial thoughts on the Grover Stewart situation. He was surprised by the news as he says most of these announcements are never expected. Holder interviewed Jim Irsay earlier in the week and got the story on Anthony Richardson likely being out for the year. Holder asked Irsay about some parallels between this injury and the Andrew Luck situation. Would Richardson getting surgery by the end of October mean he could be a part of the full offseason program next year? (00:00 - 13:11) - Tuesday's WUC opens to sad news as Anthony Richardson is done for the season as surgery seems to be the way the team will be going. It still isn't a 100% certainty but Jim Irsay said in interviews yesterday that Richardson will likely be out for the season. The news coming out of the Colts Camp seems to be a bummer for the past week. Some clips from head coach Shane Steichen about Richardson needing surgery. Rick Carlisle will be on the show top of the 8 o'clock hour. (13:12 - 20:24) - Morning Checkdown (20:25 - 40:32) - More discussion on Anthony Richardson's injury news. The probability of surgery or of rehabbing the shoulder. Kevin says that biggest thing he wants from this whole situation is clarity on the future. A bit of talk about the potential of where college basketball prospect Boogie Fland will be playing. Should the Colts already be thinking about drafting another quarterback? Kevin brings up the statistic that 1 out of every 6 times Richardson threw the ball, he got hurt. He also had a variety of different kinds of injuries. Coach goes into detail about all the news draft picks and new signees, how they have performed up to expectations. The team has been picking up their 3-point shooting this pre-season. They are shooting 48 a game compared to the mid 30's last season. (1:11:45 - 1:21:50) - Is Shane Steichen going to change up the gameplan for the Colts next game? Less passing and more running. Steichen is always first to blame the coaching rather than the players. How much does that actually help the team though? Kevin says he thinks that Minshew really wanted to prove himself in this game and then had a very out of character performance. Minshew threw 4 interceptions in the game. The Colts didn't seem to match the intensity that should have been there for a rematch against a divisional opponent you lost to at home earlier in the season. (15:52 - 21:55) - Morning Checkdown (21:56 - 41:31) - Colts special teams did not help their case yesterday. Andy says that Indianapolis has a small margin of error in their games and when your offense is struggling every other factor of your game counts. Kevin thinks that Minshew really starts to limit the offense with his abilities. (41:32 - 1:11:34) - Kevin found himself asking "why" more than "how" yesterday with a lot of the Colts play calling. Andy compares the amount of passes Minshew threw to a radio host who gets all his info out in the first segment. Minshew has played for multiple colleges and multiple NFL teams already in his professional career. He is the kind of player to have a chip on his shoulder. The guys start to take some calls about how one dimensional the Colts offense has become without Richardson. (1:11:35 - 1:22:25) - Kevin went to the Butler bowl on Saturday to catch some Bulldogs football. Anthony Richardson has really only played a handful of segments before potentially getting injured for the year. If Richardson sitting out due to surgery keeps him healthier for longer then Colts fans should embrace the possiblity of him getting surgery.
