Ep 2380MISSISSIPPI MUD MONSTERS TOOK BIG DUMP ON ME
This new professional baseball team in Pearl decided to take a big ol dump on your favorite radio host by asking me to throw out the first pitch this Thursday night to only change their mind without letting me know, the only way I found out was because I saw a Facebook post from the girl the chose instead. I harbor no ill will towards her, but I am salty AF about the whole situation.

Ep 2376THE "CULTURE" IS LIKE A CANCER (PT 2)
Ep 2375THE "CULTURE" IS LIKE A CANCER (PT 1)
The current state of urban black culture in Democrat cities like Jackson, Mississippi is like a deadly cancer that kills everything it comes in contact with, my stance against school choice, the brawls at restaurants, mayhem in the streets, etc. is what happens when you allow the "culture" to overtake a school, business, neighborhood or town. People hate hearing this and it's an extremely uncomfortable conversation to have but we have to start openly and loudly discussing it!!

Ep 2368HEAVY HITTERS SHOW (Ep #2) W/ GUEST: WALKER PEARSON & CORBIN ALLEN
Weather Roof: A Story of Grit, Hustle, and Outlaw Entrepreneurship In the heart of Mississippi, two young entrepreneurs, Walker Pearson and Corbin Allen, have built Weather Roof, a roofing company that embodies the spirit of overcoming adversity and carving your own path. Founded in 2020 by Walker, Weather Roof is more than a business—it’s a testament to resilience, organic growth, and the audacity to chase success against all odds. Walker, now 26, and Corbin, 27, are the definition of outlaw entrepreneurs. Their journey began with humble roots and hard lessons. Walker faced personal rock bottom in his early 20s, battling addiction and a toxic relationship that led to multiple stints in the Madison County Correctional Facility. It was there, during a 32-day stay, that he had his "aha" moment. Surrounded by career criminals, he realized he didn’t belong in that world. An ankle monitor and court-ordered programs forced him to confront his choices, sparking a fire to rebuild his life. He started Weather Roof as a one-man operation, driven by a vision and a name that popped into his head one day. With no formal business plan, he leaned on sheer determination, knocking on doors to sell roofs—an approach many shy away from but one that became the cornerstone of Weather Roof’s organic culture. Corbin’s story is equally compelling. Growing up in Brookhaven, Mississippi, he faced a childhood marked by instability, with a mother struggling with drug addiction and a father in and out of prison. An 8th-grade dropout, Corbin found himself in trouble throughout his teens, culminating in a two-year prison sentence at 18. In Rankin County Jail, a fellow inmate’s prophetic words gave him hope: “God can use a failure, but He can’t use a quitter.” That moment ignited a transformation. Upon release, Corbin taught himself carpentry through YouTube, hustling to build porch swings and furniture to make ends meet. His work ethic landed him a job in air conditioning, where he shattered expectations, selling $3 million in systems in a single year, outpacing seasoned salespeople despite his lack of formal education. Together, Walker and Corbin have scaled Weather Roof into a powerhouse with nine branded trucks and a 20-person team. Their success stems from a relentless door-to-door approach, undeterred by rejection, guns pulled, or odd encounters—like the client who sealed a $28,000 deal with a spit-soaked handshake. They’ve turned “no” into fuel, building a brand that now attracts clients through referrals, Google, and social media. Yet, they remain grounded in their roots, fostering a culture of growth, fitness, and mutual support, inspired by like-minded peers like Michael Deere. Weather Roof’s story is about creating your own luck. From Walker’s childhood dream of a Lamborghini to Corbin’s hustle to provide a better life for his four kids, they’ve embraced the pain of entrepreneurship—mental, physical, and emotional. Their mantra? Outwork everyone, surround yourself with truth-tellers, and never fear failure. As Walker puts it, “You gotta cook.” And cook they have, proving that with grit and audacity, even the toughest storms can lead to clear skies. For more on Weather Roof or to explore roofing options, visit their website or check out their vibrant social media presence, where their journey continues to inspire. Ep 2369What is "Black Fatigue"? Trump Brings Down Drug Cost By 80% & More (Ep #978)
Clay Edwards Show - Monday, May 12th (Ep #978) 1- We’re breaking down President Trump’s massive executive order to cut prescription drug prices by 30-80% using a “Most Favored Nation” policy, forcing Big Pharma to match the lowest global r2-ates. Joined by [guest names], we’ll dig into how this could save Mississippians big money, rattle the pharmaceutical giants, and stir up the left. 2- Trump’s hitting the ground running, folks! In just 100 days, illegal crossings are at historic lows, and he’s calling Mexican cartels what they are—terrorists. This is what we voted for: a secure border and no more coddling criminals. Mississippians, are you proud or what? 3- We discuss a new phrase that's gone viral over the last week called "Black fatigue" which describes the frustration, often voiced in conservative circles, over the perceived overuse of racial narratives or "woke" policies, which some argue exhausts constructive dialogue and fuels division. 4- A Rochester, MN, woman, Shiloh Hendrix, is caught on a viral video allegedly hurling racial slurs at a 5-year-old Black kid at a playground, and it’s blowing up! Rochester PD’s done digging and sent the case to prosecutors, but nobody knows if charges will stick. Hendrix claims the kid stole from her, then rakes in over $675,000 online for “protection,” while the NAACP pulls $341,000 for the kid’s family. The left’s screaming racism; the right’s yelling free speech or hoax.

Ep 2362THIS PLATFORM ONLY EXIST BECAUSE LOCAL MAINSTREAM MEDIA SUCKS!!
We forced local mainstream media outlets to cover the announcement that 3 Doors Down leads singer Brad Arnold has stage 4 cancer because they were set to completely ignore until we called them out on this show and online. This topic led to me explaining how and why this platform not only exist but thrives because local media refuses to cover stories people actually care about and refuse to cater to the conservative majority in central Mississippi while pandering to the minority and hiring out of state talent that use us as a stepping stone to bigger markets.
Ep 2361FAFO FRIDAY - FULL SHOW (Ep #977)
In this jam-packed episode, Clay kicks things off with a lively recap of his night at the inaugural Mississippi Mud Monsters minor league baseball game in Pearl. From the vibrant turquoise-and-black uniforms to the family-friendly fun, Clay paints a vivid picture of a team bringing excitement back to Central Mississippi’s baseball scene. He shares hilarious anecdotes, like navigating a wardrobe malfunction in the gift shop while snagging a stylish Mud Monsters hat, and reflects on the team’s opening night growing pains with a crowd of over 4,500. Clay’s enthusiasm is infectious as he urges listeners to support the Mud Monsters, emphasizing their role in creating affordable, fun outings before the Mississippi heat sets in. But Clay doesn’t stop at sports. He dives into a thoughtful analysis of why minor league baseball struggles in Central Mississippi, citing the region’s competitive recreational landscape. From travel ball commitments to the allure of college baseball at Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Southern Miss, Clay argues that the demographic most likely to attend games—families and young athletes—is often stretched thin. His solution? Market the Mud Monsters as a family-friendly spectacle where fun, food, and drinks take center stage, with baseball as a delightful bonus. It’s a compelling case for reimagining minor league baseball’s appeal in the South. The episode takes a sharp turn into Clay’s signature “free-for-all” territory as he tackles a range of topics with his trademark candor. He plugs local businesses like Martin’s Livingston and Acme Pizza & Daiquiris, offering mouthwatering recommendations for Fried Chicken Fridays and specialty pizzas that make for perfect weekend outings. Clay also gives a shout-out to Ric Flair’s upcoming appearance at Southern Sky Brands, humorously noting the catch for fans wanting to meet the wrestling legend. His passion for local culture shines through as he challenges the notion that “there’s nothing to do” in Jackson, pointing to a vibrant scene of concerts, dining, and sports that rivals bigger cities. Never one to shy away from controversy, Clay wades into a “light-hearted” discussion sparked by a Twitter debate about a hypothetical race war in America. While firmly dismissing the idea as absurd and undesirable, he engages with the topic to highlight its futility, pointing out the diversity of perspectives within communities and the unlikelihood of such a conflict. Clay’s commentary is both provocative and reflective, urging accountability and higher standards across cultures while rejecting divisive narratives. He also addresses the Tyre Nichols case in Memphis, critiquing media narratives that frame the verdict through a racial lens, and calls out local news outlets for their selective reporting on issues like Brad Arnold’s cancer diagnosis. Sprinkled throughout are Clay’s personal anecdotes, from his love of live music (reminiscing about $17.50 Metallica tickets in 1989) to his frustration with Ticketmaster fees. He celebrates Rankin County’s transformation into Central Mississippi’s entertainment hub, citing events like Pearl Day and concerts at the Brandon Amphitheater, and contrasts it with Jackson’s fading cultural dominance. The episode wraps with a nod to upcoming guests like Dr. Spencer Mills and a call to action for listeners to engage with the show’s social media. The Clay Edwards Show is a rollercoaster of humor, insight, and unfiltered opinions, offering a unique lens on Jackson’s challenges and triumphs. Whether you’re a local looking for weekend plans or a listener tuning in for Clay’s take-no-prisoners style, this episode delivers. Catch it live on 103.9 WYAB or stream on SaveJXN, and join the conversation by sharing, liking, or dropping a comment. As Clay says, “You don’t get this kind of content anywhere else!” Note on Positive Solutions: The transcript’s reference to “too many positive solutions” is a sarcastic jab at critics who demand feel-good answers without addressing gritty realities. Clay’s approach—highlighting local events, supporting businesses, and calling for community accountability—offers practical positivity grounded in tough love, not sugarcoated platitudes. The episode balances critique with celebration, proving there’s no shortage of solutions when you’re willing to confront the issues head-on.

Ep 2355AMERICA IS NOT SCARED OF CONFIDENT BLACK MEN, STOP SAYING THAT!!
I've noticed something recently, it seems like every time black America doesn't get the outcome it's looking for when it comes to a black man they use the phrase "America is scared of a confident black man" to express their anger for the situation. I personally have no problem with confident men of any race, it's weak, unconfident scared men that I do in fact fear, see every failed dictator in world history as example A, B, C, D & E!!

Ep 2352WHO'S TO BLAME FOR RISE IN RACISM? (Ep #975)
1- I wonder if this portion of black America has ever asked themselves why so many people have become racist? For the better part of my life I've heard black people say that racism is taught in the home because nobody just wakes up one day and is racist, I believe that events like this will prove that wrong 2- Social media users are praising Cincinnati father (cop killer) Rodney Hinton for m*rdering a random police officer after his son was shot by police in a carjacking incident. 3- Showing y'all a video from 1961 in Mississippi with the for citizens Council president where says some truly racist things about black people, it made me think that 2 things, damn that's racist and 2 there's no way to have ever known he could look into the crystal ball and realize how right he was.

Vicksburg tells Jackson to hold it's beer after Friday nights brawl at Mexican restaurant Margaritas and has a cinco de mayo shooting inside the "Superior Crab" while their police chief is there during their Cinco party. This leads me to discussing an idea about getting local restaurant owners to pool together and set a hood rat trap to keep the trash out of good restaurants by creating a place so good that they won't want to go anywhere else. Hour #2- We play the Matt Walsh reaction video to the Shiloh Hendrix ordeal and how she may have just single handedly canceled cancel culture.

Ep 2350HEAVY HITTERS (Ep #1) W/ GUEST MICHAEL WIMBERLY
Yo, what's good? I'm Clay Edwards, and whether you're a longtime listener of The Clay Edwards Show or just tuning in, welcome to my brand-new project, Heavy Hitters—a show all about outlaw entrepreneurs, those hustlers who carve their own path to live life on their terms. What's an outlaw entrepreneur? Man, it’s hard to pin down, but you know one when you see one—folks who hustle hard, whether they’re running their own business or killing it in sales like real estate or car deals, building a life they love without punching someone else’s clock. For the next 6-8 weeks, I’m sitting down with business owners who’ve got their name on the checks, starting with my boy Michael Wimberly, a real estate broker with Insight Group and the owner of the legendary McB’s Bar & Grill. Michael’s a mentor, a partner, and a guy who’s been through the grind—losing it all, starting over, and coming out on top with grit and hustle. He’s flipped the real estate game with a flat-fee model that lets his experienced agents keep more of their cash, and he’s poured his heart into McB’s, turning it from a dive bar into a community staple where folks bring old T-shirts and relive memories. From real estate to running a bar, Michael’s story is about investing in people, taking risks, and learning that running a restaurant is like chasing 1,000 marbles on a truck hood—tough as hell but worth it for the community you build. Tune in as we talk hustle, heartbreak, and how to keep swinging no matter what.

Ep 2343BREAKING NEWS - RANKIN COUNTY GOON SQUAD SETTLEMENT
JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Two men who were abused by five former Rankin County sheriff’s deputies back in early 2023 have settled their civil suit against Rankin County. On April 30, U.S. District Judge Daniel Jordan issued an order dismissing the suit brought by Michael Corey Jenkins and Eddie Terrell Parker, saying that the two had reached a settlement with Rankin County and the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department. Jason Dare, an attorney for the department, provided details about the $2.5 million settlement at a press conference Thursday afternoon. “The county will pay $500,000 for that resolution. The county’s insurance will pay its policy limits of $2 million for [the] resolution of that case,” he said. Dare told reporters outside the Rankin County Detention Center that the $500,000 would come out of the sheriff’s department’s budget. “The citizens of Rankin County are not going to be impacted by the settlement of this case,” he said. In a follow-up interview with WLBT, Dare said services will not be impacted, and that the $500,000 will likely come from different line items in the sheriff’s $24.2 million budget. He said the payment will likely be made in the next 14 to 30 days and will be in one lump sum. The Rankin County Board of Supervisors will likely have to approve a resolution authorizing the payment. It was not known when that resolution would be presented. Dare went on to say that the settlement is not an admission of guilt on the county’s or the sheriff’s department’s part. However, he did speak to the impact that the Goon Squad’s actions had on the victims, the sheriff’s department, and the county itself. “A lot of people were impacted by what happened in Braxton, Mississippi, on January 24, 2023, most notably, Mr. Jenkins, Mr. Parker, and their families, but also the Rankin County community, and the fine, upstanding law enforcement officers who are with the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department, who have weathered the storm that has ensued since that day,” he said. “To everybody, we hope this resolution brings some sense of finality... and peace.” Parker and Jenkins filed the suit in June 2023, months after they were abused at the hands of five former Rankin deputies and one former Richland Police officer on the night of January 24, 2023. The two were seeking $400 million in compensatory damages, punitive damages, interest, and other costs. Those former officers have since been sentenced on state and federal charges.
